This is one of my go to spots, but today there was an older guy who did my nails... he was super rude, in fact, they all were today (4/17/2021). Initially when he asked me a question while doing my nails, I didn’t hear him because I had headphones on. Another customer got my attention, we chuckled, then I apologized to the nail tech. After answering him, I put my buds back in. Instead of tapping me, he aggressively pushed my hand to motion for me to put it in the laser thingy, while aggressively grabbing the other... he definitely had an attitude.. it was quite embarrassing because one of the customers noticed, and looked at me in disbelief. He did a terrible job with my nails, and I’m not that picky. I would never go to him again, and possibly go up the street for now on. He sat in the very first booth, to your left.

I am unsure of why they are closed down. I was driving by and honestly they shouldn’t have been open as long as they were. RUDE, NASTY. I went over to Nalique to my surprise, who’s there! Staff from nail expo UNBELIEVABLE. I walked straight out.

Worst nail salon ever! We waited over an hour to get our nails done and one lady walked in and threated to leave so he did her nails before ours. They don’t even know who is next in line they just holler who is next. I was sitting in the chair and the nail tech got up to do the lady’s nails who said she was leaving . Very unprofessional. Then once they finally got back around to me he wanted to rush and do my nails rough and sloppy. He filed my nails crooked and when I told him about it he said that he wanted them to stay because he liked hat shape better. I had to file them myself with the file. Then the color I picked did not look like the one on the pallet and he refused to add more coats he said it would be too thick but it’s not about what he wants it is about what the customer wants. I like three coats of polish for very light colors. I know how I like my nails done. I have never felt so I unsatisfied with a nail shop before. I told him calmly and respectfully exactly how I wanted my nails and he still did them the way he wanted. I left 0 tip and I will NEVER EVER come back. On top of that my nails just chipped and I got no chip! I called and they hung up on me 5 times and refused to let me talk to the manager.

Horrible service. Staff is EXTREMELY rude. Skimp on services rendered. Will never return. Be very aware of this before you visit. We learned our lesson the hard way.

Getting nails done for women is supposed to be relaxing and almost like a self care / spa time. However this place will give you a HEADACHE honestly. They are very unprofessional, they don’t know what they’re doing and out of frustration by them NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY’RE DOING. They lash out at you, RUDELY disrespect you and make you feel terrible. Save your time, peace and money. Go elsewhere. Do not waste your time here. You will end up just a day or two later getting your nails re-done which is already not cheap. It’s also very unclean especially now more than ever when cleanliness is at an all time high.

I asked for a Natural shape nails I feel like he rushed him he even cut me and didn’t say anything. The color was that close to what I showed him I wanted and I just felt he was not listening to me. I just felt like they weren’t well done. The price was not bad but for the service I received I will not be coming back

I will never occupy this business again I brought my own gel polish and they charged me as if I used their gel kit. When I called to speak with the owner he didn’t care that I was going to write a negative review. Don’t waste your time go somewhere else

Today in Homewood, IL at Nail Expo I was getting my nails done & I noticed many imperfections. I asked the nail tech if he could fix them. He fixed one & stopped & he told me No he will not fix the others. He said he will take them off. He grabbed his nail clipper & tried to clip my nails off. I asked him if he could soak them off since just cutting them would hurt. He said No he would just take money off & for me to just pay $45. I gave my card to my friend who did not get any services done & allowed her to pay then we proceeded to leave. He then Assaulted me when I walked out. So I called the police. The police came & he told them I did not pay & walked out. I told the officers I did pay. The officers told me I committed a thief crime since I did not pay. I asked them what can I press charges against the assault they told me “No” because it doesn’t matter what I say it matters what he think and he put his hands on me because I did not pay for services. I repeatedly explained that I did pay the $45 that the lady swiped my card for. They then told me to just leave. I went to the Homewood police station & I was told I can not file a report since I “received free services”

They dont value customers and dont care if you return service is greedy, they only want the money so they will overcharge you and expect a tip.

Not worth it. Salon not clean, employees unprofessional and quality of work is horrible. Don’t waste your time or money. (Look at the greenish/black rim around the cup holding the brushes sitting on the sink where you wash your hands. Disgusting)

I always came here to get my nails done but will never go back I got a fill in a few days ago and a nail breaks off and 2 days after I went to go get that one nail fixed 3 more break. Don’t waste your money or time here

I went on Friday July 3rd to get nails and pedicure done. They used no chip polish. On sunday nails polish is chipping. I will not be going back. They will charge you all this money. Just so they can use cheap water down products.

First time going here. Only went because I met a young lady that works @ beauty supply who nails were gorgeous. I’m simple just got a gel fill in and toe polish change. The lady that service me was nice. Only two problems. First I don’t like how if they say there open until 8pm, they won’t take you at 7:30. That’s money they missing out on🤦🏽‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Secondly since they ready to go they rush you out. This lady whom got a pedi was just making sure her toes were fully dry. The guy told her, pedicure ova you done! I thought that’s beyond disrespectful. Let alone she just gave you a tip and everything, 😮! That makes me wonder if it’s worth spending my money here.

I got a fill in and pedicure... my toes lasted all of 2 days. I got in the pool and when I got out entire toes of polish had come off. A nail broke and it hasn’t even been a week. I stopped here for convenience, but will never return. Extremely disappointed.

This business will not be able to keep up with negative reviews. No matter how many fake positive ones they post. Despicable behavior. Has a long history of mistreating black clientele.

This is me and my friend go to salon. Henry does my nails, but everyone is equally good. We never have to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seated and the atmosphere is calming.

First off all they are rude they don’t have set prices they try to charge what they want or feel like such as taking off polish during a pedicure something they have to do anyways.

Respect PAYING customers. That was foul what they did to that young lady and the police didn’t make it any better (are we surprised?) by not listening to her side of the story and not allowing her to press charges for being assaulted. She clearly paid for her service.

Mani and Pedi on 8/8. Female worker was in extreme hurry. Did not use cuticle softener and did not buff my nails. I had to repeated request she go back over steps to correct.Icing on the cake is when I pointed out that she missed fully covering the toe nail with polish. It was noticable. I found my myself defending what I had pointed out as she was convinced not to see what I was pointing to.I asked to speak to the manager and when doing so, he completely ignored me.What a waste of my time and money. There has to be a better way! I will not be back. Not ever!

Tony and Henry are both very professional and focuses on what theyre doing. However, Tina appeared to be more concerned with literally every thing else going on around her. She did a horrible job. I asked for a gel overlay and no chip gel polish. She cut my Nail all the way down to the skin and tried to put acrylics on me. She got an attitude and did a sloppy job. My Nails have bumps, they are uneven, and even sharp in some spots. Havent even had them a full 10 days and they are already peeling.

Visited this shop recently and was disappointed by the cleanliness. I did not see them sterilized the equipment and when I went back to the basin to wash my hands it was absolutely filthy. Yall be careful.

I take my girlfriend here from time to time. The prices are pretty good for what you get. The work they do is not the best, but always far above average. The inside of the place itself is furnished pretty nicely, and its always pretty clean every time I have been here. Skill wise all the staff here are pretty good; however, some are a little better than others. All the staff here are pretty nice. Its not a 5 star place, but overall its a really nice place, and they do good work for good prices.

The owner does awesome eyebrows. Their pedicure are awesome. The nail work is great.

My first time I came in, my nail were done nicely, however they lack customer service skills. I came back a few days later to get a nail fixed.. the older lady had a attitude when i requested her to fix my nail. I felt like i was inconveniencing her, by getting my nail fixed. I wont come back ever. I want to be treated nice if im spending my money.

This place is terrible and not worth your time or money. I got my nails done and less than 24 hrs they lifted, one of them also cracked it hasnt even been a week yet. When I went back to complain they acted as if I insulted them, which I assure you I did not. Never going back there again.

Wonderful and Friendly

Decided to try something new other then Ps Nails. Went to get my nails done and I have two small cuts on my finger tips. He was filing them he NOTICED that he gave me two little cuts and didnt do anything. As soon as I walked in I was standing there for 5 minutes until I get attended. The guy who did my nails was suggesting what he wanted to do to MY NAILS. NO. It doesnt work like that. Sticking to Ps Nails. Better work and better management.

I had to return a second time after they messed up my nails. I paid $25 for just gel nail polish. The nail color I got was a neon pink when it was supposed to be a light/baby pink. I came back to complain and ask them to redo my nails. When I told them the color was wrong they told me, the colors show up different from the display. After they corrected my nails the told me they will only take off $2! Very disappointed that they do not take responsibility for their mistakes. I used to be a regular customer. However, after this I will never return to their business.

This shop management and employees are rude and lack any type of customer service training.They talk about you in their own language to each other which is very rude and unprofessional. I tried this shop for 3 months due to the shop being convenient, this ends today. I will no longer support this shop. From the moment you enter the door the employees and manager greet you with disrespect.

We went for my daughters 12th bday. She and her friend got thier 1st full set and I got a pedi. Their nails started popping off in 3 day days and my polish chipped the next day. I called and complained and they told us to return and they would fix the issues. When we arrived they served us promptly but did a rushed job. My daughters nails that were fixed look crooked and they refused to remove all the polish from my chipped nails but promised they could make the paint smooth. Well the paint was never smooth AND it was too thick to dry! So it looks like I never got a pedi! Horrible place. Will not return!

They once had very good nail technician, but I was very disappointed with my nails. He just rushed through them and tried to convince me that they looked good. Will not be returning.

These people did my nails and my feet fine. But when it came time to pay, they told me that my debit card (they have no chip reader btw)was not working. I said it does work, I just used it. they said well its not enough money on there. Then she called the owner or the manager over and he began to accuse me of not having enough money. He told me that his machine works fine and they insisted that I leave my wallet or my phone or my car keys behind while I go get the money. I explained I should not have to leave my valuables with them because their machine is not working. I told them I will gladly walk a few steps over to the bank and get some cash from the same card. They said no. I explain to them well then you wont get paid. Finally I agreed to leave my drivers license and walk next door. After the manager or owner argued with me about me not having enough money in my account, I got the money from the same card next door, proving that something is wrong with their machine. I came back and explained to the manager heres my receipt you can verify the last four digits is the same on my card because there was enough money. Instead he apologized like a great owner would he ignored me and continued doing the customers feet. I will NEVER go back there and I will NEVER recommend this place for nail service. This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced the most embarrassing customer service moment Ive ever experienced in my entire life!!! These people should be banned on doing customer service until they have some type of training in customer service!!!!

My daughters and I always leave happy. Doesnt matter what we want, its always right. My mom loves their pedicures, too.

Im satisfied!! Im glad the reviews are bad. I walk right in, ask for......... :-) get my nails done and Im out within 30 minutes. I dont have time to be in a nail shop for an hour or more.

I am a first time visitor at the Nail Expo and I am extremely disappointed with the staff and services they offer. They are very unfriendly. My nails cost me $53 with a foot massage which was not worth it. My finished nails were terrible and disgusting knowing that I have a wedding the following day.They are not a professional nail service and they are certainly not nail experts. I will not recommend Nail Expo to anyone.

I got me,my mother and sister nails done on Thursday and my mother has a broken nail and a whole nail of mine fell off. Definitely wasn’t work $150 AT ALL. I’d rather go to the south or west side of Chicago

Extremely terrible service. A complete rip off! The staff picked up on my accent and noticed I was from out of town and decided to charge me over $100 for a manicure and pedicure. The quality of the nails is extremely bad and the whole process was rushed. I cant wait for these nails to grow out because they are just terrible and I am really disappointed.

They use used toe separators & spa shoes, they put them in the drawer between. The new ones so you dont notice...seemed offended when I told her I didnt want used implements ... terrible attitudes the only good thing are their prices.... I never once saw them clean the pedicure tubs....think I will call the health department...

Horrible experience. I got a full gel set no chip and a pedicure along with my friend. They told me to pick my color then sit down 4 times in a row as soon as I started looking at the colors. We both felt so rushed. I said please just give us 2 minutes to pick a color. Within 10 seconds they told us to pick a color again and sit down. I was shocked. When it came to doing the gel full set I chose a purple polish and a design. He sped through the whole process. Now Im left with nails that are all different random lengths. He didnt even clean the Polish off around the edges. Then when it came time do the design he said they dont have anyone available. I am so disappointed :(

The worse experience ever! Never coming back and wouldnt recommend it. Everyone rushes on your nails and they give horrible pedicures and manicured nails were uneven! Poor customer service too and got an attitude for me telling them how I want MY nails! I wish I could give them zero stars.

I have been visiting this establishment for the past 2 months and have never had a problem. Until I did. First I got a pedicure. The girl did a great job! However, after she was done, as I was waiting for my fill in with another technician, I noticed that she did not sterilize the tools after using them with me, as she began on another customer (she merely rinsed them off). Now for the technician that did my nails-I was getting an overlay fill in. As she used the sander tool, she literally burned the skin on at least 5 of my fingers. I dont know if she was moving to fast or not properly trained, but it was horrible! No apologies either! Then she charged me for a nail repair because the acrylic was chipped off of 1 nail. She did not add a false nail, I simply have an overlay. Why would she charge because the acrylic was chipped off? Lastly, she tried to charge me extra for a 3rd basic color....no design, I just wanted a 3rd color on 1 nail. To top it all off, the very next day, the acrylic chipped off of 2 of my nails! Needless to say, I will NEVER spend my money there again!

The guy kept trying to pry my nails off instead of letting them soak like i asked and got mad when i asked him to stop. The first time I like the way Catt did my nails I had gel nails fill in coffin style shap with a mood polish. Went back the second time cause it was time for me to get a fill in for my nails called and made an appointment and still have to wait then not only that this man that worked there in the pink shirt they he gave me the worst customer service ever. I ASK FOR GEL NAILS FILL IN NO CHIP that cost me $30. My nails look horrible and I told him multiple times if he can fix them and he was rude the whole time.every time I was trying to show him his mistakes I was wrong. I paid to have a service done and Im not satisfied and I have to wait until Monday to go with the girl I originally wanted.This Sucks worst weekend ever

I come here from Indiana because I cant get a gel set anywhere else that lasts as long for a price thats considerably cheaper than the averafe nail salon. Ive gone to Tony and Cat (?) Excellent work and great prices. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Horrible, he messed up the acrylic and got mad when I asked him to fix it! Its still messed up I just left before I went off because Im highly upset about it! They charge you for unnecessary stuff. Charged me 5 dollars to RIP OFF MY NAIL AND made my nail bleed. Then charged for length will not be going back.
