Really unfortunate. Very cool place had a great conversation with the guys who seem cool but as you can see from the picture the cut was not great. On the right hand side and another spot the clipper got too close.Anybody can make a mistake - the fellow before me seem to have a great cut. But for the cost Id hope for a little more consistency.

This place is the BEST PLACE for a beard shaping or trim. If I could give more stars I would. Not to many people can master the craft of cutting, trimming or shaping a beard except for this Beard & Mane. Every chair in the shop is good chair for your manly bearded needs.

I have been going there for about 5 years now and it seems like each time is a better experience, haircut, and beard trim than the time before. Justin is my barber and hes phenomenal, he will give you the cut you want every time no matter the style, length, color, or anything else. Male, female, it doesnt matter because he can do it all! A cool little place with 3 barbers chairs up front and a room in the back where they hope to add a bar at some point.The two fellas who were there when I visited were friendly and professional and knew many of the clients by name. A good sign in this type of business!This place can get pretty busy. I would recommend putting your name on the board and asking for a rough time estimate, as you might be able to go snag a meal or a beer in Benson before coming back to wait for a much shorter time.

The barbers take their time and do the job right. You will have to wait a little bit when you get there, but it is absolutely worth it. I was happy with the haircut and shave, and my wife was happy. I will definitely be going back.

After trying many barbershops around Omaha I finally found the one, The Beard and Mane. Matt spent an hour on my hair and beard until it was perfect. Classic barbershop feel with a modern layout. The guys there will treat you like family and will not let you leave unless you are 100% satisfied. You get what you pay for and that is excellence.

Was my first time going to Beard and Mane, the wait was a bit long but the overall experience was fantastic. Barbers were cool and extremely funny. My beard and hair look fantastic and Ive been compliment many times already. Definitely am going to keep coming back and see Justin. Wonderful job on the hair and beard man! Called and made an appointment for the next day at 12pm. Got my babysitter together, showed up ten minutes early, and they didn’t know who I was... and then blamed it on me for being an hour late... which I wasn’t. My brother had this similar thing happen here and I assumed it was just some random experience so l booked anyway. Obviously it’s not so random and was horribly inconvenient... onto the next place

Quality is their #1 goal. I do not have an easy head to cut and Chris takes his time to sculpt my hair into proper shape. I refuse go anywhere else. Ive learned my lesson. The prices are very reasonable. I always tip a lot because the service is very valuable to me. Sometimes there is a wait because they take their time to do a good job. The conversation in the shop is always a treat. Take your time and enjoy a good haircut.

I always get my haircut here and dont have a problem waiting long to get my haircut I dont really care about how much it cost. It is a bit pricey for most people. My father-in-law is going to pass away and I look quite a bit to scraggly for a funeral so last minute I decided to come down and get my haircut. One person no one else to cut her booked out. I will not be coming back in the future

They always do a amazing job

Mike has taken me from a train hoppin vagrant to sharp as a tack twice now and that cant be a fluke. The wait time is the wait time but you get a quality cut from stand up guys which is way harder to find than youd think. Nice work.

One barber with 7 people waiting and estimate wait time was 2 hours (as stated by the barber) and while others were waiting barber was on phone talking about a law suit and other personal matters while the customer was sitting and waiting during the cut. Although he may be a regular and the other 7 guys are regulars as well and everyone understands but I guess this isn’t a place for newbies trying to find a good place after moving to Omaha.Reviews seemed good and I wanted to experience the skills past customers have I putted but I definitely wasn’t gonna wait two hours if not longer based on personal phone conversations.Nothing against the barber and his skills in cutting but behavior definitely wouldn’t get interest from new customers

Oh man I love this place. The three barbers are a hoot, theyve always got something to talk about. I will never go back to another place to get my hair trimmed. One downfall, however, is that they keep running out of their branded and amazing beard balm!

Called to book a haircut they said they were booked out fifteen minutes later they called back and gave us an appointment :)! I feel awesome when a company does that 👌😊 but the person giving my son his new school haircut was awesome and he really gave my big guy an amazing visit ❤️❤️❤️

I was introduced to the dudes at Beard and Mane when I moved back to Omaha, and what an awesome experience with a great cut! Each of them make us their priority and we are more than just a cut. Love when there are several dudes there cause you never know what we will be discussing! Justin just gave me another rocking cut just earlier this morning! Yeah the haircut is pretty good... if you want to take off work several hours early, three days in a row, to show up when they could have easily cut my hair that day and got out in time, only to be told “were booked up, we open at 9 am!” I have a ******* job, I can’t ******* show up at 9 am. A barber shop like this is a waste of your time. I’d recommend getting an appointment somewhere else for the same service. I’m never going here again. They should pay ME for the time I spent waiting and taking off work for a haircut

The best haircut experience EVER. These guys are the real deal and have sold me on their quality of haircuts and service to their customers again and again. I once bought a bottle of beard oil (which, by the way, is amazing) there and after paying for it left it at the counter. When I came back 6+weeks later they had saved it, remembered my name and gave it back to me.Beard and Mane for life!

I originally went in for the first time to get beard oil and balm seeing its one of the only places to get quality beard products without ordering online. I came out with my great products as well as the BEST haircut I ever got from Chris. Even though he himself is bald (haha) he gives the best haircut in town! Havent felt this good after a hair cut in a long time

When youre in the chair, the barbers are very welcoming and nice. Unfortunately, their hours arent always upheld, and when yhey are open, they tend to refuse customers as early as 2-3 hours before they are supposed to close. I loved my first beard trim there (although I waited am hour with only 1 person ahead of me), but tried 4 times in a week to get a cut and couldnt get a spot either time. The barbers are skilled, but there are other skilled barbers in the nearby area that are more time conscious.

Absolutely loves this barber shop. Was recommended by a coworker and dont regret ever trying it. There is a long wait here but at the end of the day, the way these 3 gentleman treat the customers and the way they do their art is fantastic. If you want a great cut done by a bunch of great local dude that make you feel at home, this is the place to go.

They are by appointment only, which might seem like its an inconvenience but knowing when youre getting there and in the chair immediately upon arrival then being done 30 minutes later is a huge bonus.

I went with my boyfriend. I think his name was Justin. He did an amazing job. Entertaining conversations throughout the shop. Should of went to Barber school instead of cosmetology school.

If you are a guy and looking for an awesome cut then this is the place you have been looking for. The wait can be long but its well worth it and there is a reason there is a wait. These guys take their time to make sure you are happy with what you want done.

Was able to give a vague description of what I want and the barber put together a cut that looked great on me, went with my weird shaped head, looks good with my scars and calaces. Never been happier after a hair cut!

This place is the best. I fly home every two weeks, I wait to get my hair cut and beard cleaned up here. The beard oil, is the best. For The guy complaining about the conversations, get over it. Its one of the few last places that has and old fashion barber. When I take my kids in there, no inappropriate conversations happen. Grow upThe reason I didnt give 5 stars, the wait!

I was given a wait time of 1.5 hours (which is understandable) and I was waiting there for 3 hours until I ran out of time and had to leave. I wouldnt have given a 1 star if they had given me a reasonably accurate time estimate and I could go somewhere else, but they just dont value your time if youre not a regular.

I discovered these guys while visiting Omaha. Now there is no one I would let trim my beard. Matt Chris and Justin are real pros. Great service, prices, and service. Believe it, I drive 5 hours one way to see the pros in this shop. Dont screw up and let some lesser shop do this work for you. I dont.

Ive been seeing Justin off and on since his early days in the first location. The line for the haircut starts in the parking lot so first in the lot first in the chair. When you walk in, just sign your name on the board, and wait for your Barber to hook you up with a nice fade beard trim eyebrows neck thingy and overall good conversation

Two attempts and two misses. Got here at 9am with 8 in line at opening. 45 mins later and only 2 off the list. These guys may be amazing but I may never know. No contact/drinks for the many waiting. Not recommended for anyone with a schedule to keep.

An awesome experience of the way a barber shop should be. Great service from some guys that are bringing back craftsmanship and style to what seems like an art form for them. Its worth every minute you sit in the barbers chair and every penny spent, if not more.

They dont take appointments. You just show up and wait. Timing was poor today. Two guys were standing outside when I arrived. A sign was posted on the door, Out to Lunch it read. I waited 30 minutes when one of the other waiters spoke up, Ive been here almost two hours. Now thats dedication. I left deciding to go elsewhere. Somewhere close to home. I drove in from Blair for this place. Out to Lunch the sign read. They certainly are...I will never go there again. Closed for the day or Getting a haircut at The Surly Chap. Perhaps thats a better idea.

Great haircuts; they truly do their best to offer a professional haircut. However, the long wait (can wait several hours sometimes) makes me wonder why they havent yet gone to an appointment system.

Very bad results. Last December. Anniversary cut and nothing was done to instructions!!! Beard shape was uneven hair cut too short. Finally rooster tails have grown out so shaping can be done. DO NOT FO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. DRIVE 2 HOURS TO GET THERE due to great reviews. WRONG IDEA😣😣😣😣
