Do NOT rent here. The management is absolutely ridiculous! They’re horrible about communication. We were directly misinformed about how much our rent would be for renewing our lease. Then after we signed the lease, they change it almost $100 extra from what we agreed to pay.
This is the worst apartment I have ever rented. Not only did the rent increase by over 100 dollars a month after my first lease, but there was a massive flea infestation in multiple units as well as the communal laundry building. My unit appliances are all incredibly old and some are falling apart. The online payment system has also failed multiple times to take payments, resulting in late fees which the property managers refuse to refund. This most recent one resulted from them saying there was an update to the online portal, without properly communicating that we would have to re-register for the portal. I checked my online account, bank account, and called the property managers, leaving a message about my concern, to no response. By the time that point had finally been communicated, a late fee was put on my account again. Do not rent from this complex.
This place cost so much. Been here almost three yr and now paying almost 900 for one room. I started out paying 625. Everything is old and breaking down all the time. Not worth the price.
We have lived here for about three months and it has been amazing! Although I can hear the neighbors sometimes that is what happens when you live in apartments! The maintainance is really on top of things and I espically like working with Johnathan he always is very friendly and fixes everything we need so quickly and gets it right the FIRST time. When we moved in our fridge wasnt working and we got a new one same day! Highly reccommend this place for military couples because of the distance to Ft. Bragg and location.
I sit on my balcony every-day. They call me MISS MARY APT 937. AND ALL Ive been seeing is great progress. This complex is looking more beautiful by the day. First off thanks Matt for all you do in this community and also I want to give a thanks to Joe in such a short period of time you have done so much improvements to our community. You all are outstanding. Job well done.
Absolute great changes taking place here . First off Matt is absolutely awesome all the way around.. Hands down!!!!! Joe and the crew have done a tremendous job in this place in such a short time. He is also a great asset to the complex. Already feels like hes been here forever. Lawcare is great. My family really enjoys this close knit feel community. And is going to miss it when our lease comes to end and we pick up a new chapter in another state come December. Again you guys are doing such a tremendous job ☺Hats off Applewood Village Crew!!!!!!!! #927
I have lived at Applewood Village Apartments for almost three years and have highly enjoyed this community as my home. The units are comfortable, a great value financially, and convenient for military personnel (apartments are just minutes near both Yadkin and Riley gates to Fort Bragg). The apartment manager and maintenance staff are hardworking and accommodating; Matt, Joe, and Adam will go the extra mile to effectively care for our concerns in a timely manner. Looking forward to continuing living here!
I live in the housing community next door and Ive been seeing and hearing alot of work going on. So after going to the Speedway gas station as I am a frequent shopper I ran into one of your tenants that I always see in the neighborhood. Long story short she explained to me that we cant expect the neighborhood to improve unless we all come together. And as I drove home I decided to check the complex out and I shall say I dont know whos in charge and whats going on but it looks great neighbors...
One of the few fully furnished places in Fayetteville that is affordable. Anyone who knows Fayetteville knows that its not the safest places around but I will admit Ive never worried about my safety since Ive lived here. The office staff are nice and always willing to help. Its a smaller complex but that suits me well as I tend to keep to myself. Mostly military and younger couples but theres a good mix of people here. Anywhere you go you will find a problem person or two but they dont seem to last long here as the property manager doesnt put up with stupidity or people doing anything illegal. I plan on staying here for a long time and just wish I would have known about this property instead of being miserable at other local properties. I would give 5 stars, but their only downfall is the small laundry facility they have. Its not hard to go to a laundromat but not having to do so would be awesome. Unfortunately everyone seems to want to do laundry at the same time, so I just go 2 minutes down the road and do my laundry there instead of waiting for an open machine. Truthfully though its a small price to pay for having such peace of mind and feeling safe and relaxed. Highly recommended.
Hello! Thank you Matt and Joe (and Adam!) - you have been easy to work with as my fiance transferred apartments. Thanks for being hassle-free! We upgraded from a one bedroom to a two bed / two bath within Applewood Village, since well get married in a few weeks. The apartment meets our needs, the price is more than fair, and the tenant rules are more flexible than other places we visited (for instance, some apartments dont allow you to hang pictures with nails, or charge you a monthly $50 fee + non-refundable $400 deposit for a pet...Applewood is just a $250 one-time fee!) Believe us, we shopped for the best value for the quality, and Applewood is it! Plus, our neighbors are kind and made us a welcome home cake :)
Friendly community. Maintenance speedy and professional. Great place to live.
Quiet community, staff is on top of every problem or issue great place to rent short and long term
Weve lived here nearly 8 months. The staff is organized and extremely friendly. Nothing goes unfinished. Matthew is an amazing property manager and will single handedly go out of his way to make sure the leasing requirements are met! Joe and his Maintainance staff are hard and efficient workers!!! Great community for families af all ages.
Great community Joe and Matt have taken away the dim frown this complex once had. Great Job
We have lived in this complex for almost 4 years. We have never made a late payment and have always been respectful tenants. A few days ago, our friend who was staying with us committed suicide in our parking lot. My husband and I were completely devasted especially since my husband actually saw his BEST FRIEND dead on the ground. That afternoon we spoke with the office manager and told him it was too much to stay in that unit due to what happened and he assured us he would try to get us into a unit on the other side of thw complex so we wouldnt have to see it every time we walked outside. I was informed today that our complex OWNER refused to move us because it happened in the parking lot and not the unit. I honestly thought that we would be able to get away from that unit because of the traumatic moment we experience, but we were denied and not nicely. I would not recommend to anyone. **Side Note: The apartment manager Matthew is an awesome guy who tried his best to help us out in a very difficult time and Ill always appreciate that**
This place is an absolute scam. Initially I was under the impression utilities were included in with the rent, but the property manager actually keeps the utilities on the complexs business account. I was not made aware I had the option of putting the utility accounts in my name until advised by another tenant I could do so. That tenant also advised their electricity bill is normally no more $50. This spiked me to do a little investigating. Tenants who have their electricity bill on a personal account only spend around $50. I am sure there is a possibility businesses are charged at a This rate from residential customers so thats when I decided to contact Duke energy to put the electricity in my name. Upon contacting Duke energy I discovered $110 difference in one bill and $100 difference in another with the numbers they provided for the last two bills upon which the deposit was based. When the property manager receives the bill he TYPES a memo which simply states the name of the complex, your apartment number and the amount owed for the bill. My water bill was over $100 every month but we had no trash pickup. I walked my garbage to a dumpster. Im married and we have two children. Its no way we used $130 worth of water every month. After leaving I discovered there were some major leaks around the complex. Im sure I helped pay for that. My rent was $800 a month for about genuinely no more than 800 sq feet of space. Jamestown Commons near Yadkin gate is $852 for a three bedroom. You have access to a community pool and a fitness area. Applewood is very easy to get into and you will discover shortly its the biggest mess ever.
I tell everyone I know who is looking for a place in Fayetteville NC to check out Applewood. Most places around here want a fortune for a fully furnished apartment. Not only did I not have to buy any furniture they provided me with internet and cable tv or free. They may not have the fancy amenities of other communities in the area but they provide me something I desire more than a pool I might use once. They are quiet. No loud parties or cars blasting music all hours of the night. I dont worry about my car being broken into, or my girlfriend walking to her car alone in the morning. The manager, Matt, is always willing to help even if I dont deserve it. Maintenance fixes problems quickly, which is surprising since there arent many of them. I had a leak at 2am and they came out 10 minutes after I called and got me fixed up. They even allow me to have my dog here unlike many places in Fayetteville that arent pet friendly anymore, and I dont have to pay a monthly pet rent. I highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet place to check out applewood. If you are someone who plans on making a ton of noise or become a problem please dont look here and ruin it for everyone else.
