So I’ve been coming here for some years now, but I’ve been away for a while and made it a point to book with Thai. I realized today that I miss his pedicures SO badly. Thai really takes the time to get you right! He’s so nice and always remembers what we talk about. I drive 40 miles just to get my nails done at this salon. It is hands down the best in the area. They’re so clean, professional, and pleasant. They take their time, making sure that I’m satisfied with my nails. For gel overlays, they do them perfectly! It’s not thick or fake-looking. I love this salon and all who work there, but I, appreciate Kelly and her fabulous skills!
I have been seeing Thai for years now.Originally started going there after several terrible experiences at a previous salon I was going to.The first few times I was placed with a nail tech recommended to be by someone else. They were good. Nothing to special but got the job done.One day I went in without an appointment and they put me with Thai. I have never looked back since.He is THE BEST. TRULY a gem.We are always chatting away when I see him. I brought my cousin to get her nails done who was battling cancer and he always asked about her and how she was doing after that. Even after she passed he always spoke of how sweet she was.He always makes time to see me in a timely manner even if I try to get in the same day. He helps me pick my colors when I cant decide. He takes time to cut and shape. It may sound silly but I do think my manicures last longer when I get them done with him. His pedicures are like non other. I always look forward to a full mani pedi with him.The receptionist at the front desk is nice and always greets me. The salon always seems clean. They did follow CDC guidelines when everything was able to reopen. They have a really good selection of nail colors.I have not used any of the salons other services so I cant comment there.For nails.... I Highly recommend Thai.
We arrived at 6:30 pm for our appointment. When I scheduled the appointment I booked it for two full set gel manicures and two deluxe pedicures.We were sitting in the chairs getting our pedicures when I asked the nail technician Jenny if I can get the Dusty blue color on my toes. She told me that would be an extra $20. Which I was taken aback by the extra fee. I decided to just go with the normal French instead.Their website doesnt say that there is a $20 extra charge on top of a deluxe pedicure. Didnt make any sense. That color on your toes would be that much extra.Then we moved to our manicures. My technician was great at the design of the nails. However; my cousins was rude with her comments. She kept making comments about trying to hurry up so they could leave.I work in customer service and if you book clients at 6:30pm you should know how long it takes to do a mani and pedicures. If this was to go over the closing time dont book someone during that time.All in all their work is great just wished they were a little more polite.
I loved my pedicure. I got the Deluxe. Did I mention that I LOVED my pedicure? I got the basic manicure with gel. It only lasted a few days, but I dont fault this place. My job is very hard on my hands, and I rarely treat myself to pretty nails for that reason. The manicure is amazing tho, and my hands and nails looks great, even tho my occupation ruins my polish. I think Im going to try their hair care and waxing very soon. They may just be a spa day for me every couple months to get everything done in one spot.
Although an appointment time was scheduled and I was on time, I was told I had to wait 15 mins, then 10 min. And the hair dresser did not seem to care a bit that I had to wait. It seem as if it was expected that I just wait. They did not offer to shampoo my hair which would of probably helped. He just looked at the lady on his chair and did not seem to give a sh*t. Poor customer value and honoring of appointment time. Be creative and show some value to your customers.
When I wanted a last minute mani/pedi, A friend recommended Thai. You can tell a lot of customers who go there are long time customers and that the employees take great care to get to know their customers and what they like and don’t like, i.e., water temp, shape of nails, how are the kids doing, etc. Thai took my call right away and made time for me to come in for the service. He is a true professional, and artist, and aligned to good customer service values. The end result was awesome. My nails are a color I wouldn’t typically get, but Thai made sure my nail shape and length suited the bright pink. Would highly recommend the salon and Thai. Honestly, all of the techs seemed like they would be a great fit for customers.
Ty was kind, engaging, and took his time with me. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will be going back.
Michelle, a referral after a lack-luster and half-baked experience elsewhere, gave the best mani/pedi! Her attention to detail especially while executing my pedi (re: trimming sides of nails and excessive cuticle) made for a polished look BEFORE the polish! Finished nails were spectacular! Traveled further to get to her, but its true...you get what you pay for!

Post pandemic: NEVER GO THERE FOR HAIR SERVICESThe place is very good for nail services but their hair salon is extremely bad. I used to use their hair services before the pandemic. However, after the pandemic everything changed. Now they have just one hairdresser named Kuru and he is the RUDEST hairdresser I have encountered. Following is my experience: Every time I used to call for an appointment for a haircut the person on the phone used to say “Cannot do. We are busy.” I thought, maybe the person doesn’t understand the meaning of an “appointment” so, I went in person to ask for the appointment. The hairdresser straight away said “I am not doing haircut”. I told him that I am not asking to do it right now. I am just asking for a future time when you will be able to do a haircut. He asked me to come after an hour. When my turn came he started the cut and very RUDELY asked, “Do you want me to dry your hair as well?” I was surprised. I asked him that isn’t he going to dry my hair after the cut. He did the cut in the most rude way without exchanging any pleasantries. The half heartedly just dried my hair (did not style) and then said “thank you”. I was shocked. I said “can you atleast use the hair brush and comb ny hair?” He again did that half heartedly and directed me towards his wife for the payment.I have used hair services in many countries as well as at many places in the USA and honestly, this was my WORST experience. I have in my life never seen a hairdresser who doesn’t want to style your hair (or even dry them) after the cut. This experience with Kuru was horrifying for me and I hadn’t had tolerated this if I wasn’t in an urgency to have a haircut at that time.I recommend No One to use the Hair services at this salon as the person is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE.
I moved to Columbia, MD and had to find a nail salon. I tried 5 different places and they were not with the $$$ spent not good. But, when I came across Hair and nail spa 🧖🏽♀️ yesssss honey I love this place it didn’t matter who I went to they are very detailed and do your nails as if they are doing their own nails. I don’t do nail salon reviews but I didn’t want another person to go threw what I did.
Came in first thing this morning to get a nail fixed (only had my nails done for a week and have never had nails break so quickly from other nailsalons). Kim stated she was the only person in at the moment and could not fix my nail due to an upcoming appointment. She then proceeded to tell me to come back the following day so the nail tech who originally did it could fix it. I told her I would not have time to come back and I need it fixed today. She continued to go back and forth with me saying she didn’t know the color of the powder used and when I asked for the manager’s information, she then continued to make other excuses and lie about not having contact information for the manager. Three minutes later, another tech came out (remember Kim lied and said she was by herself) and said she’ll fix it for me. The 30 minutes it took for Kelly to fix my nail, no one showed up for the appointment Kim supposedly had. Being that I spent $145 to get my nails done the week prior, I should not have to debate a worker to provide good customer service. Thank you Kelly for assisting me! Kim, you should be ashamed of how you treated me today and remember how you treat people will always come back to you.

It’s been a while since all that’s been happening in the world that I stepped into a nail salon. But picking to go to this salon was the right choice. I have lived in this area for years however, I never picked a salon to go to because I was always unsure of many places. After doing research and I decided to try this place out. I went in and I wanted another nail technician whose name I saw frequently mentioned in the reviews but she wasn’t available. So I was taken care of by kim. Baby When I say Kim got me right from my eyebrows down to my toes. She has a delicate touch and she is a true perfectionist. Her attention to details, and this time she spent is out of this world. Most nail technicians seem to rush but Kim made me feel like her top priority. I appreciated my experience Kim was very clean and I appreciated the changes that the salon has made with cleanliness and safety precautions taken.Some things I want to mention that may have effect my experience business was very slow doing my visit and I was the third customer in the shop when I arrived in the morning.However Kim did her thing, and she definitely has gained a customer from me and will be seeing me again.
Nice salon. They take walk-ins and did a very nice pedicure. Be warned that they only take tips in cash. I felt bad that I didnt have enough cash to tip as much as I usually do. They will point you toward an ATM, but it will charge you a fee for using it.
Went in for a haircut and came out feeling fresh and new.....great experience with the hairstylist Maria..... My service included a shampoo and blow-dry, not to mention she was fast and attention to detail.....and listened to what I wanted. All in all great service and experience, and will be a returning customer! Thank you Maria for your services!
Ive been going here for a couple of years and I LOVE Michelle! She does the best nails there hands down! I am very picky with my nails because I like the to be natural and long. I can show her any picture and she will do it exactly I like it! Overall its a nice environment and good service.
This is one of my favorite nail salons. I have one technician I stick with and will not use another. Come to this salon, find your fave technician and stick to them! This is a great neighborhood nail salon for good quality nails!
This salon has exceeded my expectations for several years. But, today was a shocking disappointment. When I went for my appointment, a customer was standing in the doorway without a mask. A manicurist led her in for a manicure. In the hair salon area, there were 6 people -- the most I have ever seen in that area. The stylist was blow drying a customer’s hair -- the customer was not wearing a mask-- so any virus particulates were being blown all over the area where I would be sitting -- had I kept my appointment. Although the sign on the door requires mask, it’s clear that the employees were not serious enough about the health of the customers or themselves to turn away customers who were not in compliance. I am deeply disappointed with this. I have friends who go to salons where you are called from your car before you go in so that social distancing is maintained; where they take your temperature and ask questions; and everyone wears masks. This lack of care during the pandemic is unacceptable.

I have been using their nail and toes spa service and it’s really great, you can count with Michelle any time, if you schedule an appointment with her you will find everything ready for you on time; she is doing a wonderful and beautiful job, and as we are going in a group, Cassidy and May (chi My) work with her too; they three are very professional, and take all the safety measures too.I recommend them for you, family and friends.

I go to Mahmut for my hair, hair color and cut, I am his client 2009. I had hard time to find someone who knows how to perfect color and cut. I follow him after he moved from his previous place.I recommend him for European and middle eastern hair types .

This place rocks! Super clean and efficient. Sam is the best nail technician I have ever had! She is super meticulous and makes sure you are satisfied! They have great message chairs a wonderful selection of nail colors and brands. They do gel and dip! I cant say anything bad about it.
This is the best place I have ever been. Very clean and the staff has great customer service I will never go to another salon. Plus I love the loyalty program there which gives returning customers discount. I recommend Y she is the best technician in the world. ;). She is very kind and passionate about her work. I absolutely love this place my first time here because of covid my normal place was not open. But i lucked up my tech was Sam and she was wonderful she did my mani pedi and eyebrows. Professional and clean. Although it was a little more than im use to I will be returning!

My first experience was awesome! I was referred to Lee and he was the best but make an appointment because hes busy. I woke up early on a Saturday morning and decided to check it out without an appointment and low and behold who sitting ready for me, Lee. It was 9.30 and i thought i would just get anyone to see how i like it. Lee was patient because my nails was messed up. He took his time to make sure i was satisfied with them. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the nail shop. Check it out ladies and gentlemen.
My Daughter told me about this place and I am so glad she did. Everyone is super friendly and professional. Lovely interior, very clean! Highly recommended!
Ive been a few times in the past with no problems. When I went last week, the gentleman went to take me to his station, and 3 of the ladies who work there all started yelling at him in another language. Everyone who worked there started staring at me and yelling to each other. Embarrassed and shocked, I asked the gentleman if everything was ok. He told me yes, but half way through my manicure told me that they were telling him that the last time I was there, I complained about his work and asked for my money back. I assured him that I not only did I not complain (ever), or ask for my money back, that was the first time I had ever seen him. Ive never had a male technician in that salon before. They had me confused with someone else. He did not believe me, and they kept talking and staring at me (VERY embarrassing as many of my neighbors were in there at the time). I will not be back. Rude, unprofessional, and definitely not a relaxing experience.
Really liked this place. The technician KimHa was friendly and wasnt too rough handling my toes and hands. The only drawback is too much polish on my pedi. 4 hours post visit they were still wet and I wound up messing 2 nails up.Update: the company contacted me to fix the mistake and were still super nice. I really appreciate companies that reach out to customers and are friendly about it.
Our experience at Nail & Hair Care Spa was traumatizing! Started off with complications at the waiting area with colors and asking private questions such as our age. After that, we asked to sit together and they rudely declined. When we were separated, they asked us personal questions like Are your parents Asian? The bloody finger you see below is due to a mishap that actually happened twice that same day on separate fingernails. This situation not only was disastrous to the design, but to the having to look at the expensive work done to make our nails look somewhat presentable was in ruin. Moving on to the final step, Paying, this place was costly and prone to mass misunderstandings their confusion was unacceptable as to who paid and who didnt. They should know when somebody paid that big of a price. Our recommendation would be to drive just 2 minutes further to a more accommodating spa Halo Day Spa. Final summary DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

I have a regular technician here, and she has always done a spectacular job. However, when seen by either of the male technicians I have left with cuts all over my hands. Regularly they pay more attention to anything else in the salon and have cut my beds with the dremel tools. VERY UNPROFESIONAL. Anytime I go to this salon I tell the receptionist that I do not want any of the males. The receptionists are always so nice.

Great place to get a quality manicure and pedicure. The gel manicures from here last at least 2-3 weeks, if not longer. Space is large, open, and bright.
This place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Thai does a great job and he has an eye for detail. Whenever I am in the area I make sure to stop in for a French gel manicure from Thai because they last for weeks!

I have been to several different nail salons in the Ellicott City/Elkridge area as well as White Marsh and Bel Air. This place is by far the best ever! I havent picked a favorite tech because out of the 5 different people who have done my nails they have all been great!!
I usually do not write reviews but I was so compelled to share my experience at Nail & Hair Care Spa. The receptionists who are always pleasant and helpful but unfortunately that does not appear to be the case for some of the other employees. I cannot speak for the entire establishment but I have been serviced by two technicians on multiple occasions and I always left with a bad taste.My very first time there I was serviced by Kim. I went in for a routine mani, pedi, and wax. During my wax, Kim said she could not wax my lip because I was wearing makeup. I let her know that it was fine that she removed my makeup with alcohol before the wax. Rather than following my suggestion she was adamant that she could not wax me. This exchange went in for a couple of minutes before she eventually decided to wax me. After the wax she began laughing at how my makeup looked after it was removed from my upper lip. I found that to be incredibly unprofessional and rude. Later in the session as I was sitting down to dry my finger nail, one of my nails accidentally hit the drying station. I asked Kim if she could repair it for me and she grabbed my hand, threw it down, and said to follow her back to the nail station. Although she did good work, this was by far the worst customer service I have received at a nail salon.I never planned to return until my friend recommended another technician Lee. I should have listened to my gut because Lee was not much better. I went to Lee several times always by appointment. Lee appears to be somewhat outspoken which is totally fine but some of his comments are inappropriate and rude. During my last was session with Lee he asked why I was so hairy. After my lip wax, he too began to laugh at how my lipstick looked smeared on my face. Laughing at customers seems to be a theme there and even if it was funny (which Im sure it was) it is unprofessional to exhibit that type of behavior with a client. And the straw that broke the camels back is when Lee told me not to come on the weekend because that is when he receives the most in tips.Long story short, I will not be returning to Nail & Hair Care Spa. I may not be able to control rude people but I can certainly control where I spend my dollars.

Sam is the worst technician to have. She will screw with your nails and rush. She doesnt care about what you want shell be like I have to hurry up, I have other things to so. Then when i accidentally bumped my nail she told me to stop playing around. Then I noticed there was a mistake she had made and she was very rude when confronted about it. As well as then talking about me in her language and when she went to the back room

The salon is wonderful.I had a great mani-pedi. May Ha was the best- personable and the french mani-pedi was perfect. She is the best. I am from Phoenix visitingand if I could, I would fly back just to go there.This place is highly recommended

My husband bought me a Mothers Day gift card, the only reason why I went there. Beautiful place, the manager seems nice, however, I had the worst pedi and mani. My tech was very unpleasant. My daughter had a ped and mani as well, and she certainly was not impressed! Im very dissapointed and will never return!!!

Ashley(the manager) is rude and nasty the only thing that made me stay was a very nice helpful informative receptionist she accommodated me in every way possible (she should run the salon)even when the tech Ashley who is supposed to be the manager was acting and treating people/ customers in a very inappropriate and unacceptable way such as hitting people in the back to get their attention . Until Ashley is Fired i will not be back and all my friend and family know shes a nasty person with a nasty attitude who should not run a business because she does not know how and is an incompetent worker who said she was going to personalshopping while on salary after she finished with me .Others thought it was wrong and she said i dont care get paid you deal with it to another tech who had to many clients and was over-whelmed Not to be racist but speak better english and learn how america works and how to talk to people politely if you dont like it or you cant then just leave and go back home(wherever you were born). keep your hands to yourself and actually work like your supposed to and dont be the B word to everyone AND ALWAYS THIN YOUR RIGHT because 90% of the time YOUR NOT and stop talking down to EVERYONE.I feel like my dogs are smarter and more polite than ASHLEY. I dont usually talk bad about anyone i dont like to or even write reviews but she needs to take a business managerial class at the least. Again i would never go back until she is gone and until that day comes Im going to be telling my family friends co workers and anyone else to avoid Nail and Hair Care Spa. thanks to everyone who read this and take it into serious consideration before making a decision. I ADVISE If you DO go avoid Ashley the manager and/or observe her inappropriate and unethical way of working.Thank you to the young (American/Spanish?) receptionist who did an absolute out of this world job of tuning my nightmare of an appointment into a much more pleasant experience.(she should be the manager she was awesome and the only thing that kept me in the doors!!! *****!!AVOID ASHLEY(MANAGER) AND DO NOT MAKE APPOINTMENTS WITH HER(ASHLEY)!! I like the stylist Lee Lee . She has cut my sons hair since his first hair cut. I have followed her to this location and will continue to do so. My son is four almost five and he wont let anyone else cut his hair. Its Lee Lee or no hair cut.
