We were in town for TSUs homecoming and went by this LEGENDARY home of soulful, succulent, Southern dishes of deliciousness and we werent disappointed! The fried chicken, smothered chicken and chops along with the mac and cheese, fried cabbage, yams, rice and gravy, and corn muffins reminded me of grandmas and NC.

I needed a new hot water heater.Josh and Kyle were scheduled to be here at 12:30. They were here at 12:30.They were both very kind and courteous. They are obviously well trained and skilled in their profession. They had the old one out and the new one in in no time. Obvious team work. Before leaving, they explained everything to me and asked did I have questions. They covered all bases. Very pleased.

Jake Moffitt performed a whole house plumbing inspection of our house and replaced a kitchen sink drain pipe. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous. We are very happy with his work.

We had our AC unit break down on us in the middle of a Florida summer. We called Best home services and they had someone at our house immediately. Our service tech John Ervin did an incredible job and had our AC running in an under an hour in addition to running a full diagnostic on the system to ensure that our unit was still functioning as efficiently as possible. The service was very professional and all the pricing was upfront and fair. I would definitely recommend Best Home services and John for any AC repairs you may need.

Best Home Services was quick to answer my emergency call on Labor Day, after returning from a mini vacation got home to an extremely hot home. Called Best Services and in less than two hours on a holiday David was at my home replacing my Dual Run Capacitor. Made what wouldve have been a disastrous end to our family vacation, and small blip on the radar. Thanks!

Our experience was awful. The first technician that came out told us it was a problem that didnt even exist. Then proceeded to not even fix the problem because he didnt have the parts. He told us our valves for the shower needed to be replaced. The job was going to be around $800. We have to put $580 down for the second tech to come out the next day to fix it. The second tech showed up and said it wasnt the valve but was a leak in the pipe. Said we would be charged a service visit and the rest of the money would be refunded into our account. That was a week ago and we still dont have the money. So a fixed piece of pipe cost us almost $600. I have called and called but no one ever answers there phone or returned my messages. I talk to a person to cancel my A.C. work and told them what happened and she was rude and told me she could do nothing. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I will never get any work done from them again. That blue tube cost me $600 and a hole in my wall.

I do NOT recommend Best Home Services to the highest degree! I contacted them in early July because one of our AC units went out and needed to be replaced. The initial consultation was great and sounded too good to be true and it was! We purchased a new AC unit and was told we had a second unit about to go out, so we purchased a second one. That is two brand new AC units paid for. Since then, we have experienced nothing but issues. The units still are not operating properly with moisture dripping from the vents, unit covered in condensation, sealant melting, not keeping up with temperature settings (none of these issues were experienced with the old units). In addition, there was damage done to drywall during instillation that is impossible to get them to coordinate and fix (one guy came out once and spent 4 hours cutting sheetrock to patch 4 holes without mudding and all in areas that cannot be seen). Had a manager and top technician finally out who agreed that the system was not installed correctly and that one of them would be out personally to make sure everything would be done correctly. That day came and no one showed! I had to call and was told that the manager was not in that day and my job was bumped and would come later in the day. They showed 6 hours later, and the other technician never showed, and they worked until 8:00 PM. They said they had the list to do but again it does not appear that all the work was done. 12 hours later the unit was offline again! I have filed unsatisfied with their constant evaluations and have tried to call and get a hold of the manager Phil and have gotten zero response. I have left messages with their customer support line with zero response! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

When our AC recently failed, Colby Mcilroy from Best Home Services came for the repair. Hes the best AC Technician we have ever had! Very professional, polite, and knowledgeable.We have had so many AC technicians in our home who seem more like sales reps working on commission than service reps. Many seem more interested in selling us additional products or services than solving our current issue. We have, in the past, been very turned off by the hard-sell tactics of many AC technicians. Colby is not that way. He first focused on fixing our current problem. Then when we asked him questions about items that had been recommended to us by past technicians, he gave us informative, honest answers. We feel we can fully trust Colby and his recommendations.We plan to always ask for Colby in the future for any of our AC needs.

David convinced me that he was well informed, knowledgeable of our history of problems with the system and provided great service and advice. He also suggested that I contact him directly in 2 weeks to determine if his fixes have resolved our issues.

One of the BEST companies (Pun Intended) I have worked with since moving to SWFL, John was very Knowledgeable, was brought in to fix issues from previous installer (Island Aire) found multiple issues with the installation and wiring, repaired everything and got brand new AC unit back up and running. Needless to say they will be my new AC, plumbing and Electrical company. I am not impressed very easily but from the beginning this company impressed me.

We had plumbing issues. Matt Smith installed an all house filter system. We also had a plumbing issue which he took care of. We are very pleased with Matts work. He made sure everything was right before he finished the work. We will ask for Matt in the future because we trust him to be honest with us which is very important.

Well I made a review once already. I went to fill out an application the 1st time. I sent Steve and Jordan an email that night to help paint a better picture in more detail of who I am rather than an application. In hopes of getting an interview. Well, I was ask to come in for an interview. I was offered a position. I start on the 19th which is tomorrow. Im definitely excited. Every thing is now as normal. The Diagnostic work was accurate, a shrub root had invaded a cracked sewage pipe causing our problems. Technician cleaned out our sewage lines...and at night...provided evidence of the problem, solution, and a fair price....and arraigned for followup repair of the cracked sewage pipe...which occurred the next day. Best Home Services did a thorough job. Mike, did the repair work on the Sewer line. He was meticulous, and thorough. He had to carefully remove a lot of earth, in a very confined space, surrounded by bushes and embedded with other utility lines. He did this alone, found the cracked sewer pipe, repaired it, and put everything back as it was before he showed up. A very professional job...at a fair price.

Ryan arrived yesterday after calling and notifying that he would arrive at our homein approximately 30 minutes. He immediately began the project of installing a kitchen disposal unit in our newly renovated kitchen.after Home Depot told me it was not possible because of lack of space under the sink. Not only did he have thekit that was required in his truck but completed the work in relatively short time.He was polite and we are delighted to have our new Insinkerator installed and working. The funny thing was my system just decided to work when John showed up, he turned it on and the compressor kicked in, the readings were right on too, what a cool guy, lol. Highly recommend.

AC was not working. During their diagnosis they didn’t have a definite answer so wanted me to pay $1500 for a diagnostic test. I had a different company come out in a couple hours and they found the issue immediately without an expensive test.

Had Best Home Services come out to do a standard maintenance on my AC unit which is only two years old. They told me on of my capacitors on the outside unit was degraded and should be replace. They explain how they could put this device in front of the power to make it transition on and off which would protect the electronics along with a corrosion device. They gave me a price of $960 (with no breakdown of parts and labor) which I told them to go ahead with that. Afterwards, I found out all three parts I could have bought for between $75 to $100 for all of them. That means they charged me $800 for one hour of service it took the technician to install them. I would not recommend this company; they are EXTREMELY over price and I feel I was scammed because they did not show me the breakdown of the parts and labor. I would not of made the decision I made if they were upfront with me.

The plumbing side of Best Home Services was hired to move our laundry, install whole house water filtration, and completely re-pipe our home. Job cost was ~$12K. It was the first step in updating a 20 year old house we had just purchased. BEST was able to come out quickly, and workers were friendly. After being told the work was complete, we had a few issues, the worst of which were water leaks. One leak damaged drywall, insulation, and personal possessions we had stored in the garage. BEST responded quickly to make repairs. Obviously, things could have gone better, but in my experience few contractors get jobs right the first time. Sad, but true. My measurement of today’s professional is what they do after they make mistakes.Next came amends for damages. That literally took years to sort out, but was eventually resolved. BESTs settlement agreement presented the final challenge. Their contract included an anti-disparagement clause that research showed may not be legal. BEST eventually agreed to change the wording, so we were finally done.Yes, it took 3 years, but I still feel that Best Home Services is a company that deserves to survive. If asked Would I hire them again?, I can honestly say that while BEST may not be my first choice, they certainly wouldn’t be my last either. When all was over, BEST had done the right thing on all fronts.A word on anti-disparagement. Honest reviews help potential customers see what current users of a service have experienced, good or bad. Without reviews from friends, neighbors, or previous customers, you may as well throw darts at the phone book. Anti-disparagement clauses try to compel customers away from posting reviews that companies don’t like. A federal law exists called the Consumer Review Protection Act. That law gives customers of a business the right to honest assessments of how a business performs. The law found that companies who earn good reviews by simply doing good work are damaged by the selective removal of so called negative reviews. An honest review may seem negative to a company doing poor quality work, but it is a positive tool for potential customers working to cull a list of potential contractors. Compliance is enforced through each states Attorney General Office.

TJ came to complete my annual A/C maintenance and found that the electrical throughout the unit has become corroded and advised this needs to be resolved soon. He also explained that the motor would be better protected with a surge protector, which he had on is truck and installed right away. I have an old 20+ year Frigidaire unit that parts might not be available for future repairs. So I am thankful for his advise and wisdom to aid me in keeping this old dinosaur a few years longer.

Ive never use their service but I sure have rescued a few people from their high prices its no wonder they have 4 trucks ready all the time with the prices they charge and their drivers about got rear-ended by one of them young kids dont know how to drive

Since I had many issues in the past with Best Home Services, and had requested, and was told, that I would be sent someone who was familiar with the issues. However, another maintenance tech was sent, and I was a bit apprehensive, but he turned out to be excellent, was knowledgeable and efficient and explained every thing to me. I would definitely request him again.

John the tech was very friendly. Took pictures to detail the issue and was very customer service oriented.

Used multiple services. 95% were high quality. Repiping of house--very good work performed efficiently. Work to replaster walls will be good soon. Current installation of new heating and air conditioning going very well and efficient.

I called Best after being completely dissatisfied and taken advantage of by Conditioned Air. From the 1st call to the completion of service, every aspect was extraordinary. Everyone was professional, sensitive to my needs, and FORTHRIGHT. The technician was phenomenal, performing tests, cleaning, etc. The result was totally satisfied customer. The cost of the service on 2 systems and full contract on both was far less than I expected and available from other AC companies.John Peterson, the technical representative was excellent and his explanation of issues and suggestions valuable and honest.Best is truly the Best. You may pay a little more for the service etc..and their pricing structure is not as competitive- but this organization is so efficient and so much more organized than the others that it is worth paying more for the service. They had recently installed 2 new AC units at my home. the quality of work and overall experience was great and I was fine paying a premium. I called them tonite for an AC system not working at my brothers home where I am his “home watch person” . John the service tech was very professional and did an excellent job. He came out at 8pm.I don’t think you can go wrong using them but remember they are not the cheapest service available but for me I am fine paying a premium for qualityService. they are doing something right.....thank you. I had Chris come out on Wednesday due to my AC not functioning. Its an old unit so i decided to go ahead and replace. I talked to Chris about concerns that I had in my daughters bedroom (it consistently runs warmer). He said that hed install a new return vent in her room in order to remove the hot air and make it cooler. I was very pleased and more excited that the install would be next day (now yesterday). Will and Julio showed up for the actual install (2+ hours later than estimated). They get right to work, no issues.. 5 hours later, Will comes in to say that they are done (but hadnt done anything in my daughters room). I ask about the room- he says he had no idea about that and that he doesnt have the equipment on the truck to do that but that i could call to have someone else come out. Great. I called in shortly after they left and was told that the install department would reach back out to me shortly... Still waiting. Giving the review a 3 because the AC and handler appear to be functioning but the install is not yet complete based on the previously approved quote.*UPDATE*Shortly after posting the initial review (within minutes) I heard back from the business to schedule the return vent installation. They weren’t going to be able to make it out until Wednesday due to part availability. I ended up receiving a call stating that the appointment would need to be rescheduled until Friday afternoon. Friday comes and I received another call stating that the appointment would need to be rescheduled because the tech was running behind and if I remained on the schedule he wouldn’t arrive until about 8 at night. It was rescheduled for Saturday AM. Will and Julio arrived promptly on Saturday AM and the work began. Before their departure, I was told that they would have to return “by Monday afternoon” to put the actual plate on because they were given the wrong part. They did arrive Monday afternoon to complete. So for anyone who is counting.. I had to give up time on 6 different days in order to get this resolved! It’s finally done and all seems to be well (fingers crossed).

Main home pipes clogged/ backed up. Tech came in a timely fashion and explained options before undergoing work. Pressure cleaned pipes outside of home and under sink. Drains now operate like new. Costly service, but good to know we shouldn’t have problem again. Tech was professional and courteous.

Ryan is the best plumber I have ever had in my home.Does everything he can to help. I will recommend him to everybody. Cant say enough good things about him. We need more like him.

This service visit was all that any home owner could possibly ask for. The technician was so nice, did such a good job, left no debris for me to clean up, and even my dog liked him. He is the only plumber that I will ever want to answer a call to my home.

Shower head attachment pipe leaking. Person A snapped shower head off and called person B to Cut hole and replace pipe. Then suggested I call another sister company of theirs to finish the job. Sister company ran a dehumidifier for 5 days. Called back to have person C close hole and finish attaching shower head. There are way too many moving parts and people.From my experience my suggestion would be to not use them if you don’t plan on filing an insurance claim.

I earlier gave 4 stars for promptness and the service tech was very personable that’s it. I won’t go into all the details but I was quoted $2400 almost $3000 without the discounts for a job that I fixed today for $16. I personally would not recommend Best for any job. Couldn’t imagine if I was some elderly person or single woman that could not do the job themselves. And the annual service plan. Look out before they try to slip that one by you..

I called Best Home Services to repair an AC system. Technician came out promptly and diagnosed a motor problem. Quoted $850 for repairs, but suggested a complete new system for over. $5,000.I called another company, who also came out promptly, and diagnosed the problem as only a relay. Repair cost $150.It became apparent the repair the Best guy suggested would not have seven gotten the system working.
