Best service on the island! Always helpful and patient over the phone, especially when I’m in the car driving to Hilton Head trying to book last minute bikes and beach equipment! Having an account from my previous years helps the order process quicker. We Love Peddling Pelican! Comfy bike seats, great location and friendly knowledgeable staff really make our vacations so much better! Never had any issues with their delivery and pickups. Always great to arrive on HHI after several hours in the car, being able to ride around and stretch our legs starts our vacation off at 5 Stars every time!

Top notch customer service! We rent bikes and a crib from Peddling Pelican every year. This year one of my daughters jumped into the crib and cracked the wood slats under the crib. I called the office manager to let them know that we had an accident, and offered to pay to replace the crib. The manager not only refused my payment to replace the crib, but they swapped out our crib for a new one immediately. I never expect a handout, and Im very appreciative of how the staff at Peddling Pelican handled this situation. We will continue to rent any & all things from them!

Super easy process to rent bikes. The staff were knowledgable about the area and friendly. Highly recommend renting bikes in Sea Pines Resort and biking around - it is quieter and more quaint than biking around Coligny Beach.

We went to Hilton head for Labor Day weekend. I made reservations at sea pines for bikes but it didn’t go through (i take responsibility as user error). We went over there to see if we could get bikes in person (because no one was answering the phone). The manager was so rude and angry. I get Covid has caused issues, but we’re all dealing with it dude. He was kind enough to recommend pelican though!I called pelican and not only did they answer the phone, the lady who I spoke with was so sweet and accommodating. They were able to get us bikes immediately and even offered pick up (with no minimum rental length). They were just as nice in person. Got us in and out in a timely manner (even with a long line of customers). The prices were better than sea pines too! Based on my experience with them, this is who I will be renting from in the future. Don’t waste time or money anywhere else.Happy customer!

Last week while riding my bike in Sea Pines I got a flat tire. I took my bike to Peddling Pelican and they fixed my flat, adjusted my brakes and had me back on the road in less than an hour! My bike rides like it’s brand new!! Thanks Grant and Shawn for the awesome experience. I highly recommend!!

I saw the Peddling Pelican truck delivering in my plantation and flagged down the driver. His name was Tyrone and he was awesome. He helped me put air in my own bike that brought from home and gave me the number to the shop. I called and rented bikes for my kids for the week. It was a great experience talking with Marcus and getting the delivery set for the next day. Tyrone delivered early the next morning with a big smile on his face and knocked on our door to let us know the bikes where in the driveway. These people are awesome and know how to connect with others. In a world of horrible customer service experiences these folks know how to make things easy.

My husband and I booked in advanced to have our bikes delivered to our rental property. When we got there, we noticed our bikes werent delivered and called to check on the delivery status. The woman that answered the phone was unprofessional. She argued with my husband that the bikes were already delivered. Turns out they were delivered to the wrong address- they were couple houses down from ours. They immediately sent some to investigate, who found our bikes and brought them to us. The bikes were great with no problems the whole time. This would have been a 5 star review if our situation would have been handled more professionally.

Im not one too post negative reviews regularly but my experience was poor. My bike delivery took past noon on the first day and then when I got home to check on the bike the kids trailer had one flat tire and the bike had one tire half flat. After calling multiple times (their voicemail was full) I spoke to a woman that kept advising that she was surprised that the bikes would be delivered like that since theyve been in the rental business for quite some time. I never really received an apology but that they would prorate the rental and deliver a new bike and make it their first drop off. Well I have not gotten any credit and the bike took until noon again. Tires had air in them but the pressures all mismatched. The bike itself and the trailer are of good quality and the person I spoke with originally for the rental was professional thus Im at least giving the 2 stars.I see many positive reviews so I am not sure why my experience was so poor. I can say that people on vacation dont want to deal with service like I received. It seems you need to start deliveries sooner if youre going to charge for a full day and bikes should not be sent out without making sure everything is correct on them. Im sure my experience may be a one off but I will not use again and will not recommend to others I know travelling in the area.

My wife and I had an overall excellent experience. We rented a tandem bike and it was well maintained. Great restaurants and small shops next to the rental shop makes picking up and dropping off even better. (If you do not get a tandem they deliver!) Highly recommend this business.

We loved our experience! After a very long drive, it was great arriving to our rentals already delivered. Wonderful customer service... we had a few issues and they were fixed quickly and efficiently. All products were high quality. At the end of our rental week, it was such a relief to not return products personally-- there is enough to worry about before heading home. Looking forward to working with them again on our next trip to HHI!!

Our family has rented bikes from Peddling Pelican Bike Rentals for over 20 years. We own property in Sea Pines and the bike shop is very close to our villa. I really like their brand of bikes. Bikes are sturdy, safe, stellar condition and a basket comes with each bike. Its nice to have the bike shop conveniently located in Sea Pines, if a bike needs maintenance (which is rare) during the week. Free delivery and pick up. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend PPBR to anyone staying in Sea Pines or on Hilton Head.

Excellent service. Peddling Pelican gave us a group discount. Their service was excellent. The bikes were there when we arrived and picked up when we left. We stopped at there main facility while on the island to pick up and extra bicycle basket. They were very customer service focus and No charge. We rented through SeaPines. No negotiating with them and they wanted to charge for extras. Peddling Pelican is our number one choice.

Great place to rent bikes from. I recommend getting a bike with the basket. The bikes came with locks. They were already at our condo waiting for us and you just lock them up when you leave and they will pick them up. You definitely need to rent bikes when staying in Hilton Head Island! Its a great way to get around.

We were staying in palmetto dunes and were looking to explore the area we called peddling pelican and got our bikes delivered to us. The prices were very reasonable and the service was outstanding. They not only rented us bikes to use in palmetto dunes but they allowed us to have access to their bikes why we were in Sea Pines at no extra charge. It is local business like this that will continue to make Hilton Head our Vacation destination.

We use Peddling Pelican every time we go to Hilton Head and they are always great. Weve never had any problems with them whatsoever. The bikes are waiting for us at the property weve rented when we arrive, and they come pick them up when were done. They provide sufficent number of locks and a basket for every bike. Weve never had a breakdown, the bikes always perform well, its just all good.

Whole I am personally not fond of single speed, coaster break bikes, their service and discount price (through our accommodations) was quite reasonable, especially considering you cannot bring bikes in to Sea Pines in the back of your truck.Nice service and quality workers.

Before moving to the island, we always rented from the Peddling Pelican. Their service is outstanding and everyone is so friendly. We still use them every time we have guests visit. I have found them to be very helpful with providing all sorts of rental needs. We rented pack-n-plays and booster seats from Peddling Pelican. They were waiting or us at the house when we arrived, and they picked them up at the end of the week...the items were spotless...service was great! Convenient, clean service is always 5 stars!

Always friendly, reliable and helpful! We have rented from Pelican every summer for at least 6 years running - with a family of 7 it says a lot. Staff is knowledgeable and always willing to insure complete customer satisfaction.

Be careful, if you leave their bikes unlocked even for a few minutes, they have right to repossess them, their drivers seem to be bonused for bringing in stray bikes. One of ours disappeared from our front step, only a few feet from our front door. We found the same bike later that day, already rented to another person, and they never told us. Wanted to dishonestly charge us the $100 missing bike fee, not good business practices in my opinion.

Pelican Cruisers are a fun part of our annual Hilton Head vacation routine.The convenience is seamless. Order online ahead of time and see the bikes in our yard when we get there, where we leave them when we leave. We have been using them for years.

We tried to rent from another rental place ahead of our vacation and it was more of an inconvenience than anything. This place was friendly and reasonable and made the experience very easy :)

The bikes were in good condition. However, the service was unprofessional and rather slow. The lady that helped us walked away from us mid-conversation several times. No information was provided to us...no instructions or options as we began the transaction. Poor communication and customer service for first time visitors. Called about returning bikes and the individual was very rude. Poor customer service!

One of my favorite things to do on the Island is pick up some bikes at Peddling Pelican in Sea Pines Center, ride to the Salty Dog and then get on the beach to the Sea Pines Beach Club (Usually down wind).The staff is Peddling Pelican is always on their game...the bikes are extremely well maintained and comfortable.

My family and I go to Hilton Head twice a year and we always use Peddling Pelican! The first time we used them we didnt call till we were down there and they were very busy but still got bikes to us! Ever since they went oput of their way to help us we have always used them but call before we go down to rent the bikes! They are all so nice and helpful! The bikes are always clean and have baskets on the front which is great for quick rides to the beach with just ur towel and sunscreen! Bikes are always delivered in time and picked up so we dont have to worry about trying to figure out how to pick up our bikes! When they drop them off they have them already sized to your height which is great because everyone in my family is all different heights and it would take us forever to figure out each bike seat for each person! Peddling Pelican always saves us time and worry while on vacation! My family will always use them!

Long lines and really bad service. They had one employee basically tending to customers needs, so expect to wait. One customer asked questions and they were completely ignored. They did not wipe the bikes off. Maybe the reviewers who had better experiences had a different crew.

Great service! We got stuck with a broken bike lock that would not open. Peddling Pelican came to the rescue within 10 minutes of our phone call.

When they used a dirty and greasy rag to wipe bird poop off the seat it should have been the first indication. We rented for the week and by day two I noticed grease spots on my cloths even though I was nowhere near the chain or other parts you would expect to be greasy.I called to speak to the manger and after waiting on hold was told the owned was not in and that he would call me back. The “office” is small so it seems obvious he was dodging my call when waiting on hold that long. This happened two other times with no response. I even tried their website. It has been over a month with no response so I am here to tell others to not ruin their clothing by renting bikes from Peddling Pelican.
