I have been going to Carrie for a few years now and she does a fantastic job! When I first started going to Carrie, my hair was extremely damaged from bleach that was too harsh. My hair is now healthier than it has ever been thanks to Carrie! She is very knowledgeable in what she does and I would recommend her and her salon over anyone in Bozeman!

Well I guess it’s finally catching up. After having not been in for some time I entered and inquired if they were open for tanning. A woman from across the room interrupted stating she would be with me after finishing her story. Already completely different experience from the reason I used to come here, customer service. The woman then promptly explained pointing to the previous owner, she no longer owns the salon so your account is no longer valid. I smiled and said thanks and left quickly. At risk of saying something rude. I lost three pre paid spray tan and respect for the new owner. Sad to see how small town charm and customer service is quickly being replaced with designer bag mentality :(

She has top quality tanning beds that are always kept pristine as well as a diverse range of lotions, all of which are highly affordable in comparison to other tanning salons in the area. Love this Salon! I have had my hair done by two stylists there and had a great experience with both. Ive stuck with Korey because shes able to work around my busy schedule and ILOVE my hair every time I walk out! The staff is very friendly whenever Im there. Its a great place and they really make you feel comfortable! You really cant go wrong with any of the stylists there!Ive also tanned there before and it really is the best bang for your buck when looking for a tanning salon!

The new owner of Essence Salon has made so many improvements to the place it is amazing!! If you havent been there in a while, I suggest you give it another shot. I tan frequently and am a regular of Korey, she is awesome! I have always been super happy with my hair and she is flexible in scheduling! I love this salon! When I moved here, I had a hard time finding a hairdresser that I trusted and Korey has been amazing! She is always quick to get back to me and always willing to work with my crazy schedule. She is willing to try crazy things and makes sure you look amazing before leaving. Cheryl is fantastic. Ive tried several salons in Bozeman for the last 3 the years, after living in the Philadelphia area for decades. Im so glad I met Cheryl. She fixed a bad haircut (texturizing shears were used on thin, straight hair) and dye job I had done in 2018. I have naturally red hair (like penny red) and I do get warm highlights put in from time to time. Red hair is real tricky and she knows what shes doing! Superb work, I told her last night this is the best coloring Ive ever had. Further, I have naturally straight hair, and she cuts it so it has flow and body. So impressed and cant say enough great things on her talent and trade - she listens and provides her experience. Thank you Cheryl.

Lisa was recommended by a friend and I saw the work she had done on her hair, so I made an appointment for a haircut for myself. She was great, very professional and speedy, all done during my hour lunch. The salon looked great, fun colors, and nice staff. I would highly recommend them!

Cheryl Baker’s Essence Salon is one of them - perhaps the only one in Bozeman. Cheryl is accommodating, personable, and gives the best cut in town! Not only do they have awesome clean tanning beds at a price to beat the competition, but they offer hair cuts and the best darn nail care Ive ever received. In the past I couldnt justify having my nails done because they just chipped away the next day. Cheryl introduced me to shellac which she has in a wide range of colors. It LASTS, AND LASTS AND LASTS. Cheryl is talented and sensitive. I had been frustrated with other salons in Bozeman, but she has greatly improved my hair, my brows, my nails. She keeps track of a clients hair issues & does excellent color and cut. She pays attention and is very skilled. My hair was so bad--thin, limp--i had to keep it covered. Now i dont even think about it, as she has restored its body and shape. Its a pleasure to meet her for appointments.

Korey is awesome, I have lived in Bozeman for three years now and have struggled to find a good hair sylist! Someone recommended her to me and I was very happy with the results and the service at the salon. I do not know how the place was ran when it was under a different ownership, but the new owner now has done a wonderful job turning the place around!

I made a walk-in appointment here after moving to Bozeman and bam! I found my hairdresser- Korey at Essence. She is very efficient, kind, and also good with blonde. I highly recommend this salon.

Everytime I have been to Essence I have really enjoyed my experience. Not just the great quality of work that they do but how hospitable and welcoming the whole staff is. If someone walks in that is a regular for tanning, they are greated right away. That always says a lot when people remember you by name. I go to Korey and she is wonderful! She makes time for appointments but never seems rushed if she is fitting you in and makes sure to give each client the time and respect that they deserve. She stayed after closing time to make sure that I was completely satisfied with my cut and collor. She also offered to drop off some shampoo and conditionar that she recomedned for blondes that was not to spendy at my job site ON HER DAY OFF. That spoke volumes about her as a hair stylist as well as a person. I would deffinately recomend Essence Salon to my friends for any service they may wish for.
