Mark was my technician and I was very pleased. He was on time, friendly and explained things well. He was also neat, covering his shoes upon entering my home and cleaning up and shutting off things as he left. I feel this heating and humidifier maintenance is a good value for a good price. I will be using Schaafsma again and asking for Mark!

Had an issue with our A/C, even though it was less than a year old. The technician (Mark) came out on the weekend, and was incredibly helpful. Not only did he resolve the issue quickly, he gave a great explanation of the issue and how we can watch for and avoid it in the future. He was pleasant, thorough, and extremely helpful. Really appreciate his help!

I could not be more HAPPY with my service today. My AC went out last night and it is hot mid July in MI. I called them at 7:50am this morning explained what was going on and they informed me they could have someone out in about 15 min. I was super happy because I work from 10-6 and did not know how I was going to make this all work. The tech was there by 8:10 and got right to work.He was able to tell me exactly what was going on and was able to fix it and have everything completed by 9:30am just in time for me to leave for work .The price was worth every penny. Marvin AKA The old man also gave me some good free advice on how to keep up on the unit so it will last me many more years. From start to finish these guys did a great job! I highly recommend Schaafsma for your home or business!

Purchased a red carpet maintenance plan. Had an issue with a furnace in late Sep. They were able to come out quickly same day, which I appreciated. However, to be told that I would be charged $200+ to clean an attachment that would be a part of routine maintenance that I already had a pending appt for based on their availability made no sense to me. Nor was I reminded to schedule this maintenance appt. I proactively did this myself. Earlier in the summer they charged me 700+ on AC repairs, which in hindsight I question whether they were even needed as the ACs were functioning. Seems overpriced imo. Wont be continuing my maintenance package when it expires. There are other companies out there.

My AC died during a heat wave and right before a weekend. I called Schaafsma and they sent someone the same day. Drew was friendly, competent and very efficient. Our system was ready quickly. I highly recommend Schaafsma.

Schaafsma was able to come within a month for the installation before the warm weather came and they got busy. We did get a say on the location of the vents which made us happy. The system works well, other than two rooms being warmer than the rest, but they have not yet come back for the adjustments. We are still awaiting screens for the round floor vents, but Covid affected the availability of some parts so this is understandable.

A full replacement of a struggling 20 yr plus AC & Furnace. Jeff clearly laid out rebates, financing, and system balancing. On a Saturday! We had technician David B. Come to our house due to air flow issues with central air/heating in our home. He was extremely thorough, very kind & very professional. He checked every last potential issue corrected a couple things and provided a detailed report, video and recommendations. Unsure why the septic pump was unplugged at all? The installers neglected to plug the septic pump back in and sewage flooded my utility room. Luckily we were home and could minimize damages but cleaning up sewage was NOT how we planned to spend the 4th of July holiday weekend.

From the first visit when my original furnace broke down, the service repairman was super helpful, straightforward, and got that furnace up and running so I didnt freeze over New Years Day. Then, Heather was very easy to deal with over Zoom and email, gave multiple options clearly laid out, and answered all my questions. Not pushy or deceptive. We had some old lines in our house that needed to be moved so we could finish our basement. They had one guy come out, he was early to our house and worked fast. He capped the old in line and was able to get a newer, shorter pipe run from the new supply line to our main gas pipe. Prices were fair and the work was great. Highly recommend!

Professionally handled all facets of replacing a 20 yr old furnace that failed inspection, including new thermostat, humidifier and air cleaner/filtration system. Job started within 12 hrs of discovery of holes in the old heat exchanger so my 92 yr old mother wouldnt be cold and we would be safe. Installers explained everything as they worked: including when they would be taking breaks. Took 2 days to finish but cleaned up each day. When city inspector came after installation, he commented this wont take long. You hired one of the best contractors in Grand Rapids. Topnotch employees from office staff to installers. Well done!!

Dave Allen was a great service tech. We had him give our furnace a yearly check up and we needed some work on the humidifier. Dave called ahead of arrival, was on time and made sure all our needs were met. The repair was done quickly and he explained everything he did. I would recommend Dave to anyone that needs service.

They even repaired some existing duct problems that no none caught before. They explained what they were doing as they went. David was great. On time, efficient, friendly, and skilled at his trade. Marvin had immediately diagnosed the problem on an earlier visit and he impressed me as well. The downside is the fact that no on ever bothered to tell me of the class action lawsuit against Bryant for a faulty part. The part was supplied free of charge but the labor charge was outrageous. Had I known of the faulty part at an earlier date, I would have replaced the whole system during warmer months and given the time to evaluate my needs.I will steer clear of Bryant-Carrier products in the future. Another expensive lesson learned. Stay away from the bells and whistles meant to save you energy dollars. It ended up costing me a lot more than Ill ever save with that system.

We recently had Schaafsma install a Bryant mini-split A/C Heat Pump with three head units in our mid-century ranch. We had two wall air conditioners that cooled OK, but were VERY LOUD when they ran.Because of our house design it was a challenging install, and Greg Stair and Matt worked diligently and efficiently to get everything done!When the new Bryant was turned on, in very short order the house was cool, dry and QUIET!! We love our new system, it was worth every penny (and there were a few of them!)From our very first meeting with Greg Kippen through the final wrap-up, I felt really good about our selection of Schaafsma Heating and Cooling and would unconditionally recommend them to anyone in the market for great products from a superior organization. I had to get a new furnace I had to get a new water heater and then I had central air put in my house they did the job in a day and a half and got it done and working I was very surprised I will recommend anybody to have them to come to their house I left them alone at my house in the locked everything out when I got home they did a beautiful job putting everything together thank you

It took about 3 weeks and 4 crabby different people to install the boiler. Heat would not shut off and They had no on call service. Had to open windows for days! Did not clean up any of the messes they made including drilling holes in basement wall for venting and a wet, dirty basement and pieces of concrete still outside.Vent pipes are right under kitchen window and back door and a cloud of smelly exhaust is constant.Once installed, you have to run the water for 45 to 90 seconds for the water to get warm and the shower temp fluctuates from warm to cool and you must adjust the water constantly. I would never recommend Schaafsma to anyone ever!They are also very expensive.

Steve and Cam took good care of my furnace and AC unit. Put in a new furnace and ac condensor in short time. They were both friendly, courtious and worked efficently. Did a little extra on the clean up. Much appreciated. Two GREAT guys!

My experience working with Schaafsma on an AC install is they are professional, expert, and customer-centered. During the installation process, some changes had to be made that were different than discussed during the bidding process, changes that affected an original goal for the project - minimizing the effect on the house. Their install team accommodated us on this to the extent possible, but some changes emerged too late in the process to troubleshoot as effectively. This could be inherent to any project of this size with any service, but I recommend requesting and agreeing to drawings before the project starts. The technicians were courteous, respectful of the house, and accommodating. The unit they installed works great. I recommend Schaafsma Heating & Cooling for their quality work on AC installations.

When I made the appointment, morning was suggested and I said no, afternoon is preferred. We agreed on noon-3pm. The confirmation email showed 9am-noon and that is when the tech came. A very unusual miscommunication!

My furnace died in the middle of winter and they were able to get a rep out immediately and install the very next day. Competitive pricing and professional service.

Had an AC unit crash on a Sunday. Monday morning I had a quote to replace my entire heating cooling system. The salesman provided a window ac for our bedroom so we could sleep...It was 91degrees. On Tuesday Morning the crew arrived, removed the old furnace, AC unit, humidifier and got the new system installed to get the house cooled off. The job was finished on Wednesday with no problem. The old system was not properly sized for the house. The new system cools great and I expect lower Power bills because of the proper sizing and higher efficiency. I highly recommend Schaafsma. They and their employees are awesome.
