Our technician arrived and NEVER even pulled out the dishwasher to be evaluated. Said it’s the seal - that’s always the problem. AGAIN - never pulled out the dishwasher to even see. Price was to be $580 dollars and said if in his shoes he would just buy a new one. Ok fine whatever. We go shopping and was unable to fine a dishwasher in a reasonable time to replace. We called the company back and asked to have them order part and we will just pay for the service. We need a dishwasher now! We are told we have to pay the diagnostic fee AGAIN for them to come out and do the same thing. NO WAY! We order part the part to fix it our self and discover it’s not the seal but a pinhole in the tub that we could fix with a dab of job weld! Problem solved, no leaking but we are out $89 for technician to not even pull dishwasher to diagnose and a $100 for the seal that wasn’t defective. What a RIPOFF - especially for seniors on a fixed budget! Never use this company - they just take your money and are RUDE on the phone when trying to deal with. No wonder Sears went out of business. I’ll be sure to share our story with EVERYONE.
Never show up on time. Never have the parts needed which turns into a second appointment. Took 3 months to get my dishwasher fixed. They changed my appointment time for two days later on the day of my appointment for a microwave repair. Never using them again.

Repair guy was nice and knowledgeable. Kenmore Elite refrigerator stopped working after 2 1/2 years. Under warranty so we called sears. They sent a guy out who said compressor went and cost to repair was over $1000. A third of the cost of the refrigerator! We told him it was under warranty. He checked on it and then said cost of labor not included and it would be $530. It took him 2 1/2 hours to fix. So I paid $212/hr for his labor!! Totally ridiculous. More than the cost of a plumber or electrician! Highway robbery. Wont be using this company again.
I called and made an appointment with the representative ( a Lady ) and told her that I need a technician to come by and install a broken dishwasher latch handle and that the part number is WP99002839 (JennAire brand) and she said it would be $89.00 for diagnostic fee plus $32.09 for the part which was listed at Sears Parts Direct, so I said OK but when the technician arrived one hour late after the suggested window of arrival (between 8AM-12PM), he said he doesnt have the part with him and that this will cost me close to $300.00 which is way over the quoted estimate . Needless to say I didnt want to proceed with the service. They have misrepresented totally VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!! I thought Sears was better than this!!!

There was a very intermittent noise in my freezer and it never occurred while the repairman was present. I told him I thought the noise came from the icemaker and he took my word for it since he couldnt wait around for a few hours until the noise presented itself. I was wrong. The noise wasnt from the icemaker. I replaced the icemaker myself and found that the noise was still present. The noise comes from the back of the freezer where there is apparently some sort of fan blowing air around the freezer. When it whines, a sharp rap on the grill over it will change the sound, so that is definitely the problem. I dont think the repairman had a fair chance of finding that, but my problem still exists.
This was for routine, annual maintenance on the washer and dryer. The service technician seems very knowledgeable and friendly. He went over and beyond when checking each appliance. Would definitely use him again.
Our Kenmore Elite refrigerators ice maker stopped working. The tech arrived on time and was courteous, but quoted us $577 to fix the ice maker! We decided to buy old fashioned ice cube trays. Still had to pay $105 for the estimate. The poor rating is reflective of the ridiculously high repair price quoted, not the tech.
The repairman was extremely professional and courteous. I was just FLOORED that it cost me $282 for him to tighten up the deck on my mower and there werent any parts used.
After 5 months of 9 visits to correct an issue with my Kitchen Aide built in refrigerator, I was finally told I qualify for a replacement last week.I was told I would hear from a representative by end of last week to discuss details. That did not happen and told it still had to be reviewed and called this week. My satisfaction cannot be determined until thisMaster Protection Plan is validated.
They did not fix my dishwasher. They said the door was warped and it wasnt covered under the warranty
Scheduled for morning service but rep didn’t come until 4 PM. No communication from the company. No cooperation when we called them. Charged $243 to change out a door switch, that took less than an hour. The technician was great. Cordial and efficient. Will not be calling them again.
Never use this company! Long story short.....Fridge water dispenser bit the dust. 1st tech came out. Had to order part. Twice the techs never showed up to install ordered part but claimed to be at our house working on the repair. Just got the party line about getting another tech out. Customer Service did absolutely nothing to resolve our problem with getting the techs to actually show up and fix the fridge. Last time a tech finally did show up, he didnt connect everything back completely so still no water. Tech seen out in his work truck surfing Facebook instead of talking with his supervisor about our water leak (that he caused). Got home from work and fixed the fridge ourselves. Dont waste your time, money or breath on this company. Truly a shame since this company has done work for us in the past and there was never an issue.
The front desk clear was nasty and rude. Would not let me Check in even after she had a confirmation trough email. She told me she COULDNT help me and showed me the door out after I confronted her as to why she was so defensive and told me she didnt have all the confirmation of my booking. Said she didnt care and just was not helpful so I was forced to look somewhere else.
I was extremely pleased with the service repairman. He fixed the treadmill without having to order any parts so it was fixed in less than a hour.

In a rental unit the refrigerator wasnt cooling, I call them up and make an appointment. The guys shows up on time and diagnoses the problem, orders the part, nice guy. The part comes in and I make another appointment. The tenant leaves work early because the guy is supposed to be there between 1 and 5. At 5:30 she calls me, hes a no show. I call up the call center, (somewhere) and the guy says the dispatcher will have to call me back to explain what happened, but that might be in 2 or 3 hours but I can file a complaint if I like. Fine, switch me to the complaint department....45 minutes later, in another call center, somewhere, I am speaking to a person who is explaining that instead of refunding me any money (so far Im in $90 for the visit and $70 for the part), they can kindly give me a gift certificate for Sears. So theyll give me money, and I would give it back to them... I say I would like to speak to a manager and click, the call ends.I look up the part number and shocker... a Youtube video comes up on how to install it in 20 minutes. The video was even nice enough to include a link to buy the part for $14.99 free shipping. I got a deal at $70. Needless to say Sears appliance repair is added to my Dont Call List.
We called because our Kenmore fridge ice maker was not working The technician came was here about 10 minutes he pulled out fridge told us the ice maker insulation was gone and it could not be fixed. So we could get a counter top ice maker or replace fridge. And said the total was $105.44. Don’t think we will call them again.

The Service Man, Toni was very professional and explain what the problem was with my freezer. He explained why he could not complete the repairs on the first visit Toni arranged to have the parts diectly delivered to my house by UPS to save time for the follow on visit. At the completion of the repair he provided suggestions to ensure the freezer would be back to full service. Toni is a fine example of an old fashionedService Man based on Service Excellence!

I had my mower serviced by Jesse (tech id 897504). Ive had it almost 3 years and done nothing to it while mowing 2.5 acres regularly. He contacted me first thing on my appointment date and gave me an idea of when I would see him (this was service at my home). He was a little early and went right to work assessing what was needed. He reviewed what was needed with me and I approved the work. Both professional and thorough. It was crazy hot here in Florida but it did not slow him down and 1.5 hours later the work was done. He then proceeded to be sure the mower was back in top performance by mowing a large side lawn on my property. He gave me some good advice on keeping the mower at its best and recommended when to consider the next maintenance. Forgot to mention he really cleaned up my machine too! I wasnt expecting that and was kinda feeling bad the mower was such a mess when I first scheduled the service!Thanks Jesse! Ill request you next time! Nice job Sears - guess theres a reason my Dad always had Craftsman stuff and so do I!
The two technicians had to eventually order the right parts since the first technician did not order the right parts. On April 4th they came and installed the real wheels to our refrigerator (under warranty) and were both professional, courteous and got the job done quickly. We were very pleased with them.
Service tech called to let us know he was on his way. Very nice appearance of tech and he quickly diagnosed the problem with the freezer and repaired it, with no extra charge beyond the service call.
4 onsite appts, 2 reschedules to diagnose & order a part for the refrigerator waterline leak and 5 weeks later no resolution. Final appt was to install the part, technician arrived said the refrigerator leg was too broken now and couldnt be moved out to work on. Although the week before, the technician was able to get it out and order the part. Final tech took the part we paid for and left and simply offered a refund. My question now is how does the refrigerator get moved in the event of complete replacement with a new fridge. Sears used to be our GO TO.. cant quite GO TO them anymore.
Service was scheduled for 7/26, but tech called off work and the center had no back-up. I was promised an 8:30 am time on 7/1. At 9:00am I called to see where my tech was and they told me my time was 2:30pm...so much for my promise or the notification so again I was inconvenienced. Poor service and not worried about the customer.
It has been almost 4 weeks now without our Kenmoore Elite refridgerator. We have now had three visits by repairmen and our fridge is still not fixed. Very disapointed
Service technician was on time for the appointment and provided repair and education appropriate to our needs. Michael was friendly and appeared very knowledgeable, providing some information of which we should have been made aware at the appliance installation. I highly recommend this technician.
I have a Sears Home Warranty agreement and Sears Home Services as the service provider. I Scheduled an appointment with SHW and was told a specific technician with a specific ID number could be assigned to me. After two technician showed up on two different days that we’re not that individual I simply gave up and tried to schedule a new appointment with ANY technician. SHW kept telling me I had an appointment. SHS told me that same appointment was cancelled. After spending over two hours on the phone between the two companies they apparently figured out the glitch! We’ll see tomorrow morning !!! But without question I am cancelling the warranty service from Sears. It has been the most frustrating experiences with a service company ever.SHW apparently uses a third party called A&E Factory services. That company has 1 star rating on google and the only address in Florida is in Lauderdale. Both companies refused to provide service today without contacting me with a reason. Worst experience ever! Dont get caught up in the quick sand with these companies. Sears Home Warranty, Sears Home Services and A&E Factory Services, LLC you are all culpable of providing the worst service experience in history.Its amazing that a company would refuse service when a customer is promised something the company could never provide. If anyone is Watching here I would like an explanation.
After many no shows of your techs(even with confirmation e mails) I have called complaint department. next schedule confirmed??? is for Thursday Oct 3 8am-12noon. If they do not show or call, I will be notifying your legal department to see what further action I can take. I have been dealing with this issue since I believe Sept 6 or 9 no air condition since then. Very disappointed in Sears at this time.
John is very knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem with our refrigerator quickly. The part was ordered and he contacted us right away when it came in. He was very courteous. Our only frustration is that we need to have an appointment or window of time arranged for a technician to come to our home to make sure someone will be there. John hoped to arrange a visit with very little notice.
While not thrilled about my new Kenmore Oven experiencing a burned out control board only ten months after I purchased it. The Service People were great. Sears contract technician Kevin was excellent. Since we are both military Veterans we had a good conversation while he did a skilled repair of my oven.
Michael was very proficient and efficient in his repair of my washing machine. He was prompt and personable. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and installed them upon their arrival. Thank you for such good service! So glad I have the maintenance agreement with Sears!!
Our refrigerator broke down (which was a common occurrence in the past year). It took 1 week for a repairman to come. The repairman came and he said he needed to order a part which would take about another week. He said the next date he could come to install it would be 2 weeks after that. That was a total of 4 weeks Sears expected us to use ice chests to keep our food cold. Oh by the way, Sears will not reimburse for ice. So much for Sears extended warranty which states they will replace your appliance. The bottom line is we had to purchase a new refrigerator because we werent inclined to store our food in ice chests for 4 weeks. Our new refrigerator certainly wasnt purchased at Sears nor will we ever purchase another appliance from Sears.My best advice for a Sears customer is, dont get the extended warranty. There are better ways to spend your money.
Our technician went above and beyond to fix problems with our 15 year old Kenmore Refrigerator. Not only did he fix the original problem we called about, he found another that could have caused it to fail and fixed it as well without hesitating or telling us to replace it. He even told us how and where to clean our coils and made us aware of a cleaning tool we could buy online to stop it from happening again. If all the technicians they have are as professional and courteous as the one we had, you can definitely trust your appliances to them.

The dishwasher still doesnt work. The repairman installed the part but apparently didnt cycle the dishwasher to see if it would work through the entire wash cycle. Our first wash never made it past the washing without draining and then stopped. Ive rated it 2 stars only because the serviceman was courteous and explained what he was doing as he worked.
I was skeptical at first after what was going through, BUT... Being a long-time Sears Patron I was happy to hear they were healthy. I was pleased at the service. Way to go Sears!
Serviceman was great. He was efficient and knowledgeable. I was very impressed that he was able to order the part and install it same day. He got my dryer up and running in no time. I will definitely call Sears again if I have a problem.
It was easy to make the appointment. We were kept informed of when he would be here. Could even follow his truck when he was to arrive. Came and quickly analyzed the problem and fixed it. The price was fair. We will use them again.

Based on my experience with Sears Home Service to troubleshoot a mystery sound from anolder dryer in 2016, and, presently (2018) a water leak and an oil leak from a washer - I highly recommend no other but Sears Home Service for appliance repairs. Im an old lady, limited vision, living alone, and have suffered the consequences of service technicians/companies who are prone to take advantage, misrepresent, overcharge, etc. Sears Home Service is exemplary and dependable in all aspects of arranging a service call for an unruly appliance. From point of contact to completion of service call - I can depend on the availability of service people for communication - answering questions - not hurrying a customer who is slower than she used to be in speech, etc. The customer is not left wondering what time the technician may arrive. The service technicians who have diagnosed and repaired my washer/dryer were thorough, knowledgeable, and obviously very experienced in diagnostic techniques. I have no idea how Sears resources and trains their technicians, but, from a customers view and experience - they simply could not do a better job. Thank you!!!
The actual service done by the employee deserves 5 stars. He was here when he said he would come, he fixed everything promptly and even had to come back a week later to replace something that was on its last legs, which he discovered in checking out all the systems in the refrigerator. My complaint is that we were without our refrigerator for 10 days before it was fixed--the parts required were sent to our home and arrived nearly a whole week before the repairman came to actually put in the new parts. Being without your refrigerator for that long is way too long. The actual serviceman was very thorough and fixed it just fine. I doubt that I would ever again buy a refrigerator from Sears for that very reason.
The tech is great but gets no back up from the office. This is the 7th time, yes SEVENTH TIME, in 2 years he works with the very same issue on the Craftsman with no result. The tech recommends refund/return/replacement but the office tells me: I am not qualified for a return!!! The insurance is valid two more years.My question: Seven visits and a lawn mower that I can not use is not qualified - what is?The tech is worth 5 STARS and Sears customer svc one star at most.
Fridge has been declared unrepairable but guaranteed Best Protectionservice is not responding to my pleas for a replacement fridge. I am researching senior protections with the State of FL.
After four weeks without A/C, we still have no cooling in our South Florida home. Three visits by technicians, a new fan and new compressor later, our Sears Protection Agreement goes unfulfilled. We have had the agreement for almost 10 years and had been very satisfied with the maintenance of the air conditioning unit until it went out completely. We have been scheduled for another tech visit later this week, but we have become very sceptical of Sears; ability to honor the agreement in a satisfactory manner.
Super technician, very knowledgeable and professional. Replacement of burner on my range was turned down by Electrolux recommended service companies. Sears came through without hesitation. Very happy with results.

The refrigerator has been working fine for the first year. We requested an annual maintenance inspection on a Friday and it was promptly done on the following Monday. The technician was polite and when asked explained the inspection.
The warranty service was very good. They tipped me off to the fact that my dryer vent was not drawing. Turns out, I had a birds nest in the vent...which could have caught fire if left unattended. Thank you!

He never show his IDs, he told me the Van has a SEARS Logo.He never open the unit to verified mold or spray for prevent mold.He do not flush the drain.Only he said, your main filter look good.For me he stolen the SEARS salary and my warranty ready paid program

My repair man Daniel was very thorough... trying to find out where it was leaking from... he found it and ordered parts... every time he comes to repair my machine he is very courteous, very knowledgeable ... and I really enjoy having him in my home and knowing that he will be able to find the problem...thank you!!!

I am disappointed that it took as much time and effort to get my appointment with Sears. Only after 5 years of owning my refrigerator, the compressor died. No one could answer if it was covered or not, just said I needed a technician to tell me. Cost me $90 for him to tell me it died and I was not covered. Foreign speaking reps, recordings instead of a real person speaking to you, etc. Took for ever to get through to anyone. the service technician knew what he was doing (at least it appeared that he did) but absolutely no personal skills. Dont think Sears will see my business any time soon. No wonder they went out of business.......
They made the first visit promptly, and ordered parts. Parts did not arrive on time so the return visit had to be delayed over a week. Tech was so booked for the second visit that the 10 -2 window turned out to be almost 4 PM before he arrived. Parts were installed, dishwasher operation checked, and the dishwasher is working well.So, 5 stars for tech.2 stars for Sears organization for this. In addition, although Sears has every way to contact me AND they have this info in their system, I still had to chase them for info about the late tech on their second trip. Better to text/email me that hes going to be late than for me to have to chase that info thru 800 calls and being on hold.
Technician was not responsive and did not even conduct a diagnosis. Prior technician was much better. The unit still not diagnosed and the problem still exist. Waiting for a call from the repair center manager which I was suppose to get yesterday Monday but never came.
The Sears technician was on time, polite and professional. He called and spoke with the experts in Sears service center while working on our washer to confirm his diagnosis and ensure that his planned fix was the right one.

The young man called me before he came. I had about 30 minutes to get ready. He made even faster for which I am grateful.He found the problem which was INCREDIBLE: the spark plug I bought FROM SEARS since my tractor ( the second one I bought ) is also from SEARS, didnt have the point or little piece at the end of the plug which make the contact with the engine............THIS WAS A SALESMAN FROM SEARS, A SPARK PLUG FROM SEARS and I had to go all the way to Sears, waste my time, my money, I had to pay a lawn landscaping company to cut my grass since I had to wait for a technician to come to fix the problem......ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF SEARS EMPLOYEE.............

The serviceman came out in the time slot stated and called prior to getting to the house. He was very professional and knew exactly what was wrong with the washing machine. A price was quoted and he was told to go ahead with the repairs. All in all, it was a positive experience and the problem was solved quickly. I would call Sears again when any of my appliances stopped working.

I purchased an over the oven microwave November 2016, May 2017 it died, according to the warranty that was sold to me in November they would replace the microwave if it is defective. What they dont tell you is that you have to wait for 4 visits from the serviceman before they will consider replacing the unit. We have been without a microwave for over one month now and they are still making me wait 2 more days to order a new microwave. All the service men were very nice and professional. When you call the home protection # they are the worst in holding up the terms of the warranty. This is the worst customer service I have had in the 20 years or more I have been dealing with Sears. The sales people tell you one thing, but wait til you need to use that warranty....beware!
Not satisfied with the amount of time we had to wait (one week) for service on our water heater. We were without hot water during that time. Our service representative was very good. She came very late in the day (4:30pm) but stayed to complete the job after 7pm. My complaint with Sears Home Service is the amount of time til we are serviced
This is a joke, right? We were supposed to have a technician here two weeks ago. My husband took off work to sit at the house from 1-5pm. The guy showed up to do preventive service. We made it very clear to the phone person issues with the stove. The preventive guy called and had it changed to this past Monday for a repair service. Of course my husband had to take off work from 1-5 to wait for him. What happens? The same guy shows up to do a preventive service. Now we had to wait another week. My husband will take off Friday morning from 8-Noon. Lets see what happens. Very disappointed. If I could give you no stars, that would be my choice!

The experience was not the best, with us cancelling all the extra protection on all appliances except the TV which stayed as is. I do not recommend Sears Extended Warranties for any appliances. We do not pay for this warranty to be told that what is wrong will be fixed at any extra cost!
Found the problem fast and knew what he was doing. Runs quieter then when we bought new. We have always purchased Kenmore products for the last 50 years!!!!!

Do not ever buy a Kenmore elite refrigerator. Tech has been to our home 3-times. Last time to replace the compressor and the refrigerator still does not work. Scheduled to come back a 4th time. We have been without a refrigerator for almost 2-months. All our food spoiled including all leftovers from Thanksgiving. Very disappointed with Sears and their Kenmore elite refrigerator.
I received at least 6 automated phone calls reminding me of the upcoming appointment. The service repair person did an excellent job and fixed my appliance. The cost of the repair item was 2-3 times more expensive than it should have been. Total ripoff on cost. I will never use them again.
The service was extremely poor. The technician was not trained properly in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of my refrigerator and my complaints to the service supervisor fell on deaf ears. I was without refrigeration for 1 month due to the poor service that Sears now offers. I have been a loyal Sears customer for over 50 years and now I will never buy a Sears product again. Sears built a reputation on service and reliability, that now has been forgotten. My refrigerator was only 2 years old when the main components needed to be replaced. Sears service is totally unacceptable!!!!!
The length of time it takes to get repairman out is unacceptable. It took over a month to get a simple plastic part replaced in my refrigerator. What if it was a major problem? I could not have gone without the refrigerator for that long. Not acceptable....
What a waist of my time and tech. I was without a freezer for 7 days, started working 2 days before tech got there. he came in and shot a temp gun inside the freezer, freezer set at -6degree, but his gun read 10degree. i did not agree that 16 degree was a satisfactory difference. he checked something in the back of freezer, said nothing wrong- basically, you are out of luck until the next time and i will be out another 7 days before i can get service. called tech support after he left, eventually i got to a guy that ran diagnostics and miraculously, there were no flags....WHY DIDNT TECH ON THE PHONE DO THIS WHEN MY FREEZER WAS NOT WORKING 7 DAYS PREVIOUS???? WHEN ALL KINDS OF RED FLAGS WOULD HAVE GONE OFF AND MY FREEZER WOULD HAVE BEEN PROPERLY DIAGNOSED. THIS HAPPENED 2 DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING WHEN MY FREEZER WAS FULL, AND I HAD A HOUSE FULL OF COMPANY COMING- WITH NO FREEZER. GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT GOES OUT AT CHRISTMAS!!!! JUST MY LUCK. SEARS SERVICE SUCKS!!!!!
