I lived at Addison for three and 1/2 years, and I enjoyed my time at the community. There were some maintenance issues in the beginning, but the staff remedied these problems very quickly. The location is within walking distance of Peninsula Town Center which has great restaurants, bars, and shops. Im only leaving because the Navy is making me transfer to the West Coast. A staff member I would like to thank is Miriam Soriano for helping me with a very smooth check out process. I highly recommend Addison for great living units and a helpful, professional staff.
I learned a lot living here. My partner and I have been here a few years. The staff are wonderful and professional. At one point I had been given false information and gave completely unfair judgment to the value of the apartments. Never once did they retaliate and were even helpful in insuring we received the best value and immediately fixed things without question. Honestly may be the best service experience of my life. Im convinced the Addison team cant be beat.
Really great place to live definitely recommend way better price to quality of living ratio compared to other places around. Work orders get addressed the next day usually, never disappointed.
Love living here! Awesome location
Ive been here for a little over a month now--whenever I move out, my review may change a bit.I mostly like my experience here--LOVE that my place has a huge balcony. Front staff is nice enough (shoutout to Xavier hes the realest).Only complaint so far is this: THE WALLS HERE ARE SOOO THIN. Youll hear all your neighbors business. Their gossip, their drama, their primetime tv stories, and yes--even THAT business. Which means--they will probably hear all ya business too. So tread lightly.Other than that, its a chill and reasonably-priced place and everyone here seems nice enough and mostly keep to themselves. Parking is easy to find, although not always right in front of your building. Maintenance is pretty quick, although itd be nice if they gave us more heads-up when theyre getting ready to come to the apartment. Cant wait till the summer amenities (pool, grill) open up.
Horrible and horrible apartment complex!!!!!Apartments gets broken and vandalized constantly. Be careful with leasing agreement they will make you to pay even if you paid everything after moving out. Dishonest apartment manager and all employees.I lived for 3 years and that is the worse apartment complex in Hampton road aria.No basic security. Nasty, and nasty.Would NOT recommend at all.
My A/C unit cut out right when the temperatures were in the 80s. I have a condition that makes me more at-risk to passing out if I overheat. This was the first time Id had anything go wrong, but they had my system fixed in no time at all. Even offered to bring out a portable unit until the repairman could come check it out.The last time my A/C cut out at my FORMER residence, it took two weeks to repair, I had to stay with a friend, (was essentially displaced without notice or compensation) and then came home to a house full of flies because the maintenance guy left my window open. Its comforting to know that I will NOT experience that type of treatment here. The staff here can be very by the book which may rubs some folks the wrong way, but personally I appreciate their clean-cut style.
It took me awhile to write this review because I didnt want to be mean but objective in my review. Let me begin by saying Im writing this on behalf of a family member who can no longer provide a review because they are now dead. That being said my dealings with the office staff was always professional. The maintenance personnel tended to the issues in a timely manner. My main issue is my family member lived in this complex for six years. During that time she was never late on her rent and never had any problems or complaints. Unfortunately, she suffered an illness in January of this year. Her second floor apartment was no longer suitable for her and because she was four months into her new lease they would not release her without penalty. Let that sink in for a minute. The solution was to move her to a first floor apartment that was wheel chair accessible. NOT!!!! Of course we couldnt see the apartment because it was occupied. Reluctantly, with no other recourse after updating the necessary paperwork we entered the first floor apartment which was so small the wheel chair could not fit in the bathroom. The apartment was suitable for a single young healthy person not a senior citizen, recently disabled in a wheelchair. I dont want to prolong this review the bottom line is you will do OK in this complex as long as your health remains good and life doesnt hand you any unforeseen issues. If youre not military do NOT expect to get out of your lease unless you die. There is NO compassion. The only other complaint I have is there is only ONE dumpster in the entire complex which is not favorable if you live on the far end of the complex or dont want to put your trash in your vehicle. Addison when you know better it is my prayer you will do better. Its not always about the dollar.
This is my personal experience and opinion on the apartment unit i have had here. These apartments seem good at the offset, but when you move in you quickly learn otherwise. The apartments have thin walls which in reality means you hear EVERYTHING happening nearby. The people up or downstairs? You can hear their TV perfectly in many instances. The person driving by on Colosseum Drive? You can hear the music in their car easily. You can hear the conversations other people are having next-door easily and Im 100% certain they arent being loud, and if you walk past their unit you can hear them perfectly through their units door.Because of this the new neighbors that move in will frequently noise complaint you until they realize the sound suppression is very poor.In addition to this the apartments feel very old. The walls have popcorn paint on the walls in many of the units Ive visited. The appliances are also either 1, old or 2, poor quality. For example: the dishwasher in many units (according to me asking around and personal experience) simply does not wash your dishes. EVEN if you soak them beforehand. Get used to washing by hand. The clothes washer and dryer is also a very old, small, and inefficient unit, and the water heater tank is abysmally small. It will only have enough hot water to fill a bath tub halfway. The office staff is nice, but do not respond well. The maintenance team is very friendly and are one of the highlights of this complex.I have not had a chance to go to the amenities for a large portion of my lease due to the COVID shutdown (the amenities were one of the deciding factors for this complex) and they have also offered no compensation for this.I just moved out recently as of posting this review, these opinions are based on the 2020 year and the standards they had put forward in my time here. Again, this is my opinion.
Was looking at this place this week. They were very professional and answered all my questions.
I looked at these apartments this week. Very nice. The property manager was awesome, answered all of our questions and didn’t rush us through the process.
Ive lived here for three years. I enjoy the staff, the maintenance crew are nice and respectable. The leasing team are friendly, attentive and courteous. I have great neighbors in my building. We look out for one another. We speak and know one another by name. The pool is great in the summer and we have access to the business center/gym 24/7. The courtesy officer makes living here feel extra safe. Im glad to call this place home.
Addison Luxury Apartments is a great place to call home. The grounds are well-maintained and maintenance response to orders within 8 hours. Also, the leading consultant staff are professional and competent.
I’ve been at Addison since November and have enjoyed living here. The staff is great. The maintenance team responds quickly and gives the perception that they truly care. They quickly fixed several minor issues I’ve had. The washer and dryer both work well. I’ve never had an issue with hot water and the water pressure is amazing! The gym is huge for an apartment and has more than enough equipment for any kind of work out. The refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher all work well. Sabrina and Taylor in the leasing office have all gone above and beyond for me multiple times and are amazing! I’ve considered moving somewhere cheaper when my lease is up, but I know the value between the gym, amenities, wonderful leasing office and maintenance team won’t be met. I’d recommend anyone looking for a new home to highly consider Addison Apartments.
I have never been a fan of moving. The constant packing & unpacking, paperwork and stress of a new environment is one of the least enjoyable parts of life, but the folks over in the leasing office at this complex made moving in as painless as possible. They were always quick to answer the phone whenever I had a question, and always followed up with me whenever they didnt have an immediate answer. They were also very clear and concise when it came to explaining the policies of the complex. Very kind and caring staff, thanks for all the help :)
Addison at Hampton is one of the best places I’ve lived, and it’s mostly because of the amazing leasing team.Taylor, Sabrina, and the maintenance team go above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I am the type of person who asks a million questions. And with that being said, there never goes a day where I leave the leasing office confused or unsatisfiedI highly recommend this place for individuals or families who prioritize comfortable and safe living.
My roommate and I love the place, it a great place to live with great facilities. We moved in October 2013 and have no complaints. The staff is very courteous, helpful, friendly and a pleasure to talk too. Maintenance requests are handled promptly. Great fitness center and conveniently located. Addison is wonderful community to live in and 100% satisfied.
Just moved in a week ago and I already love this place! The leasing office is beyond friendly and they made my move in process seamless, can’t thank them enough! :)
My experience so far has been awesome! The maintenance staff is very efficient and the leasing staff is amazing! Taylor, Sebrina, Justina are so helpful and has made my experience here comfortable! I just renewed my lease for another year and couldnt be happier!
The property manager was really great to work with!
Not safe. They paint over mold here. 5 Star reviews are fake. Great location!
The people who live her are all young professionals, which makes this place even more enjoyable. NO DRAMA! Its extremely quite for its location, and this place is located next to anything you may need. The best part, I think, is the staff her. everyone is so willing to help with any questions I may have. The maintenance staff always goes above and beyond One thing does stand out, being that I am a customer service developer for a large company,is its very easy to see the trust and comradery the team has for one another and the level of respect displayed between all of them and most importantly the tenants living here. Ive lived many places and this is by far the best property, in regards to customer service. Being in the field I am, I can only assume, the manager must be leading by example and setting the expectations to have such a strong team working together as they do. I have visited the office numerous times, and on every occasion everyone I encounter greets me with the same respect I would greet my own family. The managers door is always open, which tells me, if i needed to, she is available, that speaks volumes to a person like me that hold customer service to a high degree. It;s apparent a tight ship with a lot of pride is being ran here. At the end of my day, I thoroughly enjoy coming home for all of the above reasons as well as many more. The only Con to living here is the homes are a little dated, but perfect for someone to just relax. That is the only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars. My top three suggestions would be, longer pool hours, updated homes, and more then one trash area.
I toured this place recently, and it is a great community, the ladies in the office know their stuff! The apartment I toured was in good shape and had a lot of natural light, which is hard to get in an apartment. I am still shopping around but this place is top of my list.
I’ve been at Addison since March and have enjoyed living here. It’s my 6th apartment and has the best staff I’ve experienced. The maintenance team responds quickly and gives good notice. About a month after I moved in a noticed a small hole in the floor in the kitchen. I was nervous I’d be charged for flooring when I moved out since I didn’t put it on my move in sheet, and told the staff about it. They put a request in for me and within a week had replaced the damaged part of the floor for me. They put notices on the door for scheduled maintenance with plenty of time to prepare if needed (they change the air filters and clean behind the dryer). They also quickly fixed several other minor issues I’ve had. The washer and dryer both work well. I’ve never had an issue with hot water and the water pressure is amazing! The gym is huge for an apartment and has more than enough equipment for any kind of work out. The refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher all work well. Justina, Sabrina, and Taylor in the leasing office have all gone above and beyond for me multiple times and are amazing! I’ve considered moving somewhere cheaper when my lease is up, but I know the value between the gym, amenities, wonderful leasing office and maintenance team won’t be met. I’d recommend anyone looking for a new home to highly consider Addison.
Excellent place to live! The staff is kind and extremely helpful. Maintenance requests are followed up either same day or next day. Apartments are well maintained. Many apartment options to choose from. Awesome location (close to major routes). Military friendly (only 7-8 minutes away from Langley AFB). The rates are some of the best in the area. Beautiful pool and BEAUTIFUL 24/7 clubhouse gym. Very comfortable place to live. Extremely happy with my choice to reside at the Addison at Hampton Apartments! ~Paul Calvello/resident since November 2015.
Such a wonderful place this is! I cant express how incredibly helpful the staff are and how easy they make the transition and the move. The apartment complex is maintained SO well and the amenities are great. I cant thank Addison at Hampton enough for all the help theyve given myself and every other resident. Thank you!!!
Absolutely love the Addison at Hampton! The staff has been incredibly helpful and have always been available to answer my questions. The apartments themselves are very well kept, clean, and up to date. The location is great with lots of local shopping nearby and I feel very safe. Overall have had a great experience and would recommend Addison at Hampton to anyone!
I dont leave reviews very often if any, but this apartment sure deserves one! The office is always so pleasant and takes care of any issues I may have. I spent a good 30 mins the other day talking with the new manager, and she is great and always takes time out to talk with me, I know she is busy, she never makes it seem like I am a bother, which is nice since Im retired and enjoy talking. I enjoy living here even though Im alone, I never feel like that with this all star team!!
I have been living here for 6 months and have nothing but great experiences so far. The staff is always helpful. The gym is the perfect size, the pool is great during the summer and the dog park is perfect for letting my dog run around. Only called maintenance once for a small leak in the sink, they came out an hour later problem solved. I visited multiple other communities before choosing addison, no regrets! Definitely recommend!
The girls in the office are beautiful, courteous, and prompt. All of my needs are met quickly. I have had a very positive experience with the maintenance team. I am very excited to stay here--I love it! Im hoping that when Im ready for a two bedroom, they will be able to accommodate my needs here as I do not want to leave the community.
I lived at Addison for 2yrs and had a great experience. The office staff was always available to answer questions and the very few times I had to call maintenance they were always efficient. I love the pool and gym!
Very responsive and quick to answer any and all questions I had.
TERRIBLE. Overall Poor. Ripoff. Appliances Terrible. Misleading Website and Tours. Would Not Recommend To My Worst Enemy. Felt Bad For My GF Leaseholder. Appliances Were In Bad Shape. STAY AWAY. Go To Apartment NextDoor If You Need To Be Stay In This Area. TownShip Apartments Are Much Better NextDoor. Also Better Value For $$. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.
Moving to The South was an eye-opener for me, but Addison at Hampton made it easy and welcoming. My apartment was clean and spacious, with a really great design and a huge balcony. But the best part about these apartments was the community -- with a pool that I didnt know how much I would rely on, some lovely grounds for walking, and just the most pleasant and responsive staff I could have hoped for. My (very few) maintenance requests were handled immediately, and the office staff helped me find new places and activities around town. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking to live in the area -- If I werent headed to Illinois I would absolutely continue living here!
I moved in about 4 months ago and I love that I chose this apartment. The staff is very friendly, maintenance is prompt, location is convenient, my neighbors are respectful, then the gym and pool are very nice too. My only complaint has been the noise (peoples music driving through and the sirens going off almost every hour, all day). I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
We didnt have a good time
I enjoy living at Addison because the location is by everything. I am new to the area being military and have found the staff is very helpful with last minute move ins and helping someone found out the best places to eat! I have had one maintenance request and it was responded to immediately. I definitely recommend living here!
Amazing apartments! Awesome, very helpful staff! Would not have moved from here if I wasnt leaving Hampton.
The location is very convenient. The leasing team is awesome and very easy to speak with. The Addison team is very professional and act quickly on anything you need. I have told a few friends about this place and they moved in right away after checking it out for themselves. Highly recommended.
I don’t have many good things to say other than I felt safe here and had very nice neighbors. The maintenance was also SUPER nice, helpful & punctual. They would come hours or minutes after I submitted a request. I would give the maintenance team 5 stars! The downfalls:-The apartments are super small. If you’re single and don’t have many possessions, then they would be perfect for you. Don’t expect any extra storage space or closets because there aren’t any.-I was charged for carpet replacement when I moved out even though the carpet was old when I moved in. It should have been replaced before I moved in. I took excellent care of my floors and did not let my cat in the bedroom with carpet. So now I’m paying money that I don’t have for someone else to have brand new carpet.-I received an email telling me that I could schedule a move out inspection between the hours of 10-12 & 1-4:30 Monday-Friday. When I tried to schedule the inspection, I was told that it can only be done between 8-9 AM. For those of us that have full time jobs, that’s extremely impossible and unfair. So I was not able to be at the inspection to defend myself. I feel as though they should have honored the previous email saying that I could schedule it between 10-12/1-4:30.This is my second apartment with Weinstein and the first bad experience I’ve had. Definitely will not be dealing with them again.
This place is by far one of the nicest places you can leave in hampton. Its really close to everything, just name it and its right there. The staff in the leasing office are very friendly and made me feel like I had knew them prior to looking for a new home. When looking and deciding, customer service is a big factor. I recommend this place to everyone. You wont be disappointed.
The leasing team is awesome! They made me feel right at home from the first time I walked in there. The apartment is awesome, and everything was made easy to move in! Excited to be living here!
This place IS NOT luxury. Luxury apartments dont have popcorn walls. The bathroom is outdated. These were built in 1986😒 The model looks nothing like the actual apartment Im renting plus I havent had the best experience with the office staff. Dont waste your time or money. I definitely wish I did not sign a 12 month lease here!
Never had an issue since living here. Maintence is great and so is the office ladies. Would recommend to anyone looking for a home.
I have been staying at Addison over a year i absolutely love if here. I work second shift so when i come home its midnight and there is no parking at the building i live at so i have to find parking 2 buildings down from were i stay it is very difficult, inconvenient and also dangerous. There should be assigned parking at least for one car. However the community is a great place to stay there should be assigned parking!
Our lease is up this January and were sad to leave this beautiful place😭. We would honestly stay here longer but we need to move somewhere closer to my husbands new relocating job. I Love all the staff members theyre extremely friendly and helpful plus we have such wonderful neighbors! I wish all the other apartments are like this place safe, wonderful, and affordable💕. Addison is H💖me, please expand a new Addison place at Virginia Beach too (thats where we have to move). Thankyou ADDISON💕😘
I love this place! All of the staff are such great people. I would really recommend Addison at Hampton if youre looking for a great home.
The only reason I gave more than one star is because the staff are awesome and are very prompt on service and the needs of the people who live here. The place is very well kept, on the outside anyway.Ive only lived here about 6 months now, but Ive had more problems with ants, fleas, and other pests than I have at my last two apartments in the last 6 years. The porch I have is clearly rotting, as well as the porch above it. Nothing about this place is luxury, and I dont recommend it at all. I plan to move by the end of the year as soon as my lease is up.
I love this place! the staff here are extra inviting, warm and awesome!Theyve showed me everything, the place comes with so much, (inside the apartment and outside as well!) great gym, beautiful atmosphere. The pool is enormous and clean. My neighbors have much respect towards others, even the resident pets behave! great prices also, I COULD NOT HAVE PICKED A BETTER PLACE THAN THIS ONE TO BE MY FIRST! Anyone who passes out on the opportunity to live here is in for a great loss!
We moved here in June of 2012 and I really have nothing bad to say about Addison. Its very quite and the staff are very nice and helpful, especially the new leasing consultant, Teena. They have renovated everything since weve been here, so youre really getting what you pay for. I only wish that it was more spacious! I dont know why these other comments are so negative! Addison is one of the best communities in Hampton, from my experience.
I went addison just to look at an apt and Im still searching however addison staff was very friendly and the leasing staff was very helpful and persistent.. I may consider making addison my new home.
I had to mark this comment as Its ok because I do not live here as yet. I live in the immediate area and we are basically new to Hampton, Va. We relocated from another state. We are not happy with where we are but are not interested in breaking the lease. But when the time is right we thought we would apply at Addison. It looks so inviting from the outside. Very beautiful. In a nice area. But, after reading these reviews which almost half are positive, there are at least 4 negative reviews that raises a red flag with me. If it were simply one or two, I could ignore them but anything over that is not doable for me. I definitely dont want to move into another complex where we will experience the same ongoing problems that we are enduring now. I am glad for reviews, they help people decide on whether theyll be renting a great place or Nightmare on Apartment Hill.
Check your vents, they painted over ours to make them look less disgusting on the outside. This was not even then biggest problem I had with my apartment but it was the biggest reason why I broke my lease.*Edit* I did tell them immediately. I was actually so upset that I brought this air vent up to the office. They sent a maintenance guy out to clean the vents once but they were still horrible. In the office the lead managment woman tried to convince me that I was seeing mildew up there and that mildew was not mold.Online payment never worked once, we always had leaks from the ceiling that were never taken seriously, surprisingly a pipe burst during one of the snowstorms and caused even more leaks. When I moved out they tried to make me replace the entire floor for one little nick in the bedroom from our bed.Oh but Im sorry addison, I am again the bad guy because I was the tenant.
My friend and I were so excited when we moved into our apartment BUT we broke out lease after only 4 short months of living there. Reasons why?? Well it all started when there was a LIZARD yes I said lizard in my bed!!! I lost my mind! The people in the rent were very apologetic about it but no one seemed to know where or how it got into the house. Secondly we had spiders and these little black bugs. We had them to come and spray several times but the issue still remained. Thirdly, the walls are THIN!!! I couldnt get any sleep because my neighbor over me had a dog. Every morning around 630-830 the dog would cry and run around the house. I called and spoke to someone about it, even talked to the neighbor but it didnt get any better. After all those problems I would of felt better if we where offered a 50$ off our rent at the LEAST! Lastly, my friends car was broken into. The area of the apartment is GREAT! But you would think that for the prices they charge there would be better security. She failed a report and never heard back from my one. Everyone experience is different this was just mine.
The complex since my last review has declined but it has nothing to do with management or maintenance. People refuse to place trash in the garbage compactor and it makes the community look bad. Some of the residents of Addison can be extremely rude, you say hi and they look at you sideways. Certain Dogs are not on a lease and it’s owners do not care at all about people’s safety. Its a major disappointment from when I first moved and hopefully things will get better. Not having Sabrina there has had a major affect on this community, however I still respect the current management. Since Sabrina left, the current management shows no urgency to confront the noise problems or other issues, I don’t recommend this complex to anyone!!!! The maintenance department are the ones holding it together with consistency and professionalism.
Weve lived here for almost 8 months, and cant say enough positive things about the office and maintenance staff. They are very friendly and incredibly responsive to maintenance requests (even emergencies like broken A/C). We truly feel welcome here.
I am currently looking for a new place to live. I loved the property it was very clean and has all the amenities I am looking for. And the staff was very friendly as well.
CLEAN the workers friendly they laugh and help you understand everything you wanna know about the property then its alot of room and space for events and anything
Best place you can live! Warm, welcoming staff Taylor and Sebrina are the first faces you see when you walk into the club house, they will help you with all your leasing needs and Justina is the property manager she is the most understanding and professional leasing manager I’ve dealt with and she will also works with you and your financial and personal needs! They also plan community events so you can meet your neighbors, and all the staff. Maintenance (Kenric) is the BEST part about living here, if something is broke or clogged they will be out in 12 hours or less to fix it ! The emergency maintenance is also on it! They come running to the rescue whenever you need them no matter what time. Also this is a beautiful community, well kept, always clean, and the landscaping is fabulous! The club house and gym are 24/7 which is a plus for me. If you are looking for luxury 1 and 2 bedrooms this is the place for you.
Addison at Hampton is by far the best apartment complex in Hampton. The staff has excellent customer service, I have never had a rude experience with anyone in the leasing office. The work orders are handled within 24 hours every time. I had an issue with my sink late one night and reported the issue with the emergency maintenance hotline, literally 2 mins later a maintenance staff called me. If thats not GREAT customer service, what is! The amenities here are endless, especially the renovated gym. They have one of the biggest gyms I have ever seen in an apartment complex. They even have a dog park for all the fur mommies! Overall, Addison at Hampton is a great place to live. I have nothing bad to say about this community except for the fact I didnt live here sooner!!!
Best place! Best staff! Best in the area, hands down.
I had previously visited months ago, but wasnt able to sign the lease at the time. The staff was welcoming and it was a beautiful complex so when I was finally able to rent, Addison was the first place I called.A young kid answered the phone like i was interrupting him, but I ignored it and came in for an apartment tour anyway. When I walked in I could immediately tell they changed all management. The whole place was overall extremely unprofessional, I felt like I was interrupting their free time of talking and hanging out.The apartment tour was even worse. First, he showed us the wrong apartment completely out of budget from what we discussed. We somehow ended up in the two bedroom even though I told him multiple times I was looking to downgrade to a one bedroom. The apartment itself was disgusting. Peeling paint, dust on the cabinets, dirt on the floor, my husband ran into a spider web in the kitchen. Mind you, this person was moving in the NEXT DAY. There was a little welcome home gift, I knew that was their finished product. This place has really gone down hill. The manager giving us the tour said theyre working on making it so people with bad credit can have an easier time moving in. No thank you. Im really glad we didnt sign the lease before it was too late.
I moved here after a particularly bad experience with another apartment complex (managed by the Addisons neighbors, actually), so I was really leery about shelling out so much money for something that could turn out equally bad.Turns out I made a great investment. The apartments are well-maintained, unique floor plans, spacious kitchens and when I did have maintenance issues, they were very promptly fixed. The grounds are maintained, Ive rarely seen dog poop around, and when I do, they make sure it gets cleaned up and post signs reminding tenants to pick up.The location is a blessing and a curse for me. Its less than 5 miles to Langley, which is great (you can ride your bike if youre feeling froggy) and about a mile from Peninsula town Center. Two grocery stores to choose from, literally across the street from the complex. Its great. The downside of that central location is the traffic noise. I wanted a quiet apartment, but what I got was one that backs up on Colliseum Drive, and let me tell you, it is not quiet. EVER. And I suggest getting blackout curtains, because its never dark, either. That being said, the property managers are serious about enforcing quiet hours for their residents, and I dont hear my neighbors at all. I imagine an apartment near the inside of the complex would sound a lot different. The office staff was a dream to work with. Always friendly and in a good mood and willing to help with whatever you need. Nothing like seeing them standing outside offering free coffee and donuts to people driving to work. I loved them all, and will be sad to go.Thank you for changing my Hampton leasing experience!
Would like to rate it higher, but everything about this place is gross and over priced .
This is what will happen:1. Youll arrive at the leasing office. Youll be reasonably impressed by the facilities. 2. Youll tour the premises with a leasing agent who talks to you and your partner like old friends. 3. Youll be shown a beautiful model apartment. Youll marvel at the new appliances, the modern detailing, and the tasteful decor. 4. Youll return to the leasing office, where youll be informed that your selected floorplan will be available shortly. Youll be promised total renovation, including all new appliances, new carpet, and new paint. Youll be the first to live in the newly renovated apartment. 5. Youll make the grave mistake of applying. 6. Youll be informed, two weeks before move-in, that the unit promised is way behind on renovations and will not be available for at least another month and a half.7. Youll be promised a comparable unit available on the same day, conveniently located toward the center of the complex. Youll tentatively accept.8. Youll receive a phone call five days before move-in that your lease start date has been pushed back one day. Youll inform them that they cant change the date without your consent after youve already hired movers. Youll change it back.9. Youll arrive on moving day to find that you are not allowed to view the apartment before signing the lease. Youll question whether this is legal.10. Youll walk into your newly renovated home to find a dark apartment covered in spiderwebs and grime. Youll discover that the darkness comes from the gigantic fence immediately outside your windows, separating you by about ten feet from the heavy traffic on Coliseum Avenue.11. Youll realize that the model apartment shown to you was a total misrepresentation. Youll realize your master bedroom cannot simultaneously fit a king size bed and a dresser.12. Youll find what appears to be a blood stain the size of a golf ball in the walk-in closet. Youll find a shard of broken glass in the bathroom. Youll find a scratched and badly stained vanity sink. 13. Youll find a beige washer and dryer from the 80s. Youll wonder why your new appliances are older than you.14. Youll have a minor aneurysm.15. Youll inquire about breaking the lease based on the aforementioned reasons. Youll find that the leasing agents who treated you like an old friend are now treating you like a petulant child.16. Youll wonder how they can sleep at night.
Love the location, love my apartment, the maintenence guys are awesome, and so are the gals in the office!!! Best complex around!! You definitely get what you pay for!!!
Love the community, staff and my apartment! Office staff is always available and responsive!
Wonderful complex, beautiful homes, great location!
These apartments are by far the best and the staff are great. I would highly rocmmend if you are looking!!
Very helpful and friendly staff, I love that they have a security officer, so i feel very safe living here.
Do you like kicked in doors, busted windows, and rude staff. Man do i have the place for you! Get ready to deal with paperwork and fees that seem to come from nowhere, the days of hospitality and kind staff are long gone. Ok rant over on a real note, its just been an all around bad experiance. People had car windows busted in the first week that i moved in. I was on nights and came home to someone trying to kick in my door.. The apartments are over priced i would not suggest these to anyone. the only good thing i can say is that the mantinance crew is on point, but the cons far out weigh the pros. This is my openion though so feel free to go see first hand but personally i would stay far away.
Flawless move-in and maintenance experience. Clean and home-like complex.
This is my first and only residence in VA and its been an awesome experience. From my apartment, to the staff, to the location, Im all around satisfied. My apartment is cozy and I love having a fireplace! I have had an issue or two, but 24hr maintenance took care of it right away. I have a fur baby, so the bark park and potty stations are definitely things were greatful for! This community says they are pet friendly and they mean it. Also, this community is pretty social. The staff here hosts events for residents and guests, usually including food. It is nice to get out and mingle with neighbors sometimes. No worries if thats not your thing.Outside of the community, there are a lot of things to take advantage of within walking distance. If youre just stepping out for groceries, taking a walk with your fur baby to PetCo or PetSmart, or heading out with friends or your other half for drinks at a bar, you have options! Pensuila Center is a block away. There isnt assigned parking, a gate or garages here, but for me, those werent deal breakers. There is still a peace of mind calling Addison at Hampton home!
Place is trash. just moved out. rent aint worth it.
Save yourself from aggravation and do not move here. Management is uncooperative on all fronts.
Love the staff, the complex and amazing amenities.
Now that the clubhouse is available for use 24 hours a day, there needs to be posted signs stating UNLESS YOU ARE A RESIDENT AND HAVE A KEY CARD you cannot use the facilities. Also, if the lifeguard is suppose to be guarding lives than it would be wise for him to pay more attention to and stay in the actual pool area . AND another thing, just because someone knows someone who either works or lives on this property does not give them the privilege to use anything on this property that WE RESIDENTS pay for!!!! If they would like to use the pool, clubhouse, gym, dog park, garbage compactor, car wash station or even the parking lot... submit an application to Addison at Hampton apartments, get approved and pay the astronomical rent prices we pay then by all means all of these things will be at your convenience. I have a huge problem with this! People who do not PAY to live on this property should not be able to LIVE on this property. Just like right now as I type this, the lifeguards mother is in here using this facility. WHY? its his working hours, why is she here? why is she sitting at a computer that a resident pays for?
Not a bad place to live.
Great location
