Our trip with the Backwater Cat Adventure team was so much fun. Ben, our guide was very informative and very funny. We had a sunset tour and got to see dolphins a few times. I highly recommend this company if you want to see the island in a very special way. Loved that they took about 28 pictures for us for free and sent them out via email so we can enjoy the adventure without worrying about loosing our phones to the water. 😆😜

This was hands down the best experience we’ve had on the island! Cheyenne was super helpful and very accommodating for our group. We tried to purchase tickets online for a party of 4 and we were only able to purchase 3 before they sold out for that time slot, with no other times available 😔..She went above and beyond with her manager and they opened up a time slot specifically for our group to do the tour on our last day of vacation! I wish I would have found this place sooner. Joey was our tour guide and he was super cool. We will definitely be doing this again in the future! Highly recommend checking it out! 75 bucks a person for a 75 minute tour. They also have 2.5 hour tours and they rent jet skis!

We had a great experience. Learned some history of Hilton Head, saw several dolphins and the boats are really fun. We were scheduled for the day before but were rescheduled due to possible weather. I really appreciate that they rescheduled as there was a big storm that came in that night and would have made it a really bad experience. The only disappointment was that the clouds rolled in blocking our sunset, but the Back Water tours sure cant help that.We highly recommend the Back Water Adventure tour.The Watkins Family

We arrived on time for our 9am tour. The staff were all young kids and disorganized. We didn’t get situated until 9:20. We got in the boats, my 2 teenage sons in one. There was another adult couple that came late and asked to join, the problem was no more boats with a splash guard. The kid tour guide took my sons out of their boat and put them in one without the guard, never asking us or explaining why. The tour started and my boys were immediately drenched. They could not keep up to speed because of the water spraying in their faces. The owner did call me and refunded our tour. He was very nice and apologized. Just make sure u get a boat with a splash guard!

Loved it!! The boats were in great shape and the guide was very knowledgeable. We stopped several times as he pointed out items of interest (dolphins, birds, etc.) which made the trip more entertaining. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend this company!!

Captain Nick was great we had a amazing time. He was very accommodating and had a lot of interesting information on the history of the island.He was very patient and helpful when we didnt drive boat perfectly. Thank you for a great adventure!!

Great boat! Great time. As advertised. Seemed pricey but was not at all for the time on the water. My wife drove the boat without any problem. She was smiling the whole time. Lots of dolphin to see. Guide was informative. A must if u want a different view of HHI.

Way above expectations, Must do in Hilton Head SC

This is by far the best experience you can possibly have in Hilton Head. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable, the boats are sooo fun, and the wildlife is abundant. You get to see amazing scenery that the average tourist will not see. I would highly recommend this boat tour. If you are going to do one thing in Hilton Head, DO THIS!

Captain Nick was our awesome guide for the sunset excursion...what an excellent ride we had. Dolphins at play, egrets standing in the marsh reeds and a bright sun setting in background. A MUST do on the island.

We went on the boat tour with Captain Tom. It was sooo fun! It was actually the highlight of our 7 day trip to Hilton Head Island. We highly recommend this activity. Seems pricey but was well worth the money!

We had an amazing time cruising through the water with Jordan. We were able to explore all of the inter coastal waterways from Pinckney Island and Skull Creek to Sea Pines. We were the only ones on our tour and really enjoyed the fast pace of flying through the water enjoying the birds and dolphins. Jordan gave us a lot of information on the island and wildlife and even took many photos of us. Leaving from the Hilton Head RV marina was a big bonus because you were in open water in a few minutes.

The boat steering is difficult to get used to (a stick vs a steering wheeling). Having to play follow the leader with 3-4 boats makes things a bit more stressful. Have to pay too much attention to not clobber the boat in front of you.Would also have preferred a self-guided tour.

This was the most amazing experience. Beginning from the team checking you in, to the tour guide (Patrick), and all the way to the great boat excursion, the sites, the boat trip, the fun side beach, etc. This is the best thing to do in Hilton Head and simply one of the best family excursions we have ever done. Simply amazing!!!

Took my 19 yr old visiting nephew for a ride this week and had a very good time. My husband and nephew were in one boat and I was the tour guides passenger. He did a really great job touring us around and we got to see a few dolphins. Its not the least expensive activity to do on the island, so it wont be something we can do every time friends and family come to visit, but we had a very good time.

What a great experience! The tour guide (forget his name but hes the 29 year old long shoreman from Savannah) was super knowledgeable & friendly. He took us to the back areas of Hilton Head and we saw a ton of dolphin. My family and I had a blast!

I went on this adventure in July 2019 with my husband and our two daughters (ages 11/8), we all had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to HHI. Boats were easy to manage and this ended up being a unique and super fun way of seeing the area!

Great experience. hilton head has so much to offer and I would say Backwater is one adventure we will have to do year after year now. The guide was great and customer service was top notch. next time we are going to bring our son and daughter along.

My sister and I had a great time, saw several dolphins and a sea turtle. If you’re looking for some fun on the water for a few hours, definitely check them out, absolutely worth the money.

We went out a couple of days ago with backwater cat adventure on a 2.5 hour tour while we were at HH on vacation. We took our two 8 year old kids. EVERYONE had a great time. Driving the cat boats is like driving a go kart on the water. The tour took us all over the islands and inlets and Allen (our guide) knew everything. We must have seen 20 dolphins who swam right next to the boats and all sorts of other wild life. Both of my sons made me PROMISE that wed come back again next year and we will. We saw other tour companies with the same sort of boats, but the guides were just having them drive in a straight line -- Allen had us weaving and flying all over the place.

One of the best things weve done in 25 years at Hilton Head!
