We had a great time on our kayak tour. We went in the morning, and did get to see a couple of dolphins as well as many birds. We also enjoyed our tour guide- he provided lots of neat facts about the island which was awesome because it was our first trip here. When we come back we’ll definitely go here again!
We had an wonderful experience kayaking ! Our guide was Zach. We were in the group with other people. Zach was very easy to talk to. He made connections with everyone and experienced.Answer all the questions. We we’re able to spot dolphins in many sites.we were in Hilton Head for a week and kayaking was one of the top favorite experience that we had.We also did parasailing but getting into kayak and being close to the water even if you get wet in the rain it was a lot of fun. Make sure you take a waterproof phone case with you and a waterproof bag that you can put your wallet or other stuff there .
Pretty low key and chill place! My boyfriend and I rented kayaks for 4:45 pm, we showed up a few minutes early they gave us some life jackets and we were off after a quick tutorial from a guide. We finished kayaking the channels before our two hours were up and just left the boats on the dock as instructed. Didn’t see any dolphins or wild life, but it was fun to get a close up look at some of the houses in broad creek. Try to go when it’s not too windy! There are a couple good restaurants right by the kayak stand too!
Awesome experience for our whole family. We rented 3 double kayaks and our tour guides, Dave and Karen, were very personable and knowledgeable. We all had an amazing time and great conversation along the way. We saw several dolphins, lots of birds, and the scenery was breathtaking. We went on the 8am tour and the weather was perfect! We highly recommend Kayak Hilton Head and recommend that you take the guided tour. We would definitely do this again if we should visit Hilton Head again.
This was a great experience. We did a self guided experience and saw a bunch of dolphins and jelly fish. Your best bet is to go in the morning because there are less boats on the water and the dolphins are quite active. They do not have a ramp to get you into the water so you must be physically able to step off of the dock and lower yourself into the kayak. They will hold the kayak as you do so. I have a bad shoulder and was still able to manage so its not too difficult. You do have to pay in cash, no credit cards accepted.
I went on their guided dolphin tour this morning and had a blast. Ruben was a great guide and despite being a single and coming alone for my tour, I never felt anything less than included. It’s a great tour for everyone, I have not been on a kayak in a few years but the timing of the 8:00am tour was great, we were not battling tide current and could float and relax most of the way. Thanks for a great experience!
You cant go wrong w/this tour! We actually got to see a manatee up close and personal. Tour guide was Zac -- what a delightful young man. So great. There was another guide - a lady who was a 4th grade teacher -- I didnt get her name but got to visit w/her some. Enthusiastic and very caring about her group also. if you have a choice, pick this tour!
My family did a ttwo hour guided tour with Erin. She was fantastic! Her energy made the experience all the more enjoyable! My adult son has Autism and she was so kind and understanding the entire tour. She showed him such respect and inclusiveness! Will go again and ask for her!
Ruben was an amazing tour guide! He was very personable and knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We went June 2021 and did see dolphins and some cool birds. Learned about the ecosystem as a whole, and how important the oysters are! Would definitely recommend this company and tour guide Ruben to kayaking newbies and experts alike! 10/10
We had Ruben as our guide. He was excellent; dude had great facts about the local ecology, he was light hearted and quick with humor, and was very helpful with recommendations for other things to check out in the area. He was also great with my little nieces on their first kayaking trip!
Place was nice. Clean. Organized. Easy to get in and out of kayaks. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Erin was energetic but lacked guide experience. She paddled very fast and didn’t provide a lot of information. Just a little in the beginning. I think she needs to slow down a bit and provide more education. Felt very rushed. We did see dolphins and it was a pretty day. Marina can get a little busy but they were good about watching out for boats in the no wake zone.
Ruben was an excellent guide who made our experience exceptional! He guided us right where the dolphins were, educating us on safety, flora & fauna in a polite & funny style the entire trip. It is evident from our interactions with the nice owner Dave all the way through each crew member that this company cares about providing a quality & safe experience for everyone. I highly recommend & will be returning regularly!
We did the evening time. Seen lots of dolphins. The staff is super nice. Our guide Zach (with a Q) was really good. Highly recommend, very relaxing.
This was our second time there! The guides are professional and fun, the equipment is in great condition and the views are gorgeous. Perfect for a family or individual. This is a safe and caring company! I do not have any photos as I don’t take my phone in the water. But the first trip we took dolphins were everywhere, go early or later to see them.
Karen absolutely amazing. Our family of 5 youngest being 4 had such a great experience! We were able to ask so many questions and Karen was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
Rubin was our guide and he was phenomenal!!!! This is the best tour ever. Saw lots of sea animals and didn’t have to paddle too hard.
Had an Awesome time! Saw a few dolphins close up, it was a very relaxing tour of the ocean low lands. I believe our tour guide was Steve and he was also great. Veey knowledgeable of the area, said he had lived there for over 30 years and knew so much about Hilton Head.Would highly recommend!
Great experience! Tour guides were awesome as well. Definitely will be coming back next vacation.
Tour guide Dave was amazing great stories and attitude. Saw dolphins birds and great views. Really good kayaking experience would definitely go again. Very clean and organized.
Everybody was great. Very friendly. Mary was our guide, she was very informative and fun. We Will definitely be returning. If youre in Hilton head make sure you stop by, theyre open all year round ❤
Mary was a great guide on our morning trip. We saw dolphins multiple times. Our group was a mix of experience levels and Mary was very patient. We will definitely come back again!
We had a great time, Ruben was our guide and did a great job, only down side is that Im gonna have to go kayak shopping when I get home now!
I believe our guide was Mary, she very knowledgeable about all of Hilton Head, with love and care about her home. She was patient and kind to my children with their normal confusing 7 and 9 year old questions and answered and joked with them. Everything was ran very smoothly from paying, introductions, quick lesson, operation, and so on. Not a complaint, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves from my family to the other families that were grouped with us. Great views, and we even saw dolphins! Great time, thank you!
Had so much fun. We loved being out with Jason on the kayaks! Would definitely go back out!
Highly recommanded!! A great guided tours with lots of dolphin encountering. All processes from beginning to the end was very smooth and professional ways with easy and comfort explainations. It was our first visit on the island and could start with a full of knowledge and information including histories.
Fantastic! Bill, our guide was extremely personable and well versed with the Broad Creek area. The wind made things a little more taxing than normal, but we paddled through our two hour tour smiling all the way. We even spotted a couple of dolphins. Tons of fun for our family of five. It was the highlight of our weekend!
Had a great two hours out with general single kayak rentals for 2 adults. We docked at 10:15 AM - we were able to see one dolphin, make a pelican friend, and enjoy beautiful views. If we were able to do it again, we agreed the guided tour may be better if we want to see more dolphins. We ended up going to the suggested turning around point and made it back to the dock in the first hour. We wish we had taken a chance and kayaked further out. Instead we spent the second hour kayaking in the opposite direction, which was fun but not as smooth. There were many speed boats which made difficult conditions to get through.I made reservations over the phone, which was suggested on the website. I would say the customer service over the phone could be better handled; it seemed unorganized and a bit unfriendly (when I was confirming the reservation the day before I overheard the employee tell her coworker she was answer “stupid people questions”). Nevertheless, in person the customer service was friendly and helpful! We are not new to kayaking so we were fine on our own, but I think a beginner could handle casually meandering through the area. Would suggest bringing a dry bag that floats just in case any water gets in your boat or heaven-forbid your bag falls out of the boat!
Only downside to this day was the wind! We went without a guide as we have kayaked many times before but trying to kayak against the wind on the water was a challenge lol. If you can get it there on a less windy day than would be ideal! Otherwise the guide that got us checked in was very friendly and informative.
Easy experience in a beautiful environment that allowed fir a great day of seeing birds, dolphins, boats, oyster islands and taking in nature with a side of exercise! Highly recommend renting from Kayak Hilton Head and enjoying a bite or libation at two restaurants next door and on the water.
Dave was an awesome guide! This was by far our favorite thing we did on our trip to Hilton Head. He was able to fit me and my girlfriend in last minute making everything work better for us!
Most Excellent Staff ! We had a blast with Jason. Very good guide !
I highly recommend booking this venture, we saw dolphins, learned about manatees, our guide, Dave was great! He is very knowledgeable, we learned so much about the island while having an absolute blast!
We had a wonderful time kayaking here and Dave and his staff were helpful and fun. What a beautiful way to see a beautiful part of the world.
A great experience! Fun for everyone and the staff was incredible!
It was the busy Easter week and they still added 4 of our friends to a reservation, very accomodating. The guide was great and the kayaking good. A bit challenging for those who have never kayaked before but the condituons were unusual with tide and wind. Try the Old Oyster Factory restaurant afterwards. Great day out!!
Great guides, great tour, good workout! 😅Got to see a baby dolphin!! 😍
I enjoyed my kayak experience perhaps the water was so hard. Good tour:s lady
Great guide- saw lots of manatees
I was able to rent a kayak and go on the water solo. Went for a 2 hour ride and came back. It was great and received a great fishing advice. I was able to catch my first red drum which was great. It was just over the legal limit to keep so I had to send it back home.
Had a great guide and experience.
Great people, great tour. We took the Dolphin tour on a Khayak. It was worth every penny. The staff is amazing.
Great service, friendly guide and fair prices.
Craig was a fun, awesome guide. We did the dolphin tour and it was more than just that. Craig gave us a tour of the area, made the trip fun for our kids, and was informative and fun. We saw dolphins everywhere that we went. Ask for Craig!
We saw dolphins up super close!! It was affordable. the guide was knowledgeable and fun. The kayaking instructions were easy to understand. What a great experience. Totally recommend
We had a great trip. We saw a couple of dolphins, an otter and numerous native birds. Mary was our guide and handled everything in a professional manner. She also had a great wealth of knowledge of the area. We highly recommend Kayak Hilton Head!
Our tour guide was Mary and she was absolutely amazing beginning to end.♥️ She was knowledgeable and made every stop enjoyable by sharing information in an upbeat tone. She made the tour fun and helped when needed steering kayaks ! Would book again and 100% request Mary ! Thank you again for making our experience memorable!
I highly recommend this tour. Great for all experience levels. Very knowledge and fun tour guides!
Dave took good care of us and gave us a personable tour of the waterways, with stories and details and good laughs! We learned a lot about the local wildlife and a bit about the local humans too! A few manatees came to check us out! Thanks for a great time, Dave!
We’ve been here several times and had fun every time. My husband and I have rented the double kayaks, we’ve went with our kids and also by ourselves. We’ve talked about buying our own kayaks now that we’ve moved here, but learning from people who’ve lived and worked here for years has been an awesome experience! We think you guys do a great job, we’ve always been given plenty of time and we will be back again soon. (With so many things to do and places to go, it’s easier to rent the kayaks than to store them or carry them around.) - T.
Great fun— dolphin watching
My family had a blast. The instructor Billy was very informative and he didnt paddle too fast. We had the kiddos with us and they loved it.
It was my first time in a kayak and our guide Dave did a fantastic job of instructing and encouraging us. We were able to see dolphins and manitous. Had a great time and would recommend this as a great way to spend a few hours away from the beach
Both my wife and I enjoyed the kayaking adventure! Since it was hot and sunny even for the late afternoon it was great being on the water. All the parties were able to maintain a pace that didn’t require the guide to have to instruct anyone. The speed and effort required was moderate and nothing average people couldn’t handle. The guide was floating near everyone engaging in conversation and pointing out interesting facts of the area. Overall it was a great time and we’d do it again!
Dave was a great guide, and we enjoyed an amazing time on the water seeing the beautiful habitat here at Hilton Head!
We did a kayak guided tour with Mike and it was so much fun! We saw a dolphin and Mike helped us follow it for a bit which was such a treat! He was so knowledgable about birds, and just about anything else related to the local ecosystem! My boyfriend and I had a great time. I wouldnt say it is very strenuous as you arent in the open ocean. Just the right amount of physical activity!
My family and I came here for a great experience and our tour guide Sam did just that. Made us feel so comfortable from the moment we got into the kayaks, and we are definitely coming back again.
Great opportunity to see lot’s of dolphins. Would definitely do it again! The guide was very helpful getting us started on a good route and directing us on using the kayak.
Great experience. Saw dolphins and a manatee. Mary was a great guide!
The instructor was very patient and informative. The weather was great and it was amazing
We absolutely loved our Kayaking tour. My best friend and I was nervous about going because she has MS but Dave made us feel comfortable and encouraged us that we could do it. We got to see dolphin and Dave was very knowledgeable about the eco system!!!We would highly recommend this tour if we can do it anyone can !! Thanks so much Dave💖💖
We took the 8 am tour and it was awesome!! Beautiful weather, lots of wildlife, so relaxing! Our guide’s name was Mary and she was full of information about the area and the wildlife here. She was so helpful! My husband and I took our seven and five year old and they loved it too! We will definitely make this apart of our trip every year!
Captain Craig was awesome. We enjoyed the experience.
Its a great opportunity to see Hilton Head island from the inside. Mike was a great guide, telling us about the wildlife we were seeing and about the plant life in Broad Creek. We were able to see and follow a dolphin for a while and then also saw some oyster beds. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours and learn stuff, get a little exercise, spend time with the family, and enjoy nature at its finest.
We had a great time shark fishing and our guide/captain Craig was fantastic. He was very willing to answer the thousand or so questions that our kids had and was very engaging with them. Our children are 6, 8 and 10 and each of them was able to (with Craigs help) reel in several sharks ranging from 2-3 feet long. They had a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it for active, fun loving families.
Loved listening to Taylor and his extensive knowledge of ocean life. Very informative. This is our second time with this Kayak company. We highly recommend them. We saw birds, dolphins and enjoy our trip thoroughly. Thank you.
This is the best kayak place in Hilton head... well as far as tours go... we went on a 2 hr guided tour with a guide who was fantastic I cant remember his name but he was an older gentleman that showed us many amazing things and told us awesome stories about Hilton head and sharks... in his free time he scuba dives for shark teeth. really great guide. great affordable fun for the whole family.. my wife and I surprised her parents with this guided tour and they had a blast as well. we saw several (10+) dolphins, crabs (50+), birds and large mansions on this tour. would absolutely do this again next time I visit. mary was the one who booked our trip and she was a joy to work with
We kayaked today at low tide, and last summer we kayaked at high tide. Both trips were fun and relaxing. We saw lots of birds (which our guides named and told us about) and a couple of dolphins each time. Today we saw five manatee! One of the manatee swam right under one of kayaks and lifted it up. We had fun being around the manatee for a little while and then continued on our trip. We enjoyed hearing more about HHI and the wildlife. We definitely recommend a kayak trip to learn, relax, and enjoy the island.
Dave took my family and I out for the dolphin boat tour. 5 stars does not even come close to express how amazing our tour was. Super friendly, knowledgeable and just an all around great experience. Seen tons of dolphins up close and other nature. Very personal experience. Thanks Dave amd kayak Hilton head
Great experience and amazing guide who knew all about the marine life and birds. Also has some great stories about dolphins and of course, Java Burrito! We saw dolphins ans alligators and all sorts of birds. Ask for Dave!
Dave knows a lot of fun facts about the eco system, but he talks more about the bad customers hes had and about the politics of the island. We didnt see dolphins, but we seen some birds and a manatees nose. Also, we paid for a two hour tour and were out less than an hour and a half.
We had a blast - it was easy and quick to get on the water. The family totally enjoyed the dolphins and sea life. Great tour guide tooThanksSteve
Our family really enjoyed our guided kayak tour. We were a large party of 10 adults and 4 children and all went ssmoothl-even though we booked last minute. Dave was our guide and was helpful, informative, and entertaining. We enjoyed the tour guides stories, the exercise, and the view of wild life-including a dolphin! Would do this again when back in the area. Thanks for an enjoyable memory!
We did the 8 AM tour. Our group of 4 joined several others making a group of around 12 total. Our guide was very friendly and professional. She was able to keep track of everyone and communicate the details of the area we kayaked through and discuss the wildlife we encountered. We saw several birds, the oyster beds, and followed a dolphin. All while she kept out of the various boating lanes in the channel. The trip is very efficient and runs the full 2 hours. Its also reasonably priced. We all enjoyed the experience and would do it again.
Dave was an excellent guide for us. My sisters have never been to the beach or seen dolphins except for zoo. Thank you so much for the wonderful tour today.
Our guide, Mary, was knowledgeable and very kind. Our family really enjoyed learning about the wildlife in the area. We even got to see Manatee!
A must do activity when visiting Hilton Head. Our tour guide was fantastic as was the tour and the scenery. Worth every penny spent however Kayaking with dolphins...priceless!
David was our guide! He was amazing!!!! I was super nervous at first, he calmed my nerves! He was also very funny and entertaining throughout the ride while also giving us great history of the area! We will definitely come back next year!!
Great from start to finish. From Craig on the phone when booking the tour to the guys helping us out of the kayaks. Didnt know what to expect. Some of us had experience and some of us did not. With that being said we could not have asked or picked a better guide for our tour. Dave was awesome. He was entertaining, energetic and knowledgeable. We had a wide range of ages in our group and he kept us all engaged relaxed and laughing. Will absolutely do this again. Im sure all guides are great but it shows when you love your job. Thanks Dave, we will be back.
Because we saw a lot of amazing nature (including dolphins!)
We had a great kayaking trip with Taylor as our guide. He kept us informed about the wildlife we observed. Lots of dolfins and birds today. I highly recommend this.
Great launching point for exploring broad creek by kayak. Check the winds to see how hard or say your paddling will be that day. The staff was very helpful and easy going.
Dave took great care of our family and provided a lot of entertainment and information. The kayaks were comfortable and worked out great for our family with an adult in back and a child in front of each kayak. If you want a better chance at seeing more wildlife in the water, go around high tide.
