Definitely a fantastic choice for those seeking a place in Downtown Houston. The staff has been very friendly in our experience. Andy is the superstar at the front desk and a true professional. Annette was exceptional throughout the process. The amenities are top notch: the gym has ample equipment and the pool area is good fun. Regular events for tenants add a nice touch. The only minor downside is that the walls can be a bit on the thin side but not to the point that it becomes a deal breaker.

I have had the worst experience at catalyst. The management is beyond unprofessional to be more specific the property manager Chris . I had a flood in my apartment 1st they told me the repairs will take a week it’s already been 2 weeks I came to the apartment to check what was going on because for some reason they turned my camera off . And what I saw was insane . All my furniture all my personal belongings were covered in dust and dirt all my shoes were on top of my bed and all my bed sheets were covered in dirt . Chris emailed me that before they start the job they will cover all my personal belongings and my furniture since the apartment was smelling like mold and I have bad allergies and sinus infection it was not an option for me to enter the apartment. Stay away from this place the service is horrible and Chris is very rude and unprofessional he made me cry because of the way he was speaking with me not to mention that I was supposed to get $1000 look and lease credit and I never got it .

I’ve had the BEST experience being a new resident here. Everything has been flawless from day 1. Annette has been super helpful, responsive and made my lease execution to move in date hassle free. Andy, Houston’s BEST concierge! He makes me feel like a VIP everyday! Opens my door, greets me within seconds and treats me like a family member. I wish I could have 7 stars, that’s how happy I am here and everything is impeccable!

I lived here for just over a year and a half - this is definitely the best apartment complex Ive lived in. The management company and employees were very accommodating to every request, something Ive never had at an apartment. Andy was by far and away the best part of an already great experience. Hes the Michael Jordan of the front desk team. It felt like hed be juggling about 5 problems or responsibilities at the same time, and hed get it all figured out with a smile on his face. Personally, he went above and beyond to help me get our couches moved out of the complex when a charity couldnt pick them up before our move out date. To Andy and the rest of the Catalyst staff, thank yall for a tremendous experience!

Eddie was extremely helpful through the entire leasing process, definitely recommend touring with him! The entire staff is friendly & kind! The property itself is beautiful & well maintained, it speaks for itself when you see it .

Technician was pleasant but said I should have received remotes for the ceiling fans which I had not. Since there were no remotes he required to work with the wall switch. Not the best solution since now there is only one speed.Plumbers agreed there should be more water pressure, but as of now it has not improved.

I recently moved to the U.S and was shopping around to get an apartment in Houston. Checked the building a couple of times with the help of Annette Knoth, one of the leasing managers at Catalyst. She is an awesome, caring, friendly, and professional manager knowing her stuff perfectly! Shes quite open sharing all pros and cons about the neighborhood and she is an absolute asset to the Catalyst community in my opinion. If you happen to consider Catalyst as one of your options to move-in, just ask for Annette. I visited this complex and absolutely loved my experience, in particularly the service. The Leasing Manager--Annette Knoth--was amazing. She was knowledgeable, patient, and empathetic to my needs and wants. She leads a staff that also reflects her interactions, which was refreshing. I visited this complex twice and they even remembered my name--weeks apart which says a lot about how they value residents. All in all, I have rented since I was 18 and the experience I had here is among the best!

I absolutely love it here! The service is unmatched compared to any high rise in the area (Ive been in all of them) and they are so understanding and show genuine compassion towards me since Ive been here. ANNETTE and EDDIE go above and beyond anytime I need help and I never feel like a stranger walking around this building!

I lived at the Catalyst for roughly three years. I lived at The Star for two years before that. So I spent a total of five years downtown.If you want to live downtown, Catalyst is one of the best options. There are new complexes being built so I cant comment on them but when I lived downtown I felt like Catalyst was the best one.It is just far enough from the center of the city and Main street that it does not feel super congested in the mornings. Yet, it is close enough that you can still walk to work on main street. In this area of downtown, I hardly experienced homeless people around the building which is something I experienced constantly while living right on Rusk & Main. I think the combination of Irmas Southwest Grill, Vic & Anthonys, Minute Maid Park, The Cambria Hotel, and all the apartments nearby helped to keep the homeless away. Walk a few streets down at night and you will run into plenty but at least there were none near the building.If you get a unit facing main st, the views of the skyline are some of the best in the city. My guests always liked hanging out on the 26th floor lounge because of the great city views. My unit was on the opposite side facing Minute Maid Park and the pool. I liked being able to see what the crowd looked like before heading to the pool on weekends, a nice bonus was being able to see the Astros Friday night firework shows from my balcony.The pool area is very nice and several of my female friends commented that they loved spending the weekend at my place because the pool felt like lounging at a resort. The outdoor garden surrounding the pool helps to give it a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Living and working in the concrete jungle downtown, it was convenient to have an outdoor space like this with lots of greenery to help keep my sanity. My escapes were the golf course and the pool deck at the catalyst.The gym is spacious and open with floor to ceiling glass windows that overlook the outdoor garden/ pool area. One of my friends commented while visiting that if she was choosing a place to live based on just the gym she would choose the catalyst. I thought the same when I moved in, sadly the motivation to workout still must come from within and my motivation was lacking. If you are motivated, you have a very solid gym to use.The 24/7 concierge and nearly 24/7 valet are a luxury to have for packages, food deliveries, guests, and security. Nobody can get up to see you without first stopping at concierge which always made me feel secure.Sound proofing on units was very good as I never heard my neighbors. They could have been incredibly quiet but in 3 years, I feel like I would have heard something. The sound proofing on the front door and back patio doors are much weaker so you can hear if people are talking in the hall in front of your unit pretty clearly and if anyone is out talking out on their balcony near yours. This was never an issue for me.The People - residents were generally interesting. Mostly young professionals that were a mix of engineers, lawyers, private equity, and healthcare professionals. I always had positive interactions with my neighbors.The Catalyst Employees - Andy at the front desk was top notch, he made an effort to memorize all of the residents names, their guests names, their cars, etc. I suspect he will be moved up to leasing soon. I just hope he trains the next concierge and instills the same sense of pride and ownership in them. Anette in leasing was very responsive and always did whatever she could to answer questions and be helpful in lease renewals, property questions, move out, etc. I usually disliked having to walk by the leasing office to get to the pool on weekends, but seeing Anette made it fun. She was very friendly and would say hi to my guests and I.Ray who I believe is the head maintenance person was always the one who came to fix things like a clogged sink, slow draining shower, replacing light bulbs, etc. he was always prompt and explained things clearly.Online portal was well designed and easy to use.

I have only been here a short time but I have enjoyed everyday. Anything reported is addressed and resolved very quickly. Andy (head Consierge) really cares about the residents and treats us all like family. No matter the time day or night Andy always has a huge smile and takes the time to say hi. He is quick to jump up and open doors for you even when it’s not necessary. Andy alone makes me want to continue to live here because it feels like having a friend keep an eye on your house for you when you are out of town. I highly recommend this place. The pool, gym, valet, downtown views, on site dry cleaning, walking distance to Minute Maid park, and great nearby restaurants make it even more of a win!

Ive lived here for almost a year now, and absolutely love it. Just like any apartment complex, theres occasional issues that come up that are uncontrollable, but how fast this property takes care of them is AMAZING. We have the BEST concierge team that knows all the residents by name.Our leasing team is incredible, and not to mention our maintenance team! They complete orders SO FAST. 1000/10. Highly recommend to anyone considering living here!!

Lived here for a year now - The Catalyst employees, especially Andy, are super friendly and helpful when anything out of the ordinary arises. Maintenance is quick and professional as well. The management company who owns the property, Marquette, is very responsive and accommodating - they did a great job with everything pandemic related as well. The amenities are top notch as well. Worse experience applying at this apartment complex, was looking at getting the Penthouse 3 bedroom and a leasing agent by the name of Eddie gave me a lot of misleading information through out the process. Was so hard getting a hold of this guy, I’m self employed so I offered my 1099 and he said they don’t accept 1099, yet on the agreement when I was applying it stated they accepted 1099. He then told me to speak with Chris which is his manager and they went ahead and told me to submit my bank statements as well, I provided all the documents and they denied me at first because of supposedly because making $35,000 a month wasn’t enough, then they said my credit had some things they didn’t like, then they said because of my 1099, then at the end they changed the reason for denial and told me they denied me since the beginning because it appeared I was trying to do fraud. Chris the manager told me today that since the beginning I was denied because it appeared I tried to do fraud by submitting a blank W-2 which I never did because I don’t even have w-2 forms, then he said oh no a 1099 form, that he couldn’t verify it, yet he has never seen a 1099 so he didn’t even know what he was looking at. As a courtesy I submitted my bank statement reflecting over $35K a month for income and he said that they over saw that because of the 1099 being blank and appearing as fraud! I am now trying to get my money back and they have gave me about 5 different reasons this past week of why I wasn’t going to get my money back. Chris is accusing me of being a lier and trying to commit fraud yet he was the same guy that told me to reapply under my other business name. I would never want to do business with this community again nor refer anybody here.

Super quick and easy maintenance request fixed my sink 30 min after request

Terrible and cheap Houston management. Building is in a good location with awesome concierge but not worth the hassle of dealing with rude management for the price you are paying for a luxury apartment building in Houston. The leasing office is nice when you start your lease but Catalyst management was a pain every time after that and makes it not worth it as there are other buildings in Houston where you pay either the same/less and they have better management.

I was traumatized by my previous building management so I did a lot of research before moving into the Catalyst. There were some reviews about this building about bad management or cars being stolen (which really concerned me). Let me tell you IF there is ever an issue it will get resolved within minutes. Love all the events the front office hosts of the residents. Love the layout of my apartment and all it’s amenities. Only negative is that their coffee bar is still closed due to the pandemic🥺The building really does have everything you are looking for. Pay the extra couple $100s to live in a building you will love.Glad I signed a long lease and look forward to baseball season returning next year!

I’m writing this review to inform current and future Catalyst residents. The Catalyst building itself is a great building to live in with upscale amenities; however, the management has made this place extremely difficult and unsafe to live in.Over the past 4 months, there have been a number of vehicles stolen (including mine) out of the Catalyst garage. After my car was stolen, the Catalyst management team did not contact me the same day nor the day after to offer their assistance. Some of the Management team didn’t even know that my vehicle was stolen and in general showed a complete disregard for the situation as a whole. This was especially appalling given that this instance of car theft was one of many over the last few months.Also, after further investigation I realized that the property management failed to notify residents over several of the car thefts which have occurred on the premises over the last few months. You would think at a luxury apartment, that management would take every precaution to ensure the safety of its residents and their property. On the contrary, Marquette management and the Catalyst management to this day have put forth zero attention to this recurring issue and doesn’t seem likely to change anytime soon.Lastly, if the apartment management are doing such a poor job of maintaining the security necessary to avoid car thefts, it begs the question: what other potential criminal activity are residents at the Catalyst also exposed to?In short, this place is not worth the massive amount money you pay given the lack of security and lack of competence management has.

If you’re looking for the best luxury high-rise in Houston, The Catalyst is where you need to be. I’ve been living here for a couple months now and love it. No problems or issues, don’t listen to other reviews. Management and leasing staff are incredible. The concierges and valet people are amazing. The gym, best apartment gym in Houston, hands down! The pool, best pool with views in Houston, hands down! The building is safe and secure at all times and in walking distance to everything you need, baseball (whenever that will be), restaurants, bars, markets, east downtown. It is a gorgeous building and has very modern feel to it. The building staff always welcoming and make me feel like I’m home. Catalyst has a charming and helpful concierge team, lovely ladies at the leasing office that care about the residence, great maintenance team that always responsive whenever I need them. The pool has a resort feel, the gym and other amenities are fantastic. I love this place.

The overall rating is quite low at 3.8, but I only have positive things to say about this place. I believe I can explain the contrast. I think that when people pay that much for housing, their expectations are exaggerated and they forget that they are still working with people who feel emotions and will only cooperate if youre being respectful.I was taken care of by Dovie, one of the leasing specialists. Shes a gem and accommodated all the questions I had. Moreover, I had a hard time deciding which unit to get (city view or view on the minutemaid stadium), and she held both apartments for me until three days from move-in. I had a few complaints about stains in the unit as well, but she had these removed immediately. I moved into a gorgeous unit with a great view and I love this place!The amenities are dope and the deck pool incredible. The residents are extra friendly and Ive been invited to parties already (moved in very recently).Great vibes, great complex, awesome managementJust remember, humans, not robots run this place. The Catalyst has been by far the best luxury high rise that Ive lived in since relocating to Houston. The entire staff is always extremely welcoming and helpful. They even went above and beyond to add a punching bag to the gym when I asked for the addition. I highly reccomend considering The Catalyst if youre looking to move downtown Houston.

Moved in the day they opened and lived there for almost two and a half years. I have nothing negative to say. They were always fair with me and I feel they have a really good balance in the Houston market between price and luxury.

I cant click the star until i get the star treatment . I am a African American counselor who submitted an application online and was told i declined so i knew i had been working to get my credit right for years and its there . I have the income to afford a 13 month + lease so what happen. The guy i was connected to at the rent screening emailed me the app and we walked through and I met property requirements all the way through.the results was accepted. I paid $350. The guy at rent screening said I do not know why they said declined. so it must be the manager decision to decline, which was funny because the leasing agent that gave me rent screening number about the whole declined stated and i repeat its not on us here at the leasing office it was rent screening decision. So my question What is the issue?????? Am I not what is expected for your community. In these time a straight up honest answer will do. Still waiting on a call back I wont name the agent I am sure she knows exactly who she is. And the funny thing is a very high profile lawyer actually referred me to them and said he cant imagine it would have been my experience.

Facilities are amazing ! Staff even better! Dovie, Amber and Annette have definately made my stay at this luxurious facility truly feel like home. Always greeting me with a big smile as if it’s my first day walking through the building. The concierge staff is very attentive.The gym is outstanding and machines are well maintained. Pool area is always kept clean and spacious enough to accommodate large numbers of residents.The maintenance staff is always quick to address issues, never have to wait more than a day or two. Sometimes items are addressed within the same day! Amazing customer service.The units are luxurious, modern and with great city views. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. What I enjoy and appreciate most about Catalyst is that they know who they are and know what they do well. The staff are all kind, good-hearted people who are easily approachable and a key part to what makes Catalyst so great! I feel like their approach from the beginning was to keep things simple, make the design inspiring, and invest in the amenities that residents will actually use! From the enormous terrace to the expansive fitness area, to the sleek lounge, to that coffee flown in directly fro Nicaragua, it’s all much to adore in a place to call home. Speaking of home, the unit, like everything else, are high quality materials mixed with dependable appliances and a well thought out design. So glad to live downtown at a place like Catalyst!

I have been living here for almost a year now and have really enjoyed my experience so far. I moved from Chicago, and to be honest was worried about living in an unfamiliar city, especially downtown. However, in the short amount of time that I have lived in the building, it has become like home. I have become really good friends with a lot of my neighbors through the events that the property host, the office (from concierge to leasing staff) have always been super friendly and helpful, and the apartments are really modern and nice on the inside. If you are looking for a great place to live that promotes a sense of community, has amazing amenities, and is in my opinion, the best part of downtown, then I would recommend living here!

This place is pretty great. I’ve visited multiple times recently and was quite impressed. Staff is always very friendly. The pool area is amazing, view of Minute Maid Park and lots of space. Only been in a couple apartments in the building but all were very nice, lots of natural lighting.Great place to consider if you want that downtown lifestyle.

Amber is the perfect example of what separates a leasing agent to a leasing professional. She is so welcoming and professorial.

The front desk that answers the phone just come off rude and snobby like they own that place. The residents and prospective renters are rich and what makes the building income. The front desk is an expense and turning people away with attitude. There are so many options downtown, I would never choose to be exposed to front desk employees with attitude when paying so much.

They were in my apartment doing maintenance and one of the contractors/employees used my cooking pan to dump trash and ended up leavening a construction adhesive in the pan, which rendered it unsafe for further use. Instead of replacing the $40 pan like a normal company, told me to file an insurance claim on my renters policy.

Catalyst is a very beautiful new development downtown. Amber greeted me with such professionalism yet down to earth. There were no questions that couldnt be answered by her. The property is truly a gem. Unfortunately i will not reside here due to my current apartments and providing a deal i could not resist. The amenities at Catalyst is a site to see. Thank you again Amber for taking the time to see me twice in one day and not rushing me through. Catalyst properties should consider themselves lucky to have such representation by you!

Excellent location, friendly staff and great views from the apartments!

I moved in early February and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. This is one of the premier luxury developments downtown. The entire staff is extremely friendly from the concierge and maintenance all the way up to the management staff. The units are perfectly sized and very affordable depending on what your needs are. Being a brand new development, they have a variety of floor plans to choose from. The amenities are hands down some of the best around. You will not find a nicer pool and courtyard in all of downtown Houston, possibly the entire city. Not to mention they have an incredible gym if you enjoy working out. The location couldnt be better as you can walk out your door and be places like: Minute Maid, Discover Green, Buffalo Bayou, Toyota Center and all the bars/restaurants downtown has to offer. I would strongly recommend the Catalyst!

Shortly about the Catalyst management: Striking unprofessionalism coupled with arrogance and further multiplied by intellectual rigidity.I lived in many different places across the country and I can surely say that Catalyst has the worst management ever. I lived in Catalyst since this building was opened in 2017, I really enjoyed my time in the heart of downtown with a fantastic view from my window. Super friendly and supportive staff and concierge service made my life easier and enjoyable. Excellent gym and pool. The situation was dramatically changed when the team of professional managers was replaced by current management demonstrating an explosive combination of the above-mentioned characteristics. The payment system was screwed up multiple times and the management did not accept its own fall and tried to impose late payment fees. Once MoneyOrder was suggested as only payment option by management while the autopayment system was down - I gave them a favor and spent my personal time to get that, then I was informed that there is an error in their calculations and I have to bring additional $6- No cash or personal check could be accepted– only a MoneyOrder. So I would have to go to a grocery shop again to get a money order for $6 (six!) dollars. Left my personal check on the table and left that office– the check was cashed later without any troubles. Should I explain how I was pissed? Why should I pay more than $2500 monthly and experience a plenty of negative emotions for $6? After I moved out I received a request to pay $200 cleaning fee by the 10th day of that month but non-payment was reported to a collection agency on the 5th day. Just ridiculous.Plus five stars for the excellent staff/concierge, amenities and location, minus three stars for the management.In my opinion, those ladies in Catalyst management are more suitable to manage a small student dorm in the middle of nowhere rather than serve a respectable community in the heart of Houston.

I moved in about three months ago and I have been pretty amazed by how things have been so perfect. Ive lived at other luxury properties but the staff and amenities here have been nothing but exceptional. Ive had zero issues with maintenance and noise, even when the baseball games are going on. The location is perfect for restaurants, night life and the light rail in a few blocks away, which is important since I work in the medical center.

I had a client that was interested in hosting a fashion show at the catalyst and the leasing agent was very polite and showed excitement in what we were trying to create. We will be stopping by for a tour because of her friendly and professional personality

This is an incredible property with the best amenities downtown has to offer. Amber is efficient, professional and amazing to work with. She takes great care of clients and is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone relocating to Houston to tour this property.

Complex itself has gorgeous views, and looks nice bc its new, but overall experience here was not great. Complex rushed people in before it was ready to be moved into, poorly built, with edges coming up out of corners, and lots of other things needing to be fixed. They are extremely money hungry, and will charge you for all sorts of little things that add up quickly every month. Was happy to be out of that place when lease ended, and they still ended up charging us for ridiculous things in the very end, not refunding us our original down payment (which they said they would), and charging us an extra amount for a “late” last payment which they said had already been added to final payment. Whenever you talk to people in complex, they are understandably talking about the things they dislike about the complex, most of which are the absurd charges that they fine you that build up every month.

I recently toured the property(like 3 weeks ago), and I must say this place is awesome. I love the pool. I will defiantly lease here when my lease ends.

Incredibly friendly and courteous front office staff. They make you feel important and they address your concerns immediately. The maintenance staff is very professional and kind.

The leasing agents are so vague and weird. Everytime you call they give a different price. There is no manager I was told by Dovia??? She wouldnt even give the proper pricing when someone wants to buy. Very strange! Beware.

Terrible experience. My husband and I were very interested in the property, we had done research online and had taken time off of work so that we could both look at this property together. When we arrived the men at the front desk were very nice and helpful, my husband and I were told to wait for someone to give us a tour, after about 15 minutes a woman named Brandy comes to meet my husband and I she acted very uninterested in renting us an apartment. We were never shown any of the amenities and when we asked to see other properties that we were interested in, that we saw online she avoided the question, and showed us the units on her tablet instead. We left this property feeling as if we were not a priority to this company. My husband and I wasted our time and ended up renting a beautiful apartment directly next door where the staff was warm and welcoming .

Unfortunately, got an e-mail this morning that someone is using the electricity in MY name, although my old unit is still vacant? I moved out a month ago. Of course, Im being charged for that...thanks guys. :/

The building is smoke free yet somehow there are still certain hallways that reek of cigarette smoke. Moreover, the staff has been notified on multiple occasions and done nothing. Management is unresponsive and rude.

My experience at this complex has been very negative so far and I would not recommend for anyone to live here. To add insult to injury, I received a 300$ fine today with NO warning for placing 4 boxes in the trash chute. I received no warning and had no idea this was a rule to begin with. Any apartment complex that cares at all about their residents would have given a warning before giving four separate 75$ fines at one time. Obviously these boxes were placed in the trash chute over a series of several days. Instead of a warning or one fine, they waited until I have accrued multiple fines before notifying me about them.

A great location with unparalleled amenities, the staff (Amber, Dovie, Eddie, and Annette) always go the extra mile to make the living experience superb!!!

I have been living at Catalyst for a year now and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience living here. This place has amazing views and the location is very conveniently close to great restaurants, walking distance from bars and right next to the Minute Maid park. You can actually see the ball park from your apartment and watch the fireworks after the games!Even though it is a brand new high rise, the staff know exactly what they’re doing and have always been very helpful to assist. Perks of being here is 24 hr concierge and free valet parking for guests (which is rare in DT). I got to go to several fun events hosted by the high rise management which was a great time to meet and mingle with other residents. Thank you Catalyst for making living here so easy! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in Downtown.

Could not have been happier with my experience at Catalyst thus far. Everything has been perfect--from the management, to the staff, to the amenities, to the units themselves!

This is a wonderful property with the most beautiful pool and views .Natalie is efficient, profesional and very patient with her clients, always ready for answer all my questions and help me to find the best option for me.

Catalyst, I want my money back - is the first thing that comes to mind after moving out and living at a different building for a month.Ive lived at the Catalyst for 13 months, and experienced a multitude of problems that remained unsolved for 6+ months, chief among which were:- Loss of hot water (once/twice per week on average)- A persistent odor of garbage from the waste disposal, that would infest the common areas (e.g. gym) and. sometimes, my apartmentThe building also rents out apartments on AirBnB, which brings in a crowd of business travelers during the week, and a crowd of (sometimes strange) weekend guests that are there to party.On the plus side the staff were all friendly.

This place seems shady. There are dozens of police cars and officers that show up for some reason every few days. That had been going on for a year. Unsavory characters, incompetent classless management unable to cater to a high end lifestyle.

The new management at the Catalyst has made it almost unlivable and I would no longer recommend this complex to anyone. The management will try and charge you for everything and you are caught fighting with them on the charges while they note that any unpaid amount is automatically sent to collections (so you either pay while disputing or they will attempt to hurt your credit). They have also sent erroneous eviction notices. Since the new management was brought it, there have also been increased security concerns while someone was attacked in the building in a manner that was preventable and the response was completely inadequate. Further, management will no longer maintain the building to the standards that match the amount paid each month (for example, the trash compactor has been broken for months and management refuses to fix it, which causes trash to back up onto the floors every weekend causing a terrible smell. I like the leasing staff and concierge staff, but would not recommend this apartment building.

The Catalyst is a beautiful apartment complex with the best staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. The concierge and leasing agents really make living there personal, everyone remembers your name. The location is amazing and you get to enjoy the fireworks after the Astros game with a great view of Minute Maid Park. The resident events are a nice perk, as well as the gorgeous pool on the 9th floor. Can’t recommend moving here enough!

While the Catalyst has great views and a few exceptional workers such as Eddie (who really was the one who made the difference in my stay, he was beyond an Angel and I wish him the absolute best), & Dovie, my overall experience was poor. I’ve been involved in construction myself in my life and I can solidly say they rushed building this high rise, ends were coming undone everywhere, they reconstructed all the pipes during my stay, had many all day outages, etc. There was terrible communication between management and tenants. Especially when it came to financial management and organization. I believe it was either August/September when I had paid full rent before the due date online, I received an email confirming they had received my payment. I wasn’t notified until the END OF THE MONTH when the next months rent was coming up that they had not “received” my payment, so along with charging me my months rent (which I obviously had no problem paying) they tagged late fees with it, though the problem was that they didn’t notify me that the payment was not actually taken. It got to the point where I had to get my banks financial-LEGAL team involved and was told verbally by some of the Catalyst management that I would be receiving a refund and/or it would simply be deducted from my next months rent. I was a fool for not getting it in writing. I went through all the trouble to get my legal team to send me proof that they hadn’t even attempted to take funds out while along they said it was because of “lack of funds”. They said my account Info was incorrect hence why they couldn’t take anything from the acc. Whilst my legal team had proven no such attempt. While I’ve had no issues whatsoever using the same account info for other payments.They ended up not following through with their word and added even more late fees to the pile of late fees. The inconsistentcies of their financial department kept piling up, and not just for myself. Every tenant that I’ve spoken with in the Catalyst has had similar or worse issues. Not to mention they had walked into my apartment on multiple occasions and had tried opening my apartment without permission or notice WHILE I WAS IN THERE. Also to mention; multiple times my Ex (who had become abusive on many levels) was not stopped in the front lobby and he snuck straight up to my room when I had given explicit notice for them to not let him up. My trust with the company and building and management quickly faded from the beginning and was never reconciled, which is such a shame. I HIGHLY recommend you take the time to talk to people who have lived there over 6 months and see how they feel. I hope you take serious CAUTION of thinking about how important a view is compared to how well you’ll be treated over-all.

The property is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views of the city and Minute Maid Park. The location and amenities are the absolute best you can find in the city of Houston, but what is even more impressive at Catalyst are the people.I am extremely high maintenance when it comes to choosing a new place to call home and the courtesy and patience of the staff at Catalyst never wavered. I made at least five visits to tour different floor plans, not too mention numerous phone calls and emails. The concierge staff, valet staff and leasing agents (Amber and Dovie) were always welcoming, attentive and displayed the highest level of professionalism. My emails were always answered promptly and phone calls returned in a timely fashion.I am anxiously awaiting my move in date and excited to have the opportunity to call Catalyst home. I challenge anyone looking for a new apartment home to find a more complete package than what Catalyst has to offer. No need to settle for less when you can have the Best!
