I am amazed by the lack of management in this place. I come here specifically to weight lift and there have been multiple times where I need to pause what Im doing and wait because there is literally a wrestling match between children going on in front of the dumbbells. I witnessed a dodgeball game in front of the squat racks last week. It is mind-blowing. The people at the front desk are very nice which is why this is not one star
Great excellent member services. I am from out of town. Great place to work out.
The YMCA is a great place for me and my family. Even before COVID, it was a good environment that allowed everyone to feel comfortable. Now, with all the renovations, it is still clean and I feel very safe attending the gym. My daughters also attend yoga classes that add to the diverse amount of activities that there is. The YMCA is a great, safe, and comfortable place.
Nice people and updated locker rooms but the sauna is horrible!Single level of seats means you sit in the cooler air and the cold air that blows through the one inch gap at the bottom of the door is silly. This appears to be designed by a lawyer not a sauna user.
I go to the Y religiously 4 days a week. The staff is friendly and helpful. Its a great place for the money. You never really have to wait for a machine and if you do theres a sign up sheet and the line moves pretty fast. The workout area stays cool and dry as well. I have to say, this Sunday because I had time, I went for a 15 minute chair massage. It was awesome and only $15. I find the value at the Y to be great. No snobs or workout fanatics. Just a nice place to get your routine done. Im devoted and definitely comfortable there. We have a family membership where my kids go and play basketball. Its definitely makes your workout worth it!
The actual facility is nice, BUT it just seems like a daycare . You go to work out and there’s just kids of all ages screaming and running around, kind of kills your workout buzz. I’d like a gym not a daycare.
Ive been going here since I was a kid, doing the swim and gymnastics programs. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The gym and pool are quite good, and the weight room, though small, is adequate. Its completely equipped for light to high intensity workouts. There are so many diverse programs for kids and adults, including summer and vacation camps.
A good basic gym for those who just want to come in for a quick workout and leave. I usually only go there because it is convenient to my house but otherwise I would go to a different gym. There is not enough space for the amount of people in there and there is not enough space to do small workouts like abs. There should be a dance room where individuals can do their work out in privacy.
Great health programs. The workout area does get really packed at prime times but besides that there staff is great.
Great location, large swimming pool. Good programs for kids. Swimming pool schedule is not very convenient.
Great facility with good classes. Family friendly.
Great gym. Leg day killing me. (Thats a good thing.)
Stay away from this YMCA if you care about the safety of yourself and your family. Speaking from experience, they invite the worst of the Framingham street juveniles into the facility to play basketball. You can expect thefts, fights, vandalism, loud swearing, and carnal social interaction aimed at your kids from this group. Unless you are with your kids while youre there you can expect some sort of trouble if they are in or near the basketball gymnasium.

Nice instructors for swimming
Very clean for a YMCA and was surprised how big the free-weight area is.
Pretty disappointing as far as YMCAs go. The pool is too small, especially considering the number of people who want to use it. Who has ever heard of a pool with only 4 lanes at a major fitness center? Ridiculous. Who wants to circle swim every time they come to the pool?
Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied of the DAYCARE YMCA MetroWest Framingham (February 2017) !
The best...
Great! Varied activities for all ages.Constant updates with options suitable to the climate and season.I recommend!
