I got my 2nd pair of tires here the salesman were very professional and they gave100% top notch service both times. They made my day I had needed new tires very bad and even though it was closing time they stayed and put my tires on anyway. I want to thank the Salesman named Jackson I appreciate you for your excellent service and for and assuring me that you all would be able to get my tires changed and answering all my questions! People always friendly courteous very clean. Seem to manage themselves really well and the garage area. The downside is I have purchased hundreds of tires from this one location and you would think a person would receive some kind of discount.. when you purchase the tire hazard plan you would think that if you never used it on the set you previously bought it would move over to the set that you are now buying. Thats 90 some dollars if they get to keep. Whats up with that.

My wife wanted to perk up her car, we all know a VW Golf GL can always use that. I ordered some really nice Konig wheels from Summit Racing. I was a little stressed, as it is most difficult to find someone to install these types of wheels as you would like it to be done.First of all the guys did a wonderful job of installing these without a single mark that I could see. I was a walk-in, but did not have to wait very long. Upfront person was as good as it gets. Very personable, and put me at ease about my install concerns.Here is the reason for the missing star. I wasnt going to mention it, but the response I received from one of the service managers was almost indifferent. As I was driving home, I got to my first stoplight. When I applied the brake, there was a define vibration. I knew what it was, and I just dont understand why something so important is disregarded by almost all tire installers. I got home and tried to remove the lugnuts...no dice. I took my 4 way lug wrench, a three foot cheater bar. I placed a jack stand underneath the 4 way to keep it parallel to the ground. I am 213 lb and I stood about two feet out on the bar...nada. These 89ft/lb lug nuts were set to at least 130 or so. I had to use my air gun to get them off. The excessive torque temporarily warped the brake rotor on the front wheels. I removed them all, re-torqued and all was well.I called one of the service managers and told him the story. He basically said that we use torque sticks. That may well be, but someone definitely used the wrong one. The vehicle manufacturers select a wheel torque for a reason, why ignore it or not consider it important? Short story: when I got out of the Navy in 1973, I had to find a job until school started. In an adjacent town, a friend of my future-in-law owned a very successful tire store. His most important rule was that any wheel that was removed for whatever reason would be torqued. There was never an air gun used on lug nuts, except to remove the wheel. I asked him why he was such a stickler for torque wrenches. He said that when air guns were used, he lost money on come backs from the brake noise and vibration issues. Plus, it puts a bad taste in the customers mouth to have to come back after leaving.All in all, a pleasant enough experience, but could have been better. I will go to them again, but I will have address the wheel torque situation. It could have been a one time thing, but the indifference to the problem by management kind of shows me that this may not be as important to them as it should be.

Jackson, Jackson, Jackson! Can’t say this guys name enough, needs a promotion immediately! Being a business owner myself, I take customer service and manners very seriously, but this guy goes above and beyond. I personally sat and watched him deal with rude employees and customers as well with outstanding professionalism and grace. Not once did he get upset or say anything out-of-the-way, he handled the situation just like a manager should. My only negative feedback would be that he is not the one managing that location. You guys up there in the corporate office need more people like Jackson running your stores, this would be a solid five star location if he was. Can’t say enough good things about this guy, thank you so much Jackson for your professionalism and all your help.

Had a bolt in a tire late on a Saturday afternoon. They were busy but got the tire fixed quickly. And did not charge me for the fix even though the tire did come from them. Exceptional service to say the least!!

I have used Discount Tire in the past and have never really been disappointed. They have a great warranty but sometimes they can be a little bit pricey. Today I had little time and desperately needed 2 new tires for my car. I knew of no one that could get this accomplished for me within a 2 hour period except for Discount Tire. Once I paid for my tires they were finished within 30 minutes. Made me happy 😁.

It was a little slower than we expected, but it turned out that was because there was an inventory problem. They found they didnt have the tires they sold us so instead, they spent the time to find us replacements and it ended up being an upgrade. The tires were more than double what we paid. Just a sign of fantastic management. The staff was friendly and once they had located a set of tires for us, the work was done quickly.

This establishment and staff was awesome 👌..! Great quality work with fair competitive prices. The staff made sure my tire pressure monitor systems, rims, wheel studs were intact during, before, and after the install. I was able to walk in and get out just as fast as an appointment. Just couldnt make my mind up on which tire to choose..lol

They did a fantastic job with my rims. A little pricy but hey, if ya want it to look good? Very polite and patient with us until we got everything together.

I had the BEST experience. I have a newer car with run flat tires. My cars computer system let me know that one tire had zero tire pressure. I went to Discount Tire and they were so helpful. My tire was still under warranty from when I purchased my car so they put a loaner tire on my car since it wasn’t safe to drive so that I could go safely back to the car dealership in Huntersville. All they asked was that I bring back the loaner tire. Didn’t charge me Anything! I will definitely give them my business and recommend them. Great Service from Great People.

This morning about 8:34  am I stopped at local Discount Tire outlet 2850 E. Franklin Blvd, Gastonia NC,28056  to have a punctured tire evaluated.Keith A Leckwood,  immediately looked at it,  and measured my other tires,  stated he would ensure its immediate repair  and rotation / balance of all my tires  .  This after briefly reviewing my  history w  your company.   All this with no charge !It was complete and your technicians  had already replaced my spare for me securely under the truck bed by shortly after 9:00  am. They even debriefed me that some wear was occurring to inner circumference of  front wheels  and i would benefit from  a  front end alignment.This is to both recognize  Keith, and the team who did the work,  clean, fast, professional .I highly recommend your outlet and company.

Danny at this location was such a delight. Very friendly, helpful, and informative. I came in with a screw in my tire (no appt) they were busy so I came back later in the day, he made sure I was taken care of quickly as they could. He made me aware of the Road Hazzard option for my tires, with working in construction this would be very helpful to me. He makes this location worth going too!

I actually stopped there to get some air put in my tires, Because you can get free Air Check. Usually I have to sit and wait for about 15 minutes before someone acknowledges my presence. But for the first time, in less than a minute someone actually acknowledged my presence and then in 2 minutes someone came over and actually helped me. I I wish I wouldve gotten the young mans name. But he was very kind and polite. He even checked the depth of my tires. Now thats real customer service

I like this discount tire. Super professional and timely service. These people were busy and rebalanced all 4 tires free of charge because I bought the tires from them and I was in and out in less than an hour. Very happy with these folks.

Depends on who you get.Today two great people and not a long wait.In the beginning, this was the spot to get tires.Fast, clean, courteous, and the road hazard protection is great.Literally never there with appointment had to wait more than 45 minutesBut as of a year ago, they are struggling to keep up with demand.Corp needs to ad more hours, more bays, or more shifts, but if this continues you will lose business. want to give 4 or 5 but cant. Feel that greed is in the way here. Be inventive and fix the service issue. People will pay more for better service, and your employees will be happier

Wow, woke up to a flat tire yesterday (screw). Took my wifes car to work and today at lunch those guys borrowed my wheel, plugged it, pumped it back up, and after work they switched out my doughnut with the fixed tire. I went back in to try to pay and they said no charge. So, yeah, gonna buy my next four from these guys, that was amazing. Shout out to George and the rest of the staff, free is ok with me 😀

I stopped by tonight for an air check in my BMW, they were very busy. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for them to finish a job. Drew, the technician, was extremely friendly and took the time to explain exactly the amount of air in each tire. I loved the attention to detail and explanation. Thank you, Drew! Keep it up!

So I ordered tires online they called saying they didnt have them but had some that cost more. Got there at 1020 for my 1030 appointment and didnt even pull my car back until 11. They did price match after whining a bit but still have a less mileage warranty that originally purchased.

This store was a lifesaver!! During a long distance move from DC to TX I got not one but two flat tires after my car hit a pothole on I85. Luckily My dad was following me in a UHaul & we noticed we were only 20 minutes from this shop, so we threw both flat tires in the back of the UHaul & a super helpful guy (can’t remember his name but he was from FL) took care of us. They only had one tire my size available but we needed two. He could’ve easily just said “sorry, that’s all we got”, which would’ve been frustrating but understandable. Fortunately he went above & beyond and worked some magic & found another tire my size and got us back on the road in no time. Service like that is why I’ll be a discount tire customer for life!

I had an appointment and showed up to it on time but was told that I still had to wait as there were people there ahead of me but they didnt have an appointment it took 45 minutes before I was told to drive my car inside. It didnt take the technician long as it was only a tire balance but I was there for over an hour for a 15 minute service. The technician was very polite and courteous did a great job however the men that were helping customers not so much. Very disappointed in their actions as I have been a customer for years.

Had an appointment at 09:30. Got here at 09:20. Stood in line to be waited on until 09:29. Paul was very nice and accommodating. I asked Paul how long the service would take, he said 45 minutes. Paul & other cashiers are pulling multiple duties. My truck sat in the parking lot until 09:56. My tires are now being put back in my truck after rotation.The waiting room and bathrooms are unclean.Watched workers throw power tools down right next to my truck.The workers look and sound like they’re having fun. I’m glad for that.My 45 minutes are up. Pretty good on time. So they accommodated for wait time. Good job guys!

I had a flat on the highway and my spare was flat. I called and was told they had a tire in stock. I had a friend pick me up and drive me to them with the wheel and bad tire. Once there, I was told I had to wait my turn, which is fine. I explained my situation but was told someone would be with me shortly. After waiting over 30 minutes without being acknowledged I left and went someplace else. Customer service here is not good. Can’t speak to the quality of the tires because after being ignored, I didn’t buy any.

Pretty dang good. They were really fast with changing my tires, great people and great service. Will probably go again.

Definitely do not do business at this location! George the manager is condescending and despicable. My vehicle had zero damage and all of a sudden there is a dent on the backside of the tire....There was zero damage to my vehicle before I brought this vehicle to Discount tire!!!!My lawyer will be involved as this is unacceptable in any fashion of the rule!!!!! I have insurance, the principal of this guy being so unruly and condescending is terrible! The vehicle was lowered on something and made the damage!Message me for pictures

As an existing Discount Tire customer I came here when I got a flat on my Honda Accord and they patched it for FREE. FOR FREE. in 2020. Who does something FOR FREE? I cant give anything less than a perfect review for this. I was honestly shocked.

They do not warranty tires if they claim it was road hazard. Beware. They told me some hit my tire and made it cause a knot. I had not hit anything nor did it hit my tire. There were 2 spot that were starting to bubble on the side wall. You have to pay extra money for hazards for them to be covered.

It takes to long to get service. Its always a two hour wait.

About the only thing worse than a slow leak, is a flat tire. Luckily I took it to the right guys at Discount Tire! They took care of it painlessly! Quick, courteous and knowledgeable. The facility is modern, clean and easily accessible right on Franklin in Gastonia. They identified the problem as just a valve that needed replacing and they had it ready in no time and charged me nothing. I will definitely get my next set of Goodyear’s from Discount Tire. I highly recommend them.

Ive waited over 4 whole hours as I watched other people like their friends cars serviced, then 3 white gentlemen. When I asked why were these guys service before me? The so called supervisor/manager claimed they had appointments, but when I called earlier that day they said its a first first come first serve no appointment needed. Maybe its because I dont look like the good old boys. I guess one will never know.

I always have a good experience here I cant imagine getting tires anywhere else. The website is user friendly. Use it first before you go so you can make a more educated decision. If you have questions the folk working there are very knowledgeable.

I had to get 3 wheels replaced and the service was phenomenal. I worked with an employee named drew, he preformed a thorough saftey check and was actually honest with me about my situation. Service was quick prices were reasonable. Overall 10/10 would get nail in tire again.

GEORGE helped me with a problem balancing tires I bought online, and was a perfect gentleman the entire time. Poor service.. made appointment got to the shop an was told I was going to have to wait 4 hours or just come back. Like really I paid for tires an your telling me to just leave. Whats the point of a appointment.. well never use them again.

I have been a loyal customer for about 15 years without any complaints. However, recently my wife ordered some wheels for her car and new wheels for my truck at the Gastonia, NC location and was told that the wheels would be available in a few days. After 1 week she contacted the store again and was told that due to covid19 her wheels were on back order and no idea when the wheels for my truck would arrive. 2 weeks later she get an email that the wheels for her car are not available and she would get a refund. No one from the store called to offer a different set or try to resolve the issue. Just a refund! She called to see if my wheels for my truck were available and the guy told her that the computer says that they are there but they really arent, once he locates them he will call. 3 days later, no word! Funniest part is that she found the same wheels for her car at a local stereo shop and will be installed in 2 days for $200 less. The jury is still out on mine... we own a small construction business and spend around 3k a year on tires to Discount Tires. This is really disappointing! Guess the saying is true. Good things never last

Long wait to order tires, ordered tires, Garcia called and told me tires had arrived, took car to have installed, my tires hadnt arrived after leaving car for install. Jackson asst Mgr compensated me for inconvenience.

Jackson one of the counter workers. He was excellent. i went by to gets some prices. Came back a few days later to purchase. He remembered my tire size and me. Once i went in for the tires had an issue with my card getting 2 holds for tires due to me trying to purchase on line and recieving a error message. He worked to solve and got my car back in a timely manner. Great customer service.

I brought my car to 5 different shops, including the dealership and paid over $600 for incorrectly installed sensors, to find out there was a nail in my tire this entire time!! Discount tire fixed it for free and replaced my sensors correctly for MUCH cheaper than anywhere else. They were also very quick despite the amount of customers they had in there.

But they still got me out of there in under 3 hours which when the line is backed out to the entryway, is pretty good.Danny took care of me and had my order for two new tires and rebalance on the remaining two in the system in not much more than 5 minutes. It was great service and good prices on tires

This is my second time here and I have to say that they are quick and efficient! I would however recommend making an appt because they get really busy and walk ins could take forever! I tried that last Friday and was told it would be a 3 hour wait!! Whaaaaaat?! No way, aint nobody got time for dat!Anyway my only issue with it had nothing the do with service. I did not like the fact that they did not require that EVERYONE wear masks. I think that is just not safe for anyone, customers or employees. Everyone without a mask is irresponsible and selfish in my opinion, they are jeopardizing both their health and that of others around them. Im sure there are people who disagree with me but if you dont think you need a mask then please dont put others at risk!
