Got us in and out fast. Upgrade from car to Jeep Compass was nice. Very reasonable cost, ready to deal with. I had some questions for Budget customer service and they were incredibly patient and helpful. I have rented from budget many times in the past and it has always been good.

This location is nearly impossible to find. No signage from the street. The two employees today one was nice the other was just awful and wouldn’t give me his name. He wasn’t helpful and didn’t know the phone number for this location and made the excuse that if they are with a customer they won’t answer their phone. Not wearing a name badge but here is his photo. The other attendant, Artemo was nice and wearing his badge. The other guy who wouldn’t give his name, said they rent this location and that’s why there is no signs. Not helpful and zero customer service. His picture below he should be fired from his job he’s not really working and doesn’t want to be there.

At the rates they charge currently for rental cars in Hawaii, receiving the car completely uncleaned on the inside was a bit much. We found a boxer short behind the back seat and dental floss in the drivers door.

This place is hard to find, stay on level one and look for the the customer service desk with the big white light towards the back. No one answered the phone throughout anytime of the day. Once we found the place we were able to get our car quickly! The customer service isn’t great, they do not care to answer questions or take anytime to help/explain further details. Overall an okay place to rent from if there is a good deal!

Had a wonderful experience with this location. Its only hard to find. Its near customer service on the 1st floor, under the escalator, across from Saks Fifth Avenue and Dry Bar. Its easy to miss if you dont know what to look for. If theres a line except it to take a while, otherwise customer service was excellent.I also tried to update the hours on Google, but they claimed they couldnt verify it from this photo. So know theyre only open until 3:30pm.

The ripped me off charging an additional $832 after telling me there will be no additional charge for exchanging a car I didnt feel safe with. Customer service is refusing to help.Update: after lots of efford pleading my case I got the refund today.

I rented my vehicle from Killeen airport, I had the car for 3 weeks, the deal was reasonable and the turn in was easy.definitely a great experience for my first time renting with Budget

Went to rent our car at budget at International Market Place in Waikiki and the gentleman, I think his name is Bennett was very very rude to us. We have been coming to Waikiki for over 40 years and renting vehicles and have never ever been treated like this... We were dealing with a really nice lady and he butted into the conversation and ripped on us for no reason. With covid and very little tourists I would think he would be a little nicer and not upset a customer as I will never rent from Budget again.

Hard to find. Wont answer the phone. Charged $30 for returning keys 30 minutes late (car was already in their parking garage from the night before). Didnt notify me verbally about extra charges until I reviewed my receipt later. Returning car took almost 20 minutes. Customer service is below average. Wont come back

Service was awesome and fast! Received our rental in less than 15 minutes! Then we were on our way to explore the beautiful island of Oahu!!

Saw some bad reviews and was worried about my experience, but honestly it was great! The hardest part is finding it. Look for the “customer service” counter on the first floor left of the escalators near the back of the mall (see photo). I rent 15+ times a year with Budget and this experience was just fine. Don’t expect the FastBreak experience...and who cares...you are in Hawaii! wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

I’m so glad I didn’t read the reviews before renting my car from this location, because I may had looked somewhere else. I personally had a great experience, both at pick up and at drop off. I guess I was lucky the same person helped me, Bonnie. She answered all my questions, gave me some tips and gave me all the information I needed. I also saw how she helped another customer who told her how thankful he was, for her taking the time to explain something to him (not sure what). Don’t let frustrated tourists derail you from renting your car here, as they also had the best prices in all of the island.

Dont answer their phone. Picked up and humg up immediatly once. Not where maps shows where they are. Just a mountain of fail.

There are a lot of negative reviews here, but we had a really good experience. I’d say the service is much better than the typical car rental service at airports. The clerk gave us some travel advice when we got our car and even set the GPS with our first destination. When we returned the car, it was a smooth process. No complaints from us.

First of all, I found the experience of renting a car at the Budget in the International Marketplace to be smoother, more streamlined, and convenient compared with renting from the airport. The staff were all very friendly.With that said, there are some issues that I had with this rental location. It was obvious that the cars were not well maintained or taken care of. Shortly after taking the car out of the parking structure, one of the tires had burst resulting in large gashes in the tire. I was driving under normal circumstances and did not hit a pothole. I tried numerous times trying to contact the rental agency, but no one answered the phone. Luckily, I had AAA, who placed on my spare and I was able to return to International Marketplace. The process to exchange to another vehicle was fairly straightforward.Overall, the experience wasnt horrible. However, with the poorly maintained cars, having something go wrong and being responsible for it (not to mention it being dangerous) can certainly ruin ones vacation as well as tag on additional unexpected charges especially when someones on a budget.

Very good service, got the latest model of what we booked and was super happy. Just did find it difficult finding the location in the beginning cause didn’t state it was inside the mall. Glad we could use our visa debit as don’t carry credit card. cheers

There is no sign where to return the vehicle and we drove around and around; I rang them five times and never got a response. Eventually we pulled into the International Market Place carpark off Kuhia Ave and asked valet parking to help - turns out it is the fifth floor of the car park which still has no signs saying budget or Avis. I went down to level 1 of the shops found the counter explained where we had parked etc and that I had rung and the lady could not have cared less. Next time it’s back to Avis at Sheraton in Waikiki - the guy there is lovely!

Completely hopeless. Expect to wait at least 2 hours in line for a car. So if you book a car for 8am don’t expect to be behind the wheel until well after 10am. This is very standard everyday. Then they expect you to return the car at 5pm even though you booked it from 8 but didn’t get it until 10:15.One of the worst car rental experiences ever.

Amazing prices

We had a one-day rental from Budget at International Marketplace, Honolulu. Not an obvious location inside the Marketplace, but we were given excellent service by Bonnie and Tanya.

Great experience. I booked with Costco on line pick up and drop off at the International Market Place. Easy no hassle, the Budget counter locater 1st floor at the back entrance of the market. Take elevator to 5th floor parking garage for your car. Return at same place same process just reverse. $20 of gas got us around the island for 2 days in a compact car. No need to get a sport car, 5/0 is everywhere, and slow traffic around the island.

I rent a cart and they said gas gauge reading was full, but it was NOT! Only 3/4 full in the tank. Nobody picked up the phone and limited hours of phone customer service.Update: I showed them a picture of the tank reading which I started with. That helped a lot.

We booked with Costco travel a Budget rental car 2 days with return in the evening each day. Everything went well, the staff is friendly and the cars are in very good condition! The parking entrance is on Kuhio av. facing Walina St. Very satisfied with our experience!

Important thing you should know is that this location is shared with Avis so when you look for the counter, look for Avis on the store directory.We made a car reservation online and showed up 30 minutes before the reservation start time. It can get crowded so be sure to be early.The car was clean and in good condition. The tank was full as well so we didnt have to worry about anything.We returned the car a few minutes before it was due and left the tank full as directed. We had no issues afterwards whatsoever.

ATTENTION! Absolutely Horrible! Dont go here. Don’t rent a car here! They tried to charge me extra with hidden fees and when I simply asked about it they gave me attitude. I finally got to one lady who helped, but when I dropped of the rental they delayed on taking care if me and charged me for an extra hr because they said I was late. I was mistreated by the front desk and will discourage anyone from renting here! It was not just me, they treated everyone around me like that. Worse car experience ever!

They denied we had payed insurance so we had to end up paying twice. Their assistance we this issue was clear. The where nearly laughing in our faces. I do not recommend using them.

I would give less than a one star if I could!Really Horrible woman at the counter - my father blessed us and paid for an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii - booked us a car and everything, we had confirmation tickets etc a but she refused to honor it - we had to then book another car and she would not give us the same deal my dad paid for - no percentage off or anything - a total b***** really upsetting - she also was the slowest typer - and made as stand there for so flippin long. She shouldn’t be allowed to work here - what sort of Hawaiian aloha greeting is this :( I’m still teary about it. Thanks a lot of ruining our trip.

If I could rate less then one star I would. Terrible customer service both at the location and at their national customer service center. We were told we needed to call and we would be picked up. They do not pick up or drop off at this location and instead of apologizing for the mix up, their company caused, I got a rude tone and We dont do that. Also it is impossible to find this location as its in the middle of the mall. If you want to save your vacation and sanity do not use this company.

Only because it took me FOREVER to find. International Pavilion, first floor, next to Saks, right behind the elevator. It is a tiny, tiny desk. Its on the directory as Avis. 🙄

I really want to rate them minus. There are some things I want to talk about. To make it short, three things.1st you should have to check the details of options and total price again!! They recommended us for upgrades with 30 dollars more and we choosed. But total priced charged more than we expected. We thought it might be due to the tax problem, but when we get the hotel we found out that they charged us 5 dollars more with the optional products as well (LDW option, it was different from our initial contract on online).2nd, when we tried to return the car, the total price was different again (about 20 dollars more than the initial price!!). We claimed for that and the clerk just said Oh and tear the reciept and retyped the reciept again. Even there was no sorry or explanation.3rd, they should have to learn how to be polite to deal with foreign customers!! They were super rude. When we tried to return it she requested us for the return mileage. But we choosed unlimited mileage car and there was no explanation in advance that we should have to check the mileage when we return the car. She just sighed and looked annoyed. Waikiki is the place for the tourist and you make the profit with that!! Learn how to deal with foreigners from oversea countries!!!!!

Waiting in line for one hour and it looks like we have another hour to wait... Extremely long lineup serviced by one person, sometimes two. Meanwhile, in the office upstairs there are three budget employees who are unaware.

Even if there is a question item during the rental and trying to make a phone call, the automatic response of the mystery will keep you working. It can not be a car rental company. You should never borrow it.

Absolutely problem-free: went there without prior notice, rented a car immediately and drove off within a very short time; Return the same evening just as easily!
