We have been here a few months and had to call maintenance about 3 times they cam out quickly. We called about wasps around our front door and someone was out the next day. Some of my family have medical issues and management is doing what they can to accommodate us. Maintenance are friendly and helpful.

All of the office staff (Stacy, Chi-Chi, and Katie), are very friendly, helpful, kind and responsive to resident needs or concerns. Response time is quick and effective. Additionally, any maintenance needs have been addressed quickly and professionally. I trust all of the staff at Laurel Ridge to provide resident assistance when needed. Kudos to them all for their excellent customer service!

All of the advertised amenities have unaccessible hours. Though the sign for the workout room says 6am to some time late in the evening, they really open at 9 and close by 2 and thats if the faculty actually wakes up in time to open at 9. The front desk is unaccessible by phone, they have a line for new incoming residents which Im sure they answer but the other option for anything else never works. The rooms are decent but pest control is non existent and maintenence is required on something weekly.. for your own sake look somewhere else

Over priced, clueless staff, snow and ice removal is a joke, maintenance is highly unprofessional. My advice is have your lease in hand any time you talk with the office because they will happily make stuff up that isn’t in your lease. Be at your apartment when maintenance or contractors are there because they will mess with your belongings and the rental office won’t do anything about it even if you report it. Oh, and good luck with billing, they will nickel and dime you with ridiculous charges like a “processing fee” when you try to pay your rent. Overall, just avoid this complex.

I’ve lived at this complex for a few years now, and it’s nothing like when I first moved in. Ever since the new management took over; any complaints made are not properly addressed. Employees sit in the office doing nothing on their phones. Their incompetent maintenance team lost the key to my home, upon learning I had no intent of handing over my other key to them(so they could lose that as well) they insinuated I had changed the locks without permission. All so they wouldn’t be held accountable. There is mold in several buildings. Right after I moved in things started falling apart. A Ceiling fan blade literally flew across the room upon turning it on only to notice it was held in place by tape; as are a number of the blinds to my sliding glass door . Anytime maintenance is called the issue resurfaces soon after. I’ve had them fix my thermostat almost 4 times which took over 3 hours each time; running in and out of my home. Some units such as mine, encounter a wasp problem every spring/summer. Don’t even try to call the office no one will answer. A number of people come here to public dump their trash,(even with threats of a $500.00 fine) that’s about all this place is good for. The raises in rent for no valid reason are ridiculous. I can’t in my right mind recommend this place to anyone.

WARNING: DO NOT LIVE HERE. The prices may be lower than others in the region...but that is for a REASON. Maintenance is terrible. The leasing office is dreadful to work with, and quite rude. Very little notice before entering homes and incredibly unprofessional when they do. The trash situation is is laughable and they allow residents to just pile trash up along dumpsters when they are full, and no one ever cleans it up. Absolutely disgusting. If I could rate this place 0/5 stars I would.

New owners are refusing to let tenants decorate tastefully inside/windows and outside of their apartment. They are prisoners and are paying rent. Its ridiculous. Especially during a pandemic where people that have mental illnesses are now more depressed and cant express themselves by decorating!! Id give ZERO stars if it would let me.

So after having a new management company take over the Village, I made it clear that we had issues with maintenance staff letting themselves into our home, we were not comfortable with it for many reasons (one major reason being we have uncrated dogs living in our home) and because of that avoided getting minor things in our home fixed, but our dryer broke and we were going to need to make an appointment for someone to come look at it. This broke into an immediate feud between us and the entire office staff at the Village. Apparently it is their policy to let their maintenance staff walk themselves into anyone’s home and I received an insane amount of attitude and disrespect for asking them to not do that. After this I contacted a couple departments across PA and some attorneys to make sure my feelings were valid, and I found out that what they are doing is greatly illegal. After finding this out I contacted them again informing them I talked to an attorney and they’re breaking the law. They continued to tell me they were not breaking the law and since I threatened them with a lawyer I am no longer allowed to communicate to the office directly but “my lawyer will have to speak to theirs”. Now this is troubling since we had also asked for the grass immediately outside our home to be cut regularly since their staff skips multiple weeks in between cutting the grass there, for the trash around the parking lots/grass area to be regularly cleaned up since it flies out of the dumpster all the time and is just left there, and for the glass surrounding our dumpster that my dog had gotten stuck in his paw to be cleaned up. This was weeks and weeks ago that we brought these issues to the office’s attention, not to mention we complained about the glass around the dumpsters three separate times, and not a single thing has been done about any of the issues. I would like to follow up with the office but was told I am not allowed to communicate to them directly. And the kicker? They had the audacity to see my review here and respond to it. But I’m not allowed to contact them about dangerous concerns immediately surrounding our home. Nice. The Village of Laurel Ridge literally is the most immature, petty, unprofessional, greedy, lazy, ignorant office I’ve ever had to deal with.

The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. The kids in the neighborhood are very polite. The land is kept clean and the leasing office staff always greets me with a smile, and helps me with whatever I need. They are also very pet friendly. I would be able to bring my pup in to the office and they would greet him and offer him a treat. I absolutely loved living here and recommend it to anyone.

Physically its ok but the walls are very thin. As far as the Leasing Office. Very unprofessional. Their response time to maintenance work is not very prompt. You report a problem and your lucky if you get it resolved in a week. I also experience them coming into my home without them leaving a note stating if they fixed anything which is not good. If ANYONE comes in your home they need to leave a note stating they was there. The Manager is very condescending about any issues you bring to the table. Almost like they dont care at all. For the amount you pay for this property their should be excellent service and maintenance. I will not be renewing.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was amazing before the management changed all around. We had mold in our unit and have complained several times and it was shrugged off until I threatened to contact the mother company and lawyers, then it was taken care of, I guess. We decided to not renew our lease, oh and the rent increases 4% every year no matter what and they just started charging for trash on top of it-which was included beforehand. We moved out and gave them contact info and the new address for any additional costs (even though the mold damaged our personal items that I had to replace out of my own pocket) and we didnt get ANY notification until it was already in collections. This is VERY poorly mishandled and unfair treatment. The leasing office had no explanation that even remotely explained why the process is this way.

I have lived at the Encore at Laurel Ridge for the past year, and during this time, I have not experienced any problems with the building construction. I have not had issues with noise from neighbors because living in the townhouse feels like a single family home. The property is kept clean with regular daily maintenance. The management staff is very professional and responsive to my needs. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking an upscale and superior housing environment.

After looking at the apartment we liked, and completing the application online, we’ve been calling and calling and emailing, leaving messages and NO one gets back to us. We had to go in person again to check on the status of the application, they told us we were approved BUT we were not able to sign the contract because of some technical issues but it was going to be solved the next day. We’ve been calling and calling, and emailing AGAIN, and nothing. Terrible customer service!

I moved here from RI in August 2017. I did not come see the property prior to moving. Cathy rocked as my leasing agent. She truly went above and beyond sending me photos of the actual unit with views before our moving in. She was in communication with us every step of the way. It was as if I already had a friend in PA awaiting our arrival. The office staff will do everything they possibly can to welcome you and make your move effortless. The maintenance team is also amazing. So glad I found The village of Laurel Ridge in my online search.

Unprofessional and underhanded company! For as much as they charge (both before and after you leave), you could find a much better place in better condition. Our apartment flooded on more than one occasion and their response was that they couldn’t be expected to keep all their buildings up to code. Once we moved out we checked our account to make sure we didn’t owe anything additional and were told everything was settled, but while we may have a partial water payment needed, they would forward the bill to us if that was the case. They were left with my phone number, email, and address of where I was moving to and I received no communication until 5 or 6 months later when a collections agency sent us a letter saying we owed Laurel Ridge ~$500 and they dinged my credit report. They made no effort to contact me and claimed they sent a bill to an address that I lived at before I rented from them (which was the first indication that something shady was going on). Apparently, they forgot to tack on the pet fee onto the rent and charged for both that and a pet deposit (which was paid). Since the rent was set up for automatic payments, I assumed they were charging everything correctly considering I never received notice otherwise. I submitted my bills, payments, and even noted the payment for the pet deposit that was already cashed before initially moving into Laurel Ridge, none of it mattered and they continued to harass for money or face legal action from the collections agency. Driving 1+hours to and from a full time job does not give me much free time to deal with a legal court battle, so the payment was made (including paying the pet deposit a 2nd time).A few friends found out the news before signing leases with Laurel Ridge so I hope the company enjoys what little money they grifted instead.*Update July 2019*3 months after they posted that theyd look into my concerns and no contact or attempts to fix the issue have been made. This is basically what I expected and is all too telling of their business practices.

This is a really nice place to live. I can be anywhere I want to be in 10-20 minutes. The property is located off Rt. 39. It is close enough to be on Interstate 81-83 in 5-10 minutes, but not to hear the highway noise. There is a Giant grocery store/gas station that is two miles away. There is a fitness center at no extra charge. The property features walking trails/sidewalks and there is a playground. Grounds are well-maintained, as are the housing units. When it snows, they plow about 5 or 6 am, and if you go out, and move your car, they will clear your parking space. When I have a maintenance request, it is usually resolved in about 24 hours. The team is very safety conscious and installed a fire stop above the kitchen stove. There is a new Safety Upgrade program underway now, with improved outside lighting. There is a swimming pool for the summer months. There have been recent upgrades, including a dog park, a sports court, and a putting green. There is a new share bikes system. Also soon to come is a package locker for safe deliveries like for Amazon packages. The school bus stop is in front of the Community Center. This would be a great place to live esp if you have kids. There is a sense of community here, and neighbors know and help each other. I cannot say enough about the staff. There is a new team here since about December 2019. The Office Team, led by Stacy, with ChiChi and Kait, are quick to respond to emails, texts and calls. There is good team work and they really care about making this a good place to live. Ian, Austin and Nate, the Maintenance Team, give prompt and complete service. You can pay your rent online and put in maintenance requests online, so that is really convenient. But enough details. What you really need to know is this apartment complex is definitely the best value in this area. Welcome, New Neighbors!!!

Renter beware- they will come after you for money they mishandle or fail to bill you once you move out. They wont contact you to get it either, they just send the debt (legitimate or not) to a collection agency. We have had several issues with the apartment in which they fixed the problem but were very rude and dismissive of us. The apartments are old, and despite having a nice coat of paint and some newer looking flooring, there are serious underlying problems with the buildings. We were blatantly told by management that they couldnt be expected to keep up with housing codes.

I moved in here a few months ago. I looked at the layouts of all the different units but not nearly close enough at the apartment itself. In fact, I looked at an apartment with the same layout as mine but not mine specifically. On the day I got my key I went in to see the maintenance guy frantically trying to put a band aid on a bullet wound. He did his best with the resources given to him but he was a few thousand dollars short on his budget. I had to bring my own refrigerator because the one in my 2 bedroom apartment was small enough I could look down on it and Im only 59. All of the appliances are dated. The painter painted over drywall patches without sanding them and even over some nails without removing them. He dropped paint all over the baseboard. He painted over grease spots without priming them so they show through. The ductwork rattles all night. Especially since the neighbor upstairs sets the bass box for his surround sound right on my ducts. The light fixtures in the kitchen and bathers installed improperly. They fixed one of the two after a trouble call for both. the bifold doors in the bedrooms are installed wrong so they catch a screw every time I try to close them. I got tired of putting them back on track so I just leave them open now. Several of the outlets were so old they wouldnt even hold a plug. Maintenance did fix them. The water overflows the drain for the washer and floods the floor. I put in a troubled call and was told nothing was wrong even though you can clearly see the wall behind the drain has been saturated several times. The handles on the shower were installed improperly so they pull away from the surround. This allows water to get behind the surround. I put in a trouble call and they sent maintenance in with the old caulk gun because fixing it right isnt in the budget. none of the cable in the bedrooms was hooked up. The 1950s vanity mirrors are so low you have to be about 55 to see yourself without kneeling down. and the light cover was rigged up so I wouldnt notice it was broken upon move in. The grass rarely gets mowed and the neighbors dont clean up after their dogs so I cant see what Im stepping in when I walk my dogs. All of the single pane windows were painted shut when I moved in. Im glad I checked my daughters room before there was a fire. It will cost me $2000 to buy out of my lease which Ill have to do before my daughter starts her new school year. Theres nowhere quiet enough to study in my 1600+ square foot apartment. I can hear the neighbors TV and video games throughout because there doesnt appear to be any, or at least not sufficient, insulation between the 2 floors so I would be paying to heat 3200 square feet all winter. Im sure Im missing some things but I need to go soak up the water around the washer that nothing is wrong with.
