If it was an option to give them no stars I would, my lady was switching in between costumers the whole time. Rushed when she got to me my nails and smuged, not the color I wanted and look nothing like the picture. When I said I did not like them she just kept going. Then proceeded to charge me 50.00 I told her I was not paying that much because they were not what I wanted. She said she would redo them but for another charge. I asked to speak to the manger and she did not do anything about it either. I am very dissatisfied

The lady who helped me was very nice. However the experience was very rushed resulting in more than half the nails to be missing polish on the sides, she made my friend and I bleed with the cuticle cutter, and she kept bending my nails forward when the previous polish was off to determine if my nails were fake. I have had acrylic done before, and I think there is a clear distinction between real nails and fake ones. If you go here, most customers were getting a pedicure. I would NOT recommend getting a manicure at this location. I again, will not take away from the fact that she very nice. Just that the quality of this experience was quite poor in comparison to other nail salons I have been too with the same price points.

Went in and stated that I wanted a pedicure. Two white girls came in behind me. I am black.They were seated for pedicure in the chair before me and they didnt have an appointment. No explanation why and how they came after me and were serviced before me. I was told to wait 5 minutes. After about 15 minutes, I was still waiting. Then the guy who told me to wait gave bottles of water to two people. He walked right past me and didnt ask me if I wanted water. I sat there getting more mad by the minute. I left and I will never go back. Felt very disrespected.

Nails very uneven and chunky And one nail was suppose to be ombré for with glitter and it looks like glitter was just randomly dumped on the nail.

I personally love this nail salon. Never had issues and I have been going here for a couple of years. I mostly go for pedicures (so relaxing and nice!) But every once in awhile I get a manicure. Staff is nice and respectful! I only ever get a simple color shellac but it always lasts me and the price is great here!

I got a delux pedicure.. well was suppose to get a delux pedicure and the guy was done in not even 30minutes. Menu said an extra massage, didn’t get that. I do not recommend this place. Bad experience and definitely not worth the pay.

My daughter and I didn’t have a wait time, I called ahead of time and Tom got us straight back. He was excellent and very polite. The place was clean and we were out in a short time. They are all good but Tom & Bill has a unique technique that’s different I recommend them

One of the workers wasn’t wearing a mask and the employees had an attitude. I was constantly asked to get gel when i clearly stated that i wanted regular polish for my acrylic nails. My nails turned out lumpy and the shape of my nails were all different. On the sign that they have outside it says that students get discount but when i asked about it they said no. Overall it was not a great experience.

Not to be “that person” but ..I went last monday to get a fill at star nails and while i was there i saw a weird gross looking spot on this finger underneath the acrylic that was like yellow and green and when I asked the guy what it was, he told me not to worry about it. he said that the last person that did my nail must have just went to hard on it. (which the last person to do my nail was a lady at star nails)wellllllllmy finger didn’t start burning until friday and it started to get worse like throbbing and my finger was hot, (really weird). SO yesterday i decided to take off my acrylics cause i seriously couldn’t stand it anymore and I saw this🤮i will never ever ever go to star nails again. that’s a hole in my nail🤢🥴

My daughter (a minor) and I came in for the first time for full sets. The peice posted was $28 for full sets. The actual process was just fine. The tech was okay. My issue is when I went to pay. They never told me the total and just ran my card. When I looked down it said $91! I only got a full set with a polish. Then I was told mine was $38 and my daughter was getting a design on all 10 nails. This was news to me as she is 14 and no one asked if the person who is paying for it agreed. Yes, she should have asked also but, once again, she is a minor. When I said she is only getting polish I was told they would take $10 off?! For what? She didnt have any designs or polish on her nails yet. I will never go back. They make up prices and dont communicate with you.

Was initially happy with my nails but the male tech I had on Monday made me feel very uncomfortable. I wasnt sure if it was a cultural thing so I was polite as I could be but he kept asking questions about if I had kids, why I didnt have a wedding ring on, if my partner wanted to have kids with me..why I dont have children. Very personal. I also think (but could very well be wrong!) that he made an inappropriate comment. He asked me if I had children and if I had a partner and I said I do have a partner but no children. I THINK he *might*have said : Oh so you can still feel him. I hate to wrongfully accuse or complain but I felt I needed to say something... These things shouldnt be asked about, cultural or not or pressed. Maybe some people cant have children due to physical, financial or emotional issues... And for all he knows my partner might not even be male and I just didnt feel comfortable explaining that.Another thing, though I occasionally go to the nail salon to keep myself looking together for work, I take precautions and am taking covid very seriously. The news channel was on in the salon and he kept making comments about how he was sick of hearing about coronavirus and there were clips of old people urging people to be more cautious. He seemingly laughed at them which upset me inside. My parents are in their 60s and out of state. My father has a bad heart and is immunocompromised. I am not even going to be able to see them for Christmas... This whole attitude about what you think politically (yes, even about covid) does NOT belong in a place of business, period and should not be something you talk about with customers.I think its fair to say I will not be returning.

Not to be that kind of person but i would not recommend i came to get my nails done lady was really rude and aggressive, and I ask them questions and tell her to stop being aggressive and she just looked at me and went and took her phone and went into the back didnt come back till another freaking half and hour. Also, yall need to stop being homophobic. a person of the lgbtq+ came in and they started laughing at him. only half my nail is painted, and they are so uneven. will never go there again the only thing I like there is the fish

They were not nice. Would not recommend. Two of us had pedicures and we were done in less than 30 min.The guy who did mine was not friendly and didnt do a good job. I have a broken toe and I dont think he tried to be gentle with it.Massage was really quick a d nothing to brag about.We only went there because location was convenient. Wont make that mistake again.

Always love my nails! I’ve been going here for over 3 years now every month and I’m never disappointed. I usually walk in and they have no problem fitting me in and are always very friendly.

I do believe in second chances to a certain extent. I do not complain. I know with some nail salons you get better quality than others. It happens.. but some people just do not belong in customer service. The man was very passive aggressive and acted as though i was an inconvenience to him. He was very rough with me and filed my nails down to my real nail, despite the fact i got acrylic long nails. He complained that I was not relaxed, enough and would shake out his hand as if I was making HIM uncomfortable and causing HIM pain. If you do not like your job, i would suggest to take a vacation or look into doing something else. I gave one star because I do not have the option to leave zero.. Although, my nails turned out decently, they are still longer than i asked for and the top layer of my skin is peeling off from the solution they had me put my hands in to remove the old gel. I do not recommend this place.

So starting off, I’m not going to mention any names of anyone in this. I don’t want to put someone’s job at stake. This review is just so people are sure of the quality experience they will get, and so nobody else has the same issues as me. I’m also going to warn that this is a long (but useful) review.I decided to go to the salon for a mani, and I have only gone one other time to this specific place. I remembered that my first experience was not great, and lots of the fumes give me some asthma...that’s normal, though. I picked out a color, took my seat, and the worker just began filing away at my nails. I wasn’t asked what shape or length I wanted...which was fine, not a big deal. I guess the worker assumed I wanted the common square/oval shape.Anyways, as I was glancing around, I started noticing little things that were missing that I normally see from a clean salon. There wasn’t the green/blue liquid for cleaning metal tools, and the nail files seemed like they were just caked in people’s nail particles. It was all fine until the worker began to really scrub my nails with the nail file. After a while, I was getting a little used to it, and my fingers were starting to get red, but I thought I’d just fix it when I got home. I decided to not watch, since it was a little painful, but I knew it’d be over soon..then the worker scrubbed my nail until I had to pull it away, since blood was now rising out of the edge of my nail. The worker was really apologetic, but made sure I knew the price was still the same. Then she used something to clean my nail, putting the tip on my bloody finger. Was that sanitary? Then she just rubbed it into the nail and continued on. It happened to another nail after that. Not sure if the worker was experiencing a common bad day, or what, but I really do not think that’s safe.The worker also seemed to be a little sick. While rubbing my hands with lotion, the worker had a runny nose, rubbed his/her face, then continued to rub my hands.I don’t normally get my nails done. I probably get them done every few months on fun occasions, but I believe that this has probably been my worst experience so far...they got the job done, though. My nails are different lengths, the two are really stinging even a day later, but I’m just glad that the color is good.I wish I could give a better review, but I’m a little nervous that my two nails might have long-lasting affects. Sorry I don’t have anything good to say, except the color. Though the reason this is a two star is the opinion from someone else I was with, since they had a better experience than me. They had some polish issues, though. There was streaks and a few bumps, but other than that, they were fine.So if you’re looking for a quick, but unpredictable place...I think this is it.

The nails look like I did them myself (I’m 10), they don’t wear shoes and they put their feet on the seats, the waiting chairs are disgusting, they speak the littlest amount of English, and they text or are on the phone while they are doing your nails!And one of my nails was coming off (not completely off) and the lady refused to fix it!!! So mad. 🤬

I will never come here again . I usually come here and today I was just surprised at how they made up a random price for my nails. I paid 60$ for a pedicure and nail polish on my nails. When the people doing my nails jumped from person to person and I spent 2 hours in here for nothing.

My experience at Star Nails has always been a great one....Ive often been a walk in, at a few chances I might have scheduled an appointment....no matter what, theyve ALWAYS gotten me in with minimal wait time....never more than 15 minutes or so. I have been going since early 2004 and have had many a nail tech do my manicures, shellac, pink/white, pedicures, deluxe pedicures (which cost more but are SO worth every penny). I have favored going to either Kim or Nikki but anyone in there will help you and will actually listen to you when you tell them what you want or even what you DONT want. Prices seem lower compared to other places but still comparable and worth spending some time and money on some me time. Check them out!

I went in there with a picture of what I wanted and she said she could do it. Walked out of there with nothing like what I wanted. Gel Nails were crooked and look like they already need filled (after only a cpl hours). very limited on their abilities and rude until they seen that their rudeness was upsetting me, then they were nice. Little too late.

Paid extra for dip services and they didnt even last a week! I was able to peel the dip gel right off! Very disappointed! Lady who did my nails was meh - not friendly nor rude! I wont go back....

Honestly the worst nail salon Ive ever been to. Did not listen to anything I or my friend were telling them. both of our nails LOOK TERRIBLE. they are bubbly and wayy to thick on my nails plus not even the color I had picked out. they did not make us feel welcomed at all and it felt like they were in a hurry to just be done. I told the lady so many times what I wanted and had to stop her several times because she was doing the wrong thing. my friend had told her lady that she thought she made her acrylics to thin and that they had bubbles in them and the lady just said no its fine. will never go back ://

2nd time and never again- rushed pedicure = no tip. In and out in 21 minutes. Staff seems to enjoy conversing back and forth with one another instead of taking care of the client.

Worst service Ive ever received. After we waited an hour after our appointment time they rushed through, didnt do a good job on anyone we were with, forgot me at the dryer, cut my nails way shorter than asked, filed SKIN not the nails... they HURT every single person in our party. There are better places to spend time and money.

I went and got my eyebrows done there. They were priced okay for eyebrows. When the lady came to my chair she didnt greet me or talk to me at all. She was too busy talking to her friend next to us to really see what she was doing. By the time she was finished I was so mad I paid and left without taking a good look at them. I get to the car and they are uneven and a nice size chunk is gone off of the right brow. I am so mad!!

Staff was very rude and treated my mother and I like we were idiots. The card machine was down and they accused my mother of not having the funds and that they would have to take the work they did off. My mother proved she had the funds and they said she was lying about it. It hasnt even been a week and my gel polish is chipping and peeling off already. On top of that when she cut my cuticles down she cut too far multiple times making my cuticles bleed and something bit me when i had my arm on the arm rest. I will never go back here or suggest it to anyone.

They are always so attentive, efficient and clean. When going to a nail salon you always want to make sure their facility is clean and that they are using new and sanitized tools when working on your feet or hands.

The lady that took care of me didn’t understand anything I was saying .. she asked me what shape I wanted my nails more than 3 times I responded and she would just look at me frustrated until I pointed at the picture .. from then on she just seemed upset . I can’t get gell because I have an allergic reaction to something in it. So I do the dipping powder she left my nails looking super thick and lumpy when I pointed it out she said that’s what they where supposed to look like . I specifically said no gel at the beginning and she started to apply top coat in gel (shellac) got super upset when I didn’t wanna put my hand under the light to cure it. But I told her at the beginning . They have so many dipping powder colors it’s a shame they don’t have the skill to apply it.

I was there last night 8/23/18 and received the worst mani/pedi experience ever. Worst massage as he rushed jumping from leg to leg back and forth. Then during the manicure the woman basically yelled at me because I put my hand in uv light too quickly and the light didn’t turn on. The icing on the cake was an elderly woman coming in for a pedicure and the woman who was working on me kept staring at her feet as she walked by us and talking to her coworkers and laughing. Completely rude and totally obvious that she was talking about the woman. I will never go back.

My friend asked for long coffin and got short square nails. The guy threatened to break her finger if she didnt relax her hand. Service was terrible!!! Got charged for a regular pedicure, nothing special and a basic manicure with Shilac for $50!!!! While getting my pedicure they spoke in a foreign language and continually pointed and were looking at the large bruise I have on my leg, I had a four wheeling accident a few days ago and banged my leg up pretty bad. Still unnecessary. Did not speak to me at all except to tell me to wash my hands and to pick a color and to pay. Extremely rude, didnt answer any of my questions and on top of it all, my toes look terrible. It was not worth 50 dollars and I wish I wasnt too nice of a person to just walk out 😤

My friend and I went into this place after work one day. I usually go to Sarahs nail art on maplecrest rd but my friend said a few years ago her and her mom use to go here and they were a good nail salon, and she lived closer to here. Well we walk in and are greeted and asked what we want. My friend was getting her acrylics filled, filed, and repainted. I wanted a gel nail manicure. I wanted a ombre on my nails with the gel and they repeatedly tell me they cant do a ombre with gel nail...(???) Okay whatever picked out a purple color with a silver to go on each ring finger. I get seated with an older lady who I asked if she could do an ombre. She said yes and started cutting my nails..she didnt ask what way I liked my nails cut so i stopped her an told her. I then pulled up a picture of exactly what i was talking about so there was no confusion. She said she understood and would get another girl to do it because she was inexperienced with ombre. She finished trimming my nails the way I liked and took me to a different station. There was a younger girl there and I said hey and showed her the picture. She begins to start and wont even look at me or say hey. She was too busy speaking another language to her friend the whole time. Then she randomly starts filing my nails..i thought she was cleaning the edges up a little but didnt realize till the third nail that she was retrimming them when the first lady had already done it.I ignored it and let her finish since she already did 3 nails. She then puts the base clear coat on for the shilac and starts to do an ombre with the purple nail color on my naked nails..i stop her and ask what shes doing? I explain what I want again and she then tells me they cant do an ombre with gel nail. Lmao..okay fine..i let it go again. I just tell her to do all my nails purple then and well call it a day. So she puts the color on my pinky nail and it wasnt the color I picked out. So I tell her to take it off my pinky nail and let me pick a different color. I look at the other colors and didnt like any of them so I tell her I dont want any of them because none of the colors were me. I then ask her to just do a regular polish color since they have a way bigger selection of colors than the gel. She tells me I have to pay 25 dollars for her doing the clear coat on my nails..i told her no I just want the clear coat off and to do a regular manicure. She then continuously ask me why and why I dont like their colors. Then says its fine and a regular nail polish manicure would be 18 dollars..i look at their prices and they are only 15 dollars..so at this point Im pretty much done so I tell her I have a color in my car Id like to go get (I really just planned on leaving And not coming back) and she once again says I still need to pay her the 25 dollars when there was absolutely no color on my nail. Then I re explain to this dumbass Im going to the car to get a nail color i like. I walk out and wait in my friends car till shes done. My friend comes out and says they cornered her and told her she had to pay 15 dollars for my manicure since I left and if she didnt theyd call the cops. Need I remind everyone all I had was a clear coat on my nails!! Im also pregnant and just wanted a relaxing evening with my friend for once. Then a few weeks later a Facebook friend posts on Facebook saying this place charged her for 3 manicures when she only got one, all because her 2 daughters sat in the chairs next to her while she got her toes done. This place is money hungry and does b.s. business. Do yourself a favor and never go to this place!!

Horrible!!!! Ive made this salon a regular place to get my nails and toes done for about a year now, and I started to notice that my nails were always breaking just days after I got them done because of how poorly and thin they always made the acrylic. I was hoping that it was just a bad time, due to never really having issues before, but this issue is something I have now dealt with 3-4 times. I also have been cut 2-3 times when getting my nails done. The last straw for me was when I walked into the shop about 45 minutes until they closed. The lady doing my nails was obviously frustrated because I had come in so late, so when she began to do my nails, her attitude definitely showed. She flicked my hands and filed my acrylics down until the were extremely thin. When she was fishined with my nails, they were so thin that they were see-through even with my nail polish on. Two days later all of my Acrylic nails had been broken in some way, even from the slightest of touches(I am never rough on them to break them on my own).I never complain or walk-out because that is not the type of person I am, and I honestly rather not cause a scene but I will never go to this salon ever again.. Very poor customer service.
