(We had a guest pass for the outdoor pool so this review is not expansive). From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the friendly front desk your experience begins. The facility itself is gorgeous, clean, and the amenities bountiful. The locker room is spacious with secure lockers, showers, towels and toiletries. The pool areas both inside and out are large, accommodating with zero entry, hot tubs and an emphasis placed on safety (which as a mom, is vital). Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy yourself, comfy chairs, umbrellas to take a sun break. We also ordered lunch, the kids menu was a hit and the adult menu salad was excellent. Iced coffee was a nice treat. Overall we all enjoyed ourselves immensely and I may venture to say this place has everything.

Ive been a member for years. Firstly, the facility is huge. Its difficult to comprehend how much space there is until you visit while there is a full parking lot and are wondering where all of the people are. It is so big that it swallows up the crowd. This translates lots of open machines and open benches. Also, in the age of covid it means a decent amount of space to yourself. The facilities are also always clean and well kept. The staff are also awesome and very helpful when needed. The main issue I see to Lifetime is the pricing, not necessarily that it is just higher than their competitors, but that they have now done 3 price increases while simultaneously removing services. It would be one thing if they added services while also increasing the price but since I have been a member they have restricted and then subsequently removed access to the outdoor pool to members. Also, a lot of their services like their classes make it feel like they nickle and dime you. If you are considering joining LifeTime I would recommend it but also look at other places as it wouldnt be the high recommendation that I would have given it previously.

My son is a member of Lifetime, so excited to join the club until in June, he was on the 3rd floor courtyard, there is a big hole under the turf, and he torn his ligaments. He was walking on clutches for 3 months, cannot drive all these time. We talked to the insurance company, they said it is not the liability of Lifetime, only covered a minimal medical expenses. No apologies. I think Lifetime does not care about member’s well being.

I go only for the pool. Fantastic. Lockers are outstanding, lots of spaces to hang out and work if youre kids are in a class. Just awesome on all counts. The only negative comment I have is the background music. I dont know where they get this stuff, but it makes me want to poke my eardrums out. New age elevator music. Please just put on the radio if music is not your forte.

This gyms facilities are very nice, however the service and communication attitude is always horrible. We have been five year members since they were open. We tolerated the high staff turnover rate, good instructors left, and bad commutation attitude from the account managers, group training managers, and kids academy managers. Obviously this place not train or set quality communication standards for employee but only sales performance. Trainers or managers only want to talk to you when you can put more money by signing up more programs or invited more your friends to join. But after you put in more, what they can talk to you is you cannot access this, you cannot do it as their policy, this or that they cannot do for you but they did promised all of them before you put your money. For the kids academy, a lot of times you sign up programs and you spend long hours waiting outside. But when you pick up your kids, you were informed your kids just play lego on the tables along and never been brought to the sports programs they were supposed to. Whenever that happened, they just use a simple word forgot, but we spent 2-3 hours waiting outside for kids sports exploration. They just said they cannot do anything as the classes were over. The billing is having more than 5 times issues a year. You better check carefully, especially for your private lessons or group classes charge. The new General Manager joined after COVID, It seems like he does not have any attention on the service level for your high value members. 5 years, it is DONE. Never come back for lifetime, especially Metrowest Location!

I joined Life Time in July mainly for the pool but then saw their workout facility was amazing! I did something new which was getting a personal trainer and the best decision of my life! Started in August and my body was never the same. My coordination skills and muscle enhancements are beyond my expectations. Gus my personal trainer has been exceptional and knows precisely how to push my limits and prevent injury. I am the General Manager for a Med Spa and exceptional service is key. Gus went above and beyond my expectations as a personal trainer. He makes sure I am not in pain and every week brings me to the next level. I am beyond Thankful adding Personal Training to my lifestyle!

If you canceled due to COVID and are thinking of rejoining DON’T do it. It’s not the same gym. Over the past 2 years or so the staff turnover has been extremely high. Chances are, the instructors you used to love are no longer there and the classes for the ones who are actually good fill up so fast that you can’t get a spot. Then if you DO get a spot you have to be a minimum of 5 min EARLY to all of your classes or they will give away your spot. I thought that was the point of a reservation? Your space is reserved.

The gym itself is nice but to pay $150 for a membership and not being able to bring in a guest more than once a month during a pandemic is absurd. Not a happy customer at all due to this reasoning. Might cancel my membership and join another high end gym that is more lenient towards having guest. I pay $150 for the gym, the sauna, the steam room, the basketball court, and every single one of those amenities are closed due to COVID. The least you can do is let a guest come in more than once a month for $150.... Terrible

Been here almost 3 years now, and my experience is overall very positive. If you are a young adult who value fitness as a top priority in life, I’d say it’s worth paying the $130 ish per month for this gym that has pretty much everything. If they offer more class that’s free, and Alpha won’t take over 3rd floor at the most popular times, it’d be better.. and last year I feel like the dressing room is becoming more and more untidy. But overall I like this place a lot.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. I canceled my membership before they reopened during Covid-19 due to health reasons. I called their Framingham facillity and was told they would email me an online cancellation form. Filled it out and received confirmation of cancellation. I was told my membership was cancelled immediately. They still were not open. Then they reopened and I was charged! I had to file a charge back and escalate it. Very deceptive on how to cancel during a pandemic, they clearly do not care about their members nor their health.

Review №30

Only join if you intend on staying for a lifetime... Dont ever try to cancel. They find EVERY loophole to keep your money. My boyfriend and I signed up a for the gym about 6 or so months ago and then he had to cancel his membership because he wouldnt be able to attend the gym and go to the classes he liked. He is in the military, so there isnt much flexibility. We tried for 2 weeks to cancel our membership and we kept getting rerouted to answering machines and getting put on hold for easily half an hour with the line disconnecting. Then I went in and they needed him there, which was fine, so I had him go in, and then they said they needed him to type up a letter. So he drove an hour back home and typed up the letter which I then brought in and handed to the front desk girl. He called later to follow up and they claimed they never got a letter. How ironic. They just want to take all the money out of your pocket that they can. And let me tell you, if youre in the military, dont expect if you go on deployment to pause or cancel your membership, because they make it impossible. A man in the gym the same time as my boyfriend was going on deployment that night and they wouldnt let him cancel his membership without his direct orders from his CO. This was just ridiculous to witness and I felt truly insulted.

Member For Three Years. Went from 5 stars year 1, to 4 stars year 2 and now 3. Not a good trend. Locker rooms have become a dumping ground for people to leave their kids. Everyone is on their phones despite the posted policy. Dirty towels are everywhere. Many lockers are broken. Shower stalls are getting nastier all the time. They used to steam clean the showers and bathrooms religiously - cant say I have seen one recently. The amenities are nice - but for what I pay they become overcrowded and not really worth the $500 a month membership for a family of 4 to get pool access. Understand the cancellation policy prior to joining - its not a big deal, you just have to give them 30 days notice. If this gets down to 2 stars - its time to leave for good.

Contrary to many of these reviews, I have had a very positive experience here. I paused my membership twice. Once for medical reason which didn’t cost me a dime. Another time it was work related. It did cost me $32.00 a month however I still had access to the spa. Easy to suspend and easy to reactivate. There is a frequent flow of professional and courteous staff cleaning the locker rooms and bathrooms.Blake and Steve have always been extremely responsive when I brought something to their attention; something broken etc. however I did have to bring it to their attention; if I reported it to other staff ( trainers, front staff, customer service desk) it remained broken. There seems to be a breakdown in communication there. Over all an excellent experience, and I did shop around, extensively!

Same as many other reviews, Life Time makes it nearly impossible to cancel your membership. Once you join, you will have to pay them throughout your life, the same as their names. A gym is not like a apartment which you need to cancel in advance so that they have time to find new tenants. There is once that I put my membership on hold for a while but they later automatically restart my membership when I am still travelling oversea. So, to start paying, you dont even need to be there or tell them anything. However, to stop paying, you will be driven mad as much as they can.

Dirty towels everywhere, poor water pressure in the showers, and half the lockers are constantly broken. Unacceptable at this price. The pool is great, but super over crowded for most of the summer. They continue to raise the prices (despite telling “founding members” that this would never happen). At least show me what amenities justify the price increases!!I will say that all the negative comments about canceling membership being difficult are total B/S. It’s clear as day in the contract you sign and is the same in most similar facilities (cancel in person with 30 days notice - there are reasons for this and it might be annoying but there is nothing shady about it) Try reading what you sign people.

I authorized i one-time payment of 78$ to my debit card for the set up fee. I was told by Scott that they would NOT withdraw any more from that account but that i needed to act quickly. Unfortunately myself and my fiance do not have the same address and we were unable to set up said checking account therefore forcing us to withdraw our membership. Not to mention she is now Pregnant and we cannot afford it. LIFETIME still decided to make an unauthorized withdrawal from the debit card today! Really????? I found it kind of funny that Scott NEVER followed up with me concerning the new account information. Its because they planned on taking money from that debit card! I was reluctant to give that debit card for the first 78$ payment but Scott assured me they would NOT touch it....BULL! Pretty bad that you guys havent even been open 24 hours and youre already taking advantage of people! That money you decided to take out of my account was for my car payment ! RUDE RUDE RUDE! If I could properly communicate how wonderful the team members are at LifeTime, especially the Yoga Instructors, the club would become so mobbed with visitors there wouldnt be room for me anymore. Dont be concerned, theres plenty of room; Ive never even had to share a lane in the wonderful warm swimming pool. Yeah, the facilities are top-notch, as youll see from the pictures (sound system in the yoga studio is also very good, and Im a notorious audiophile) but they pale compared to the people - from the greeters at the front door, the operations staff, the cafe people and lifeguards, everyone there is so friendly and encouraging. I am impressed furthermore by LifeTime as a corporation, especially as it has built this palace of health on the site of an ice cream factory. I found it remarkable that upon completion of my one-year contract obligation they wrote me to remind me that I now have the option of putting my membership on hold whenever I want; I dont expect to be using that option, but was impressed that the company would proactively remind me of it.
