Was the coordinator for a wedding here 7/31/21. Everything turned out beautifully. The DJ was awesome...he even wore a suit. The photographers were amazing. The decorations were simply gorgeous. The food was good.
Beautiful location, we were a small party but the buffet service was pretty quick with serving dinner. The food was good, was seasoned well. I would recommend this location.

So far we have had a great experience with Sterling Banquet Hall. Our wedding is at Venue #1 right off the beltway and it is beautiful! Since we began planning, the Owners and Representatives have been with us along the way ensuring we have all the Ts crossed and Is dotted. Our wedding was postponed because of the pandemic and Ali is one of the Owners that I have been working with since. They took care of us with a few upgrades to offset the situation the pandemic created and we are truly grateful. We are definitely looking forward to our Mid-June wedding this year. Me and my wife booked our wedding for May 1st 2020 but because of covid we couldnt use the venue. The Manger Sam allowed us to reschedule for May 1st 2021 to have our reception which I thought was awesome!!! The service we received on our special day was awesome. The decorations were actually how we wanted the set up was nice!!!! The waiters, bartender and security did an awesome job but BIG UPS to the bartender he made some amazing drinks. My family really enjoyed themselves and are still talking about that nite. Thank you Sterling Banquet Hall staff for an amazing experience!!!

Horrible experience they double booked the venue after taking my $500 deposit. So basically if you pay your deposit it does not guarantee your booking!!!

It was really great working this event Hall with DJ Geo. They were very accommodating and make sure that we were able to provide a great experience for our clients. This location is very easy to get to, its a more intimate setting, meaning its a little bit smaller, so really great for those who want to have a smaller scale event, but still have a great, large experience. Definitely will be looking to book more of my clients here, its just a really easy to work with event location and the accommodations are outstanding.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The decor was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they covered every minor detail. I’m so glad we chose Sterling for our ceremony and reception. All the guests enjoyed everything as well.

They let you bring your own stuff, food, etc. We are extremely pleased with all the services, specially the event staff, they were very good and friendly, helped on everything and were super friendly. Very nice staff and wedding chapel separate from banquet facilities. However, the decorations were nice but basic. Its great for an event, but not if youre looking for something unique.

My daughter just had her sweet 16 event here and it was wonderful! The staff was very nice and the facility was decorated exactly how we wanted it. Mr. Shaquil made sure we had everything we needed.

I have to absolutely thank Mr. Shakil, at the location off of the beltway, for EVERYTHING he did for my wife and I. We were truly blessed to find him during this covid pandemic and our July 26, 2020 wedding was gorgeous and EVERYONE that could have made it that day STILL raves about how beautiful it was. That day could have not been done with the Sterling Banquet Hall. Everyone was soooo easy to get in contact with, so professional, so accommodating even with the covid. We absolutely love you all there and will definitely be back!!!

We had our sons 1st birthday party at the Hammerly location with 230 guests. There was plenty of parking, separate, open area where appetizers and lunch was held, as well as a bar area for drinks. The room was big enough to comfortably mingle around the tables and stage size was perfect for our decor. Customer service was excellent as well. Give them a call and check out the locations.
Sterling banquet hall was a wonderful choice to host our wedding! I LOVE the venue! My husband and I had a lot of fun at our reception, and the staff was a big part of that. The weeding coordinator is outstanding. From the first time we met with her, it was clear that she was on the ball and ready to help us however she could. The day of the event, the staff was awesome. They were catering to everyones needs. The food was exquisite as well, something that my family is raving about a lot. In addition to that, we feel that the pricing was very reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend Sterling banquet hall.
This was my first time visiting this banquet hall. It was totally amazing. Very big and spacious. The dance floor was amazing. The bathrooms were very clean. The staff there were very professional. Everyone had a great time. Lots of parking spaces.

I had my sisters wedding here in the summer . Overall everything was exceptional. The manager and staff really took care of us and attended to all our needs . The waiters were also very considerate and helpful with our guests as well. Everything was done with great care. I can tell they work very hard here . I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a potential hall.

My wedding was April 8, 2016. I must say it was absolutely beautiful, the people from the venue made everything very swift and the hospitality was great! Many guests complemented the food and the venue itself. Thank you so much for a night we will cherish for the rest of our lives!
Great versatile banquet hall. Hosted our parents 50th wedding anniversary here.
The venue promised the ceremony before would be done and ready by 4:00pm to decorate for a 5:30 ceremony. The room wasnt ready until to go into until about 4:45pm. It was a disaster trying to get it setup in time while guest were starting to show up. Of course the manager could care less. The layout of this venue is awful. All the guest have to walk through the reception area, through a long dark skinny hallway to finally get to the ceremony space that is shared with the room next door. The dressing rooms are tiny, if you have any more then 3 bridesmaids good luck getting them to fit in those rooms. A few more guest showed up to the reception then expected. There was not management or supervisor on staff, none of the staff speaks English besides the bartender. The staff refused to set up any more tables until they spoke to the owner. It took about 40 minutes to get him on the phone. The manager said he would charge us $150 per extra table. Then 20 minutes later calls back and says that the money has to be paid upfront. I get the money from the groom and it still takes another 20 minutes before the tables even start coming out. By the time they set up the two tables with the chairs guest had left because they had no where to sit. The owner is just money hungry, they rather make a bad impression to all of the guest (potential customers) then to just have the staff set up the extra tables and put it in their invoice. Whats the point in making the couples sign a contract if you going to ask for the money upfront and nickel and dime them on the wedding day. It should state in the contract somewhere if there are more people then guaranteed that the couple will be charged accordingly instead of making people pay on their wedding day. Unprofessional staff, I had to tell one of the staff to get off their phone during the cocktail hour/reception. This venue is dark, dingy, cramped with a horrible layout. Dont waste your money here. I will make sure to let everyone know that Sterling Banquet Hall is a rip off.
Everything was great in reference to the decorations and environment but the hall later became warm after many occupants. It would have been great if their AC worked to lower the temperature.
Doing business with these people was a pleasure, I had my Anniversary / Vow renewal party we booked 8 months in advance and the whole process went smoother than we expected, they guided us through the whole process from selecting the right colors, to choosing the right center pieces for the tables.Initially the coordinator who was helping me out was Syed, when we left for a vacation Sam took over, and I didnt feel for a moment that a new guy was dealing with my contract and event, they are really on top of things.Food was good too ! Our guests had fun thats what matters the most.
I recommend this place. Hall, dressing room, and a church. Bar, stage, awesome. Not sure the cost I was attending a wedding.
I thought the place was nice with HONEST and pleasant people working there until I found that things were stolen from my purse. I also found out that other individuals in the wedding party had money and other belongings stolen from them during the festivities. Workers were seen in those areas cleaning. If you do decide to have an event here please be sure to secure all your belongings because the dressing suites do not have appropriate locks to use and you may come back to find things stolen from the room.

My husband and I just held our wedding at this location. Everything turned out beautifully. We had a slight miscommunication concerning us having server on duty, but the staff diligently resolved the matter and we moved on to enjoy our wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple that is seeking a location to host their wedding!
I was there for my friend s wedding and the place was really spacy so we had a 3 different podiums, well decorated and also children was able to play and dance without bother or bother others. I was reaaly nice

Simply excellent, so we looked up this venue online, we were actually booked at another venue which was charging us way more and we had already put down money there, but when we visited Sterling we were simply amazed and changed our wedding location to theirs, the best part is that they were offering a beautiful wedding chapel for just $500, which really caught my attention, it was way cheaper than the church we were planning on having there ceremony at.During the event the service & decor was great, food was good too, only issue we had that we forgot to tell them we wanted their cake cutting service, which is actually free but we thought our cake vendor would take care of it, but she didnt, during the event when we asked the head waiter to cut the cake and give it out they told us they were not informed, I felt a little irritated and told him off, either way we talked to the coordinator and the owner and figured it out really fast they were pretty helpful after that, and later the head waiter appologized and we tipped him as well.Over all great experience will def recommend.
First time I walked in I fell in love with the hall, it is beautiful, clean without much being added . I did my wedding ceremony June 15th . Shakil was very pleasant to work with I had the opportunity to bring in my table arrangements a few days in advance so they can help set up since you are given only 3 hours prior to your event start. This I give them credit for .But what I did not like was the hidden fees . Like you will pay $100 for every hour if you wanted to start setting up early.I was having alcohol and external caterers, based on my package I was given 2 servers, 1 bartender and a security guard . So you will think Security guard is to watch over everything given hall is close to the beltway but no. 3 cars of my guest got broken into and a lot was lost, given most of these people came out of the state and got rentals to celebrate with me.When I called the management about the situation, Ali said it was a police matter and they will corporate with police if asked for anything(security tapes). Security I paid for was because I brought in alcohol and to intervene if there are any unruly guest .Since the hall official cut off time is 2am, you can extend at $500 for every hour after 2am. If you are unaware of the price the bartender and security will make you pay $700 so they have a better cut. That was the situation we had when the bartender and security demanded more of what we were told it will cost . After cut of time apparently no alcohol is to be served so when I was carrying out the conversation with management - Ali about the car break ins and the time extension and how I was going to write an honest review on all of this, he tried to blackmail me by saying if they went through the surveillance videos for the cops will they see people drinking after 2am? I told him to go ahead and do whatever he needed to do. I dont own the business, if that is the case, your employees are they ones who needs to know their job and not me . It is fair to say you cant do anything for the break ins but do not try to blackmail me on my own truth.

Just horrible. Shady business owners and workers. Needless to say I went elsewhere and was treated like royalty without all the hidden fees and forced upgrade optional options. They told me lighting was optional then told me I HAD TO have it for 100 more and they quoted me a 400 service fee on phone and when I got there quoted me 800 service fee and told me I couldnt call the owner to discuss the shady pricing. Horrible horrible way to do business. Save yourself time and money by choosing a venue not ran by money hungry people and that care about their customers. Venue I chose gave me 4 HUGE upgrades at no additional costs...why? They were more concerned on making my wedding day the best rather than making a buck here and there. Now that will draw in customers not milking people who clearly have budgets and trying to accommodate their customers.

I hosted a graduation party for my brother a few months ago. Had not had the chance to write this review but I knew at some point I would make time for it. Will start of by saying that I ABSOLUTELY love the interior and color coordination of the W sam Houston parkway location. The chandeliers and wood floors gives this place an exquisite look. Everyone that attended our event was amazed by the decor. Staff, was very professional, had the pleasure of working with Sam. Very amiable person and easy to talk to. Willing to accommodate and customize our packages to our taste without any hesitation. Pricing was exactly what we expected. Theres a full bar available, with ice and beverages for all our guests. We were allowed to bring our own alcoholic beverages which was great. Food was delicious too. So far Ive recommeneded this place to two different people and both have booked their events. Thank you Sterling banquet Hall for making our event a great success. Will continue to refer and recommend this place to all my family and friends.
I attended a wedding there this weekend and the bathrooms were out of order. There was a sign on the ladies room that it was closed for 30 minutes, but I was told the bathrooms were out of order in all bathrooms. The restrooms were unavailable all night. There were 2 weddings going on and no restroom facilities were available! Other than that, the staff was very nice and the reception was very nice. I feel bad for my friends since many of us had to leave early due to no restroom facilities.

A great place to have your wedding!!! I enjoyed it. The experience was nice, the space is large, and the price that my friends paid was minimal.
My daughters wedding was held here. On a visit prior to her event, I was very disappointed in the condition of the chair covers. I was assured that on the day of our event this would not be the case. To my surprise and disappointment the condition of the covers were horrible. Many of them were torn and stained. They attempted to change some of them, but it was totally unacceptable. My sister commented to me on the state of the chair covers. The wedding was to start at 3:00 pm. The staff was mopping the floors as guests were arriving. This was unprofessional and embarrassing. My daughter was told that there would be champagne glasses for the toast. The bartender poured the champagne in pastic cups, with hundreds of glasses right behind him. The wedding coordinator had to have vases changed out at the last minute because they did not match. I was very disappointed with the overall service provided. The food was very tasty and the DJ (Not provided by the venue) was excellent. Most of the guests seemed to have a good time and appeared to pretend not to notice the many problems. I did not expext the wedding to be perfect, however, this venue did not do its best to make this day special for my daughter and her guests. This was their duty. This is what they were paid to do. Please go someplace else if you want good service and professionalism!!

Our second year using the banquet hall for Passover. They did an amazing job!!! The head waiter and waiters were extremely pleasant and very accommodating. They offered suggestions and followed my requests. The set up, decor and lighting was all perfect. The entire event was amazing. All our guest raved how beautiful everything looked.Thank you for making this a memoriable occassion for us. I look forward to doing it again next year.
Makes absolutely no sense why I couldnt get out of the mens bathroom during a friends birthday party. Fix your doors, maintain the facility, do routine maintenance checks.
We were referred to Sterling Banquets through a co worker who had her wedding and her daughters sweet 16 here. Getting married for the first time I was very picky about every single detail, something like a BRIDEZILLA LOL.. Weddings are stressful !!!. I worked with Sam there who is the co-owner, he is very accommodating and a sweetheart ! he assigned me to a wedding planner who helped me though out the whole process till the wedding date. We just had our reception here, although they have a great chapel, but my mom wanted me to get married at Our Church ..everything went well during the reception, they delivered all what they promised and we loved it.We had an outside DJ and outside photographer, but they food was through them which was great.
I went to Sterling Banquet Hall yesterday to check out my set up. The overlays on my table were placed on the table with wrinkles. I asked the lady who was setting up to put them in the dryer, but the client should not have to do that. The kitchen was also dirty and I asked them if they would be able to clean it for our wedding on Sunday. Then thw womens restroom on the big hall side only had one roll of toilet paper in the very last stall.I can post a picture later on, but writing this review from a mobile device.Sam Moosavi has good customer support though. I believe he is the owner.If you bring in your own food please be prepare to bring in your own set of servers and etc.
There are 2 reception areas that are too close together. Other wedding was rowdy and we could hear it the whole ceremony.

We got married here February 25th 2017, everything was just simply amazing ! they did everything as promised and much more. Staff was on point, food was great and omg their DJ got us all dancing till 2 am. Thank you Sterling team you guys rock!

I had my daughters sweet 16 party at this venue, the decor, DJ, food and ambiance was just better than we expected, they also threw in additional decor and tables, on the whole everything was great for the price that was charged, will go back for my youngest daughters sweet 16 in 3 years. Please talk with Sam if he is available, he is very helpful.

I am surely going to recommend everyone to come here because they take the time to get things done. Though it may be a little pricey but if you want quality this is your best choice. Just have your own DJ. The one that they recommend is too arrogant.
Ok, I highly suggest you look for another hall. The party was not over and the contract ended at 2:30 am but the owner and security guards wanted to end the party at 2 am. Bad Bad Service.

One of the best wedding location to work with as a vendor. Theve taken care and gone beyond at multiple events. Though the location is a little away from our ethnic clients, most client still choose them because of the elegance and personalization of events.
