DONT MOVE HERE!!This is by far the worst apartment complex I have stayed at…they had me sign my lease online before move in date and in the lease it said how much I owe which was the prorated amount then the date of move in they tried to require me to pay the full amount of rent and rent wasn’t even due yet. You can imagine how angry I was they sprung it on me last minute. I felt like Benjamin doesn’t take any concerns seriously! I moved in to a toilet that had noticeable scratches and the toilet was stained yellow. I asked for a replacement and the most they did was put blue dye in the water, just cheap. My toilet then started giving me problems like leaking and running all night and day and the the chain breaking multiple times and they didn’t do anything but put a bandaid on it… lastly my toilet started being damp on the toilet seat and the toilet top… how gross is that. Benjamin and the Maintenance man came by and said he didn’t see any defects so I probably wouldn’t get a replacement and that I could replace it myself…what kind of establishment is this..it’s like pulling teeth to get anything done here… don’t rent here!!

I went through a lot to get this apartment but Martha helped me through the process.Unfortunately, I wasnt able to see the apartment before moving in. The complex is old and its visible. I think the pictures online were from when the apartment was first built. The neighborhood is not that great.One major problem is that there are roaches. They have pest treatment every Tuesday but its still uncomfortable living with roaches. They never truly go away neither so I will just have to adjust to it. Its only a 3 month lease so I can manage.My advice is to come and see the place before purchasing it.But Goodluck.

No complaints with this apartment complex so far. They always have reasonable prices and special deals. Nearby pretty much every store you may need. Management and maintenance are very helpful and responsive. Benjamin was extremely handy throughout my whole move-in process, he even installed my new shower head! Would definitely recommend for living.

I LOVE living here!! If you’re looking for affordable & peaceful you need to look no further. Inside the neighbors are friendly & many are long time residents (now I see why). The office is always ready to help in any way they can & more than helpful in all situations. If you’re looking for a home, come here, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I love that i have places around me to shop at & that im near downtown i actually love the apartments not loud at all, no easy access, friendly neighbors & two huge pools . its just my whole year living here . the water or lights are always off due to the apartments problems not sure why but its like constantly but the apartments are great over all!

It is that time of the year where I would like to give my thanks to an excellent office and maintenance staff. The Huxley has a very professional staff that is very good at what they were hired to do! I have been here for 8 years now and I have been pleased with this staff the most! When I have any thing that needs to be done in my apartment I put in a service request and it is taken care of quickly. When I have questions about my rent I promptly get an answer from the office staff. There is no reason for me to move because I am content where I am now. I am on the side where the auto shop is and that is the only little noise I hear sometimes!So to the staff that’s here now I sayTHANK YOU for such a pleasant community!

The staff is all very supportive they help you in any way they can. The maintenance is great they come the same day to fix problems and if they can not make it they notify you. Everything is done online so you always have records of the things you submit. Parking is easy and always available. Great appliances, amenities and apartment in general!!!

Great Staff! Benjamin is very easy to work with. He made my move a little easier. He was patient and provides the best customer service ever. Thank you! Maintenance comes to investigate repairs in less than one hour the two times Ive had to call. The neighborhood is gated and its quiet. Very close to the medical center, freeways, shopping areas, and downtown. Reasonable prices and sometimes they offer special deals.

I have viewed several apartments today and I must say the experience I had at The Huxley was the best . The apartment I viewed today was beautiful! Much like some others I’ve seen. The difference was the level of customer service I received from Ms. Alexandria. She was very welcoming and friendly. She was the 1st to ask what was important to me for my new home. She seemed to genuinely care. I can spend my money anywhere and I choose to spend it where I am treated the best. Once my employment relocation is completed, I’ll definitely return to lease.

I’ve been a resident here for about a year and I absolutely love it. The location is great and my apartment is everything I asked for. The staff is very nice and prompt with any concerns or questions. I definitely recommend it.

I am enjoying my stay here at The Huxley at Medical Center. The staff is very professional and friendly. The maintenance staff always takes care of my issues the same day I submit the request for a service repair. They keep the property clean as well. I have recommended this property to my friends because its in a great location and they have great prices. You can actually walk to the Reliant Stadium from here, and save money on parking when you go to a Texans game or something at the NRG Stadium.

I deleted my review because I felt it harsh plus apparently the Huxley is under new management but today Im upset again. My whole time here I havent seen not one roach. Today so happens to be my move out date but I seen 4 today alone. Weird. I keep my place clean!!! I had other issues but its too long to list. I hate it here.

When I first got here a few years ago it was not like it is now. Office staff is amazing and goes above and beyond for the residents. Maintenance is quick when you have work orders. I have been blessed to live here with such a great staff... This is truly my Home.

Me and my girlfriend have been on the look for a specific apartment and she was able to give us the exact one we wanted and didnt try to make us just apply and fail. The prices here are amazing and the amenities are even better, they even have 2 pools on the property. Im so excited to be able to move into my first apartment by the end of the year.

The Huxley Community has been my home for the past 2 years! The office staff Ms Carla, Benjamin and Alex are the best ... they are always there when you need them ! Fast friendly maintenance staff as well. Quiet and clean complex with plenty of parking. If you’re looking for your future home this is the place !

We scheduled an appointment to look at one bedrooms, but the person that scheduled it accidentally scheduled the viewing after their closing hours. Luckily, the man that was working showed us the units anyways and was super nice about it!! Highly recommend checking these apartments out!!

Unfortunately in this complex I had bad experiences, the applications were approved but the complex set its conditions, which did not meet our needs as a client. We were asked to send everything by mail to have evidence and in their emails and calls they contradicted each other in one minute they told you one thing and in another they changed everything. They were asked in the most attentive way to return the money and to communicate with us but we never received a response, which solves the lack of professionalism and commitment of all their staff. Another point and what I most affect for being Latin and not having a social, (I am an international student) and that is why I do not have a social, they put the condition of paying more by deposit, so be very careful when you apply I do not recommend choosing this place like a future home if from the process they make it so uncomfortable. It took them 1 week to respond, which was a waste of money and time for us. I can bet that this post will respond if it is the case with kindness to look good but they never answered us by email and they kept the money for applications and administration of 2 adults.

I am a new resident but so far my move in process has been nothing but pleasant . Alex was the leasing consultant that assisted me through my process and she made sure everything went smoothly . The property manger is really sweet as well my gate card wasn’t working and she personally gave me one to use until mine could get programmed and that was a great representation of management.

Benjamin and Alexandria assisted very well and answered all questions and concerns I had. The maintenance crew was even nice and they fixed my small issue right away! Im in love with the fact that everything is so close, so drive time is never too bad. The price, renovations and might I add VERY HOT WATER Haha, overall everything so far is a Win here at The Huxley! I love my little apartment! Keep up the great work!!

Manegment is great. This is a roach motel so proceed with caution. Even with air tight containers, regular dusting, cleaning and pest control visits... the roaches come in all shapes and sizes (definitely a property infestation).

Been living here for some months, its not a bad place but we have had some issues with the complex. Our roof had a leak first month, so our ceiling messed up they took more than two weeks to fix it and when they did fix it our roof still had a hole in it and when it rained again our ceiling got even worse (our tv got damaged because of that). #2 when the ice storm happened we left the complex cause we lost power and water, whenever we would reach out to them asking if anything was back yet they couldnt even get back to us, we had to find out through other neighbors if stuff was back on to be able to head back home. #3 recently they broke in to our vehicles over night and took some of our belongings, office ppl said they would try and get to the bottom of it. Only to tell us that nothing was on camera and that they couldnt do anything for us, so much for a security patrolling the premises every night like they said before we moved in. Very upsetting because the apartment we live in isnt even bad its actually a nice spot, but when it comes to taking care of their customers I can honestly say they dont do too good of a job at that. So if you dont mind waiting a couple weeks or more for minor issues to be fixed in your apartment and or having your vehicle broken into and them not being able to even do a damn thing about it, this is the spot for you!! We cannot wait for the BS theyll give us when it comes that time to move out

Just moved in! Love it! Benjamin was great with Customer Service...he helped me get everything together so that I moved in within 24 hours of applying. He said the washer and dryer would be there next week; they were delivered on Monday morning!!! Wow! How you spell Customer SERVICE---B E N J A M I N!!

I love living at the Huxley! The complex is very well maintained & the employees at the leasing office are so kind & helpful. Alexandria made the move-in process so easy (even when I had a million questions haha, she answered all of them thoroughly & timely). When I moved in, the unit was very clean & everything was the same as the unit I had toured. There’s plenty of parking & overall it’s everything I would want in an apartment. I did a lot of searching & I’m very glad I ended up here!

I been living at the Huxley @ medical center for 2 years now and my experience has been great!!! I would highly recommend it, the leasing office staff provide excellent service and are very helpful and will work with you the only minor problem is parking is bad lol but other then that the apartment complex, staff, and location are all great.

The Huxley is cool and laid back place to reside. All management work as a team to resolve issues but for the most part there aren’t any issues . I would recommend the stay for sure it’s not too far from downtown and right by NRG stadium.

I have been living at the Huxley for almost a year and I love it. The office staff is the best. Especially Joshua Taylor, hes the greatest. Its a cool place to live and close to every and anything you could think of to eat. The only downside is the hangout spot under the tree. It makes you feel kind of skeptical when walking down the sidewalk. But all in all, The Huxley is alright with me.

I had some issues with the previous manager but the new manager they brought in Ms. Carla has been simply wonderful. She’s very respectful and knowledgeable. We had a few minor issues, but Alexandria Spruill, the manager, came through and definitely turned things around. She called me first thing Monday and offered many solutions to the issues. She’s hilarious, friendly, and straight to the point. If you’re looking to do business here talk to management !!

The staff never answers the phone they charge you for literally everything. I have a 5 month old baby and I’ve received fines for noise complaints on days I wasn’t even home they aren’t helpful not even during a global pandemic the property manager is incompetent and rude the apartments are overpriced the the area and amount of space the water is shut off almost 3 times a month the apartments are directly next to a car dealership so it is loud during inconvenient times so I wouldn’t move here if noise is an issue the residents are very friendly and kind but the management staff make it hard for you to want to continue to stay here

About me as a resident: I keep my head down, stay out the way, love on my neighbors, pay on time, and take pride of my living quarters. For things that matter, this place is a 3 1/2 star, but I rated up b/c my over-all experience caused for a rate up instead of down. *Really wanted to rate a 1, but read to see why.Location - off the interstate, in the medical center, convenient commute to social and work life. Learn the schedule (teaxans game, monster jam, beyonce/taylor swift concerts, gun shows, etc) and traffic will never be a problem.Neighborhood - its edgy (LOL), but inside the gates, its quiet and safe. I LOVE my neighbors!!My apartment - looks nice on the inside, been here 7 going on 8 years. I dont have a remolded/updated unit, but what I have is nice and clean. Most people are surprised when they visit my home :-)Pest control - no issues. I had ONE issue, one time and that was due to nasty upstairs neighbors. management handled the matter swiftlyFlooding - it floods at the gate going out/in and all around, but thankfully (so far), it has yet to flood inside the gate. the water gets a little high by the drains, but just park further away and your vehicle will be good. Dont try to drive in/out of the gate if you see the water is high. DONT DO IT! I learned the hard way! LOLOffice management - they are no nonsense, but they handle their business accordingly. they have a timely response and communicate with you regarding issues/complaints. I appreciate mutual respect and you get that with them.*************Corporate office /owner - Ive only had 1 direct interaction with corporate and that went very good. However, corporate is the sole reason why I rated the huxley 3 1/2 (and really wanted to rate it a 1).I understand money/profit is the motive for going into business. This company nickle and dime its residents and make decisions that are NOT resident focused/centered costing agitation and money.2 Examples:Changing the parking policy which has worked for at least 7 years; here comes corporate enforcing a flawed, inconvenient, and privacy invasive parking system for residents. Changing parking here is always a disaster and usually results in reverting back to the previous system.*****Charging or requesting the residents replace things typically covered by the apartment/done by maintenance.......not to mention the new move-out list/expectations (write down ANY and EVERY thing thats not right/done/perfect/clean, no matter how minute. seriously). I would never move out and leave the apartment nasty, but they ask for things to be cleaned/replaced that I had to google (thought I was moving recently - thats how I know)! Advice for new renters - ask for a copy of the move out list/expectations so you can be sure to check THOSE items in the beginning during the move-in walk-through.****Corporate sends out resident surveys, but what do yall do with that information?****Yes, I harped on corporate/owner b/c sometimes the team can be good, but they have to do their job and enforce/implement rules from corporate/the ownerMaintenance - they are GOOD. they come quickly, fix issues, and you can trust them in your home! they leave things just as they found it too/clean up after themselves.

The new staff is amazing!The office & maintenance staff are always friendly and helpful. The office staff/ new owners are updating the look of the apartments and grounds. They are helping clients adjust to the new changes. They have started building community with gatherings. Some events were Breakfast at the gate, Meet the Staff/Community, and they have more in the works. They even helped me with some Tech tips, to improve my experience with the portal.Satisfied Client

My name is Virginia I moved here back in June of this year...with the exception of Ms Linda her maintenance staff and one of her leasing consultants I would have left. Ms Linda is of the utmost professional and she takes her time with you and explain everything...shes very warm and welcoming unlike that assistant manager who can careless and is also very deceiving...she totally misconstrue everything and I mean everything that you say to her...and if you dont believe me as a management company You guys should really listen to the tape recordings...I was very discouraged after speaking with her earlier and I could not go to my second job but Ms Linda after I spoke to her in person made me feel like I was important and she values me as a resident...PLEASE HELP US...AS A MANAGER YOUR TEAM IS A REFLECTION OF YOU AND IM SORRY TO SAY HER ASSISTANT IS THE MISSING LINK

I really love it here the staff is awesome, I dont know what I would do without Benjamin, the maintenance request are answered quickly, and the landscaping is kept very well.

I have been living here at this apartment community since 2012! I have seen a lot of office staff come and go. I can honestly say that I am so pleased with the office staff that is now here at The Huxley! Whenever I have a question or concern, the staff will show concern and address it! The maintenance request is done in a very good timely matter. The phone in the office usually just ring and ring without being answered. But now I can honestly say again that Ms. Carla and the staff is on point.I was disappointed when the switch happened, thinking that here we go again with these changes. To my surprise, it has been a good switch, and I am very very happy with the new staff being here. I will be renewing my lease. Thanks so much!

Worst living experience I ever had. The fact that nearby pizza store doesnt delivery consider it unsafe should sum it up.Trash everywhere, and worst management to deal with.

I made an appointment to tour this place two days before I came here. Today, when I showed up at my appointment time, I walked up to the door and heard two women laughing. I tried opening the door...it was locked. I knocked and knocked; there is no doubt they could hear me. No one answered. I finally called the apartment complex and the women that answered was obviously not at the complex; probably just working the phones at a remote location. She said that they could have an emergency with a resident or maintenance and that is why they werent answering the door. But, I had an appointment so they knew I was coming at noon. I am just wondering why I made an appointment if this would happen. I have read lots of other reviews that say the same thing. The staff of this place is known for being rude and closing the office at their leisure. I was always cautious of apartment reviews from people who do not live at the apartment complex. This incident wasnt the only reason I gave 1 star. There was junk all over peoples balconies (an eyesore). The apartments are about 10 feet apart. The walls need to be power washed; they are obviously outdated. I saw 3 roaches just outside the leasing center. Yes, I dont live there and I gave one star. But if my experience is any indicator of how this apartment is ran/ kept up with, well good luck charlie.

While living here the apartment ownership changed. The new ownership is doing complete make overs of all apartments so I was unable to renew my lease in my existing apartment. Luckily I was given plenty of notice (2 months) and was able to work with the staff to make sure I could obtain a new residence prior to the end of my lease. The new apartments are freshly painted with new floors and granite counters. They’ve also redone the pools and landscaping. The team even pushed construction so the apartment on the floor I wanted was available an entire week early. Contacting them was never an issue and they were easy to work with. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come from the new ownership!

Management very nice. There very cooperatives and patience very and always find a solution!

This place is horrible. Roach infested. Plumbing always go out. Mildew gets painted over never removed. They paint the bathtubs. Linoleum flooring doesnt stick. Emergency number doesnt work. Kitchen has holes that bugs crawl through. No windows screens .Also, to top it off, It still has water damage from Hurricane Harvey. Avoid this place at all costs.

Where can I begin I have been living @ the Edge of City Center for going on 8 years . And I never thought the day would come where I would be saying I’m ready to move. The fact that I lived the area and the Apartments because me and my family was treated equally and with respect.When i would call the office now for something to get fixed I’m promised that someone would cone out to never showing up at all to acting like they never received a call. Every sense Nicole Earl has left the office these apartments are going doing the drain. At lease Nicole would make sure all her tenants were taking good care of and when I would call for something to get fixed I would remember her showing up with maintenance helping them in trying to fix the issue. She has been there so long that, that’s all majority of the long time tenants are use to . She was always respectful and courteous vs now you go in the office the new lady Ms Pat and her Assistant Ms Evonne is rude and disrespectful. Ms Evonne banged at my door with the maintenance guy and after banging twice and me rambling trying to find clothes to throw on cause I was in the shower at the moment had told maintenance to unlock my front door and was coming inside my apartment. After I finally caught her from entering and asked her what’s the problem? In a very loudly voice she screamed housing hasn’t paid your rent and are you still living in the unit. After going to the office and talking to the apartment manager Ms Pat and her telling me oh I’m sorry Housing did pay your rent. I told her how Ms Evonne treated me and she shrugged her shoulders and gave me a nonchalant attitude like o well . I have had it and the humiliation and embarrassments isn’t worth living here. They really need to bring Nicole back at lease she knows what she’s doing. I’ve never in my 7 years of living here went through nothing like this with her in the office.

I really love the staff Ms.Olivia is my favorite she help me from the time I walked in an did not break a promise. Very friendly nice an well mannered staff I love them. Idk about the old staff but this updated staff is wonderful❤️

I recently acquired a one year lease to my apartment, and am into my approximately six month . And I will say I will not be renewing my lease. I have experienced constant loud music from my upstairs neighbors, which I have made security, management, and the local police known of numerous times. And there has been no resolution. And I presume this activity is due to the local population or culture which tends to this activity. I l am sorry to say.

At the beginning we weren’t sure about the apartment because of issues out of their control. Nicole who runs the lessening office is just amazing. She was with us every step of the way and the few issues we did have she fixed them as soon as we reported them. Our neighbors are nice and respectful.

Dont move here. Ive been here for 2 months. My apartment has flooded 3 times. I have had to hound them about fixing the issues in my apartment. Even spoke with the manager. I continuously get the run around and my issues have yet to be resolved. I regret ever moving here. This place has been nothing but stress from the start.

Do yourself a huge favor and look somewhere else for an apartment. I’ve been unhappy since day one in this place and it hasn’t changed. Place says it’s been remodeled and it hasn’t. Says it has new management it doesn’t. Do yourself a favor and don’t move in here. I don’t recommend to anyone.

The ONLY good thing about this property is NICOLE!! the property is piss poor without her and residents notice she never got the acknowledgment she deserved for dealing with all the things that go wrong here! She kept things in tact even when things went wrong she made sure she found ways to make things right! Loves the tenants like their her own family! Property should have been called Nicole at city centre other than that this property without her is not even worth to look at...i wouldn’t lease an apartment with anyone else that’s how bad it is

I will not be moving to this complex based on the reviews alone. I dont know what you all need to do but, the reviews are a complete turn off. I hope you all have fixed your problems.

Not a good place at all. All these good 5star reviews are probably fake, from current workers They do not care for your accommodations specially the manager carla. She dismisses you when you come with an issue they made. Very rude and needs to learn basic customer skills. Chik fil a treats you better than this office smh. If this place wants to be even close to fair she needs to go or fix her ugly attitude. Gave 2 starts because if i give 1 it wont post it 0 out of 10

Toured several times. New management is night and day different. Property is noticeably improving with upgrades. New interiors look particularly great!

The management of this apartment complex has been one of the worst complex of all the years renting. The turn over in the office is way too big and you are dealing with someone new every couple of months. Not only have I had 3 water leaks since living here, one that damaged my laptop completely, my printer, my desk, they tried to screw me over with my lease renewal. Sending it almost less than a month before my contract is ending when we are suppose to be given at least 60 days to notify them of a move out. Then when they do, they give me a set amount rate, start the process of renewing the contract, then after 3 weeks, mind you my contract had already been up, then they come back to me and said that the rate was wrong even though they already started the process of renewing, taking all my check stubs etc for going on 3 weeks . I went to the rental company to speak to someone because of all the run around back and forth. Then when trying to speak to a higher supervisor at the management company they refer me back to the property manager. I have had people from the office tell me one thing and since it was not written they cant take my word for it. So when I told them that if that is the case anytime I am going to the office I feel that I will have to record the conversations that occur because they will tell you one thing then turn around and say another. The way the rental company handles this complex is ridiculous and all they do to compensate your time, or concern is just apologize. This not even half of the things I have encountered at this complex. There is a big flea infestation in the grassy areas, I have said this to them several times through out the course of my stay and nothing has been done. This rental company is the worst, and if have to have every recorded or they will try to screw you . Not only that they frequently have to shut off the water because something is always breaking. Last week alone the water was off like 3 days for many hours. Like I said this is not the half of the stuff I have had to deal with this complex. I would love see what the Texas Apartment Association thinks.

Toured over the weekend, staff was very helpful. Looked at one of the upgraded homes very nice. I will be leasing soon.
