Every time Ive been here, I love the person doing my nails . They talk to you, cut up with you, fun and sweet. They really take their time and do a great job. Best of anywhere Ive been (quality wise and personable)

I really enjoyed this salon! The prices were fair and the services were really good. My nails look so good and everyone was so kind.

This was our first trip to this salon, and we had a great time! We got exactly what we wanted, and the COVID restrictions made me feel a lot better about it. This was also my first time getting acrylic nails, and they turned out great! I’ve found my new salon!

Guy doing pedicure was super rough, and he didnt even do a good job. $9 extra to remove gel polish? Thats ridiculous when all they do is use an electric file to take it off... Didnt even do a good job with the nail polish either. Within minutes of leaving one toe was already messed up. I blame this on him not even letting me stay to let my polish dry. He rushed me out very quickly. I have tiny cuts on some toes from the roughness and my heels are very rough. I chose this place because of the 4.5 rating. Maybe I just had a terrible experience, but safe to say I wont be coming back.

I was charged $80 for a gel pedi with 20% tip. The pedi was good, but not $80 good. Nearby nail salons charge half the cost for the same service. I will not be returning.

I love Genesis and recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful pedicure or manicure experience. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive.

Have loved this salon for years! So impressed with their safety protocols for Covid and the quality of the gel manicure. My nail technician worked very hard to make my monochromatic nail dreams come true 😻

I’ve been here several times and each time I can’t believe the quality of the gel’s on my nails. They seem to last forever! The salon takes excellent care of Covid protocol and you can see how serious they take it. I highly recommend the salon over any other in Birmingham that I have tried.

I highly recommend Genesis Nails. I have been several times now and have had many different technicians. Never disappointed - quality of the pedicures and manicures is fantastic. I recently had my nails done by Quyuin and she was great! They let you make appointments too so wait time nearly doesn’t exist this way. COVID protocols are in place and I always feel safe there.

I usually come here and love my experience and nails, but this time the nail tech was very rude and seemed mad when I requested more nail shaping. I also left with two of my nails square shape and the rest oval.

They do a beautiful job every time I go -consistent, excellent customer service from skilled technicians!!! At one visit, I went for wedding pedis with my nieces and the rest of my wedding party! Everyone was so accommodating to us! Love that they serve complimentary wine, too. I wont go anywhere else but Genesis!!!

My SNS nails last longer and look much better when I get them done at Genesis. Its best to make an appointment ahead of time because they stay really busy. I always get Quyhn to do mine because I feel like she cares a lot about making them look the way I want. Shes quick, but doesnt rush through it carelessly.

I always get my pedicures here and they are always great, however I never get manicures anywhere I go because my nails never hold the color on my nails (Or I used to think they didn’t). I have tried gel nails, SNS, and regular polish and my nails ALWAYS chip after 3-4 days no matter the type of manicure, when done at other places. I got a manicure at genesis 2 weeks ago and not a single chip in my nail color so far! Colors looks still as vibrant as the day I got the manicure and I have been rock climbing, kayaking, went to the beach, and other regular daily activities. I’m so impressed and will continue to use Genesis for as long as I live in Birmingham 😊

I had a great experience here. Friendly people and wonderful work. The complimentary drinks were a great touch! The prices are very reasonable for the service you receive.

I came in a few days ago and left a review. Since then, the owner reached out to me and did everything in her power to make it up to me. Nick is an excellent technician and Kristine cares so much about maintaining the standards they have set. The service here is unlike any other and I will definitely be returning in the future as well as recommending it to all my friends.

There were several reasons I was displeased with my visit...I had an appt and they didnt see me until an hr later, then they charged me more than what they quoted me over the phone even though I didnt have any thing but a basic full set no gel or design. Then my full set only lasted 1 week and the nails began to fall off... so I probably wont be back 😕

Ashley was amazing! Very professional and did a great job on my nails. Ill request her every time! Plus, everything is very clean and nice. Definitely eases your mind. Its my new favorite place!

I have been going to Genesis for 6 years and I can honestly say it’s the best nail salon ever. I like to think of myself as a manicure commissioner. I used to write a blog devoted strictly to manis and polish so I know my stuff! My latest manicure has been the topic of conversation everywhere I go. The shape, the color, everything is perfection and I have never gotten so many compliments! I’m hesitant to pick a different color at my next appointment!! Everyone who works at Genesis is professional and courteous and they treat their customers like family.

This salon does a fairly decent job on gel pedicure and dip ( SNS ) nails. You don’t get much of an actual manicure with your nails when you get them. For $10 extra they will soak your finger tips in warm water a few minutes and put a little bit of lotion on. Very minimal cuticle attention. It’s always VERY busy in there and very loud. I think because they serve wine. People start getting a little buzz and it gets a bit loud. Even if they aren’t drinking the sheer number of people in there makes it loud. Personally, when I get my treatments it’s part of some relaxation time for me. This is not a relaxing environment at all for me.

Everyone here is amazing! Ive been going here a little over a year to get my nails done and Ive never had a less than excellent experience. Kevin and Christine are amazing as well as everyone else!! Also, they are all amazingly talented! The appearance and vibe are a plus too! The service and quality will keep me coming back for years.

Tammy did my nails exactly how I asked And made them look even better then the inspiration photo I showed her from Pinterest! This will always be my go-to nail salon from now on.

By far the very best nail salon Ive been too. Definitely worth the drive. I saw Tammy, who I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. She did a fantastic job. She paid attention to detail and my nails look great because of it. No bubbles, nails are even and symmetrical, perfect length, and the acrylic isnt thick and bulky. Ive been shopping around for a good salon to call home. Finally found it. I wont be going anywhere else. Its a clean place with a 100% health rating, which is important to me. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other salons. Complimentary drink service too, wine or water, which I thought was pretty great. I have to make about a 25 minute drive to get there from home but its worth the drive. I dont know about the other nail techs and their work but Tammy is my new go to girl.

AMAZING nail spa! Im just mad I waited so long after my friends told me how wonderful Genesis is to actually visit. During my first visit, P. Dang did a wonderful job with my gel manicure so now I make all of my appointments with her. Let me say this -- Ive been wearing gel manicure since my sophomore year of undergrad (now 8 years ago) and my manicure has never lasted 3-4 weeks. With P. Dang, it does and I absolutely love it! However, I do hear that every technician there is top notch. I now live in Macon, Georgia and Genesis is still my primary nail salon. So yes, I travel over 200 miles just for a gel manicure (and, of course, to visit family and friends).

The best nail salon ever!!! Always quality, professional work and my pedicure lasts at least a month! Nails are still glossy and no chipping! They really take their time with you and dont rush. They make you feel special. Its super clean and the workers are very friendly! They offer you Champaign or water to drink. I love them!!!!

I went to Genesis about a month ago for the first time(recently moved to Birmingham) for a gel mani & pedi, and I cant wait to go back! Awesome atmosphere, everyone was friendly from the moment I walked in to the time I left. P-Dang was my nail tech and she did a wonderful job! I plan on making this my go-to nail salon from now on. BEST NAIL SALON IN BIRMINGHAM! I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years. Kevin and Kristine run their shop effecicently and with extreme professionalism. No where compares to Genesis Homewood. A few times I have been out of town and gotten services done elsewhere and I regret it. I am spoiled by how well of a job their staff does on gel manicures and pedicures.

I like their location and love their prices. They always offer a bottle of water or glass of wine. I usually get water in warmer months. Lil Bit gives a great pedicure. I use the blue setting and press AUTO on the massage chair.

We had a bridal party here the day before my wedding. It was absolutely perfect. Kristine and the rest of the staff made sure we were all taken care of and suggested/executed gel nails for most of the wedding party. I communicated with her via email and sent pictures of nails I liked beforehand. She did gel nails with ombre glitter on the tips and it came out beautifully. Highly recommend this salon for a bride looking for a professional salon with easy staff in the Birmingham area. Prices were very reasonable. We were staying at a hotel downtown and it was but a 10 minute drive away. Absolutely perfect!

Genesis is the best nail salon that I have been to. The salon is very clean and new. The staff are well trained and welcoming. Very relaxing atmosphere! Extremely pleased with the services provided. I have received numerous compliments on my nails and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone. Quality is great so I will be going back!

Ive been coming Genesis Nails Spa last week for my manicure and very satisfied with their services. This place is all about nail care and color. The color selection is great. The staffs were very professional and so friendly. My manicurist took his time and made my nails look absolutely fabulous. The place is extremely clean and the prices are affordable. It was my first time going and Ill definitely go back.

Definitely the best place in town. I love my nails and service was perfect. It was a little more expensive than I typically pay for Dip but worth it. I will tell you there is no parking! Im not sure where they advise you park but I drove around forever to find a spot.

I’ve been to Genesis before. Today my husband went in for a pedicure. His feet are still almost completely calloused over. His toes look great compared to when he went in but the bottoms of his feet are awful. I have always had a 5* service but his only time coming in was less than expected. He’s pretty disappointed because I made him drive 35 minuets and pass MANY other salons as I insisted Genesis was the best.

I got a classic pedicure for $30. They offer you red or white wine which you can drink during your pedicure. While they do your pedicure, you get to sit in a comfy massage chair. The staff was very nice and attentive, and they do a great job.

It has been a journey finding a nail salon that I like in bham. Genesis is always a fast, friendly, quality experience. They do an awesome job with both SNS and gel manicures and the free wine helps too! My nails always last over 2 weeks still looking great!

Paid too much for my natural nails to be dipped and they didn’t last a week. I get my nails dipped where I’m from and they last three to four weeks.

Im from out of town and its so hard to find a decent nail salon when traveling. I Googled this place and after reading the reviews I thought humm Ill try them. So glad I did. The staff was great and the service was even better. I really enjoyed my tech she was super friendly and up to date with the stiletto shape nail...go Kim! Only thing that caught me off guard was the price for a acrylic fill $30..little over priced but it was worth it.

This was my first time here. I was on a time crunch with getting both a manicure and pedicure done and making my next appointment. My nail techs were amazing at getting me complete in 45 minutes. Kudos!!

The staff did an excellent very thorough job and were very hospitableI have to update my review considering I had a really awful experience. I have gone to this salon 20 or more times and have had good experiences but this time the guy who did my nails was sloppy, rough with me, leaving me with 5 cuts on my hands.. such a shame

The last pedicure I had here was so bad that I said I wouldnt ever go back. Because of its convenience, I stopped by today at 6:17 and was told rather rudely that they stop taking people at 6:15 (even though they are open until 7). I was in my car trying to find another place that was open and the lady who wouldnt take me 2 minutes past their cut off came outside to smoke a cigarette. Poor customer service.

The owners and most of the workers are great. This is my go to, but today my experience was not good. There are fingerprints on 2 of my nails and I could see my nail coming out the side of my nail extension!! Then I was told how I dont look good with a certain nail length/shape.

My lady couldn’t understand me. I was overcharge for my appointment because I selected the signature and she charged me for something else. AND my pedicure is the messiest I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your money

Genesis was really nice in taking an appointment last minute and I think that they did a really nice job. Please keep in mind I have short, bitten nails and TERRIBLE cuticles. She did well.

Best manicure Ive ever had!!

I will never come here.. I drove 15mins out to have the manager of the store tell me itll be a hour wait, which prior to me in route, he tells me 30min wait.. The owner made me and my daughter feel rushed and kept asking what did we want out loud. I just got disgusted and mark through our names on the scheduling chart. I would not recommend this place to a dog.. Its staff has awful customer services

Genesis Nail Spa was AMAZING. Me and my 3 girlfriends booked an appointment there and we were serviced right away. Pdang was very friendly and accommodating. CiCi did my mani pedi and Im tempted to drive from Memphis to Birmingham just to experience her services again! If Im ever in the city or passing through, I would DEFINITELY return.

Even though they were very crowded, they got me and my friend in and out with out a long wait. Very nice people, and my toes look super sparkly and amazing!
