Holton performed a furnace inspection and tune up on 10/1/21.He called to inform me of his arrival time, and once here he was committed to the inspection, cleaning, and tune up or our furnace.Ive had this service done many times before, and Holton may have provided the most thorough service yet.Thank you for the great service.

New heating system installed and seems to be working as expected. The installers finish work though does not appear to be clean and neat. For example, a lot of the metal tape is already coming loose. Expensive system that looks like it was installed by folks without a lot of experience. In addition, I would have liked to receive a follow up phone call from my sales rep asking how everything went. No phone call from the sales rep received. Only call received was from someone in the office asking for final payment (lets just say she did not sound like she enjoyed her job). The system purchased is actually very nice and should last for years as long as the installation was done correctly. I am hopeful but a bit nervous.

Bad service... Installed furnace abs A/C. Had problems with certification. They would not respond. Finally, threatened to sue and they called. They ended up giving a free upgrade but it took a bunch to get them moving. Now, the furnace has leaked water thru the filter. I called over a week ago, no response. Their service sucks... Great product and once you get their attention, they do reasonable work. No service. You have to break their arm to get them back.

Logan performed a routine AC maintenance this afternoon. He had had a difficult day. His van broke down this morning and he had to wait for a replacement. This put him behind in all his service calls. Nevertheless, he arrived within the expected time period. He had a friendly demeanor despite the earlier setback and performed a thorough inspection of our AC system. He was very efficient and provided a detailed inspection, letting me know everything he had done and the condition of our AC unit. I am very pleased with his service.

He is professional, pleasant, and efficient. When I call to arrange service, the appointments are made efficiently and kept as promised. Except last time I received a call that he could arrive a couple days earlier if convenient for me. Whats not to like?

We are new to the Grand Rapids area and a neighbor recommended Bel-Aire. I used them last fall for the heat and had them return this spring for the A/C. I am very happy with the service I received both times. Mason called to confirm his arrival time and arrived when he said he would. He was very friendly and professional. Excellent service. Mason Swinehart was great; knew his business, very professional. A/C tune-up done thoroughly. Although he did not have the correct kind of insulation needed to wrap some outside pipes, he had another person bring him the required materials. He committed to not leaving until the job was done and it was successfully completed as we had requested. Very responsive. Highly recommended company; have had a service contract with Bel-Aire many years and will continue to do so.

Do not hire them. they are rude and argent. no communication. sent out kids that didnt seem to know what they were doing. brand new furnace and it doesnt work. they are not even in a hurry to come back and figure it out. They didnt even do all the stuff they needed. Should have been done in May it is now Nov and furnace is still not working.

Mike C. was great. Preformed the AC tune-up as requested. All Bel-Aire service techs have been great, but Mike was the first to take the time to take apart my condensate pump and clean it. That took some effort cutting the PVC drain pipe to pull it out. Installed a coupler but left it so it can be cleaned easier next time or replaced with less hassle.

The equipment seems great so far, no complaints there. My issue was the install guys. They left random strings from packaging in my basement, didnt replace ceiling tiles as they were when they arrived, left the couch pulled out, and screws randomly left around new unit. All that was frustrating to find but the final straw was them fixing my toilet to use in the basement which actually caused it to run for two days until I noticed and had to actually fix it, again.Then, to top it off, I did not once get a follow up from my sales rep or anyone else to see how things went or if we are happy, etc. Seems like for someone spending the money we did the customer service would be a little better.Like I said, equipment is great so far but service is lacking behind others Ive worked with previously.UPDATE: Upon writing this review I was contacted by a manager that seemed to sincerely apologize for the condition in which the technicians left my house. Without asking for anything the manager offered me a free maintenance plan for my equipment for one year. It obviously would have been nice for the service to just be better from the start but at least the manager did call and attempt to make things better. I have now had the equipment for about six months and all good so far.

I was super happy with Austin Laurences service call today. He not only is a thorough technician, but also a really nice person to talk to. We enjoyed talking about fishing, and because he has fished on our lake, he was able to give me some fishing tips. He also answered all of my heating/furnace questions that I asked him.Ive been a BelAire customer for years, and have always found your technicians friendly and helpful, but Im going to request to have Austin scheduled to return for our Spring Tuneup.

Worst experience! Company sent an inexperience tech to my mothers house for 12 hours on a Ssrurday. Was also there the night before where everything in the furnace turned on and worked. He started replacing parts without testing for the problem the next day. Replaced many parts and burned out many others. Tech tried to get help from his boss and several other techs but no one would call him back after trying for 4 hours. Burned out circuit boards, transformers and who knows what else. According to two other heating people, it probably was a easy fix. Had to purchase a new furnace after destroying several parts. ( no heat for 5 days). The guy left a bill for almost 700 dollars and a furnace that wouldnt turn on. Had to fight with the manager about the bill. Still charged me $125 for destroying the furnace. I blame the company and the manager for sending a tech out without backup! I would advise everyone to stay away from this company! Will be contacting the owner too! I dont usually write reviews but this experience was beyond frustrating! Would give them zero if I could. I hope their $125 bill is worth the negative review and a letter to the owner.

Very Happy with the service from Bel-Aire, been using them now for 3 years. They do my HVAC maintenance and my water boiler maintenance. Well priced, show up when they say they will show up. They always check before doing any work. They prioritize what needs to be done instead of telling you need to do everything at once. Extremely friendly team. Colin who performs most of our service per our plan is always knowledgeable and ready to handle any issue that may arise on a call.

Good, friendly service man. Arrived on scheduled appointment time. Appeared to do some work, but he never told us what he did. See concerns below.Per this appointment we had two issues:(1). He asked my wife to e-sign, but gave her no details of what he did, or what he found. So, I had to track him down in my driveway before he pulled away, to ask what he found. Not very good service. Why not just debrief us before leaving?(2). In response, the technician stated “we may an AC coolant leak?” He stated, “our AC coolant was low, which indicates we may have a leak.” But he didn’t offer any solution, or specifics. When pushed for a solution, He said, “ we should track it.” Ha, I am not a technician, nor are we sure what to do at this time. If we need to replace something, why didn’t he say so. If it needs Bel Aire follow-up to monitor, why didn’t he say we’ll be back in 30-60 days to read your AC level,as part of your service plan. At this time we are confused.Overall, this is not we expect from a “service plan.”

This company is a joke. The last 3 times we have had our furnace or a/c serviced we have had to call for someone to come back and fix problems with what the original technician did. Each time, I have given the office my cell phone number as the contact number, yet they call my husband instead. He has had to step out of work meetings to pass the info along to me. Appointment windows seem to be completely at the technician’s whim. Someone was supposed to come after 3 pm today to fix the problem created yesterday. Instead, he showed up at 11:40 am as I was trying to get out the door for an appointment. We will not be using Bel-Aire in the future.

We have been a maintenance service customer of Bel-Aire for several years now. It has been worth every penny we spend on it. I always ask to have Keith Kendall sent for our bi-annual services. However, in cases of emergency we had other employees come and I have been very pleased with their service and the professional way they handle themselves. Keith, probably saved our lives and the lives of our pets by testing for carbon monoxide. Our furnace had a bad part and he caught it before it became a danger to us. He also recommended a carbon monoxide alarm. Lisa Green is my contact for setting up our appointments and taking care of emergency parts and services. We have a service agreement with Bel Aire for the furnace and A/C. They come out twice a year to inspect just prior to the crossover of the heating/cooling seasons. I have never had a breakdown or failure of any kind and I believe its due to this type of regular maintenance. Nate has been our service tech for nearly all of these inspections for the last 5 years.
