Great place! Christy is very good

One of my favorite nail places in the area. I usually get pedis. And when I wanna splurge I get full set. This place is a small nail shop near DD, Aldi and LA Fitness. Its recommended to make an appointment. Otherwise your gonna wait.The place is small, warm and inviting. Most of all, its clean!I never have any complaints. I definitely will frequent more.

First time customer. Great at first....clean and polite. Price for a basic manicure was good. Quality was not great. Looked good for about two days and four days later, every single nail has the polish chipped and I am NOT rough on my hands at all. Didnt even last 3 days.

I love this nail salon. I have been their client for three years. In a pinch, I have tried other places and honestly, no one else does my nails the way I like them. They are clean and professional.

The first time I went my nails started peeling off so Jan re did them free of charge! Jan was amazing, did my nails with such detail and perfection.

I got there at 10a (opening time)I asked for pink and white ombré nails... I even showed a picture. I saw the manager “coaching” the young lady who was about to do my nails, so I already was skeptical. As she was doing my nails...I noticed she wasn’t experienced in what I asked for, so I asked questions & she explained once she filed them...they would be okay. She finished and told me to wash my hands...nails were awful, she asked if everything was okay and responded no & showed her why, the ombré was differently on each nails and I didn’t not fade pink to White smoothly. The manager took over, after filing for a while, she told me she would need to do a new full set. By this time, it was 12:00 and I still needed a pedicure & had another appointment elsewhere at 2p. So I declined. She fixed them to the best of her ability but they still were not correct. I was given 20% off, it is now a week later & have one broken nail and another one lifting. I am not saying this is a bad establishment, but MY experience was not good at all. I appreciate the manager doing what she could to “fix” them, but admitting that the nail style could not be done up front would have been nice.

Looooove this place! Appointments always available in a timely manner and the staff is always so friendly and sweet. Been coming here a long time and always recommend to anyone for pedicures and acrylics (I get gel)!

The owner does not have good customers service! When I got home the color of my nails was gone, I call to go back to fix it she said she is busy and call me back but she never did☹

Worst experience EVER! This place is very unprofessional. In the middle of removing my acrylic nails the nail tech tells me she has to take a child and their mother home, and asked if can I wait one hour or come back tomorrow! And this is about 10 minutes after my mom walked out because in the middle of her service another tech decided to do another persons nails and asked my mom to wait. So pretty much we both ended up walking out without the service we went there for. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING THERE!!!

I have been going to this shop for a little over 6 months and had no issues before the Pandemic. Once I went back after the Pandemic I was not greeted with gratitude, nor did the service reflect that we were welcomed. The first time I went back, my services were rushed and my nails broke after 2 days, as well as the gel polish began to peel. The second time I went back it was much better, but the third time was worst than the first. Upon arrival we were told, after “the owner” saw who we were that when we made our appointment she thought we were someone else. And BOY did she do my nails as if my business didn’t matter. I sit right now after less than two weeks of service, with two broken nails and peeling thumb nail polish. I have been in customer service most of my working life and I know your customers pay your bills. Maybe “the owner” should learn that. Done.

We came in on Tuesday at 10 am and were asked to sanitize our hands immediately. GREAT! This is what I like to see during a pandemic. However, two other customers came in while we were finishing up and waiting for the nails to dry and neither customers were asked to sanitize their hands nor did they sanitize before they began grabbing polishes and sat in the chairs for their services. I like their work but this carelessness is putting all of their customers at risk.

Went there today and walked out before I received service both ladies was rude and very unprofessional will never go there again I see why no customers was in there little tiny outdated salon at 11 am they had a few gel colors went to plenty of other salon and they have 100’s of gel colors

Service was excellent but it was a lil pricey

We just used Hollywood nails for the first time to get my girls nails done. She loved it! She was greeted by a friendly staff and they did amazing work! Her nails look just like the pictures on the internet. We will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend them!

Love this place! Staff is always friendly and courteous, place is always clean. Christy always pays attention to detail and gives my nails a great shape. If ever I have an issue, she corrects it willingly. Have been coming here regularly for about a year and a half. Never disappointed with manicures or pedicures. Highly recommend Christy, she has great skill!

Went there for the first time 5-30-17 and had a great experience. The place was nice and clean. There was no wait time, they do chrome nails (which I love to get sometimes). I got a gel manicure fill in and she did a fantastic job. The end result was nice, neat and clean. Not a bunch of acrylic piled on my nails with polish over it. Completely in love with the line design she did on my two index fingers. Price was good also. I definately am going back and would recommend to others !

After over 2 years of getting my nails done here I still have ZERO complaints. The whole team is awesome but Richard is my favorite. We laugh and sing practically the whole time. Sweetest and most patient person ever! Hollywood Nails has tons of color options for gel and SNS, so if youre slightly indecisive it may be a challenge for you .

They do amazing job,good customer service and very clean. I will be back. High recommend this place

Not a fan. First visit here and they could use some learning. The girl was super aggressive on my nails and 5 nails started bleeding. They do have dipped powder, but they need to learn how to make it even. She put on way too many layers and pushed it on the cuticle and my nails literally hurt.Also- they use super fragrant Bath and Body works lotions for your 5 second hand massage afterwards.Not a fan- won’t go back. Definitely not worth the money spent.— A few weeks later, I removed the dipped powder at a new salon and my nails were completely bruised. My new place stated that the thicker they are, they suffocate your nails and end up really damaging them.Don’t go here!

I would definitely recommend Hollywood nails for future needs. Christy was very patient and attentive to me. Will definitely be back!!

Horrible experience. Walked in needing nails done and walked out needing nails done.The girl Christy was defiant and constantly talked down to customers when they requested their nails be done in a certain way. One lady said she was new to nails and the lady proceeded to tell her what was right and then charged an insane amount. This place sits in a nice area, but she was not nice. We also witnessed her different treatment of people of color versus white customers. Stop going there and they’ll be forced to be polite. Side note, the other lady and guy seemed very normal and nice. The head rude master was Christy. We even saw her turn regular customers away on the phone but accept five walk ins and make them wait without acknowledging time. What a horrible person and environment. Not calming.

After seeing all these good reviews I feel kinda bad for mine but I feel like I need to inform others of my bad experience.I decided to get my lashes done...First off - The service was great. No complaints there. The location was nice too.Now to the not so great part. I got my full set of lashes done 4 days ago. Half of them have fallen out already. $120 (140 including my tip) gone in 4 days. After the first day a few fell out, I figured it was just a few loose ones. Day two, few more fell out of each eye ... Now Im starting to get worried. Now we are at day 4 and half of my lashes are gone or falling out.I did not get them wet for the first 36 hours, I did not use mascara, I did not use soap, oils, and I slept on my back.I wasted $120 for 4 days of eyelashes. So disappointed and upset. I feel robbed.

I went with my wife for my birthday, the pedicure I received was ok, just ok. I was to receive a spa treatment for the pedicure i had to ask them to do certain things that were supposed to be included in the pedicure.

I have mix feelings about the salon. My nail tech was super aggressive and 5 of my nails started bleeding. I get my nails done frequently (at other salons) and never bleed like this. They have dipped powder, but could use some training on how to do it evenely. They also use Bath and Body works lotions for their “after manicure massage” which lasts about 5 seconds. Maybe I have high expectations, but quality is poor for what you pay.

The ladies and the gentleman here work really hard and do a good job. Ive been 4-5 times for SNS (dipped) manicure and have never had any issues with thickness, unevenness or chipping. They have a great selection of colors too!

The technician I was loyal to for 10+ years, moved out of state and I’ve been looking for a new one ever since. I’ve finally found one to call “home”. They have a decent collection of colors choose from. At times, i’ve shown a picture I find on Pinterest to the tech, and she matches it almost perfectly.This salon is professional, clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I will continue to recommend this salon to those within my close circle, as well as strangers who compliment me on my nails.The one that did my nails today was Christy. But don’t sleep on the other techs. They are all simply amazing.If you’re looking for a new spot, visit Hollywood Nails. You won’t be disappointed. I never am. ☺️

I like doing pedicure over there but not a regular manicure. They care about nail polishing only (which is done very well I should say). Cuticles left barely treated. Unfortunately, its a case in many nails spas in Gaithersburg-Rockville area.

I came In for a gel manicure. It has only been a week and the polish is starting to chip on multiple nails. Don’t waste your money.

Honestly, I’ll never go back to this place. It was my first time & I do not like the service I was provided. Although the woman who did my pedicure was nice, she didn’t do a good job. She didn’t even have a consistent shape on the nails. Then, when I was paying, unbeknownst to me, my bank had placed a hold on my card. The woman Christy kept screaming in front of other customers, “you have no money on your card.” Although I was not embarrassed because I had the money, I think it was rude. She asked for my phone while I went to the ATM to hold as collateral, but I told her no & that I could give her my ID instead. As I was taking my ID out, she was looking at my wallet making remarks such as, “what are all those cards?” That was completely unprofessional, plus, they were school ID’s, Metro Cards & other forms of ID & discount cards. Then as I was on the phone with my bank trying to figure out what was wrong, she kept saying, “go to the ATM”. I ended up stepping outside & found out that I needed to go to my bank’s specific ATM to get the money out. I came back about 20 minutes later with the cash. One of the other nail women said, “oh you came back?” I felt highly offended. I am a great tipper, & have never not paid for any service I have received. They do not have to worry about me going forward. I will never go back to this place. I still tipped even despite the bad service.

When i need my nails to look really good, i go to Kim. She will make your hands look very, very pretty.Unfortunately, this salon does not respect appointments. You come at the time of your appointment and they make you wait. First they say 10 min, then - 15, then - 20. Not only it is destructive for your day, it is blatantly disrespectful.One time this treatment seriously messed up my day. I stopped going to the salon, but then i did a walk-in and again loooved how Kim did my nails. Several weeks later I wanted to see Kim again, scheduled the appointment during lunch hour, and when i arrived, I was asked to wait 20 minutes. Needless to say, i did not have this time.I learned a lesson - do not seek good miracles in the places with a low value.I hope salon will rethink its ways and will start valuing its own staff and customers. All they had to do is to be honest. Say that appointments do not work and stop taking advantage of people.It is not okay.

It was horrible. first of all I needed to spend more than 3 hours there and the technicians were constantly switching. They worked extremely slowly and I have waisted hours of my time. The first technician who did the pedicure was extremely slow and looked like she didnt have any experience. I wanted to get up and leave but I didnt and it was my mistake. it was impossible to talk to her because she didnt understand English. The second one wasnt much better. I said I wanted to match my nail polish but they were unable to. As a result, my toes are black and my finger nails are purple. When I tried to talk to the manager, she became red and yelled. Didnt even say that she was sorry, just yelled and was extremely rude. She didnt even try to resolve the situation or didnt offer any discounts. Anyway, horrible place, will never go there again.

It’s a shame to lose a customer over chipped polish. When you don’t provide the service customers pay for just apologize and keep it moving. Don’t keep saying “this time I do for you”. You’re not doing me a favor your correcting a mistake.. last visit. I’m so disappointed

Worst nail salon I’ve been to since moving here. I don’t know if they have a trainee working there or what but she did my nails and they look atrocious . They’re crooked, some of my nails don’t even have a topcoat, they’re patchy, there is bumps and she took an hour and 30 minutes to do this horrible job . I am never coming here . They train people on your nails and when they do a horrible job you still have to pay full priceUpdate: I got my nails done the week of July 4th, it is now Jully 12th and my nails are breaking . I got SNS on my real nails but my real nail underneath is breaking. I’ve already had three nails peel off . The SNS has also cracked halfway on my nails. It’s so bad that I will have to go to someone else, an actual professional, to fix my nails.

I scheduled a mani pedi for myself and my daughter the night before her 5th grade promotion. As we were getting our pedis, my tech dropped a bottle of clear polish and it splattered onto my new MK bag! Ok honest mistake but how will they fix it? They would not reimburse me for my bag, they tried to end our services right after the incident (maybe they assumed I wouldnt pay for services anymore) AND they got rude and tried to lie to me with a sob story of how they would get fired if their boss finds out. They even went to the extent of having my tech tell me a story about how shes a college student and her mom will pay for my bag. I told them how much it cost ($230) and they didnt believe me. I literally had to dig up the receipt (thank God for digital receipts through Macys!) and show it to them!!!! They even offered to cover it up with more polish! To top things off, I started having some pain in my big toe. Apparently something has infected it and the entire right side of right big toe is now aching and throbbing! I forgot to add the icing on the cake.... They still charged me full price! I ended up paying $130 for two mani pedi for myself and my daughter! With tip thats $160! And they are racist. Once the incident occurred, they immediately changed their attitude towards us, we are a mixed family, and proceeded to try to kick us out. Its 7:30p by now and we dont have manis yet! I had no where else to go last minute so I refused to leave and insisted they would at least do my daughters polish. They did end up doing mine as well, but only after I furnished my receipt for my purse that they originally assumed was a fake. They are VERY RUDE! Plus, the manicure and pedicure look horrible! It looks as if I did it myself at home. I requested a simple basic French tip but in black instead of white for both hands and feet. You can clearly see the bleeding of the black onto the clear surface of the nail.Horrible, horrible experience!!! Stay away from here if you can!

Almost every worker is lazy af. I wanted to get gel with a kitty outline design (nothing out of this world). The lady there seemed to dislike the idea and she asked me if I wanted the cat design on all my nails and I told her I wanted them on 3 of each hand and the rest to be polka dots...she only did the thumbs and she put the top coat on the other ones and then said “oh I’m sorry I forgot” like....tf. I didn’t want to leave with my nails halfway done but if I go again ima tell them if they’re willing to their job right. If not I needs find myself a different place...smh.

I went there wanting to get my eyebrows waxed. The gentleman told me there was a 5 minute wait. I ended up waiting over a half hour before I decided to walk out.

The people were friendly. Walked right in and got my nails done and they look ok.The 3 stars are for my cuticles being severely damaged. I have cuts on each fingernail bed. Probably will not return because of this.
