They only had three nail techs working but they didnt over book or have it too crowded. I was able to get in and out without to much of a wait. Needed my nails done in my football (Chicago bears) teams colors. The owner did my nails. Great Job! Ive gotten alot of compliments on them.

Wont be coming back. Got a pedicure from here. Dirty/used towels, no huge selection of pedicures (theres only 3), and the tech didnt do a great job AT ALL of pampering/scrubbing/paying attention to the areas in need while giving me the full works that comes with the most expensive pedicure.

Clean facilities, really nice technicians who are wonderful to chat with. Great service, highly recommend!

Kimmy always does a fantastic job on my nails! She is really good with designs and always takes her time to get the shape of my nails just right. I’m always happy with my manicure and pedicure whenever I go to Avalon Nails :)

Horrible customer service. Was told 15 minute wait. Over 45 minutes later, still waiting while another lady (obviously a regular) came in with no appointment and was taken within 5 minutes. Ended up leaving without getting service.

I called to see if I could get a last minute appointment Saturday night . I was the last client in the shop! I felt special . I was so happy the manager stayed after hours to make sure I was taken care of . I would go back again .

Avalon was great. Im actually impressed by the young lady at the front desk. Shes very welcoming and remembers a lot of the customers by name. The young lady who waxes is also very gentle. My second time here and I think Ive found my 💅🏾 polish palace!

Tran and Victoria are the best! I had a hard time finding a quality salon when I came home from college but I found Avalon nails and have yet to be disappointed. Every time I go in there I hardly have to wait for a chair. My nails always look great whether it is a pedicure or full set. My natural nails have grown so healthy and the quality of work is astounding! Along with the great service, the overall environment of the salon is so welcoming. It’s like family in there and I can feel confident with no judgment and just relax.

Excellent eyebrow waxing service! I decided to give this nail salon a try while I was in the area. My mother and I both got our eyebrows done. We were promptly greeted and taken back to get started. We were in and out and our eyebrows were nicely shaped with just the right amount of arch and not too thin. I will probably start going out of my way to come here or at least come when I am in the area and will probably try the nail services as well. Highly recommended!

My nails look the best that they have looked all year ! I went with my best friend who is a regular client the experience was everything she said it was and more! Not only is the staff nice and professional but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend this salon.

Went here a week ago for just a basic black gel manicure. They were able to accommodate me, as a walk in, pretty quickly which was much appreciated. The couches in their waiting area are very comfy!! Took about 20 minutes, and cost $30 for a gel. Nails are looking fine, growing healthy and still look great!

So very happy I found this nail place! Tran and her staff are so kind. Never had so much fun at a nail salon! I have been going there for 4 months, once a month and have had a wonderful experience each time.

Nice clean place, had gel manicure and pedicures here, loads of colors, some days are faster appointments than others but overall I’ve always been happy with the results!

This place is equiped with hard-working and friendly people. Tran and her team are skilled, fast and caring. They do a very good job. The manipedi includes a scrub and massage of legs and feet. They are amazing! They also just added new massaging chairs with feet soak/tub for pedicures! Prices are great for me!

Ive only been to this salon three times. Today being the third. The second was Jan 2012. I walked in and Tran said Hello, Lisa! I couldnt believe it. Julie was a lifesaver. She spent an hour fixing a really bad solar nail job done by my previous manicurist. I had mold, lifting, too dark of a pink. She meticulously fixed, clipped, cleaned and filed each nail to remove the inch think acrylic left before. She then fixed every nail to perfection. Perfect White Tips with the Proper Pink acrylic. She then did an fabulous job waxing my eyebrows - which hadnt been done in months!!!! Ill never go anywhere else. OH, and they only charged me the fill in price even though it was clearly a new job!

Ive been here 2x. The first time was only for a pedicure and it was great! The second time was for a pedicure and acrylics. I picked a bad color for my toenails and would have required 3 coats instead of 2 that she did, so this I passed over as my fault. I now find out after taking the polish off that I have toenail fungus! If that wasnt bad enough, the acrylics were done very fast and crappy, but were very inexpensive and looked good from far away. She didnt fully glue down the tips so there was space between the plastic and my nail that collected God knows what over the next few weeks. The acrylic was uneven and in some spots misshapen. I hope this helps somebody with their choice of nail salons. I wish I had the name of the tech.

DO NOT GO HERE . they will look at you and if they see you have money they take advantage of it. Tran is very sweet, she did not do my nails it was the one lady in the back on the left hand side named ho and I tipped her 20$ every single time . even if she didnt do the best job I still know that every penny counts when it comes to making money in this business, so I would go see her and every time I sat down not only would I be missing 3 fingernails after not even 2weeks (most of the time they broke off or cracked) and instead of a fill in and fixing just the broken nails - she would just do a whole new set! Which cost more money, and it was killing my nails !! Not only did she only care about JUST getting every penny she could from me but she lied too . I would ask dont my nails look damaged? and she always said that they were fine . so I always got a full set with gel nail polish plus her 20$ tip and if leave there spending over 75$ sometimes more. And they got SO DAMAGED because she just wanted her money that the day after she did them 2 months ago they all broke off the NEXT DAY FROM JUST OPENING THE FRIDGE DOOR at my house. I now go to Elite Nails and when I tell you they are the best nails Ive ever had, I truly mean it. And the staff couldnt believe how I had to wait 2 months to let my real nails breath and come back to life just to get them done again... Point is, Avalon nails is a Rupp off. They are not friendly. And they only care about money. I just went to Elite Nails in Ellicott city yesterday and there nail polish collection is so amazing, I have gold flakes in my nails!!! So try them out . there prices are better and the service is better . free complimentary wine. Like amazing !! So please - if you dont want to be ripped off. Stop going to Avalon nails .

Since moving to Columbia, I have tried almost every nail salon but this one so far as been the best. But it’s super busy on weekends so make an appointment.

I have to say since moving to EC 18 months ago the best gel manicure I have had was by a Victoria at Avalon. She does a really great job. However, I want to share my experience in getting a pedicure too as a means of warning others. After thirty years of pedicures today, it never occurred to me to check water temp before putting my feet in the bowl. When I arrived today for my 1:30 appointment Victoria was busy, and that was fine, so she asked me to soak my feet until she was finished with her appointment. She said to me that the water was prepared for me and to come soak for a few minutes. I came over and put one foot in and at first I thought I had been electrocuted as the pain from the scalding water was so intense, it left me stunned. I have never in my life experienced pain like that. It actually caused me to drop my latte all over the place. Victoria did apologize and said she had not checked the water because her hands were dirty and didn’t want to contaminate my pedicure water. My foot did not have any blisters but was red and incredible my sensitive after the burn. I couldn’t allow Victoria to do a full pedi on my right foot and so I allowed her to do a minimum of changing the polish and removing callouses from the bottom of my foot. That was still rather painful. I urge women who love a good pedi like myself to test your water with your finger first as I would never want you to experience such pain. I know it was an accident on Victoria’s part but after thinking of this all day, they really should have reimbursed me for my latte and at a minimum charged me for a half pedi. I am sad to say they have lost a good customer. I wish I felt differently.

Coming to Avalon for years! They are wonderful, fun, professional and do an amazing job from waxing to mani/pedis. Comfortable environment making me feel like family. Tran and her staff know everyone that comes in by name. Their prices are fair as well. Very friendly always! I love Avalon Nails! There are not enough stars up there- I give them a 10!!

Im been a customer here for over 8 years. Love them and theyve recently done some renovations to spruce up.

My experience wasn’t that great. They waited last minute to do me and my friends nails we arrived around 6 and they asked to take us at 7:30 I got gel mani and pedi and my pedi was nice but my gel mani seemed rushed or not cared about you can see thru the color mind you the color is not a transparent color. The nail techs made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted there. I will not go back! My gel polish already chipped and when I went back to fix it I got all attitude the nail tech didnt even fix it she made it worse. Don’t go there if you don’t look the part aka you look like you have money. Truly believe they treated us that way because we looked young. Please treat everyone the same you don’t know who is going to come in there.

Tran is THE best! Her pink and white are FLAWLESS - she goes above and beyond to make them PERFECT and beautiful, replacing them often enough to keep them healthy and looking amazing!

I went there today and felt like I was being rushed towards the end because of this lady being inpatient who couldn’t wait other 5 mins until I was finished. My nails came out ok not the result I had before.I’m not really thrilled about how my nails came out this time, but I ended up tipping her 20%.I don’t know if I’d go back.
