Second time with Alamo and again great service, great vehicles, and minimal weight times. I have always found them to be the cheapest and so long as you plan ahead and have everything available for pick up there is no issues

Returned my rental at this location.The return location was tucked away in the parking garage. Definitely a bit nerve wracking to drive a full-size SUV (Nissan Armada) into the parking structure, as the ceiling appeared low, but the full-size fit with no issues. Drop off was quick and easy without any fuss.Attendants were friendly, asking about our experience with the vehicle as they looked it over. Received a receipt and was off on our way.

Very easy pick up, and also easy drop off. We paid 62 dollars for one day and expected a pretty old car, but we got a brand new Toyota Prius that was super comfort to drive. Could not have been more satisfied!

The entrance to this location is from inside the building. Showed up about 20 minutes earlier than the scheduled time and didn’t have to wait in line. The staff was friendly, informative and efficient, making the pick up and drop off process very easy. We received a free upgrade from an economy vehicle to a midsize SUV. Very reasonable prices. I would definitely come back and refer others!

The retail store location was closed due to staff shortage, had to search around a bit to find their counter located in the parking garage.Took us 5 mins to find the pickup counter.The pickup and drop off was quick and efficient.

Location is great. Personalities in the morning at check in can use some major improvement. Not too friendly. Maybe too early. Car was filthy. I experienced this problem many times before at this location. The best part is the operating hours are the best in the areas for daily rentals.

Great experience all down to their desk attendant Eric. He deals with the long queues calmly and professionally, always smiling and very accommodating to meet your needs. Eric is a champion of Alamo and deserves a pay rise for dealing with everything by himself. My only issue is with their management. Why is Eric left to fend for himself, he was the only person at a two person desk with queues going out the door.

I want to rate this Alamo a zero. I rented a car for about 1 month and 1/2 and I just wish I had gone with another car rental company.My reservation was made with a 3rd party company who told me I could pick the car up at 7pm when I made it to the office it showed they were closed however the man working that night decided to let us in regardless. Then I found out my rental hadnt even been booked. We got the paperwork all done and I made sure to emphasize the dates I needed to rent for, he gave me a quote that was significantly cheaper than when I had called so I took it and placed my credit card with the understanding that it would not be charged until I returned the car.Exactly one month later my card was charged for the full amount. When I called to report this the lady I spoke to in the call center continuously denied the charge and said they only had a hold of $500 on my card. No matter how much I made her aware that this was untrue and Alamo HAD indeed charged my card she continued to deny it. I took it to my bank to dispute the charge but of course that in itself is a lengthy process.When I returned the vehicle I had another bill waiting for the $500. I reluctantly paid it so my credit card wouldnt max out but was unsettled with the fact that I had to pay approx $1400 when I was told and signed off for a significantly smaller amount. Even though I wanted my bank to deal with it I decided to take matters into my own hands, called Alamo and it turns out that not only did they have TWO rental agreements (one which I did NOT sign) I also spoke to a woman who quite condescendingly asked did you really think youd only get charged $900 for 45 days? Yes, if I get told thats all Ill have to pay and I sign off for that amount then thats all Im expecting to pay.No one in that store took what I had to say seriously they kept repeating the same thing, I wasnt trying to get out of my bill, I just didnt think it was fair that I was told one price then charged something else. So I took it to the customer service call center. Luckily I had a young lady who understood my issue and refunded half of my bill.So please be aware if you have a longer rental you will get charged before you return the vehicle regardless of what they say AND they will start up another rental agreement without so much as a visit back to their office OR phone call to make you aware. Ive been in customer service so I know its not always fun dealing with rude customers so I try not to be harsh or difficult but I refuse to be charged differently than what I was told, especially if the contract I signed stated that price and I never returned to sign another one.

Renting a car is allot of fun to get around when you have the urge to hit the town, and there prices for an Alamo are much better than competitor rate for high end sports cars, and luxury models such as the Maserati.

Ive got Camaro with hot deal 50% discount. With online registration it took 2 minutes at office to get the car. No problems with return. No any hidden charges. Good job 👍

We were very happy today with our experience.We had to wait a while to pick up car, but other than that staff were friendly .Car immaculate and reasonable rate .No drama.Highly recommend.We only hired for a day to see the north shore and eastern coast of Oahu.

Very short walk (5 mintues mainly spent waiting for the crosswalk for Ala Moana Blvd) from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. I rented from here on two separate days, and got there first thing in the morning (7am). Took less than 10 minutes to get me checked in and on my way upstairs to pick up my rental. Final price paid was in line with the estimate when I booked. Staff was extremely nice and pointed out the nearest gas station.The location is a bit inconvenient to drive to with all the one-way streets (especially after I filled up right before dropping the rental back off), but everyone on the road is extremely nice in letting you switch lanes. Id recommend folks picking up from here rather than at a hotel/resort due to the extended hours until 7pm.

Super hard to find. They need signs. Existing signs make it look like its in the basement.Also the actual pickup in the garage is super weird as well.If you book through Expedia they dont seem to know you have insurance, and will try to sell it as well.

We booked two car rentals (a convertible for one day and then for 3 days at the end of our trip). We booked these about a month or two in advance. The day we had it booked for one day we woke up to rain so we phoned Alamo and rebooked it for the following day. It was no problem at all and got it for the same price. Then after seeing the small trunk in the convertible we decided to change our 3 day rental (we had all our luggage) to a small SUV. There was no problem with this either and got it for less. Bringing the car back was a breeze.

This rating is based on my drop off experience. We rented a minivan from the Honolulu airport and dropped it off at this location. Drop off is located on the second floor of the parking garage. Just tell the parking attendant you are there to drop off a car and you’ll be directed up. If your hotel is nearby they will drop you off.

Charged us $50 per day more than the rate Expedia told us, charged for insurance and wouldnt accept Expedia insurance, and then gave us a drop off location 1.3 miles from our hotel when there was one 3 blocks from our hotel. And we ended up having to walk back to our hotel at 10pm. Horrible experience!!!

If you ever go to honolulu and need to rent a car this is the place to do so . The service is beyond great and their manager which is Marlei is the perfect example and significant of what great costumer service is all about, she would go beyond her way to make sure you are happy and ok. We had a minor accident and she helped us fully, we love her ! She went to where we were and made sure that we were ok and help us so much. She is truly fantastic and this office and business is very lucky to have her in their team !

Alamo Rent-a-car is in two places in Waikiki, but the point I used is in the Discovery Bay center, so its not easy to find (the point in the center of Waikiki is a standalone building, so its easy to find), but Im on my 3rd visit to Hawaii, but only here, not crowded with waiting, Billy Become. We did not have a reserved car this time, so we gave a pre-upgrade to a better car, and when returning it, we were very happy to welcome you.

There is an office on the 2nd floor (actually the 1st floor) of the Discovery bay Center, and after exiting the office, take the elevator directly to the 3rd floor where you can pick up or drop off your car at the RETURN mark.You should take a photo of any scratches on your car when you are guided to avoid future problems. There are some who have had more problems than I thought.

If you are in Alamo near the Waikiki West, near Hilton or Ilikai, it is convenient to use this. There are no vending machines at the Waikiki branch, so it takes a little more time, and there are times when there are friendly Japanese staff who are used by Japanese. There is an office on the 2nd floor (the first floor is under the ring) of a commercial building with Indian cuisine shops, and pick up the car on the 3rd floor. It seems a bit burdensome to say that the parking lot is closed, so you must return the car by 7 pm.

Our experience with Alamo was truly sublime. Not only were they quick, helpful and friendly, but they also thought along with us. I went for a not too expensive Fiësta, whereupon the employee offered me a Mustang convertible for a small extra charge, at a price that you would not see anywhere on the island. The handling of the collection and return was also fast and flawless, without surprises that you sometimes encounter elsewhere.In short: very satisfied with Alamo!

I made a reservation in Japan, checked in the previous day and registered additional drivers, so the procedure was simple and I was able to borrow a Mustang convertible. As expected, the stock of Camaros convertibles was abundant because it was Hawaii. The car was new and clean, but the Sirius satellite radio that I had added as an option did not enter.
