I was a big fan of this salon a few years ago I’m not sure what happened but my last few visits were not good. I went to get a dip powder manicure about two weeks ago and it chipped within 5 days, when I went back she redid the entire thing for me because it was very clear it was not good and wasn’t going to last. I expected a discount or free of charge service (mind you I spent $90+tip my first visit) but no- she charged me full price and gave me a $10 coupon. I was very annoyed but she insisted this manicure would last, fast forward one week later and it’s even worse! I’ve spent over $150 within two weeks and my nails are a wreck. I’m not impressed and not sure if I even would spend money here again to use the coupon or have them fix it. Very unsatisfactory service
I’ve been coming to Luxi for 5 years because it’s the best salon in town. I get the best pedicures from Dora and from Maria. They make my feet and legs feel like new! I get the best manicures from Susan. I used to get just gel but I’ve upgraded to fills and designs off Pinterest. Susan always “nails” the design! When Susan is on vacation I can count on the lovely Eunice to take care of me. Sandy gives a great massages! The whole staff is really nice and helpful! This is a higher end salon and the prices are moderate. They work really hard and I’m pleased to show it with 20% tips and the occasional gift
My sister and I went to Luxi today to get a full set and pedicure. My sister goes there religiously for her pedicures, so I decided to join her today because she is getting married tomorrow. My pedicure took 28 minutes from start to finish. The fastest pedicure of my life? I was told the removal of the gel polish on my toes was $10 which was fine so we proceeded. We both got regular pedicures. Mine came to $40 hers was $30. We both got a full set and I got some jewels on my ring finger that equaled $70 bringing my total to $110. My sister got a short to medium length nail with some glitter polish on the tips bringing her total to $85. We were perplexed as to why it was so much and were then told she was charged $10 for the shape and $10 for the glitter bringing her grand total to $115. Luxi you KNOW yall are tripping. You just lost a loyal client and I will also never return. We tipped very well too.
RECOMMEND 10/10! Right when I had entered i knew i had made an excellent choice, the staff was joyed to have a new costumer, the salon is also way cleaner then others and follows a lot of the safety rules of COVID. The lady who did my nails, Eunice, was so nice and did a really great job in general, and the lady who did my pedi, Dora, was really precise and looked great. I don’t usually treat myself but i will definitely come to Luxi again and again, and you should too! Loved it. xoxo
My girlfriend always talks highly about this place! her nails always look great too. nice job luxi.
Ive been going here for years! The have working massage chairs, the service is always good!
Very nice nail salon, relaxing atmosphere. Standard pricing and the pedicure was also straightforward. Jennifer did my manicure and she made me feel like I could ask for whatever I wanted. Im not usually shy about getting nail design, but without fail the nail technician usually makes me feel bad for asking or as if its a burden. This was the first time I felt encouraged to ask, and I got exactly what I wanted as a result. Only had my nails done here once, but it was standout service that deserved to be recognized.
Maria and Dora will take the necessary time to make sure your experience and nails look are the best! Please, tip well!
My nails and toes came out great and had an awesome experience there overall. would definitely come again!
Everything you wish for you nail needs. Unlike other local salons, Luxi is extremely clean, spacious, works without appointments and friendly. I got a special student pedicure and a manicure with free couple of minute shoulder rub. The gel manicure has lasted for over 2 weeks even after cleaning and dishwashing every day. Just didnt get the hands soaked on water before the manicure, which they usually do in other nail salons.
Great service! My go to lady is Jennifer! She is wonderful at her art. Everyone else here is great and you are going to leave loving every bit of your experience getting your nails done here. Highly recommend
Great selection of colors. workers are polite and also very kind. this place is great to have a relaxation and a great manicure or/and pedicure! good prices for a very nice atmosphere and salon. I greatly recommend this place to get your nails done!!
Had a great experience at this nail salon, very much worth the price. I laughed & enjoyed myself while being taken care of. not a long wait & my nails came out exactly I wanted them
I have been here before. The services used to be top notch but has gone downhill since. Im very happy at the Luxi in Somerset now.
I’ve been going to this salon for the past year and they generally do a good job with my gel manicures. This salon is a bit pricey but they offer a student special that makes a gel manicure $30 instead of $40. Today I went to get my nails done and they told me that there was no special today even though I’ve been consistently coming on Saturdays for months. On top of that the employees are very rude and I’ve had multiple experiences where I’ve witnessed them being unaccommodating and short with their customers. I will not be going back there and they will not be receiving anymore of my money.
This place has very good colors, and the employees did a very good job. Very good service.I highly recommended this salon. Best nail salon I ever went too.
This was my first time here and left very disappointed. I asked for an acrylic nail fill in with gel color no design...$50 with the tip included! The nail color chipped 4 days later. I have been to other locations and paid $28 for the same service and the nails last 5 weeks! You would think paying $50 the experience would be extraordinary. Never again. Go to Blooms next door. Cheaper prices nails last at least 5 weeks!
Writing this review isn’t easy because my nails look great but there were a few things that left a bad taste in my mouth. First, there is a student discount but it only applies to students under the age of 23. They should name the discount something else unless they decide to offer it to all students.Second, the staff made me feel somewhat uncomfortable during the experience. They did not seem welcoming or open. However, that was my perception. Take that with a grain of salt. Finally, and this was what changed my rating from a low 4 to a 2.5, was that the technicians shook me down for an extra tip despite me initially giving them 20%. I was already a little disappointed about not receiving the student discount but my nails came out well so I was pretty satisfied until the tipping incident. I was definitely considering going again but I was very much turned off by that.Overall, your nails will look nice but be prepared to pay a good chunk of change and defend yourself against less than desirable business practices/customer service. I plan on finding another place with affordable prices and a more welcoming/trustworthy staff.
Just left the salon and will absolutely never return. I usually go to the Nail Boutique down the road but they were busy and I was in a rush (tbh I should have just waited because they are 100000% worth the wait).I asked for a pedicure and when I approached the back of the room, not one employee offered me direction. I had to ask several times where to sit. The chair/foot bath was not prepared prior to me sitting down (which isn’t a huge deal) but there were like 8 employees sitting on their phones - they could have at least help set up.The nail tech did a really bad job on my paint job. I got a light color which should have required at least three coats. She did two and called it a day.As I sat down to dry, she demanded that I pay now. $25 for a pedicure isn’t bad but in all honesty, Nail Boutique does SOOO MUCH MORE for the same price. She came back after about ten minutes of drying, grabbed my feet and aggressively applied oil?? I wasn’t even sure what was happening.A beautiful salon but such a shame that the service sucks. Do yourself a favor and go to Nail Boutique!!!!
I had the worst experience here, I honestly wish I could give 0 stars. I went and they had almost no customers yet everyone was very rude and acted like taking me was a huge hassle. I never write reviews but honestly I just wanted a nice relaxing experience and that was the opposite of what I received. My nail technician was nasty and unaccommodating, telling me that she would not get the nail color i wanted because it would look bad on me. This is the last time i will be visiting this salon and i highly suggest for others to not waste their time or money here.
The salon is big and clean, Prices are so good! There is a wide color selection and they massage you through your mani and pedi. You will leave feeling relaxed, and nails on point! I highly recommend this place.
My time there was very amazing!!
GREAT SERVICE ! Everyone is amazing, Susan did a great job while Jennifer and eunice was providing great hospitality .Yaya :)
They do good work. Prices are fair. Ive been going here for a long time and I havent been disappointed.
It’s an awesome place!! The employees are nice...there is a variety of different colors of nail polish.I will go to this salon anytime!!
Great place for a relaxing spa treatment!!! I usually go to Hannah for my gel manicure and Alma for my pedi they are both awesome ! I HIGHLY recommend them. Very clean place, sterilized tools for each customer and hot rock massage with each pedicure. Its always an amazing experience. Gel mani can easily last 3weeks without chipping and Im constantly washing my hands at work.
I enjoyed my experience here. Very clean and friendly staff and great color selection. Grace did my pedicure. The only reason I didnt give them a 5 star is because the woman who did my mani (not sure of the name) didnt give me a shoulder rub/massage. It seems to come standard with their mani package and everyone else in the salon got one except me.
Horrible! I got a manicure with a lady by the Hannah. She refused to clean under my nails after my bringing it to get attention several times. She never soaked my nails. Told me I had dark polish on so it wasnt necessary. Told me if I wanted clean nails go home and take a shower. I spoke to the owner who went on to tell me Hanna said she cleaned my nails and argue with me about it. As if I needed to lie. I already had paid so it wasnt a question of not wanting to pay. After more discussion she finally agreed to remove the polish and clean them. As she cleaned my nails Hannah continued to be rude. NEVER will they get service from me again.
I am usually not the one to write a review ever but my recent experience at Luxi Nails and Spa in Highland Park, NJ called for it. I have been going to Luxi Nails consistently for almost two years now because I liked the product and how long my gel manicure last. Unfortunately the last three experiences led me to never return to this Luxi Nails salon ever again.First of all the owner of the salon has segregated her employees. The Spanish employees are only allowed to do pedicures while the Koreans employees sit at their tables and do the gel manicure, regular manicures, and acrylic nails. The owner is also Korean and honestly speaking, the Spanish employees are better in their work ethic and the time they take to make sure the customer is happy. The second to last time I went to do my nails, a Korean employee did my gel manicure. She did a horrible job causing my nail polish to bubble just two days after I went to do my nails. This had never happened to me before. Unfortunately I did not have time to go back and do my nails again until three weeks after. When I returned and complained about it, the owner and the employee that did my nails did not say anything, not even a sorry.Today I called to make an appointment for myself and mother to get a pedicure and gel manicure for my mothers birthday. I requested a certain employee to do our pedicure and gel manicures and the owner said that that employee could not do my gel manicure because she was only assigned to do pedicures. I asked her to please allow the employee to do my nails since I had a horrible experience the last time I went to do my nails there. The owner then said if I didnt like the service then I could go somewhere else and then ended the conversation by saying that she was too busy to talk.I couldnt believe that the owner would treat her customers like this. I would not recommend going to this Luxi Nails!!! They do not care or value their customers. All they care about is $$$$. Please find somewhere else where you will feel valued and feel satisfied with the service you received and deserve!!
Loved this place. Really good nail service! Highly recommended
I dont go here frequently but I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. That being said, the service and quality of work these past couple of years has gone downhill. I had my nails done on 4/11/19 in the evening and the nail technician did a terrible job. She even put me in a lot of pain trying to push back my cuticles and file my nails. I had a mani/pedi done and throughout the process she was so distracted and kept texting on her phone. In the past Ive tipped the workers well because I know they are underpaid and they do a good job, but the last two times I tipped them a small amount. I will not be going back to this nail salon.
Ive been a satisfied customer for almost a year but sometimes it takes one employee to make you never go back. Unfortunately, i dont know her name. But you might figure her out by her facial expression of hating her job. I asked her to redo the shape of my nails and she started talking across the salon to a lady, who i believe is an owner of this place, in a language i couldnt understand, pointing at me while expressing her discontent by giving me an evil eye. I eventually had to ask if she didnt want to do her job so i could go to someone else. First time I didnt leave a tip and dont feel bad about it.
This salon destroyed my nails. Lady RIPPED OFF my acrylic nails. I never get my nails done, so a while ago I got beautiful acrylics from Bloom down the street. When I went to get them removed at Luxi, the tech (if I should even call her that) RIPPED MY NAIL OFF COMPLETELY. I didnt know anything about acrylic removal; this was my first time getting it done. They destroyed my nail and it was very painful. When I said it hurt, she just moved on to ripping off the next nail. It was only when I got home and did research that I learned youre never supposed to rip off acrylic nails, and instead should soak them. Silly me for thinking a nail salon with professionals would treat me better instead of trying to get me out of there quick and dirty. Lesson learned. I paid $15 dollars for someone to destroy my nails, without even the courtesy of nail oil. Dont go here, people. Rude service and careless techs. Should have gone to Bloom.
My staple! Conveniently located and great work!
Super overpriced. $65 for gel mani & reg pedicure. they were rude too.
Great place!
I love Luxi.... They are so nice and friendly there. I would highly recommend this place.
Great work and super relaxing...Has nice back massage with the chair for their pedicure.
Service was just ok...I guess I could have rated 2 stars. Its been a while since Ive been here.
No appointment necessary. Excellent service and great selection.
Its a great place for a regular pedicure but when it comes to acrylic nails they go over board, they can be very expensive but the place is clean and the workers that have done my pedicures take their time
Rude, talks and laughs at customers and overcharges if you dont pay attention to price board...
Really happy with me gel pedicure
The best gel manicures!
Terrible management, poor service and worst place. Many other nail salons in town. Dont go to this one.
Absolutely the beat for a pedi
Good place
