We purchased a 2021 Volvo from Borton Volvo Cars. We worked with Andrew (Andy) Jensen who is one of the best salespersons we have ever worked with. He truly was AMAZING. He patiently answered every question and addressed every concern that we had related to the purchase of this vehicle. If he did not know an answer, he was honest about that, and then found out the answer for us. Part of this transaction took place by phone and email, because we live in a different state. He was always prompt and responsive in answering emails or returning phone calls. He provided us whatever we requested such as photos of the vehicle we hoped to buy. We felt no pressure! We were impressed before making the sale; however, after the sale was made, Andrew made it clear to us that he would be there in the event that we had any issues related to the car. We did and he was! It had been years since we purchased a new vehicle, and understanding the technology was overwhelming for us. He met with us not once but twice for several hours each time to help us with the technological aspects of using our car. Additionally, after we drove it home, we noticed a flaw in the finish. It bothered us enough to contact Andy who made all of the arrangements to take care of that issue for us and while the work was being done, he arranged for us to use a car at no charge. He also arrange to have our first complimentary service done as well. I am so grateful that we had a knowledgable salesperson who did not pressure us in any way and who made it clear to us that he would be our advocate and go to person as we were making our decision to buy, and more importantly, he would be there for us after our purchase was made. I get the feeling that Andy Jensen really loves his job, likes working with his customers and cares about helping them, has a strong work ethic and integrity, and holds himself to a high standard when providing the exceptional car-buying experience.

I bought Volvo XC60 in 2013 and it comes with 10 years warranty for the body ( against the rust). I have a small rust spot on my left front fender and they refused to repair it- “ not rusty enough”.

Got a 60k maintenance package for $1200. For that much money it would’ve been nice to have my seats at least put back neatly instead of pushed up front and folded. Didn’t dry the car so the wash is basically useless and the air filter was sticking out of the compartment. I know these are just little details but I’m being charged big money and deserve some professionalism. I hope more care was put into the rest of the maintenance. Other than that everything was just as expected

We highly recommend Kevin Nikiforakis at Borton Volvo! In 35 years, we’ve never had a salesperson go above and beyond like he did to find us the vehicle that we wanted, and to ensure we were happy and satisfied with our purchase. He was truly amazing to work with!We met with Kevin late on a Thursday, which is normally his day off, and he stayed after they were closed so we could test drive some vehicles and narrow down our search. We put some money down on an XC60 that we liked, and then headed out for our 1-hour drive back home. About half way home, my wife found another XC60 on their website that we liked even better, so we called Kevin, who immediately went to look at it since he was still at the dealership. He told us every detail about the vehicle and thought we would really like it. He even suggested that we could turn around if we wanted to look at it that night. We decided to do that, and took the next exit for the 45-minute drive back to the dealership. It was 10:08PM by the time we returned, and we didn’t leave until after midnight. We ended up going with that vehicle, and we love it! We never intended to be shopping that late in the evening, but for some reason it just worked out that way. We cannot express enough how great it was to work with Kevin.

Horrible service from the staff. We went to another dealership today before Borton and immediately were helped. Nobody came forward at Borton as we were wondering around the show room for at least 5-10minutes. Once we explained the situation, the sales person said that we can’t test drive the car and needed to make an appointment because they were so busy…we saw him sitting at his desk for at least 10 minutes not doing anything until we asked for service. We don’t live close to Kline Volvo but go there instead of Borton and experience today just reminded us why.

I bought a problem child car from another owner and trued to get help and was Met with hostility, anger and hatred. Mike Mutchler was the service person I dealt with so I had the vehicle towed to Kline in Maplewood. After my vehicle was repaired I talk to the general manager about the service Writers behavior I had a nice conversation and he was cordial and apologize for his employees behavior

According to the sales person, the car had originally been bought at Borton and was dealer-maintained — on time — for every scheduled maintenance. Anyone looking for a used car knows how hard it is to find a car that you can trust the history. The dealer-maintained record gave us confidence that it was ok to buy a higher- mileage car. Volvos last forever, right? Bought a one-way plane ticket — sales experience was seamless — and drove it back to KC from Minneapolis.Knew from online searches the only complaint about this model was excessive oil consumption, so checked it weekly. 33 days after buying the car, the oil was two quarts low, so we topped it off. This is a great dealership with good staff, an awesome building and the best vehicles.The indoor car room is great, with lots of seating and a variety of Volvos. The staff can help you with questions you have and are quite knowledgeable. The interior overall is almost perfect, with lots to look at including an 1950s-ish Volvo off to the side.I havent purchased a car here so I cant say what that process is like, but I know of several people who have had very pleasant experiences here.

We traveled from Sioux Falls, SD to work with Gene Kagavovsky on our XC 90 purchase and would do the same again. Gene takes a very informative, consultative approach to the sales process and we never felt like he was in a hurry or there was any pressure to make a purchase.

The service writer was a little rough around the edges, but was very professional. He quoted me a great price, showed me how my new accessories worked, and of course they have a phenomenal pandemic sanitation plan in place for your car once the service was completed.The receptionist in the main lobby was exceptional. She is fantastic. I did not catch her name, but she is wonderful. I didn’t necessarily look as if I was there to purchase a new Volvo that day and without hesitation she was warm and welcoming, knew what she was talking about, and if I had been there to purchase a new car I would’ve insisted it been from her, receptionist or not.Overall Borton Volvo is one of the nicer dealerships in the Twin Cities metro, area as far as dealerships go. I enjoyed walking the lot, seeing the new models and of course the vintage autos inside the dealership.My accessory was installed professionally, in a very timely manner, below the expected costs. I will be returning to Borton Volvo for years to come.

I honestly cant believe what an easy and painless process it was to buy my new used V60 Cross Country. Gretchen was always so thoughtful and timely in her communication as I waited for my car to receive a manufacture recall fix. When it came time to purchase, the whole process took about an hour and I the had keys in my hand and was driving my first Volvo home. This dealership is weird. My volvo broke down on 394 for the first time and I called this dealership right after to see if they could help me tow it to the dealership to get fixed. They told me no, we dont assist with towing. I was on my own. So then I googled what to do as most luxury car dealers assist with towing to the dealership to get fixed. 2 seconds on google I found Volvo for Life (free towing) for any Volvo any year. I am baffled that the lady I spoke with at the dealership did not recommend to call that service and was extremely sure that Borton would not help with a tow. So I was initially going to have the car towed to Borton (as it was only 4 miles away) and then they said they couldnt look at it for over a week! I get I am not next, but a week to even troubleshoot seemed long to me. So I called Kline in Maplewood and they were able to look at it and fix it that same day. This was last week, but I am still just baffled at the unhelpfullness of this dealership and the friendliness and helpfulness of Kline Volvo. Who knew two dealerships could treat customers so differently. I will be purchasing a new Volvo shortly here and am definitely going to Kline as my experience with Borton overall was just not helpful.

Dan is awesome! I bought my first Volvo this year, used. I brought it for service and tires to Borton and Ill never go anywhere else. The service was phenomenal! Like above and beyond. Just an awesome experience with the service department. Brian was helping us out and he went above and beyond securing me a comparable loaner to my XC90 and working with the warranty company to get a pricey repair covered.

Be careful to get what they tell you in writing. Customer service here is lacking and if you dont ask questions you may be in for a surprise.Due for a lease turn in and they have told me as little as possible which was how the origination of the lease was also. They lied to me about mileage allowance, and mileage overage purchasing. The sales people I dealt with to originate the lease are no longer there but my experience now isnt much better either.

Heres how a business EARNS a 5-star from me. Which I dont give out often.I went in to get a fog light bulb replaced on my C30. About 3 hours after giving my keys to the service desk, I was informed there was a problem. They either forgot to order the bulb or the bulb was ordered and misplaced. The reason is unimportant. The fact was, I had waited several hours and the bulb, a bulb mind you, had not been replaced. So, I would need to come back.Now, Dan at the service desk was very apologetic about the whole thing. Dan and Borton was good enough to waive the cost of the part and the labor. The last time I had a fog lamp replaced was about $200. So, I came back a couple days later and they replaced it at no charge.Thats truly 5-star service.

I always feel like Im part of a large family whenever Im at Borton Volvo. There is a familiarity there that is not common these days. The service and polish of the staff is top-notch, and the fact that its a Volvo dealership gives me that extra assurance that the job will always be done right, by people who know what they are doing. If a mistake does happen, Borton always does their utmost to resolve the situation amicably. Thank you.

Took my XC90 to get serviced, service was done without any issue as expected but when the time came to pick up the vehicle today, the valet driver was beyond rude and unprofessional. Drove the car aggressively through the parking lot nearly ran me over, opened the door and through my key inside the car, slammed the door and took off.Very unexpected from such a reputable dealership. Will never buy from here again.

Had a small warranty item to address on a recently purchased Volvo. Dan in service took care of me! Car was picked up at my place at 9am. Dan called around noon explaining the root cause and fix, and he also did a software update. He asked if there was anything else I needed, so he gave me a deal on a set of rubber mats and tossed them in the trunk. Car was washed (it needed it!) and back at my house by 3pm. Would highly recommend.

In searching for my mom a car online, I found the exact Volvo XC60 she wanted at Borton. We had the best experience with salesman Gene Kaganovsky. Gene provided awesome customer service from the beginning! He was honest, helpful, and happily used FaceTime so I could see the car from Alabama. During my search, I was told by another dealership salesman that I was looking for a unicorn and I wouldnt find it. Once I saw this car during our video call and spoke with Gene, he told me how clean the car was and asked if I believed in unicorns because you found yourself one, which is when I knew Id located my moms car. Finance manager George LaMere was great and responded to my questions in a timely, professional manner. Gene also referred me to a great transport company that delivered the beautiful car safely at a fair price. I highly recommend Gene and the Borton team if youre in the market for well-cared for pre-owned Volvos! My mom says the car is amazing!

Kevin Nikiforakis was an exceptionally amazing salesmen who assisted me today in purchasing a car. When I finally decided I needed to go car shopping, I was dreading the entire idea. My boyfriend and I are younger and often times don’t get taken seriously or respected when making larger purchases. However my experience with Kevin was a complete 360 from what I expected. He was incredibly kind, courteous, and truly patient. There was an unexpected hiccup with the computers so the purchase process was halted and instead of having us wait or come back later, Kevin offered to buy us lunch. I had Andy Jenson as my sales associate - he was so personable and knowledgeable! I had always wanted a Volvo convertible and they are hard to find. Andy stayed in contact with me and found the car of my dreams - I loved the enthusiasm he had about cars and especially Volvo’s. Drake the sales manager contacted me directly to answer all my questions specific to the T8 hybrid performance, as he had driving experience with that model. Andy Jensen is the best auto salesman Ive ever worked with period. I have owned Mercedes, Porsche, Jagaur, etc. - his support, follow-up and attention to detail was the best ever and Borton should be proud to have him on their team! I also love my car and happy to be be a back in a Volvo!

Absolutely terrific help buying a car - Andy is extremely knowledgeable about all the different features on the cars. The service department has now figured out its Covid-19 protocols and has the right amount of staff to give great service to all those Volvos on the road. Would buy my car again one year later.
