So happy with the service we received from Island Cruisers Bike Rental on Hilton Head Island. We ran into several issues during our stay. There was one less bike than expected, then we had a tagalong (childs bike and connector to adult bike) stolen and a flat tire within the 1st 2 days of our stay. Island Cruisers were fair and quick to respond to our needs. We had all our issues taken care of in less than a half hour each time. We appreciated how fast they were and understanding of our needs. Very good experience working with them. When we come back again, we will definitely get our bikes from them!!

I don’t like to write reviews, but these guys are great! I rented a bike with a seat for my daughter & when a morning delivery wasn’t available (July 4th weekend) Jason dropped it off a day early for us! He even called me to confirm the delivery address as I had gotten it wrong when ordering.They’ve made things so easy & have been great to work with! I would recommend them to anyone.
My family and I were just on HHI for a change of scenery. We rented bikes from Island Cruisers and they were delivered on time. Then we had a little stomach bug hit one of the kids so we didn’t get to ride like we wanted. I emailed Jason and told him what happened and he let us have the bikes for an extra day at no charge to get some last minute bike rides in before heading home. I will be recommending Jason and Island Cruisers to others.Thanks again Jason
I ordered bikes online from Island Cruisers over a month ago, however, didnt realize until this week ( just a few days before we arrive in HHI) that I never saw a confirmation. I immediately called and they confirmed that I had not completed my reservation online. Not only did they quickly process my request, but provided me a discount!! What amazing customer service!We look forward to biking around the island next week!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. RUDE AND DISHONEST.So I tried to rent a bike from this company and have it delivered to Hilton Head Plantation. The owner, Jason, called and informed me that they do not deliver into HH Plantation but that I could pick it up from the Bubbas Cabin Outfitter location and the code for the lock would be under the seat. When I arrived to pick up the bike, there was no code to unlock. I called several times and got no response. My mother, who the bike was rented for, went back the next day since I was at work. Again, no code and no answer to the phone. Finally after several calls my mother reached Jason, who proceeded to be extremely rude to her and accused her of lying when she said there was no code under the bike seat to unlock the chain. He even refused to refund the rental, even though the bike never even moved from the rack. It was only after arguing and being extremely rude to her did he say life is too short, have your refund and promptly hung up the phone. His extreme lack of professionalism and rudeness to customers has ensured that I will go to great lengths to ensure people know not to business with this company!Edit: After a long and angry response to my review (below) and a garbled voicemail I was not able to understand or hear well, I am adding this addendum to point out my issue with this company is not the bike rental service itself, but instead is with the appalling lack of customer service or even professionalism of the owner. The fact that he responds negatively by phone (my case) as well as via review response in long angry messages shows that for this individual, positive customer interaction is not a priority. There are several bike rental vendors on HHI, and it is up to the consumer to choose which one best suits their needs, but I can tell you from experience there are more customer friendly options than Island Cruisers.
Our bikes were reserved Mon-Fri. Received Mon 6pm. We called saying wed basically missed bike usage on Mon due to very late delivery (we were told delivered by noon) and could rental be extended to Sat. Absolutely. They were picked up Fri a.m. Called back and was told theyd be re-delivered...and now we wait. We always rent from Hilton Head Outfitters (5 yrs) but they were out of bikes. We will not rent from Island Cruisers again.
We were at Hilton Head island for the Thanksgiving holiday. We decided to rent bikes for the four of us, my wife, our two kids and myself. We decided for Island Cruisers because they were located very close from we were staying at.All went well, super friendly staff, and the bikes were left on time, just as they told us over the phone. They left us four locks, which we used at all times when not using them.The problem was the pick up day. We left HH Sunday morning to Miami, leaving the bikes in the same rack where they told us. I even took pictures of the four bikes and of the building where we left them, and sent them to know, just as courtesy, to be easier to find them. I didn’t have to do that.It was not until Monday morning that I received a call from them telling the bikes were not there, and asking where I had left the bikes and asking if they were locked. They were locked with the four locks, not like others in the place with one lock and the rest in the baskets. We used the four locks !Long story short, Jason, the manager, told me that in the picture the locks couldn’t be seen and that were not chopped locks on the ground, so they would have to charge $250 per bike...$1,000 in total !Despite having told Jason that the bikes were locked and that I received a call 24 hrs later from the pick up, instead of calling immediately when they noticed that the bikes were not where we left them, I was still being charged. That only I will get a refund if they find the bikes.Even we left the bikes clean, with no dust or sand, and locked ! I don’t think you can find many customers like me.This only tells me about their poor customer service, poor management and operations, and that if they were asking me if the bikes were locked and having told Jason that they were locked, they are still not believing me, taking advantage of a picture of the bikes, where unfortunately you can’t see the locks because of the angle of the picture.This is just unbelievable!
Uh Oh!!!! Be careful here! Although they are close and convenient...beware.My wife and I rented a bike here for a three week time period. They sure make it handy to get your money. Not realizing our unit had bikes for our use I asked for a refund of only 50%. Only had the bike 5 days. I thought that was fair. They were still making out. Owner says there are no refunds. Look at your reciept....NOTHING on the reciept states no refunds. No sign at the rental booth either. Owner said you have to look at the website. Sorry! Well, when you walk up to the worker and ask to rent a bike how the heck are you to know you have to look at the website first!I returned the bike anyway just to feel safe from any other liabilities that they come up with that isnt posted or stated....until you check the website! Do so at your own risk!!!Be sure to read other posts also!!!! The website isnt even on the reciept either!!!
Great Bikes and Great Service! Bikes were in great shape and delivered in less than an hour from when I ordered them. So much better than the usual, closer places to our home rental. Thanks and keep up the good work. We will definitely use your services when we return.
The bikes were fine other than one bike had some nasty grips. My issue was the rudeness I experienced. I have no idea how they stay in business talking to their customers the way they do. I will never do business with them again. And unless you dont mind being talked to like youre a second rate citizen then I would suggest you find another place to do business.**Edit** Since there is no obvious way to respond to the owners response I decided to edit my feedback. I never forgot about not locking my bike. I understand I made an innocent mistake. You give one lock per two bikes. When I took my bike down to the gas station to get a drink, I thought I had locked the other bike back but I obviously forgot to do it. Your bike boy wasnt very far away considering he returned the bike before I even left the bike rack area. In fact, when he left the bikes at the beginning they were only locked to each other in the corner of the bike area not even locked to the bike rack. So someone could have just walked away with two at a time. Regardless of my mistake, it doesnt give you the right to talk to me like Im a child. Specifically your bike boy opens our conversation with You West Virginians... as he is shaking his head. Like we West Virginians arent smart enough to work a lock. Bottom line is you and your bike boy talked to me in an unacceptable manner. There are so many other places to rent bikes. Places Im sure will talk to me like a man and not a child.
The only reason Im giving a star at all is because they did deliver the bikes we asked for when we asked for them. However, we will NEVER rent from Island Cruisers ever again! They attached the tandem ride along on the wrong adult bike, which meant our trailer for our two other children was also attached to the wrong bike. We went out to get on our bikes for a ride the morning after we arrived/ they were dropped off to find the cover for the trailer wadded up in a ball on the trailers seat. So the trailer was soaking wet inside because it rained the night before. Why on earth would you drop off a trailer without the cover protecting it?! When my five year old tried riding the tandem attached to my husbands bike it was wobbling all over the place. He almost got really hurt multiple times until my husband figured out that it wasnt attached properly and needed to be tightened. My husbands front tire was slightly bent and my handle bars were super old, peeling apart and sticky.When I left a message with my concerns, I said we would really appreciate a dry trailer and for our trailer and tandem to be switched to the correct bikes. Jason returned my call and left me a message, NOT ONE APOLOGY, literally said Im not sure exactly what you want us to do. I told you exactly what I would like, which honestly I shouldnt even have to ask for. It should have been offered immediately. Worse experience ever. I want my $200 back!We usually rent from a different rental place (thats way nicer and less expensive), we only switched this year because we booked too late and the bikes we needed werent available. This taught us! We will always book early enough now so Im never left renting from a place like this ever again.
They delivered a bike that didnt work. Then picked the bikes up a day early after I had paid to keep them an extra day. Dont waste your time or your money. Find another bike rental company.

Decent but won’t be coming back next year. Booked a week in advance and bikes never showed up on delivery day so we missed an evening and morning ride. Called them (albeit it was the next day before I reached someone since no after hours service) and they rushed out the next morning. Once we got the bikes, most of them were great with a couple minor exceptions. Customer service was lackluster.
There’s a road sign but doors are locked. Walked two miles and there’s no one there
I ordered four bikes for 10 days and it was a great experience. Booking was a very easy phone call.Bikes were in good shape and they were dropped of very quickly after the reservation was made. They arrived with locks and baskets too.The service and bikes were great. We are planning on coming back next year and this will be the first place I call. I would highly recommend it
We rented two bikes for one month. Awesome customer service and great prices. They delivered our bikes within minutes of placing our order. No charge for the helmet rental. Definitely would rent from them again. Very friendly staff

We rented 4 bikes for 3 days. The order process was straight forward. The bikes were delivered 30 minutes late but I was willing to over look that. The bikes rode well the first day. We went out to ride in the afternoon the 2nd day and noticed one of the bikes had a flat tire. It was 3:20 and the store closes at 4:00 so I quickly called to see if anything could be done since we had plans to ride our bikes around Hilton Head that evening. When I spoke to the staff member on the phone, he was quick to let me know that they would be closing soon and would only be able to deliver a bike the next morning. He did not apologize for the inconvenience and did not offer a discount even though I was only getting 2 days of riding out of the 3 days I paid for. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with his offer, he made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience and that it was my fault that I did not notice the flat tire until the afternoon (it had been raining on/off all day). He stated the customer is not always right. After expressing my disappointment with the service, he stated with a harsh tone that a new bike could be delivered within an hour. The bike arrived within 30 minutes and we were able to ride our bikes that afternoon. If you like to be put down when you call about an issue, this is the company to use. If you want to be treated with dignity and have your issues addressed with good customer service, I would not recommend this company.
Island Crusiers is the best! We rented from them in the spring and again in September. The last trip we changed our rental days 3 times, they were very accommodating and pleasant. We will always rent from them, and the best prices.

This place is not only great for renting bikes but has a wealth of knowledge for local food and fun! We rented 6 bikes for a week at a great price! Plus they delivered them right to our house! I can’t say enough about them!

Called to reserve a bike rental, they wont give u a time (random 8-4pm), you cant pick it up from them due to covid, they will not call when theyre headed over or when they drop the bike off, simply state you can go to someone else...horrible arrogant customer service

This is the second year in a row that we rented two bikes from Island Cruisers at a very reasonable price. This year there was a problem with one bike in the Publix parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. I called Island Cruisers and in less than ten minutes a new bike was delivered to me right there in the Publix parking lot. Great prices and great service!

We have purchased our bikes and have had them serviced them here go a number of years and had wonderful service.
We rented two bikes for one week, and we stopped by the place on a Thursday afternoon. Delivery took place still on the same day in the late afternoon. However, we were very surprised that the bikes were picked up on Thursday morning one week later even the rental agreement showed Friday as Pick-up date. After a lengthy discussion with the owner we were offered a free 2hr ride on the same day. Otherwise we need to pay an extra day. Therefore, we can not recommend the bike rental here.
Bikes were delivered timely. However they were average at best. Helmets were very worn and locks were junky & tempermental. Price was competitive. Won’t use them again.
Called on our way into town, the bikes were waiting for us upon our arrival. Easiest rental Ive ever made!
We went to try and find our bikes on the rentals the baskets were there but the bikes that we thought were sees had no way to unlock the bikes there was no code of anything
