Eric did an excellent job on my natural gel overlay fill in. He followed instructions exactly how I explained to him. And no shade, but he speaks English very well. Hes really nice and personable. I WILL BE GOING BACK! There was a young lady there who also slayed my girls nails.

I like their work whenever you are serviced. They need to work on their professionalism and customer service skills. This place is a hit or miss...

Eric did my nails. They were crooked. Not even 2 weeks later one fell off and 2 more are very loose. Im gentle on my nails. Minimal house work. I work from home so idk. I got my nails done on July 31st and today is August 10th. So the 14th would have made 2 weeks. I paid $80 for these. Kim does good job. Wont be returning for nails, just pedicure. Although I know the salon inside Homewood Walmart is cheaper.

The nail tech was rude and my nails were way to expensive for how basic they are. He was yelling at other staff. Very careless with the polish application.

Do not go here! I have always gotten a lot of attitude from the nail techs there as well as the owner. If you don’t pay close attention they will leave your nails any kind of way. That includes spots on the nail without paint, bad shaping, and painful filing with both the drill and paper file. Again, save your money and don’t go here. Spend your money somewhere with good customer service, and pleasant energy!

The place looked really clean and well kept they have good nail technicians but there is one technician that I don’t care for. The last time I went I got the technician I don’t usually get and I did hear not so good things about him but I took my chances. my nails only lasted a week and he was very rough. Nice place but that nail tech needs some work.

I went in for an acrylic overlay last Saturday. By Wednesday, 4 of my nails were lifting in the corners. I called Thursday to let them know and they told me to come have them looked at. I told them I could come after work on Saturday (today) I get there and the owner tells me there is nothing they can do unless I pay for a fill in. After only a week? When I normally get fill ins every two weeks. My acrylic should not be lifting after 4 days! VERY POOR WORK!

The only reason Im giving them 1 star is because of Lee. Eric is horrible owner. His philosophy is if youre not happy go somewhere else. Every single time that I get my nails done they last maybe a day or two then the start chipping and peeling starts. My daughter has the same issue too. Only when Lee does our nails they last. But I think Eric puts pressure on Lee to move faster, so now even his quality has diminished a bit.Instead of working with his people to teach them better application, he chastises the patrons. I will not let Linda touch my nails. She slaps on the no chip polish so thick it runs over and forms an odd shaped nail. Eric himself does a great job for the most part as well as his wife, but his attitude sucks. Im done! As Im looking at my less than 8 day no chip thats now lifting again... Im done! When I first started coming here 2 years ago, they were great. But this last year since Henry left has been the worst. Dont go here and spend your money.. There are much better places....Eric said so himself! Ive noticed the last two Saturdays that Ive been there it has been really light. Guess other folks are staying away as well.

Staff is always friendly. Can be a long wait without an appointment. Some staff may be available, but not skilled in the service you want, so it can seem frustrating. Small, but comfortable with nice upgrades (best spa chair Ive sat in). Great color selection. Standard pricing.

The best nail techs!!!!

I get my nails done here only because of Lee. He is the best nail tech that Ive come across anywhere. If he left, I would never return to Shiny Nails. The owner (Eric) is rude and petty. He gets upset when people request certain techs and changes the salon policies to fit his agendas. One day you can make appointments; another day hell say they dont do appointments. He never wants to admit any fault and his customer service is horrible! Some of the other techs are also rude and their work is not very good. If you go to Shiny Nails, ask for Lee only.

They do very good and neat work. I think they work fast but do not do a rush job. I never had to correct any technician. Genuinely friendly technicians too!

I have very short natural nails and ive searched for a nail shop that can do my type of nails. Welp 2 yrs ago i found one! Eric does my nails and does an awesome job. His wife and everyone else does also. Its such a loving warm atmosphere. The nail techs take pride in the satisfaction of their clients. Eric even knows my nickname (peanut lol). I tried others and I promise you that no one compares. Once u go there u will always return.

While they do a good job on your nails, its the level of DISRESPECT that has grown there that I can NO LONGER STOMACH!!!. Now Im aware that in most, if not all of the nail salons, that they say things about us, the paying customers, in their language....but I have set and watched them say things, look at the customer they are referring to, then laugh. Last week they again, talked about every customer that left out after paying, and in some cases tipping them. I WILL NOT CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICES. What we should do is DEMAND that they only speak english while servicing the clients, or stop going to them until they do!!!!! I bet they become more respectful then!!!

This shop has taken a turn since they opened, they were very polite and happy to get your business. I’ve noticed the change in the attitudes of the owners Kim and Eric!! They talk about people while there sitting right there and I won’t be recommending them to anyone, nor will I ever patronize them again!!! I also notice the way the press you to pay cash and tell you that it will be 8 more if you pay witha card !!! I’m pretty sure that there breaking the law with these tack ticks, I asked Kim about this cash thing that they have going, she referenced it being her husbands rule!!! Now I know why they don’t have a price list posted !!! I’m closing it makes me feel so discuted when I tell them something that I don’t like about my service and they act like there darn eyes don’t work!!! Very very poor customer service !!! There no chip prices are ridiculous as well...

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Eric (the owner of the shop) is rude. He argued with me about the way my nails were done. Kim( his wife, the person that I usually let do my nails) wasn’t there so I decided to try someone else in the shop BIGGEST MISTAKE!! The only reason I was still a customer at this shop was because of his wife, Kim. But after today and seeing how rude Eric is and how poor his customer service is I will not be back. I have seen him argue with so many other customers and it left me with an unpleasant taste for the shop. I just never thought that after being such a loyal customer since they’re grand opening that I would be treated like this. I got a full set and told the guy that he did not level my nails the right way after he applied the acrylic . He simply just applied the acrylic and didn’t go over it with a drill. He just started painting my nails. And Eric argued with me about it instead of just making sure it was done the correct way. Within the next 24-27 hours after getting my nails done a full set at that; one of my nails broke!!!. I have never had this issue when Kim does my nails or when my nails are done properly by anyone in the shop at that. Even Eric has done my nails before and I never had any issues with my nails breaking within a short period of time. I understand everyone doesn’t know how to do acrylic, so I wasn’t rude about it. I just wanted them to fix it. The man was clearly new I had never seen him in the shop before. But I never thought that I would express my concerns as a costumer and be treating how I was. Waste of $45!!!

Shiny Nails is like a last resort nail salon to go to. Reasonable prices. However, Eric wasnt very friendly nor attentive to my nails. My cuticles were horrific. Polish still on the side of my fingers

Pros - LEE (the best tech), Quiet, Close to my homeCons - Rude owner (Eric) - doesn’t like to be corrected, doesn’t like suggestions, has no respect for people, will talk about his customers in their face in his native language with no remorse and in a patronizing tone, his techs are limited in skill, (We miss Henry), his wife Kim is okay but he’s very controlling and doesn’t allow everyone to go to her, he doesn’t treat everyone the same, very sensitive but lacks compassion for his young customers and their concerns, inconsistent service, basic services cost more than the average, not enough variety, using a card is a price difference as well, no specials, long waits because Lee is the only person worth waiting for, and i’ve been a customer for OVER a year....he has no intentions to change or correct any of these issues. In fact he sees ALL of these reviews and talks about them in the shop as if he doesn’t care and finds them amusing. This owner is ruthless and must be stopped. I’ve confronted him many times about speaking of me in a different language, while he’s actually doing my nails, and he just continues to do so, as I’m unable to defend myself. His demeanor changes when I walk in the door, and it’s not just something he does with me. As I quote “I really don’t care, they can go somewhere else if they don’t like it, they still have to pay me!”

I had a terrible experience... As Im new to the area and trying to find a new nail salon. I was cut while getting services and it was just disregarded with no compassion. Then theyovercharged me for my service. Will never go back..

The owners are very professional and nice. I had a fun & relaxing time. I did not have to lift a finger; service was top notch. The price was higher, but I really recieved what I payed for: PERFECTION.

I will not be coming back to this place...the customer service is horrible...the tech I had was the worst...he was rude and didn’t speak English very clearly...I couldn’t understand what he was saying the whole time...the other tech had to keep telling me what he said..when doing my pedicure I felt like it wasn’t much effort put into it...he piled so much polish on that it took forever to dry...I still have dead skin everywhere...but he did do a good job on my No Chip...after he was done I sat under the foot dryer..(mind you that I got my toes done first)..polish so thick that it seemed to be dry be wasn’t...when I got home my socks was stuck to my toes...most of all they were very pricey...too pricey for something I could’ve got done elsewhere for a lesser price and treated better...I wish I could given them zero stars

This WAS a good place to get my nails done and my pedicures but something happened to the owner. He became distant and disrespectful. I dont like when they start talking about you and they think you dont understand what they said. I can spend my dollars in a better place.

I started coming here in 2013... They fell off Dramatically in recent months! The quality & the variety of nail polish is No longer existent..The wait times have gotten completely out of CONTROL & they take people ahead of you even tho they don’t have appointments because they fill there getting something quicker than you! The customer service has become VERY RUDE AT TIMES, WHEN YOU ASK THE NAIL TECS ESPECIALLY THE OWNER ERIC TO GO OVER SOMETHING, due to the nail polish not covering the entire nail or the overlay not being done evenly or it being really splotchy & having a lot of little bubbles in the polish, he will completely get an attitude & the work remains sloppy... IF YOU GET A PEDICURE FROM THEM REQUEST LEE!! He has an excellent attention to detail! He has Great Customer Service & he’s very Gentle! He stands behind his work!

Poor quality nail polish was /is old he changed the polish but already had one coat holder polish .Thought it was okay but now that Im dry and gone I can see lots of dents and my service was over priced.I dont mind paying for me quality .1 plus I was in and out

My experience was terrible! Eric the owner tried to argue with me because he messed up the length and shape of my nails. He told me to come back at 5, but they close at 5 on Sunday. When I came back he made me wait until it was closing time again. The establishment is overall nice but the owner is very petty.

A bit pricey for the same service I get elsewhere did not like the fact they charge you more when you pay with card. For the pricing of a full set they should cut cuticle/manicure the hands. No chip is $20 I dont understand why? But overall good service.

They really dont deserve any stars. However the one star reflects how very polite the lady who works there was to me upon entering the shop. I left with my thumb bleeding all over the place because he stabbed me under my nails bed trying to take off old nails. Im so disappointed in his lack of concern after stabbing me. Bottom line is left bleeding and without nails done.

I will NEVER go here again. Eric, the guy doing nails at the front is extremely rude and has no regard for customer service.The first time I was there a young girl came in to tell him that her nails that they did the day before were already chipped and he berated her in front of all of the other customers. I was upset and uncomfortable for her...my nails were okay so I decided to try them out againI walked in and told Eric directly “can you do my gel fill in?” He says have a seat....after waiting an hour another lady comes to do my nails and I said thanks but I requested him (pointing at Eric). No one said anything. Then almost another half hour later Eric tells me he’s taking another customer who came in an hour after I did...I said but I’ve been waiting on you over an hour. He just says well I didn’t know and takes the other lady next.I walked out and drove across town to my old nail tech.

They do a great job.

Nice place and they stick to the appointments

I was charged $5 per broken nail and charged $5 to take off my no chip polish. I’ve never in my 40 years of getting my nails done been charged to take off polish when I got a fill in. So a gel fill in with 3 broken nails and regular polish was $40 . Never again!!!!!!!

This is the only place I get my nails done at. Its a little more expensive than other shops but its worth it.

Most of the staff are friendly but on my first visit they gave me to the new guy. Worse manicure ever. Started chipping on 2nd day. I was out of town or would have gone back.

My daughter and I spent $235 at Shiny Nails. I was excited to take her because my first experience there was great. I was sadly disappointment this time. Tina, (sits in the last chair on the left ), did both of our nails and she did my daughters shiny princess pedicure. The pedicure was the entire purpose for the visit. She rushed my daughters shiny princess pedicure. She totally missed the experience of what I described to her about this particular pedicure. She also rushed our nails. Although at first site, my nails looked beautiful. Then I saw the sloppy cuticles which wouldve only taken a Q-tip to clean up. The older lady did a nice job on my shiny princess pedicure. To have rushed services when there was only 2 other people there, was ridiculous. Highly disappointed. This is why Im currently looking for a new nail spa to go to. You wont get me twice. Tried supporting the neighborhood business, but they made the mistake of getting comfortable with me and losing their professionalism.
