I get my hair cut from Megan Kurtz and her team every month. The cut and style is top quality. But better than that is the service they provide. I’ve had to take my 3-yr old in before and my word Megan was so professional and patient as I corralled my daughter and got my hair done. She provides a service beyond hair styling and takes the time to build relationships with her clients. In the experience I’m not getting my cut and style trying to make small talk... I’m sitting there catching up with a family friend. I highly recommend making Megan and her team your stylist!

I had made an appointment on February 3, 2021 at 2:22 pm for a haircut on February 4, 2021 at 6:45 pm. I received an email that someone would be confirming my reservation shortly. On February 4, 2021 at 5:15 pm I called to verify my appointment that had still not been confirmed. At this time I was informed that they were cancelling appointments because of the snow. This company is very unprofessional, as a business owner myself I can not believe they conduct business in such an inconsiderate manner. I have no idea what their haircut would have been like, and will definitely never know now. Fortunately the Great Clips didnt need to close because it snowed in Indiana and I managed to get a wonderful haircut for $13.00 from one of the most professional stylist I have ever met. I think for now on I will save my money and continue to go where there is professionalism.

I just moved from the East coast and was looking for a salon to get my hair colored and styled. I called The Loft Hair Salon and was thrilled that they took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for so they could pair me with the right stylist. Crystal was fantastic - friendly, professional and informative. She listened and made suggestions while including me in the decision process. When I left, my hair looked beautiful and I could not have been happier. The salon was clean and they took all the necessary COVID precautions!! I would highly recommend this salon!!

I went to Loft Hair Design for the first time last weekend and I absolutely loved it! The experience and staff was great. I had Olivia as my hairdresser and I have nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say about her! What particularly impressed me with her is after cutting my hair she would carefully look at my hair and see if there were any strands that needed to be fix. She did this a couple of times, telling me that she wants to make sure that it was all perfect. From this experience, I can guarantee that Olivia definitely puts in all of her effort in her hair cuts, and does not rush, in order to make sure that you leave with hair that you love and that she’s proud of.

I am new from Minnesota and needed to find a Stylist. I went to Ginger and she was great.... will be continuing to see her after my first experience in Fort Wayne! Happy that I dont need to keep looking!

Absolutely love my hair cut! I love the environment and everyone was super friendly. I loved the fact that there was coffee! Being a full time mom I don’t get a lot of free time or sleep so it was nice to come in and have a cup of coffee. I got a cut and color either Mandy the other day and it was truly fabulous. I am so happy with both the cut and color and had such a great time in the process. The lady that did my hair was really nice and sweet. She really seemed interested in what I wanted to do. She worked with what I wanted and she did a really great job. I would totally come back to “The Loft” I would love to go back and have Erika or even any of the other lady do my hair. They were all really nice and provided a ‘at home’ atmosphere.

I went in yesterday to have my hair colored for a fun change. My natural hair is a dark brown. Megan Kurtz was so professional, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and very thorough with my hair. My hair came out a beautiful blonde color, and actually came out feeling a lot better than when I went in. If you are thinking about having your hair colored but not sure where to look, give The Loft a call!

I was at the loft for the first time this past weekend. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the loft. I had Kiara give me a hair treatment to neutralize and then she washed, cut and styled. She also gave me a fabulous head massage.I believe the best part about my experience is that Kiara took time to listen to my concerns and my desires for my haircut and she worked hard to Create the style that I asked for. Oh em gee. Does Megan Kurtz know her color or WHAT?! This lady is the most knowledgeable stylist I think I’ve ever met. She taught me more about blonde hair in a few hours than I’ve known in the 25+ years I’ve been spending hundreds of dollars to replicate the highlights God and the sun gave me when I was a mere toddler. She NAILED IT. I drove from 3+ hours away to my home state and I am so glad I did. I will CONTINUE driving to see her as she is top notch. A natural. Kudos to The Hair Loft and more importantly to Megan (and Desireé)!

The staff is really personal with their guests. They make you feel welcome and are great at making you feel secure in the decision you make about your hair.

I came in a couple days ago and got a hair cut by Mandy. I was very specific as to what I wanted and brought pictures etc. She took the time to work with my short hair and gave me exactly what I wanted. Thank you Crystal!!! At The Loft, you will find wonderful, highly trained stylists that make you feel right at home. My only suggestion would be that they had a subscription to commercial free music because just as I relaxing into my hot towel with my lavender scented eye pillow that was provided while I was processing, there were like 4 commercials in a row on the speaker. Other than that, my experience was fabulous and my hair looked amazing. My husband loves it and hes a true critic when it comes to hair. Cant wait to see how my co-workers react tomorrow to seeing me blonde! Whos the new girl? Lol. Thats what I keep thinking when I pass a mirror. ;-)

This place is AMAZING!!! My first time here & I chose Crystal from reviews Id read & she was AWESOME. Very personable & professional & she took a lot of time with me. The neck, head & shoulder massage with lavender oil before the cut was a fantastic pamper & I was so relaxed & comfortatable! My haircut looks incredible & Im SO happy with it! Im a team truck driver on the road with my husband so I dont know if/when Ill be back to Ft Wayne, but when/if I come back I WILL return to The Loft Salon to see Crystal again. New the area and looking for a new stylist. Mandy was my stylist and she outperformed herself. I am a 40-year-old professional with thinning hair. I asked her to make my hair look smart and not crazy. She took the time to think, make adjustments, and then style my hair. I really liked her professionalism and commitment to me. I have a new hair stylist! I HIGHLY recommend coming here (and the rates are reasonable).

I have never had a salon experience like this. First a consult, then head/neck/shoulder massage, wash and condition with lavender eye pillow followed by heated towel. I was told to open my eyes when I was ready...I said grab me a pillow and blanket, see you when you open tomorrow. The cut was fantastic. Thank you Crystal for the great experience...

I was a bit disappointed. When I had called to schedule my appointment I explained how I have afro textured hard and would need someone who was comfortable working with my texture type. My hair can look intimidating but it flat irons super well as long as you take the time to blow dry correctly and the do small sections at s time while flat ironing. My hair stylist told me how shes worked on afro texture before and how she was told to get close to the roots (which is true). I was pretty unhappy with the process and results. She attempted to blow dry my hair as if I had thing hair (large sections just brushing it while blow drying) and then had to go back and do it in smaller sections. Then while flat ironing she got nowhere near my roots. I had to ask her to go back over multiple areas that if she had taken the time in the first place wouldnt have needed to be done 2 more times. Then when I get to my car I realized she did not get the roots straight at the very whole back of my head. I paid double what I wouldve if I had gone to my regular girl (she was all booked) for a flat iron that job that was worse then when my college roomates would do it when I was too lazy too. I will probably not be back because it was not work me paying more to have to go home and spend more time fixing it. All in all dont say you can handle something you cant. Nothing is more frustrating than being lied to and waisting money.

The Welcoming is amazing. They offer you refreshments and make you feel more than just a client. I even got a tour of the place which was nice. Long story short, I left the salon feeling WONDERFUL with my new hair!!! :) Jennifer made great suggestions and provided me with great tips on what could be best for my type,color and length of hair. Could not be happier!! =D Will defiantly come back to the Loft to get a sassy hair color for summer!!!

I really loved the new style and then my dad was all like, hey, I like the look and so he got his hair cut there and was so impressed that he is going to make an appointment for my mom to get her hair cut and styled there as well. Most excellent! I had Kristen cut mine and my dad had Crystal. Both did a super excellent job. If you want the best, this is the place to go.

I was in Fort Wayne, for a brief family visit, when I found this fabulous hair salon. I booked an appt. with Erin, and she agreed to color my hair even though I had a long history of using henna. She was very honest with me about the results that were possible and my results were so much better than I could’ve anticipated and then she gave me the cutest haircut I’ve had in years! One that I can actually maintain. I may need to travel to 900 miles back for my next hair need!! Seriously, even if you are a picky person about your hair check this place out you will not be disappointed! I wish I could post before and after photos because I took them and I think you’d be amazed!

LOVE Jennifer (Jen), especially for cuts. When going to someone new, they are often too timid when it comes to thinning out hair and making some stylish adjustments to your current cut. Im 45 yrs old and have been to nice salons in Dallas and the Ft. Wayne area, and I love her. So does my high school daughter, and I have people ask me all time about who cuts my hair. I give her a lot of leeway to do what is best. The last time she made some pretty big changes, and my co-workers still keep talking about how much they love my hair (and its been 6 weeks). I also love the scalp massages, neck massages, scented eye patches, hand massages, and all the little extras you get when you get your hair cut and/or colored. I get text messages about my upcoming appointments, which helps. Love going there.

I have been going to The Loft for a few years now and I have nothing but positive things to say about this salon. From the friendly staff to the awesome talent. I went in to Sara for a botched hair cut I had received from a different salon and she fixed it up so beautifully it was like it never happened. During that visit I also wanted my hair to match a Russet Red color. Sara went above and beyond my expectations. The color turned out just like the picture! I go there for my hair and eyebrows. And every visit is always amazing. The receptionist, Rylee, is such a sweetheart and immediately makes you feel welcomed. I always refer people to this salon. They never disappoint. With my long, thick, hair finding that perfect salon was always a challenge until I finally started going to The Loft. You ladies are amazing!

I have been getting my hair done here for the past 6 years. All of the stylists are good here and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The prices are mid to upper range depending on the stylist. My husband likes the neck and shoulder massage. I think its his main reason for going there!

Ive been here multiple times and always had a great experience. My cuts and dye have been great and my stylist is always ready to listen and offer advice as needed. The one time I didnt like how my hair color turned out she had no problem listening to my concerns and fixing it so I was happy with the color.

I went to The Loft for the first time and had an AMAZING experience! The receptionist was beyond friendly and welcoming and my stylist, Megan Rose, did an outstanding job! She made me feel comfortable and went out of her way to make sure we were on the same page for my color and style. I appreciated the time she took to really address my hesitations with coloring my hair. Megan Rose also took the time to show me how she styled my hair so when I got home I could actually replicated it (such a frustration when you get a great style but have no idea how to do it later!) My visit exceeded my expectations and has left me telling all of my friends to check out this salon! I will definitely be a returning customer!

Salon was welcoming as this was my first visit. My cut was perfect! Love it! But the pressured upsale on extra treatments and product left me very overwhelmed and anxious. I really really didnt like that. On the fence about returning due to the high pressure sales, and my inability to just say no 7 or 8 times to 7 or 8 different suggestions.

What an incredible experience with such a talented and friendly staff. I am not the type of girl who goes to a salon regularly, because Ive had such bad experiences with uppity, condescending mean girl types that have run the previous places Ive gone to. But the LOFT is not like that at all. They are incredibly friendly, experienced, and the atmosphere is such a fresh positive vibe. My stylist took her time, and helped me decide on the best hairstyle for my features, and she gave me great instructions for how to maintain it until my next visit, and took the time to TEACH me how to style it. (I was a confessed hairstyle newb)You CAN NOT go wrong with this place. I now keep regular appointments and never ever leave dissatisfied. :-)

Do not go to this salon. DO NOT.Some of the worst customer service I have EVER experienced!! After getting my hair done here for the first time a month or so ago I received a call saying that they “hadn’t charged me enough” when they checked me out. I missed the call while I was in class so out of curiosity I checked my debit card only to see that they had gone back and taken more of my money without my permission ( 100% illegal). I let it go and figured it was fine. I went back for my second appointment and was rudely told that I had been “taken off the schedule” because I was “avoiding paying them.” I had no notice that my appointment had been cancelled. As a college student I’m hardly ever in town so when I have an appointment set I expect it to happen. Not to mention the girl at the desk was extremely rude and humiliated me in front of everyone by accusing me of trying to steal from them when they were the ones that messed up AND they already taken the money out of my account (?!).To sum up: they screwed up, took more money out of my account WITHOUT my permission, accused me of trying to get away without paying, took me off the schedule without notifying me, AND humiliated me in front of everyone for something THEY did.DO NOT GO HERE.

I have been going to the Loft for over a year now. I was a regular a Great Clips and my hair showed it. I srarted going to Great Clips because I couldnt find a stylist that was up on current styles and trends so I settled.On my first visit I was greated with a big smike and asked if I would care for a sone coffe, tea, or water.I was nervous because I had been through several stylists in my life and was truly looking for a home. When I sat in the chair Megan H. asked me a few questions then did some lavender aroma therapy and a head and neck massage to relax me for my new hair journey.I loved my cut and the experience. The cost was double to my Great Clips but I was treated like a queen for an hour not a 15 minute wham bam thank you mame.I want to add that I were vivid colors in my hair, violet, cyan, teal, and lavendar. Megan is a New York city Redken Salon trained stylist and colorist. The Loft does not stop there training in Fort Wayne like most salons.Your hair makes a statement about who you are, have fun with it.
