We just purchased a new property for our uncle . After purchasing we noticed water dripping from the sheetrock. We thought the problem was condensation but not sure and called certified heating and cooling Darren arrived and immediately asked if the neighbors upstairs were home. Darren diagnosed the problem was not only a drainage issue in our unit but in the unit upstairs. He promptly corrected the problem for us as well as the neighbors upstairs who are not even here. he saved not only us but other people a potential disaster. He was very professional. Very attentive to detail. We are very happy with the service, timing and resolution of the problem.

We’ve always had the BEST experience with Darrin as our service technician. He is always professional and incredibly thorough. He takes the time to explain what he’s doing and the “why” for any suggested service. And almost every time he visits he catches something that might need our attention. His first visit he noticed that another HVAC company that had been doing our maintenance had replaced the filters even though they had been charging us for it. This most recent visit he pointed out that our recently installed hot water heater leak sensor wasn’t even plugged in. It gives me peace of mind knowing our AC is working properly, especially when we’re away for the summer. So great he’s looking out for us!

Emailed company this morning about our AC unit not working. Compressor fan stopped working. So we shut the unit off last night.Got text message and follow-up call that a technician would be out today Thursday April 29th between 12 and 3 pm.Got Text message stating technician was on his way to the house about 12 pm. With Picture, name and background of technician. Darren arrived introduced himself and listen to what our issue was. Darren then went to work and determined that our starter capacitor was bad. Minor issue. We then talked about protecting the equipment from power brown outs which happens frequently in the summer time. Darren noticed our surge protector and back-up generator. He explained all options and I chose the storm protection kit. Darren installed the parts. Checked and adjusted system and programmable thermostat to properly achieve our cooling needs. Darren is very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a pleasure to meet and deal with him.

I called this company when my air conditioner wasnt working. They stated that they would at least have to replace the plenum for $900 and that all my duct work would have to be replaced. The guy who came out to quote it said that it was mandatory to bring the house up to code and add a return in every room and that it would cost around $8-9000.I was concerned that my home inspector hadnt caught this and called him to discuss it. In the process he informed me that existing houses do NOT have to have a return added in every room. Surprised, I called another air conditioning company. They resecured the plenum for $150 and estimated that the duct work will cost $3400. They confirmed that the code does not require a return to be added in every year, although they did recommend a second one in the master.

I used this company in 2016 to install a complete new system. Since then they have maintained the system. Today 2/10/21 they sent out Alec to make a repair. This gentleman was a great guy, knowledgeable, and was very detailed. The end result was outstanding and he cleaned up a mess that had been there a while to make it look great and like new. Thanks Alec, well done. Thanks Certified, for making things right and going above and beyond. I made the right choice 5 years ago. 👍👍👊👌

I spent $1,200 to prevent the build up of material in the condensate discharge line. Never was I informed that there would be a build up of calcium from mineral free condensate that would clog a copper line. I will now have to develop a solution for that.

They came out the exact same day and got my AC up and running. They promptly came back out and gave me an estimate to have it replaced. Needed to replace my 20 year old A/C system. I obtained a few different estimates and Certified H & C were very competitively priced, but what stood out was the time spent to answer all of my questions, and I had a lot, by Brandon in sales and by both techs Nick and Clint. The company is on top of the ball big time, with their hi tech coordination with customer appointments that are set, and are very prompt and keep you 110 percent in the loop at all times. Air condition failed overnight, I called at 9 AM and the tech was here by 10:30. It was a Saturday, technically off hours but they came through. Since we have become customers we have expected and received excellent service. Yesterday our ac went down and Dan, their technician came to the rescue. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Most important, we felt he really cared.

I had a rather complicated issue with balancing the conditioned air into rooms that were subjected to late afternoon solar heating. This required some degree of technical skill in order to accomplish this. After one attempt it wasn’t quite right and they quickly returned and made some changes that were very successful. You have to pay for the product from all providers, but how they stand behind it is where the true value is..great job!

Certified installed my system and I purchased a maintenance contract through them. I have had these contracts before and was never very impressed by the maintenance services that were provided. Had a new AC installed in September. The inside unit that was installed is SO loud. If you are anywhere close to the unit you cannot hear anything and when watching TV downstairs we have to turn the volume up to hear anything. We have tried multiple things to cover the unit and none have worked. Our previous unit gave us no issue when it came to sound. I wish a different unit would’ve been installed.

I generally am unimpressed with HVAC contractors as too often their knowledge just isnt beyond basic and lack an understanding of fundamentals however the last 2 techs we had for our property from certified have been the best I have met in my life. With their help we have been able to significantly improve our system and fix some of the problems from the original construction. They have been terrifically responsive and consistently can diagnose and fix the issues without having to return.

I had my 2 year old AC system serviced yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by the technicians professionalism, patience and knowledge. Mr. Johnson went out of his way to be sure that everything was working proper and that I knew all the functions of the programable thermostat and even showed me how to download the App. to my cell phone. By far the best technician I have had come to my home is the eight years of living in Florida.

Ray came out on the weekend and spent a lot of time looking at our ductwork and provided a well priced estimate compared to some other companies that came out. They showed up on time on the day of install. They removed the old equipment, installed the new unit, and modified the ducts before it was even 2:00pm. There were some minor issues that had to be addressed after the fact but they took care of everything that was promised. I’d highly recommend them to anyone and you can’t beat the price for the Trane system they installed. Very friendly staff and good communication from them throughout!

Certified came out October 2020 to troubleshoot an A/C problem I was having combined with giving me a new AC estimate. Their response time and methods were awesome. I got a photo of our service tech before he arrived. Got text messages and email. I was really impressed. His name was Ray and he did a good job on the repair, and provided a lot of information (and tolerated all of my questions). Well, 4 months passed before I was ready to move on a new AC unit. I called to get the ball rolling. Ray was no longer there, but they sent out Brandon, a nice enough guy who was on time and courteous. However, I just felt like I was being talked down to a little bit and that our conversation was not making progress (as though the unimportant things were being overexplained, and the topics that would have helped us make a decision werent really being discussed, despite my questions). I wasnt prepared (hadnt cleared access to the ceiling crawlspace or covered the floor so our 6 month old wouldnt encounter fiberglass) for a duct inspection, which Brandon showed up apparently ready to do. I wish Id known in advance. So he said, without knowing the conditions of the ducts, it was hard for him to give me a price. He kept repeating (as though I didnt get it the first time), that the company is not going to put an AC unit in if we also have duct problems, because then Ill be mad at the company. If youve ever had a Sears window estimate, this felt too much like that . . . the Lets sit down at the table so that we can justify our markedly-higher prices to you type of conversation. At the end of about an hour, I had a quote for $5000-$6700 for a ductwork re-do on a 1700 sq ft house with 10 vents, and $6200 for the A/C install. It was hard for me to believe that there was no way of confirming duct condition other than going up into the crawlspace, but this is what another company had to do as well. The other company quoted me $7000, which included the ductwork re-do at about $200/vent and a system with a 3.5 ton/16 SEER system at $4800. So it was like getting the duct work for free compared to Certifieds estimate. With a several-thousand-dollar savings, I had to select against Certified. However, I appreciated their prompt service, good work on the repair, and good communications regarding the appointment. I would call them for a repair in the future, but their estimate was too high for me for an a/c system install.

Brandon was very professional and on time. He was very helpful on explaining how to keep up with things like changing your filter regularly. He already scheduled the next appointment for December. Certified is a great company, and Brandon is a great technician.
