I love this place everyone is so friendly if i need something they are very attention to detail. I would recommend this place to everyone.
This is definitely a military friendly community. It’s quite and the authorities live on property to keep safe. I give it 8.5 out of 10 for sure.
Well as for my experience as a first time mover.I would have to say that everything is very well constructed. Cadre has answered all of my questions and pricing for the apartment was exclusive. Though they could organize the contract a little more. Add the financial stuff in one page or two and billing in another etc etc. Just things that talk about a specific subject and that relate together.some misspelled words here and there but all was able to be understandable. Other than that everything is outstanding.
Great quiet area for me. It was close to post. Only issue I really had was parking because garages were right in front of my building so getting a good parking spot anytime after 5 or 6 was hit or miss.
I leased a 3 bedroom, furnished apartment while I was TAD to Bragg with the Navy. I couldnt get out of there fast enough.1. The apartment had fleas from the previous tenants. It took the management over 4 weeks to get me a vacuum cleaner that actually worked to take care of the fleas. They bombed it three times, but if you do any research on line, the only way to get rid of fleas is to vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. It took my command to get involved before did anything.2. The furnished apartment doesnt come fully furnished. You would expect a dining room table to be provided in a furnished apartment, no? When I asked about the lack of one, I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I feltike the management tried to make me feel like I was the one in the wrong for thinking that a table is expected. Their offered solution was to push two desks together and use the provided chairs. I paid a $1000/month premium to have a furnished apartment. I do not feel like it was money well spent.3. They only offered queen beds, no twins, and the beds were... well, I ended up sleeping on the couch because it was more comfortable.4. I felt like what they provided for me to use in the kitchen was found in the clearance aisle of goodwill. They did provide me with some new plates and silverware when I called them on it, to be fair.5. I felt like they were slow to fix issues. I had my heat out for a week, the only after-hours door to the common spaces was broken for over a week, the flea issue... they were just very non-responsive to me.6. The TV was smaller than my computer monitor. Not joking. All in all, I feel like they spared every expense to give the cheapest furnishings money can buy and did not provide a level of customer service that was commiserate with the premium that I was paying to live there.100% I do not recommend.
When I first moved here I thought the place was horrible and was ready to leave literally the day I moved in. But as I continued to stay I found it be quite ok. There are a few things I would change though like adding actually dressers in the room, a bed with a headboard and a bigger TV. Other than that everything else was ok. The apartment was clean and sanitized when I moved in that was a plus. The guys that work in the office was super nice and the maintenance guys was always there when I needed them. They send you updates in your email asa to what is going on in or around that area. They also do things for the holidays which I always seemed to miss. The complex was really close to the base which was great. If I had to do it all again might or might not. But I had no issues after a while. I did meet some good neighbors also while I was there. All in all the apartments were good. I let them know in advance when I was leaving and I was good. And I cleaned it as it was when I arrived.
I wouldn’t recommend this apartment at all. Terrible experience. Was charged an additional month when my lease was already up and turned in my keys prior. Trash was consistently always over flowing at that place. Staff never answered the phone to get mail. Consistently had issues with the apartment, there as no upkeep.
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Kain. PICK ANOTHER APARTMENT COMPLEX!!! I spent right at 2 years in this apartment complex. Do NOT choose this apartment complex. We had a terrible experience with the management there. My husband and I were moving to a new duty station and requested management walk through our apartment prior to us moving. They said they couldnt and that we should just drop the keys off in the rent drop box. My husband dropped off the keys the night we left for our new duty station. We still had to pay an extra months rent since we got our orders late. A couple of weeks later we get a move out statement saying that we STOLE the dryer out of the apartment and they took $660 out of our deposit. My husband called to rectify the situation as they were the only ones who had the keys and they basically dared him to sue. My husband has called constantly to speak to the manager but they are always in a meeting and are unable to talk. DONT CHOOSE THIS APARTMENT IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!! The management exhibited a pattern of disrespect anytime we needed assistance with repairs or simple questions during our time at Independence Place Apartments. If you value your money, I would spend it someplace else. The apartments were filthy when we moved in and we found a cockroach the first night. There is always heaps of garbage by the dumpster and Ive seen lots of dead rats around the parking lots left for weeks at a time. When we did put in a work order for broken dryers (the dryer we supposedly stole) it would take upwards of 2 weeks to have it fixed. Once it was fixed it broke right away and my husband had to fix it himself. The list goes on and on. Please dont get scammed and taken for a ride, choose any other place. I was in APT 411 and 318.
The area and apartments are really nice and the price is affordable for budget friendly people.
Could use some cleaning and maintenance around the stairs.
Good 👍 apartments
The apartments are fine. The cost initially seemed reasonable. However, you are not warned about giving official written notice early enough to do anything about it. I was personally told that upon my check out August 14th, That I would be billed for an extra month but that the cost of the garage would be taken off the bill. They charged me for two months extra. They did not take the fee for the garage off of the bill. They then said that I broke a desk and charge me for that as well. They provided no evidence of this and it was definitely not broken upon a time of move out. They used COVID-19 to justify making it very difficult to talk to anyone in the office and get anything in writing pacifically so that they could charge me more upon move out. Upon calling them and explaining that I was being wrongly charged they essentially dared me to sue them for the charges and refused to consider any type of refund despite acknowledging that I turned in my keys 2 months prior.
Failed to make repairs, failed to call back there own website saves your number in the correct format but then doesnt save your complaints due to format error. Sign lease renewal, and still getting over charged on rent. Reason for no response to calls and email, COVID-19 the office will be closing early.
The new manager is so much nicer than the old one. Marie is a breath of fresh air. I really felt heard when talking to her. My fiance and I have had a wonderful experience while living here and would stay forever if it werent for military transfers ):
The first few days after we moved in, we found spiders and other insects in the apartment 🙄 I was sweeping the floor and under the couch a few days after we moved in and what I found other the couch was disgusting! Dead insects! I called the office and asked if the previous tenants had cleaned the apartment and they said “yes” but we (the apartment complex crew) also clean it to make sure it’s clean for the next tenant. How did they clean it is beyond me. Cobwebs and dead insects under the couch and entertainment systems and the floor looked filthy like it wasn’t swept and or mopped. The tub was not draining properly so I had to call the maintenance to help unclog it and inside the toilet bowl there were some dark stains like it’s been there a while 🤢🤢Mattress are HORRIBLE. You can feel the SPRINGS on them. If the LIGHT BULB GO OUT it is THE TENANTS RESPONSIBILITY to BUY THE LIGHTBULB AND INSTALL IT THEMSELVES!! What?! Lmbo!! What kind of sense does that make? Because I have a ladder just laying around at my place that I can just pop up and get on there and change my own bulb! Lol! 😵😵🙄🙄 WOW!!Front office crew are a hit or miss when it comes to assisting the residence and if you call after hours trying to get some assistance: Good Luck! They supposedly have a “courtesy officer“ that you can call and request for assistance from but they never showed up. When you call for the “courtesy officer” after hours they ask that you leave your name, number and apartment number with a brief message and they will call you back “SHORTLY”...still waiting for that call back lol!Keys have been an issue for the last month or so! Residence can’t get into the main office or utilize the gym or go get their packages AFTER HOURS because THE KEY DO NOT WORK!! I turned in my keys for them to reprogram them and the turn around time is 24-48 Hours 🙄🙄The place is quiet for the most part which I like. Nice neighborhood with a volleyball, basketball, tennis courts and swimming pool. They also have a pool table inside where the main office is as well and a computer station where you can check emails and or print items if needed. So it does have its perks lol.Good day now 🤙🏾✌🏾
I had an event free time living here. The apartment is really nice and the staff I worked with were all amazing! Very friendly people working here! I have recommended this place to others and still will after I am gone! Thank you for the hospitality!
If something needs fixed in your apartment it will not get fixed. Dryer has been out for months and no one has even come to look at it. there is trash everywhere. the trash from the dumpster is so full it spills into the parking lot. major management issues to say the least. this is is not a luxury apartment. Take your money else where.
Only good thing is they’re close to post. Staff are rude
The bedroom furniture was unacceptable, the mattress sunk in the middle and the complex near replaced it. Paint droppings were all over the floors, the garbage disposal worked when it wanted to. I had to remove wasp nest myself. Maintenance was terrible, very slow to respond and only did patch work. I wouldn’t recommend this complex to anyone.
Love living here. Best apartment Ive lived in
The apartment itself was very nice for the price range. the staff was very friendly and when i had a bad roommate situation they tried everything to help me out. Only issue is our AC went out at least once a week during the spring/summer. But the maintenance was quick to always help us. I dont recommend living on first floor though, you could hear our upstairs neighbors all the time
I really enjoy living here. This place is very quiet and upkeep. The apartment aint that big but it have everything I need. Washer/Dryer in-unit, cable, internet, water and trash is all included with the monthly rent. The facilitates are great and everything like entertainment, schools and shopping malls are near by. The staff is very helpful and professional. I really enjoy the activities they do for the residents. I really recommend this place.
Bad customer service I wouldnt recommend it
I am writing this review because I am upset that this property tried to charge me over 900 bucks even though I never set foot into the apartments.I had called them the same day and told them I had found a better deal with lower rent. They still decided to bill me for months of rent and “fees” when I NEVER went to the office to get a key.I never even set foot into the apartment.I just don’t understand how they can charge you for something when you never lived there! They were nice in the beginning but when you tell them you have better options they turn rude and want to charge you all these fees.I am not paying them anything when I never lived there period.
I have had no issues with my own apartment, the apartment community, neighbors, maintenance, or management. I have been living here since February (5 months now) and the staff has been friendly, nice and helpful. My apartment is in great condition, the furniture/appliances that were provided are comfortable and modern- but not ugly modern- and everything works just fine. The pool and gym are nice, and the other amenities are convenient. There are plenty of events for residents and I feel like management actually cares about the community and how it is running. The two complaints I would have are the dumpster can be kinda gross sometimes and the recycling is almost always overflowing. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Maintenance responds to requests within a day or two. I only have to worry about two bills each month, which is great. I would definitely recommend this place :)
Probably the best community Ive ever been a part of. Everyone is super nice and the front office staff is always super supportive. They even hold special events like wine mixers and game nights. There is a dog park and even though Im not a dog owner its nice to see them around the neighborhood. There is a tennis coart, a pool, and a playground all of which my toddler loves. Come be my neighbor yall.
I recently moved into the 3 bedroom apartment and I LOOOOVE it. There is so much space and it is very peaceful. My kids love the playground and basketball court! The sidewalks are perfect for our bike rides. The leasing staff is there when I need them and the maintenance crew are quick to respond!
Great place to live. Very affordable and friendly staff. I would recommend for any military family.
The office and Maintenance have improved DRASTICALLY!! The new maintenance guy, Powell is awesome. I have been here two years and the previous maintenance just temporarily fixed everything but since he has came, he has actually FIXED the problems . They do raise rent every time you resign lease which is why I won’t be resigning my lease but WAS a really good community but slowly going down hill with the new residents they are letting in or stay in the community that isn’t now even on the lease. They’re are drug addicts, drug dealers and everything else in this complex so just be cautious.
I was visiting but would definitely move there
The pet deposit is Crazy high ($350) for 1 pet and its Non-refundable. Plus an additional $15 added to your rent. The apartments look good, just small. Ive noticed that numerous people in other complexes are paying less then me and apartments are twice as big. Contemplating on moving or not. But to each its own
I like these apartments quite a lot. Im only staying here temporarily, but the staff is quite helpful and always seems to be in a good mood. My apartment is very nice and I got it furnished. The beds are alright and I love the couch in the living room. Overall Im happy with my choice to live in this apartment complex.
Lived here now for two going on three years and have grown more and more disappointed in this complex as time has passed. When me and my husband first moved in we saw no issues. The apartment seemed mostly clean and we were able to get our place furnished with no price raise. Thats where our first issue arose. We were promised that as we purchased furniture we could get the loaned pieces removed by simply going in, signing a form saying what was being removed and maintenance would come pick it up. For the first few times we had no problems, until I went to get a desk removed and the manager proceeeded to say they no longer take back furniture and if I needed it out of my apartment I should rent a storage unit from them. (Yes a storage unit I pay for monthly to put THEIR furniture in.)The second biggest issue is the trash compactor constantly being overflowing. Weve literally kept stinky trash in our apartment longer as recently as this past week because both the normal compactor and the dumpster in front of it were so packed, and of course if you leave a trash bag next to it best believe they will find a way to charge you for it.I could go on days with the problems Ive ran into but Ill cut this short and finish by saying to top it all off I went to renew our lease for the third time and despite never having any formal complaints to them and always paying our rent on time literally the first of every month they RAISED our rent 50 bucks!!! Thanks guys.P.S. our car was broken into and or roommates motorcycle was stolen right in front of our apartment.. so lock your car doors folks!
Very clean, well kept complex. Apartments have plenty of space. Staff members are super friendly and extremely helpful!! Definitely a great place to stay!!
Have lived here 2 going on 3 yrs. It went from good to worse with time. The people that we have as neighbors have disruptive parties every single weekend. There have been numerous fights outside the apartment and at times police have to get involved. And my biggest issue is the garbage disposal in the complex. They went from having a couple, to one and one for recycling. The disposal gets sooooo full to the point that people start leaving the trash outside the disposal. The staff has the audacity to put people to go through trash and then CHARGE 25$ PER BAG for leaving trash out there if they find an address somewhere in the bag. There is nowhere else to throw this trash. Do they expect me to pick up and move the trash that is literally blocking the disposal door? And most of the time the disposal door is filled with trash too! The staff overall is nice but they have to get themselves organized and find a way to make the place safer and especially get the trash issue resolved!
At this apartment complex, it’s a 50/50 chance that your maintenance issue will be fixed. Just because it’s close to post doesn’t always mean it’s worth moving in here. It is not a safe area, there have been multiple break ins and robberies to residents vehicles and there’s nothing you can do to protect your car unless you go buy one of their garages. There’s the catch lol. I give them credit for that.
Great place and service
They will beat you over the head for the price and how small theses apartments are. Signing a lease here was the worst mistake I’ve made in a while. Luckily they offer short term leasing agreements.
The staff is very courteous and kind. I enjoyed doing business with them. The apartments are comfortable and convenient. I enjoyed my apartment. However, they are high priced compared to other complexes in the area that are very similar to them. Unfortunately, I must say that most of my neighboring tenants were loud, obnoxious, filthy slobs. I had several problems with them piling mounds of trash in the breezeway and leaving it there for days. I was also very annoyed with the loud parties they would frequently throw. Overall, I say Independence Place is an ok place to live. Not the best, not the worst, but somewhere in between. I would not recommend them to my family or friends.
Terrible complex. Power constantly goes out, my AC was broken for 2 WEEKS in 100+ degree weather before they made any effort to fix it. WiFi is awful and cuts out all the time, trash is overflowed/broken more often than not. Absolutely DO NOT sign a lease here- complete joke of a complex.
This apartment complex is not military friendly. There is trash in everywhere. They come in your apartment at least three time a mont supposedly for inspections. On a three month lease they want in writing that you are moving out 60 days prior even though you made a point to let them know your move out date. They still charged me 60 days of rent. All this prior to me getting ready to go overseas. Also, the personnel in the front are rude and try to undermine me because I have an accent . I don’t recommend this place.
I used to live in this apartment and recently my sisters moved into this apartment because I recommend to her.... I feel really bad...If anyone wants to move into this apartment, please think again.. Its not worth it.And they need to train staff for better.Keep changes story and online price....Totally different..... Sudden change so we didnt know or that person is not here or she must miss understand...... sucks...
Worst experience ever....
Nice place to live. I like their everything included bill. Spacious place. Both living and bedroom lights went out and they were replaced within hours. Good job!
This is by far the worst place I’ve ever rented. If you plan on renting here, make sure you talk to other tenants. They all wish they would have chosen a different complex. Also, if you plan to rent, make sure you take your own pictures of things because the staff lets them “disappear.” This must be how they make their money. Front office staff has slashed tires of tenants they don’t like with other tenants, Taylor was this ones name that did it. Apartments have mold and water damage and the staff does nothing for it except paint over it so if you plan on renting, make sure you inspect for mold. Other tenants have had rodent issues that the staff refuses to take care of as well. Don’t bother taking any issues to the staff here as they seem nice at first, but start letting them know about issues and all of a sudden your a bother to them. Don’t let the glam throw you off. If you can spend a few more bucks I suggest doing it and going somewhere else.
I moved in a couple months ago and its been a great experience to live here, with a helpful and friendly staff all around.
I currently live out here! The apartments are gorgeous and very spacious. I wish maintenance staff was better and quicker by getting out to the residents. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, although if you have small toodler kids, I would recommend getting a 1st floor too keep down confusion. I wished the office would do a better job with the (Dog poop) thats all in the yard and grass, getting all dogs DNA and actually making their owners pay a Fee for not picking up their dog poo... My kids and I cant even walk through the grass out here, ITS ALL OVER THE GRASS sometimes the sidewalks and its a continuing cycle... Although I can do without the (dog poo) I love the Inside of the apartment and the fact that its quiet out here is a plus.
Live there myself for years now and all I can say is an great place to live. Friendly employees and residents. Very pet friendly. Plenty to do there. Year round pool.
Please stay away from this apartment. Especially, you are young military couple or your wife is foreign, they are going to rip you off. They require all kinds of charges every month that they never mentioned at first time and even I paid charges, it is not worth it. They are keep changing what they offer and if you are planning to move here, read all the contract pages carefully and sign it. Staffs who suppose to help tenant, need to be educated and learned customer service skills. I do not underestand how their rate is 3.5.
Would not recommend living here. The staff doesn’t care about your concerns. Any concerns I brought up were never fixed. I cleaned the tennis courts myself in order to play after asking at least 8 times. Neighbors dogs bark all morning for days and they expected me to to have sympathy for them instead of helping to fix the problem. They say they will address issues but they never do. The pool is always dirty and the apartment furniture is chewed up and full of dog hair when we first moved in. The place was pretty dirty initially and the neighbors above us constantly drop cigarette buds down which end up on our porch. There’s not much respect or cleanliness in this place.
I’m currently living here and I can not wait for the lease to be over. We have a mouse issue that no one cares to deal with. There are holes under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom that allows mouse and rats to come in and out. We invested in our own stuff to kill them but they continue to come and I’m paying too much rent to be scared to sleep in my own apartment
It’s a great location to be situated at especially if you work on post or nearby taking into consideration the traffic on Riley Rd. If you have school aged kids, Benjamin Martin is two minutes down the road and there’s a daycare or two nearby.I paid about 1100 dollars for a furnished apartment with two bedrooms. I think that’s pretty decent. My only issue is that I could hear every time my upstairs neighbors moves across the floor which sounds like they’re stomping the yard and I could hear every time they flush their toilet.Waste is included in the rent but what that really means is that you have to take your trash to the dumpster provided. My old apartment had waste included but they provide the trash cans and they have door trash collection.Normally quiet at night except for a rowdy neighbor here and there but nothing crazy. If you have pets, they have a pet playground but you can’t let your pet loose in there. They have a rule for picking up after your pets but it’s not really enforced so people do what they want when no one is looking.
I had a great experience living here! Great community and great staff always helped when I needed it, if you’re being stationed here I would highly recommend.
Staff is absolutely great. They actually know who their tenants are and care. They do what they can to help you.
If I could give negative stars they honestly wouldnt even deserve that. This apartment complex is so awful that I dont even know where to start.First off trash is so backed up that its outside of the gated area and its not just every once in awhile, its every week. Management takes forever to fix anything. The matinence guy is creepy. Ive had so many problems with things in my apartment such as none of the doors stay closed or my ac wouldnt stay on. All within the first week of living here both my bathtubs clogged, the dish washer broke, and half the lightbulbs went out. Wouldnt be an issue if management wasnt so lazy and would actually stay on top of things.Another thing they dont mention is they have quarterly inspections where they physically come into your apartment and look around.Theres no speed bumps and people fly through this neighborhood. The absolute only good thing I have to say about this apartment complex is that they put on on a good front and theyre all very good at making it seem like a nice place.I would live in Cambridge Arms before I ever signed a lease here ever again.
Pretty sad place to live, manager needs to be more cheerful and nice, overall way too expensive and the quality is meh at best. Trash always piles up at the dumpster and is filthy sticky and maggots everywhere, dog park and lawns are filled with fecal material and no one cleans up after their dog. rates go up drastically if you renew when they want, but alternatively they tell you that if you wait you will get a renewal notice for the same rate... If they like you, else you are essentially evicted cause they claim they dont have units open. They pick and choose what mail and packages get delivered to your unit aswell, so make sure you use the name thats on the contract, cause they will refuse packages if they dont think its you or your name or even let you have a friend send a package to your unit. Its so bad that amazon put lockers in their clubhouse so that people would finally get their packages.
Safe apartment complex with excellent management and maintenance. There is always something fun going om at the rental office..I highly recommend to anyone wanting to live in a safe clean complex.
Too many thieves breaking into cars at night. Don’t feel as safe as me and my husband did before we got here. Definitely will be leaving once this lease is up.
Before I moved to Independence Place in 2014 I was given a tour and compared it with other apartment complexs I had seen. Independence Place was by far the best due to location and amenities. One of the amenities I liked was the gym and the ability to watch a TV show while working out. Well, that has been lost because there is no way to turn the TVs on. Also, people leave there trash in front of there door. This place keeps going down and I am looking to move. If only the staff could turn this place back into a great place live.
Trash compactor is always packed full, with bags always outside of it. Rent is give or take $1,000 for a small sized apartment. They want $100 extra for their storage units. And they are money hungry, I left my grill on the porch and they want to fine you for that, but yet other people have all kinds of buckets, clothes bags, and etc. Sitting on their porch all the time. I would not recommend this property to anyone else. Just speaking from my experience. Only reason they even get this one star is because it is not possible to give them zero stars.
Work orders are done in a fast and friendly manner. Ruben is very quick and gets the job done right!
Good facility and good employee so I want to recommend other people
If you are a person of color, MY ADVICE CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE, they have courtesy officers which are nice, but even officers are not always truthful and they only go off there word...causing families huge inconveniences. MY ADVICE JUT CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPLEX!!!!
The place of self looks nice but it’s seriously over priced for such a small place. The handles on the kitchen drawers and cabinets are crooked and look like they put no effort into building. The floors are very THIN. Which means you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around and it just sounds like they’re stomping around. My ceiling shakes and I can hear my light fixtures shaking whenever they walk around and they’re up all hours of the night. My shower drains were clogged when I moved in. The gym is small and doesn’t have much to offer. There’s so no gate to the community which mean ANYONE can come into the complex. People fly through the parking lots because there aren’t any speed bumps. Every time I walk into the office the staff give me funny looks and aren’t the friendly. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I can’t wait until my lease is up!
If youre a soldier, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! There is absolutely NO security at this location- no cameras in the poorly lit parking lot, no alarms, no security systems (no keypads like Ive seen in some fake reviews about this place)- and vehicles are constantly being broken into and taking anything amd everything, especially military gear. The side doors to the apartments can easily be broken into. Even after countless reports of larceny happening at this location, corporate still has not bothered to provide the slightest security to protect their tenants and they do not care.Dont let the convenient location fool you. Because its right outside the gate, that makes for easier targets that anyone in the shady neighborhoods around this location can easily pull into the property, choose any vehicle or apartment, and steal...and corporate will not care. I wouldnt be surprised if the garrison adds this place to the restricted list soon. If you speak to anyone that has been stationed here for a while, they will tell you to stay out of Fayetteville, especially right outside the gates.
My son lives there its OK he likes it variety of things around him grocery stores Walmart restaurants close to Fort Bragg
They treat military personnel and families terribly. Their policies and practices are inefficient and ineffective. Despite the staff knowing this, they refuse to change them because overcharging military and families makes them more money. They will put their business before their customers and the staff is rude and unhelpful. I would never recommend anyone stay there.
We were initially happy to find this apartment but after issues with mold, A/C not working and internet issues we started to question the management of this complex. Unfortunately, the worst of it came up upon final billing. Many of the positive reviews have yet to go through the hassle and frustration of final billing at Independence Place. The staff admitted that they have the same issue every month with tenants moving out. The fact that they have the same issues and refuse to address them let me know that they were only concerned with getting additional money out of tenants.Several military units have had issues with this place. If youre in the military, Id recommend consulting with the leadership in your unit before signing a contract at this place.
Nice apartments with all included in the rent and the stuff is excellent. Also location is good since there is good Lyons store. By all included I mean internet, cable, drier and washer. The only thing you have to monitor is electricity. No crime and close to base. The morganton road connects you straight to skibo where there is everything else.
This experience has been a very disappointing one. The preview of the apartment was very nice and believeable that this would be a nice residence for our family. However, that was not the case. We have had multiple issues, including, overcharged on bill for things out of our control, maitanance repair delays, and POOR customer service. When my family would call for assistance, an employee would seem defensive rather than help us solve a problem. I’m very disheartened that this employer would treat their cliental as poorly as they do.
Its an ok apartment complex. Sometime I hear the neighbor upstairs and sometimes I see trash left out in the hallways. There are people that break into vehicles and steal things I know first hand, No cameras otherwise I would up my stars. They have a decent gym but only 1 bench and doubles as a squat rack so if anyone else is in the gym no bueno. They do have free coffee in the club house along with pool tables and a nice t.v. Wash and Dryer are included in the rent.
Im having to rate one star because in order to write a comment there needs to be a rate. So we move in, and the same day we notice there some issues with the apartment. Our water filtration system was not hooked up in the refridgerator. Our guest bathroom shower was not hooked up and the faucets were not attached. The washer and dryer were outragesouly horrible. The washer put 4 seperate holes in my apartment wall. Ive told the office about all the problems and we are now a month and a half later and still nothing has been fixed. Not to mention the neighbors above us are so loud they rattle my door and light fixtures, in fact they blew a light of ours out. They make my dog go crazy, who mind you is a service dog. He should feel comfortable in his own home. I have had to call the police from the neighbors being so loud and rattling the house walls at 2-4 am. And i just feel as if nothing has been done. I dont know about yall but im most pissed that i havent been able to do laundry in my own home in a month. I always let someone in the office know when somethin is wrong, and they always tell me theyll fix it that day or the next day. Ive only see the maintenence team once, and they didnt even do anything. Its ridiculous. Not happy at all.
Apartments are nice, the staff is rude and lazy.
Very attracted and nice looking, club house and extras attracted me and my husband originally. *Sighs* To make a long story short, clubhouse is/ or was no longer 24 hours due to people vandalizing it. Computers in lab never work, maybe 2 out of 6 had good connection. Printer didnt work either. I understand 1st floor apartments have bugs but the office informed me that all of the apartments were dealing with the issue I had (didnt make matters better). There were these hoppy skippy little bugs that were all over the place, came to a point were I was getting very frustrated. Wood tiles were cheap and coming a loose. The 1 bedroom was very small for the price we paid. Garbage would be stacked up almost everyday. Walls were VERY thin, I had a neighbor whos footsteps I heard every day, im talking about stomping!! I informed the office about the situation and they suggested I go upstairs to address the issue. I informed them that that wasnt my job and Im not paying rent to address other tenants *rolls eyes*. I am currently looking for apartment and will NEVER go back there, even if it was my last option lol. Getting in and out of the apartment is hectic, especially through the Morganton way. Nevertheless, It is close to the Reilly and Yadkin gate.
Lots of restrictions for pets. Impossible to get big dogs. Lots of maintenance problems since we moved in. Lack of communication between their maintenance people and the leasing office. We have had a problem with leaking roof since Dec, 2018.
I have been living at Independence Place Apartments in a 1 bedroom for a couple months and I LOVE it! I really enjoy cooking and the kitchen and the location of I.P. is perfect for a little chef like me :-) The Morganton exit of the apartments allows me to pull right into the Food Lion grocery store without waiting at any traffic lights, which is convenient since I’m always forgetting an important ingredient for my recipes. My kitchen has plenty of drawers, cabinets and counter space for me to make my yummy meals. I really enjoy how its open and looks into the living room so that I can still talk to my BF while I cook. He works at Fort Bragg and it only takes him a couple minutes to get to work in the morning so there is more time for sleeping in! The hardwood floors are easy to clean and I dont have to worry about obsessing over cleaning pesky spots off the carpet. I’m going to refer my friends, especially because the leasing office gives $100 gift cards as referral fees. Moving in was a breeze and staff was super nice! I defiantly would recommend Independence Place Apartments!
Beware of their electronic leases. They will make you sign the lease online and will not want to print and sign in ink. Then, at a later date, it seems their systems allow for changes. While illegal and arguable, you may have to spend considerable time and money fighting them while in the meantime they blacklist you to other complexes and report you to crdit bureaus. GET THEM IN INK or walkaway
The apartments are very nice but the manager Kim need a lot of people skilled she was very rude to my husband and then complained when my husband gave her attitude and walked away from the situation. She accused my house of being filthy even thought she has not once taken a step in my house on top of that we had to pay and exterminator bill all in one month instead of the agreed payments monthly. She tried to say the bill was over 1000$ when previously she had told me it would be no more then 800 she argued with me and questioned my financial standing. When I called the externalities he told me quickly it was only 600 dollars to pay. Now shes trying to get my family to pay that in one month I do not work I have a daughter and my husband is a E-4 in the military please tell me how that is possible. She has threatened me and my husband with court and evictions court because I cant afford to feed my child if I give her 600 dollars and eviction cause she said my house was a mess. Shes a pathetic excuse for a manager
If i could rate this apartment complex lower, i would. Let me start out with the location; The location isnt bad since its close to Bragg. Thats the ONLY benefit. The cons; Upon moving in to the over priced apartment complex, there was an issue with cockroaches. After several bug treatments they insisted that the problem will go away after the next treatment. False! The bug issue was never fixed. Not once did they offer to do anything more to help mediate the situation. When discussing this issue with KIM she blamed it on a cluttered apartment even though she never took one step inside my apartment. Thats insulting in itself. So once again, KIM did nothing to fix the issue except insult me.Next; the dumpsters are disgusting and always filled with trash from the outside. Thats a sanitation issue. Then to top it off, they place the dumpster right next to the dog park. The dog park shouldnt even be called a dog park. Its only labeled as a dog park just so the apartment complex is more appealing in the description. Not to mention the dog park has no one to upkeep it. There have been numerous times where trash from the dumpster has over flowed into the dog park. Its pathetic of them to even market it.Lets move on to the next subject, their gym. The gym is the size of a janitor closet. It is rarely cleaned out and has barely any gym equipment.Next subject; the tanning booth. Avoid it. Its never cleaned out and is a great breeding ground for who knows what.Last but certainly not least, the staff; There is ONE staff member who certainly knows what he is doing. His name is Matt. The few issues that had been brought up to him were taken care of swiftly Which is greatly appreciated. He should be the manager because he has professionalism as well as takes great pride in the work he does. Now lets move on to KIM;If there was a contest for who the most unprofessional staff member is, she would be the undisputed champion. The pathetic part is that she is the manager. Once again, she is the manager and displays absolutely no professionalism. Instead of doing anything she can to help a situation, she would rather argue then come up with a solution. Not to mention rather than taking responsibility for a mess up, she kept pointing the finger elsewhere in desperation. If she was a Sesame street character, she would be Oscar the Grouch. She even threatened eviction because we didnt agree with her OPINION. It also seems as if Im not the only unhappy tenant. Until this excuse of a manager learns people skills, gets fired, or goes anywhere else but Independence apartments, there is no way i would EVER come back here again. Nor would i EVER recommend anyone who i value as a friend to move there. Please take this warning and run far away from this apartment complex and dont look back.
DONT LIVE HERE!!!!!! MANAGEMENT IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ESPECIALLY REBECCA. THEY CHARGE PREVIOUS TENANTS FOR CLEANING BILLS AND NEW TENANTS MOVE INTO DIRTY APARTMENTS. WILL BE REPORTING INDEPENDENCE PLACE TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
I signed a lease for an unfurnished 2 bedroom before moving to Fayetteville from Atlanta. As every other apartment I assumed the floors and carpets would be cleaned and walls painted before I moved. Upon my arrival their furniture was still inside my apartment and was not cleaned or painted. Because this move was supposed to be temporary and I expected to move out into my fiancé home soon, and at this point Im here with a truck load of stuff and no other options! I did not think much of it. Well life happens and I wont be moving until my lease is up, I should be comfortable in my home right? So I asked the leasing office to come and clean like they should have done anyway and they tell me I should have put it on my inspection sheet. It is not good when they do not take the time to clean between residents, and you have to ask them to do what they should have done anyway.Pay the extra money and choose somewhere else to live, besides management being poor and inconsistent, the walls are thin, residents are loud and unprofessional.
Management of the property is bad. And people who are moving in these days dont care about there neighbors. They leave there stinky trash out side next to theretire doors and it smells so bad and has created tons of flies on top of it smelling like a trash bend. Ive call numerous times and nothing has been done. Also the parking is horrible and they allow people who are not disabled to park in handicap parking day and night. Also they residents leave the old furniture and miscellaneous things piled up near the trash bend and took out the recycling bend because of the same problem. People are loud and night and have no respect for their neighbors and leave trash everywhere. Since I moved here nothing has got better just worse. Cant wait to br able to move!
They don’t answer the phone, their advertised hours of operation are incorrect. They charge over 200 bucks for an application fee and the rooms are the size of a closet.
So many issues. Beautiful apt but not taking care of good.
Will i dont live there put im look for a place to live when i see the picts i was disgusted with this apartment they had the KKK flag so i guess theydont wont no Black people to live there. if you black dont move in thisapartment.

If I could give this negative stars I would. This place is terrible & the management is extremely terrible as well. They are NOT pet friendly & the office is really rude. Please dont waste your time with this place
The cable is horrible and we can even upgrade to any other company. 480p is the only resolution for cable its just terrible and so is the internet!
The staff is very kindly always
They are not pet friendly at all. They do all these stupid pet events and act like they care but they dont. The people in the front office are all two faced. Management is terrible and extremely rude.
