Amber does such a great job with hair color. I required a special mix of colors to get a natural hair color look. It looks amazing!

Update:I did go back in after writing this email (I was contacted by owner). She refused to acknowledge issue with cut though it was obvious. Blamed side part (it was cut on side part). Also spoke to me beligerently about types of cuts and stated that it was a blunt cut and you cant style blunt cuts. I paid for a style and cut so I want it to style...otherwise I could have saved myself some $ and gone to Supercuts or Great clips. She offered to redo it BUT only the top - yeah...Ill pass. She did not offer to refund me any of the cost though she did honor a coupon I was denied during my visit. She also gave me product but it was a half used bottle of shampoo. I felt the whole purpose of her follow up was more to confront than to reconcile. So I stick with my original review of 2 stars and honestly, I dont know that they deserve both.What I asked for: a trim with color underlights with all gray or gray with low lights all over/on top.I was told that I would need to cut my hair to get the look I wanted since I had old blond highlights. I agreed to get what I wanted. She took off about 8 inches.I was also told that I couldnt get the bright colors nor could I get any gray/silver except a smoky darker gray both due to my dark brown hair. (Though the person doing my hair, Amber, had bright neon color on top of originally black hair.)So I ended up leaving with my newly cut hair, smoky blue gray hair with dark blue and purple peek a boo highlights.On my way home I realized I had a section of hair that was an inch longer than the rest! I cut it at home to even it out to the best of my ability. I have also since found that I dont like the way she cut it because it wont curl under, only out.I was told to wait 72 hours to wash my hair, use cold water and sulfate free shampoo. I waited 84 hours and followed the instructions only to have almost all of the gray wash out...and it continues to wash out with each wash. The only parts left are the ones that were already gray....Needless to say that getting an uneven cut and having the color I paid for wash out isnt what I paid $320 ($270 + $50 tip) for. I looked online at various salons and decided to go out of my way to this one to get the trendy color I wanted being that that is what they do according to their site and they had good reviews (mostly) on Google. Im a working mom with 4 little ones....I barely had the 4 hours it took to get the first job done let alone the time to go back.

Sarah is the most skilled and amazing hair dresser this side of the Mississippi! Highly recommend, she really knows how to handle my curls.

They listen to me. Seems like a simple concept, but it’s rare to find. Amber was able to take my gold highlights to an ashy tone and left my hair actually feeling soft. Thank you so much!

Elizabeth and Hannah were an amazing exclamation ! point to a day where myself as a Father wanted to honor the wishes of my 16 year old that craved purple hair. Minus the back story of how we found this fantastic place- Elizabeth and Hannah provided perfect talent, personality and excitement for their craft to my daughters. My 10 year old also wanted pink hair and we had great fortune 🥟 finding Hair Color Studios on Lebanon road . These professionals made my weekend with daughters a huge success. Both have superb talent and great attitude🏆🥇 Thanks also to owner that greeted us and welcomed us.

Had such a great experience at this salon. I went in for a consultation on getting my hair colored by Lindsey and then a week later I went in for my appointment. My hair is dark brown and Lindsey was able to get a beautiful baylage blonde with the top of my hair still my natural color. She did a wonderful job on my hair cut and I am so in love with the products that were used in my hair. Two weeks later my hair still feels soft to the touch and not dried out and brittle feeling. I would reccomend this salon & Lindsey to anyone. She really listened to what I wanted for my hair color and cut and went above and beyond to meet my hair needs.

I found this place online and I called to make an appointment. When I arrived the owner was there with a stylist. Knowing I was a new client the owner assigned a novice stylist to work on my hair. I wanted to walk out but I felt so bad for the girl and decided to go thru with it. She was very sweet but I could tell she was a novice. I was getting a single color process done so I thought it couldn’t be too bad. I am not sure if the hair dye was evenly distributed and my haircut seems off. She used the technique of parting my hair in order to cut it. This is something someone who’s just learning how to cut would do. I’m still new to Frisco so I have to continue my search for a good salon.

So just moving to Frisco I didnt have a clue who to call to get color and cut so found Hair Color Studios online. I was able to immediately book an appointment and got Jenna. All I can say is WOW! She was amazing- not only is she really sweet but she took her time and listened to what I wanted in terms of both color and style. I havent been this happy with my hair in years. Would highly recommend her, and this studio.

Becca is AMAZING!! She has always been great about tips and tricks for my fine hair and goes the extra mile when I ask about how to take care of my hair! I just went in on Sat for a cut and color. The salon atmosphere is fun, relaxing, creative and friendly. They offer quality products that keep my hair healthy. I always feel like a million bucks after. So I have been going to a great hairstylist for years, but needed some changes. I found them online and booked an appointment and got Lyndsey. She was great. She had patience with my indecisiveness, she took her time, checked on me, explained my options, and did a WONDERFUL job. My color was ECACTLY as i wanted it and she made some very needed adjustments to me current cut, which made it perfect . I was a little nervous about going to a primarily Caucasian salon not being Caucasian and them knowing how to do my hair... but they made me feel right at home and completely comfortable. I will definitely be returning to her chair.

Did not get what I asked for. My hair came out looking greenish when I asked for full blonde highlights. Was told by Libby that it will fade away once I wash it off. This is definitely not what I expected and feel I should have been told his prior before my hair was done. They overcharged me as well.. ended up paying over $200 just for my hair to have a green tone to it. Not happy and would really like to talk to a manager about my experience!

I received a cut and treatment from Sara. She is incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. I was impressed by the amount of experience and knowledge that is apparent at that salon. I not only got a great cut, but I learned about my hair and it feels and looks 100% better. I cant stop touching it! Thanks!

Ive been coming here since 2014 to see Amber and she is amazing. They use high quality products and my hair stays healthy even after 5 years of highlights.

Make appointment last week for today.Took day off and guy call me 30 minutes before the appointment wanted to change time I was okay .Made new appointment per his request and he call again and cancel my appointment because I bought it from Groupon. I am so disappointed and will never recommend to anyone.

Ive gone here multiple times and always had the most wonderful experience. Everyone is so kind, and theyre VERY good at their jobs.

KP has repeatedly gone above and beyond for me, and always makes sure I got what I wanted. I have gone to KP many times over the last 5 years, have tried many styles and colors. I trust her above anyone else to get it right and to make me feel like a Million bucks.

Perhaps the ultimate compliment to any hair stylist is when you follow them from one salon to another. Such was the case with Rebecca Montoya when she moved from her previous salon to Hair Color Studios. 4 years ago, when I moved to Frisco, I tried several places but no one did a good job mostly due to their lack of listening to how I wanted my hair cut. Then I found Rebecca and she was so good that I kept going to her and eventually brought my teenage son along as well. Over the years, Rebecca has suggested a couple of products she thought would be good for my hair . She is never pushy but has a genuine knowledge of hair and the products that work given different types of hair. Finally, when I have had a couple of last minute hair cut needs for job interviews or business trips, she has always found a way to work me in. That sort of loyalty and service is hard to find but is what you receive from Rebecca Montoya.

This is an awesome hair salon, with exceptional stylist but if I may gush about my experience with Rebecca last week. I am not a good client, I dont come regular and never have a clear idea what i want when I do walk in. I went in last Friday and showed Rebecca a really crappy pic of a haircut I had a while back and loved, tried to describe it the best I could and just hoped for the best. This was not my first attempt to recapture this past look, all ended in failure. Not this time, Rebecca nailed it! I need a hair cut I can wash and walk and it will lay right with my crazy curls and cow licks, lol! Rebecca knew what I wanted and needed and made them both happen! I am so tickled! She was also very kind about explaining what products I need to manage my extremely damaged hair, and did I mention this is a very holistic salon with products with natural botanicals and essential oils? WoW!Thank you Rebecca, your as sweet as they come and I will most definitely be back!
