I absolutely loved living at Trinity Commons! The staff are all wonderful, from those working in the office to maintenance. I have never met a nice group of people. My apartment was absolutely gorgeous and the location was incredibly convenient for Duke students. The modern design, amenities, and social events put on for residents were all bonuses. Thanks so much, TC!
Without a doubt the best apartment complex Ive ever lived in. The staff is incredible. The amenities are amazing and the location was awesome. It speaks volumes that even 2 years after moving out (I bought a home), Im still talking about them. Keep it up Trinity. You guys ROCK!
The most beautiful spatial and well designed apartments near duke. It is such an easy walk to grad school locations. The rooms are so spacious and the amenities are insanely gorgeous.
Great community, love here. Just sometimes the trash could not be collected in time, causing a lot of trouble. Also there’s a tree right in front of my window, so there’s not much sunlight.. it’s pretty annoying.
Just moved in and I am loving trinity commons! My favorite part are the amenities that the complex has to offer and Mike B from maintenance responded so quickly to my questions. 2 thumbs up for Mike. So happy to live here.
Trinity Commons is a really wonderful place to live. The apartments are spacious, the location is really convenient, and the complex has a fantastic pool and gym. The leasing office staff are really kind and helpful, putting on all sorts of fun programming, and the maintenance staff are always there in a flash if theres some problem. (A.J. and Mike are awesome and have helped us out loads!) Highly recommended.
I truly love living here. The apartments are beautiful and conveniently located by Duke University. The staff here are amazing and honestly make living here so much better! They are incredibly kind, program fun events year round, and ensure that the apartment complex is neat and orderly. Lastly, the amenities add to the experience. The gym is well equipped, the office/study rooms are very convenient, and I LOVE the steam room and hot tub. I am so grateful my first apartment was Trinity Commons.
We lived in Trinity Commons for four years and definitely would recommend the apartment complex!TC has amazing amenities, just to name a few: great gym, yoga room, two awesome pools and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, courtyards, grills. The complex is very clean and pet-friendly with a small dog area in the backyard. We loved the floorplan of our apartment: decent size kitchen, high ceilings, huge walk-in shower, hardwood floors. All our repair requests were addressed extremely fast and professionally (thank you, Mike!). And we loved all the events organized by TC: HIIT and Yoga classes, pet costume contests, delicious food trucks (Brewbox is the best), pool parties, tickets raffle, cupcake day, popcorn in the lobby, and so much more. Honestly, there was no single week without an event that made our living at TC enjoyable and easy.We moved in back in the days when random multiple fire alarms were an issue and it took a few reminders to management to resolve some questions. However, the complex evolved so much since Andrea took over the management, it became our favorite place to live and we were extremely sad about leaving the place. Andrea and the team, thank you very much for all your time and activities, they make TC amazing!
I moved in recently and my experience has been great so far! The leasing office has been incredibly helpful and made moving in a breeze, even with several last-minute changes of plans. Maintenance is incredibly fast and easy, and the location is great. Our apartment is spacious and gets plenty of natural light, with a nice view and sunsets. Id definitely recommend living here!
All in all, this place is good! Especially working at DUH, which is right across the street. The staff are nice and welcoming, amenities are well kempt and functional. However, it is to acknowledge that yes, the apartment has tall ceilings, which is nice, but if Godzilla lives above you then I feel like it just amplifies their every move. I lived here for about 4 months and clearly so has Godzilla. To make it more detailed, the person that lived above me had an interesting sleeping schedule where this person would be awake from midnight up to almost 4 am and would just stomp around the apartment and move furnitures. Now this started from the very beginning and right away I made it known to the leasing office. They then gave me the courtesy officer number. That same night, like clockwork, Godzilla did its thing. I was awakened in the middle of the night, patiently waiting it out hoping the person above me had common sense, but I guess that was too much to ask. I called the courtesy officer number, explained everything, even mentioned that I had to work at the hospital at 7 am, but instead I was told that unless it was a party, he couldnt do anything; that stomping around maliciously and dragging furnitures is not enough to knock on this persons door to at least keep it down. Now, one night wouldve been fine, especially originating from NYC, but this literally happened almost every night that I lived here. I was fortunate to be able to switch to working night shift, but if I didnt, I certainly wouldve left considering the monthly rent. Overall, this complex is a convenient location if you work at DUH, and it does have decent apartments with its amenities.
Ive lived here for a little under 3 years now and I would highly recommend it. The buildings nice and the staff in particular are great! Mike and A.J. in maintenance are really great in helpful, and all of the management are great too! Wonderful place to live!
Trinity Commons is brilliant! The maintenance staff are extremely efficient and helpful, especially Mike and A.J.! The security staff is fantastic as well - Reggie is the best! He is super friendly and always has time to chat.
My roommate and I have experienced a few technical mishaps in our apt the past few months. Mike, our maintenance technician, has been so kind and helpful in switching our bulbs, fixing our food disposal, etc. the multiple times hes had to come. Love his positive energy and respectfulness to our space
The apartment complex has great rooms, amenities, security, and proximity to Duke/Duke Hospital. The leasing office staff is wonderful. I personally worked with Emri, who is incredibly kind and willing to help with just about anything. The maintenance staff is wonderful as well- Mike and Jeremy always respond to maintenance issues quickly and are a joy to talk to.
Trinity Commons is a great place to live, especially if you are hoping to be close to the hospital or Dukes West Campus. Amenities, including the courtyards and gym are excellent and always clean. The staff here is also excellent; the maintenance team responds promptly and always gets the job done, and the front office staff is the friendliest and most helpful you will find.
Security: They put a LOT of effort in keeping the community safe, which makes Trinity Commons one of the safest apartments in the area.Management and Maintenance: Staffs are really helpful. People at the office are super nice and the maintenance team responses very quickly. The team really shows commitment.Overall, Trinity Commons is highly recommended.
I highly recommend Trinity Commons for anyone who works at Duke University Hospital! The staff are wonderful and very attentive. We recently had a maintenance issue and Mike came right up to fix it. He was very courteous to our cats, explained exactly what he was doing, and got everything done quickly. Mike deserves a raise!
Management and Service team here are amazing! Shout out to Andrea and team, Lexi and AJ🤘
Great location that very close to Duke and great service. Whenever there is a maintenance issue, they pretty much always come day of or next day. One of the maintenance guys came to change my light bulb yet proactively noticed another issue and fixed it right there!
My two dogs and I recently joined my fiancé at Trinity and we absolutely love it!Initially, I was nervous about the prospect of moving from a house with a fenced-in yard to an apartment, but those reservations quickly dissipated. The staff here treats the residents and their furbabies like family. After the stress of managing a house as a graduate student, I feel much more at ease having a responsive staff available (special shoutout to Sara!) if and when anything needs attention. In terms of the amenities, I personally love the pool area, dog run, sauna, and fitness center. Not to mention, trash and recycling pick-up outside our front door 5 days a week is a game changer. Our apartment gets INCREDIBLE light and sunset views with our high windows. This is huge because we have a ton of plants throughout our home. My dogs are actually happier and are exhibiting less anxiety at Trinity which is a win for everyone. All in all, highly recommend!
Nice place. The staff are nice. Lizet help a lot when I tried to ask questions. The service is good. When I didn’t know how to use the machine, Mike came in quickly and answered my questions patiently. Highly recommend!
The agents at TC have been amazing at making sure the transition into a new apartment was smooth and successful. Shout-out to Yassah, who was helpful and attentive to all questions prior to moving in. The corridors and amenities are well-maintained and leasing office continues to be first-rate. Highly recommend if youre looking for a quiet, clean, and accommodating place to live.
Definitely the best apartment complex i have ever stayed in. Leasing office staff (Andrea, Emri, Lizet) are the most helpful and the friendliest. The maintenance team is also stellar. I want to particularly thank Mike from the maintenance team. He helped me out three times with my bathroom emergency maintenance issues. Two times were even at night, but he always came down swiftly, despite having to driving down here from Greensboro.
Great place to be at in Durham, NC. Management is extremely proactive--special shoutout to Mike from maintenance for his service and attention to detail.
I had a work order and my man Mike did a stand up job fixing the issue. Trinity commons is great and Id recommend to a friend.
Location, staff, residents, amenities, and Covid adjusted activities are all top notch. I’ve lived here a year and renewed without a second thought. Any maintenance issue has been addressed at warp speed in comparison to communities where I’ve resided. Good mix of residents and popular with the students. Staff is very creative with thematic events ( food truck vendors, pets, etc).
Easy to work with Mike dealing with a work order. Great attitude & knowledgable.
Trinity Commons is an overall excellent place to live for Duke students! Lizet, Yassah, and Emri in the leasing office are warm, funny, and always willing to help. Even though this school year has been anything but normal, TC still put on COVID-friendly events to boost residents spirits. Highly recommend!
The front office staff is great and always helpful (shout out to Emri & Lizet!), Jeremy, AJ and Mike are always helpful & quick with my apartment service requests!
I was able to find an amazing apartment, and the experience has only gotten better. The leasing office is full of agents who actually make stopping by the office an enjoyable experience.I have no complaints and could not be more satisfied - neither could my cat 😻
Mike provided fast and friendly maintenance service!
Work order handled quickly by Mike from Trinity Commons. Went the extra mile!!
I recently moved into Trinity Commons and I love it! The building is very safe and clean, the apartments are beautiful, and there are great amenities. It is a great location for anyone working/studying at Duke or the Duke Hospital. The leasing office staff have been wonderful as well - they make you feel right at home! Liz in particular has been of tremendous help, she’s made the move-in process seamless! I’d highly recommend Trinity Commons as a great place to live.
I moved into Trinity Commons a month ago, and I am glad I picked this place to be my home for the near future. The Amenities are great! The staff is great. Sara and team are always there to help you make sure everything is going smoothly. Very convenient location. Clean. Safe. Well maintained.
Trinity Commons is PERFECT! The building is walking distance to campus (which saves a lot of money and hassle on parking), its safe and clean, the apartments are beautiful, and there are fantastic amenities. Everyone in the office is super helpful - I look forward to seeing them every day. Sara and Liz made the move-in process seamless and truly made me and my family feel right at home!
The maintenance crew is amazing!
I love living at Trinity Commons! It has a quiet outdoor pool area, a nice enough gym that I dont need to pay for a membership elsewhere, and a separate grilling area thats great for entertaining. The staff are friendly and responsive, I have high ceilings and big windows, and I can walk to work at Duke Hospital. I definitely recommend living here!
The community is really wonderful and all of the staff are incredibly friendly and responsive. The gym is great and they offer interesting activities like work out Wednesdays. Trinity is such a great place to live and I highly recommend it.
I was genuinely surprised at how quickly our work order was taken care of, within minutes A.J. was at our door with a huge smile. He was quick, efficient, and extremely professional he even asked about my dog. THANK YOU A.J.!!!!!!
Ive loved my experience at Trinity Commons! The Leasing Office was super helpful in helping me find an apartment immediately after I got a job offer and are such welcoming presence. Emri and Sara have gone above and beyond with the roles at the office. Great amenities and super close to Duke - I couldnt have asked for a better apartment.
I have lived at Trinity Commons for 1 year and have no complaints thus far. It is a wonderful, quiet, luxurious building with nice residents and excellent staff. Our maintenance requests are often completed within 45 minutes even when we call for emergency fixings after hours, and everyone in the office (especially Emre, Sara, and Andrea) are always happy to chat and help us get things done! The security guards that stay until 3 am generally know who lives there (even though there are several hundred apartments), and so they make us feel very safe at night, always watching who is coming in an out. We are very comfortable living there and feel truly at home.
Just moved in here, and am already extremely happy with the place. My apartment is fantastic, the amenities are top-notch, and the staff are nothing but friendly and helpful. I am thrilled to be able to live here this year. Thanks, Trinity!!
Living at Trinity Commons has been great! Emri, Andrea, and Sara are always quick to resolve any occasional issues. Being close enough to walk to campus and having a nice gym in the complex is convenient and a big time saver. I highly recommend this place.
I recently took a tour of the property and I was blown away by the amenities in the complex. It was clean and well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The location is perfect for anyone with affiliation to Duke and walking distance to food/banking. The leasing agent, Sara, that showed me around was very knowledgeable and adequately answered all of my questions. If youre looking for a place to live, get on the waitlist now, though!
I have lived in Trinity Commons for three years now. Its conveniently located next to Dukes campus as well as several restaurants that are just next door. The rent is on the higher side but completely reasonable considering the safety/security of the building, the location to Dukes campus and the high-end amenities accessible to residents. So it is absolutely worth it!The leasing staff is extremely kind and happy whenever I pick up packages or need something printed! Andrea, Emri and Sara greet each resident and potential new residents with smiles on their faces. They are always willing to help or answer any questions I have. I would recommend this apartment complex!
Lived in this apartment building for about a year and a half. Definitely would recommend. Any maintenance requests I made were promptly completed, the staff was helpful, and neighbors are quiet and friendly. Apartment is nice inside and the gym is well equipped.
Living at Trinity Commons has been a wonderful experience, and a large part of this is the staff. I must give a shout out to Sara and Emri especially; they have made a sincere effort to get to know me and have always treated me with kindness, friendliness, and respect. The quality and location of my apartment is ideal for my job, the gym and other amenities are great, and the security is reassuring.
Lets be honest, there is no such thing as a perfect apartment - but Trinity Commons sure makes a strong case for itself. Its next door to numerous restaurants (and a UPS store, a life-saver), is adjacent to two gas stations, in walking distance from Dukes West Campus, and right in between the exits for both 15-501 and 147. It has indoor hallways, a covered garage, a well-equipped gym, pool, and grill areas, and the apartment units have high ceilings and great kitchens.Ive never had an issue that Emri, Sara, and the TC leasing office team couldnt help me fix, and thats why I chose to stay another year even as I transition from Duke student to working in Chapel Hill (and if choosing a 25 minute commute just to stay in my apartment doesnt say how great its been to live here, I dont know what to tell you)!
Living in trinity commons has been a great experience, amenities and the neighborhood are perfect. Best of all is the management team, who are really friendly and help you in everything you need. I highly recommend trinity commons to anyone who is looking for a great place to live in Durham
The leasing staff is really fantastic. I met with Emri and she was helpful, informative, and accommodating! Great place to live.
I loved living here! Not only were the facilities beautiful, but staff in the office always remembered me by name and were very friendly. They really care about the people who live here!
I recently moved to Durham from out of state, and Trinity Commons has been easy and accommodating to work with. The location near campus, amenities, and friendly staff are just a few of the many great qualities that Trinity Commons has. Liz in the office has been especially helpful in assisting us with getting settled in and made the choice of living here very easy.-Amanda Lund (Zdroik)
Absolutely beautiful property and the leasing agent, Sara, was very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be recommending TC to my friends!
I love this community because of the wonderful leasing staff, specifically Sara and Brit. They are always so friendly and welcoming to all tenants, and offer so many fun activities, such as workout Wednesdays, to keep the community strong.
We have lived here for close to 4 years. We are empty nesters and work at Duke which is a 5 -10 minute walk. The staff are great! The amenities are fantastic and security is very reassuring!
The leasing office cares more about giving fine tickets and less about helping the residents. They are really strict on sending out parking tickets or trash tickets (Yes, they give tickets on trash not thrown away overnight). But if they loss your package, they will say nothing.
Very satisfied. Well managed. Have not had any issues.
Used to be a good place but now the leasing office only cares irrelevant sport tickets draws. Annoying false fire alarms, plus renters insurance must include them as an additional interest. This place is no longer a good option in this area.
Ive loved living at Trinity Commons for the past 3 years. Emri, Andrea, and Sara are all so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make the residents feel at home and welcome, and theyre always available to answer any questions or give advice. I always love seeing them at the end of a day! Robert (both of them), Kiser, and AJ are also nice and friendly. Im looking forward to another great year here!
I recommend you read before you make the decision to live here. I have laid out the Pros/Cons, absent my opinion, in order to be as helpful as possible. I have also provided recommendations below.Pros:Pretty decent gymNicer than average apartments, in theoryGood Maintenance teamCons:Management team is beyond incompetent *Management approaches every issue with an excuseWhen an issue arises, management does not aid the customer; they duck, cover-their-backside, and bill you.Fire alarms sound in the middle of the night every couple of weeks, requiring everyone to evacuate to the street (this includes your local E.R. doctors who are now without sleep).Amenities are locked after 10pm (except the gym)Amenities break down frequently and the fix often requires a decision outside of the authority of the competent and good-intentioned maintenance crew, which they receive days or weeks later.Management contracted a towing truck to police the parking garage. This is a direct quote from the email residents received: “If your permit is on a tinted window, please move it to the front windshield of your vehicle…If you still have not placed your permit on your front windshield, please do so IMMEDIATELY. Your vehicle will be booted or towed at YOUR expense.” And yes, a person I know had the car booted because the looter claimed not to have seen the parking decal in his car.Recommendations:*If you decide to interact with the management team, Van is by far the only competent one. She is legitimately helpful to the extent she can be.Avoid Gail at all costs. If you decide to live here, note that sound travels moderately well between floors. If you are easily disturbed, consider living on the highest floor.Note the odd design of the bathroom sink. You will see that it was not designed to actually be used. Some would consider Trinity overpriced relative to the Lofts, a look there is recommended.
The apartment is great, the maintenance is fast, the location is perfect, and every member of the staff is so helpful. Liz went especially out of her way to help us get settled in!
You cant put a price on great service, and in this area Trinity Commons over-delivers (thank god!). Michael and staff are tremendously friendly and easy to deal with -- and quick to resolve problems -- which is something that I cant say about many building management offices. The amenities are really nice for Durham, and its a good location. We highly recommend Trinity Commons and would still be living there if we didnt have to relocate for work.
The members of the TC front office team (Liz, Sara, Emri & Andrea) always brighten my day! Love the pet-friendly atmosphere of the community.
I would recommend considering other places to live besides this one. I have lived here for a year and am laying out the pros and cons as objectively as possible.Pros:1. Great Location. If you work at Duke Medical or are in graduate school at Duke, you can easily walk. There are a couple of good restaurants that are within walking distance.2. Nice amenities, including a great pool and gym. *Note: These amenities often break down however, and it takes a long time to fix.3. Safe, as you need your key to get in the building and through various checkpoints.4. The maintenance staff is amazing. Very friendly and very attentive - I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours to have a maintenance request filled.Cons:1. Fire alarms go off all the time - probably over 20 times in the year I have lived here. They are never for a real reason and go off at all hours, from noon to 3am.2. The management staff is rude and incompetent. Not only do they send multiple emails to your inbox with reminders, which are really lists of rules that everyone must follow or be fined, they will also send you rude personal emails about everything from noise to having your Valet Waste trashcan outside your door past the 8am deadline. The office also sent a threatening email to the entire complex stating that two chairs had been removed from a common area, and they had who did it on tape. They threatened to call the police by the end of the day if the chairs werent returned. If they had it on video, why didnt they just reach out to that resident specifically instead of sending a menacing email to the entire community ?3. Construction - the building wasnt built very well, so you can hear a lot of noise between floors. I often hear people in the hallway and the person above me. Apparently the person below me can hear me too because I have received noise complaints via rude emails from the management office.Overall, if you dont know Durham well, it is a safe and convenient place to live. But it comes with frustrations. This place is too expensive to be hassled by constant threatening emails directed at the entire community and being assessed fines constantly without warning. I am moving somewhere less expensive and more professional.
Trinity Commons is a great apartment complex. I have lived here for almost a year now and have nothing but good things to say about it. After a long day of looking at apartments last summer I came in and met Emri at the front office, she was very helpful and understanding of the type of apartment I wanted and what I was willing to spend (not pushy or condescending). Since moving in Sara, Andrea and Emri in the front office have always been extremely friendly and professional whenever my pup and I come by to pick up packages (or a quick doggie treat and some pets). They also do a great job of trying to organize events and giveaways for their residents and you can tell they really care. Additionally any service request I have placed has been taken care of extremely fast and with no issues. The residents are quiet and seem to be mostly professionals who respect their neighbors. With the great staff and super convenient location to Duke Hospital I don’t see myself moving anytime soon!
The place is okay besides its false fire alarms, usually happens 3-5 times a month, its EXTREMELY LOUD and ANNOYING, worst of all, it could ring at ANYTIME, say, at midnight or 3 am, regardless whether you are sleeping or have to wake up early next day. The system might just be too sensitive, none of previous dozens alarms were in real trouble. However, Trinity Commons has no intention to fix this problem and just let it happen again and again and still charge high rates. Not recommend at all, once you have heard the high pitch sound, you wont never consider it.
I never write reviews, and in fact I believe this is my first google review. I am writing this so that you know those 1 star reviews are inaccurate. I have lived at Trinity Commons starting August 2014 and I couldnt be happier. Let me address some of the problems raised by others.1) Personal Safety: I honestly could not imagine there being a more safe apartment complex than Trinity Commons in Durham. The way the apartment is structured, its simply not possible to get mugged inside the building. Those who claim to have been mugged clearly have not seen the inside of the complex. Not only are there two gates separating the apartments from the outside, they have private security officers patrolling at all time. I know this because as a law student I come home late (after 1 AM) and every time I enter the complex I pretty much have to pass by an armed, but friendly, security officer. Also, the parking lot is gated, meaning you wont get stuff stolen from your car. This was my main reason for wanting to live here at first because I had issues with this living at a different apartment complex with an open parking space.2) Rude and incompetent management: Who are these rude and incompetent management you speak of? Is this your first apartment? The people in the office are pretty chill and they have treats for your dogs. Seriously, what more do you expect? Maybe its because I am from New York, but these guys are professional and handled all my inquiries and complaints promptly and with smiles.3) Leaking problems: I have not had this problem. I live on the top floor, and my friends (other law students and med students) havent had this problem either.4) Fire alarm: This actually was my only concern before moving in. A friend of mine who lived here from 2013 to 2014 (she still lives here) told me there were fire alarms every other week. The first month I was here there was 1 fire alarm. Since then maybe once every 3 months. You really cant blame the management for the fire alarms going off because some law students burnt their turkey on Thanksgiving. Would you rather not have fire alarm go off in case of a fire? Anyhow, fire alarm has not been an issue for a while, and there hasnt been one in the last 4 months (maybe longer).5) Overpriced: Well, you get what you pay for. Its not like they are forcing you to sign the lease. There is an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, great gym, gated parking, thick walls between neighbors, cheap utilities (excluding electricity), excellent security, barista morning coffee service now and then, friendly and responsive maintenance crew, great management, and is right next to the med school and the law school. Again you get what you pay for, and I am pretty happy with what I am getting.6) Towing within the parking lot: Again, it is a closed parking lot, so unauthorized cars will be removed from the lot. I prefer this over not having a parking space for myself. There are plenty of parking spaces available around the area for visitors.7) Bathroom sink: I do hate this design. Finally, having lived at different places around Durham, I believe Trinity Commons is pretty much the best apartment complex in all of Durham.
I am quite surprised that this poorly managed apartment complex still get its operating permits. It is by far the most horrible place to live - people are often getting hit by careless drivers in the parking garage, rude incompetent management office, overpriced booths they call apartments - in Durham. Do yourself a favor - stay away at all costs. Here is a sample of problems my friends and I (yes, we all did the mistake and moved in here because of the close proximity to Duke) encountered:1) Personal safety - they sale you that there is security and you are protected? the joke is on you - my friends got mugged three times, once inside the building and twice just outside the complex - during day time.2) Personal safety 2 - neighbors are driving very fast in the parking garage. Watch out for those NASCAR drivers! you may well be run over...3) Rude, incompetent management - just try to ask the clowns who work there to do their job. On top of it, they are extremely rude (and that is a huge compliment) and completely disrespectful to the point it is embarrassing.4) Leaking problems in these new apartments.5) Want to sleep peacefully? Forget it. The buildings fire alarms go off so often - at totally random times, 3:30 a.m. - that it would drive you crazy. You would actually be surprised when they would not go off 3-4 times a month. Ask anyone who lived here and they would tell you.6) Violation of personal privacy - the management has a key to every apartment and they get in as they see necessary. According to the contract that you sign, they can get in (and they do!) without giving you heads up.7) Completely overpriced.Where are the authorities that need to close this place immediately?
Im not sure why there are so many poor reviews. The management staff is full of the friendliest, most helpful people. There are very few fire alarms and none while I was asleep. There are no leaking problems. The location is also unbeatable. If there is ever an issue (lightbulb out, AC broken) they fix it almost immediately. Its almost a joke how safe I feel in my room. Some of the other poor reviews are outdated and false - I couldnt be happier with my experience at TC.
This place has a unique feels to me and my friend from duke nice days to remember
Best place to live in Durham. Staff is always there to help when issues arise.
TL;DR Version: Best Apartment in Durham, Live Here!Ive lived at Trinity Commons for a little over two years now, and I have kept tabs on the new developments in the area. Thus, I feel that I am qualified to leave a review about the experience. My review applies to the time period of late 2013 to mid 2015 and may reference new personnel compared to older reviews.Building Quality: During my two years at TC, I have never heard my neighbors through the walls or the ceiling. I have lived in two different units during those two years, so while my sample size is admittedly small, I do believe that the construction of the building was done quite well. I do like the real wood (or real bamboo depending on the unit) flooring and the higher quality carpeting used in the rooms. The high ceilings in combination with the floor to ceiling windows give the units a light and airy feel, and I would recommend getting a unit with these great windows if possible. The apartment keys are nifty programmable plastic keys that do not scratch your possessions and are easy to use compared to some of the finicky conventional locks used in most apartments. The appliances look nice and work as intended, nothing really special here. The parking structure is well lit and clean; while not fully enclosed, the parking structure does provide ample shelter from the elements if you park toward the inside of the structure.Safety: I have never had a problem with safety at TC. All the outer doors require a key to open, the stairwell doorways do not open from the outside, and the parking structure has a full gate on both sides. I believe the passive security is as good as it gets without invading the tenants privacy. At night, there is a security patrolman stationed in the main lobby who can be seen doing rounds of the building. As an added security measure, there is a Dunkin Doughnuts right across the street and it is common to see police officers enjoying doughnuts and coffee.Management: The management is one of my favorite things about this apartment. Everyone is friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you, and service requests have never taken more than a day to complete. I am admittedly a bit difficult to please when it comes to customer service, but I have nothing but positive things to say about the people who work at TC; I would like to give a special shout out to the property manager Michael who has helped me with my numerous requests and inquiries. Michael, you are a textbook example of good customer service.Amenities: The community has pretty much everything you would need in terms of amenities. I wont bore everyone with the details, but all the other common areas were always clean and well maintained, and when something in the gym broke, it was always repaired quickly.Walkability: I would like to preface this assessment with the fact that I hate walking anywhere. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance of TC; I would hesitate to call any of them top-notch, but I doubt anyone came to Durham for the food. Some of the restaurants a quite good and will serve you well in a pinch. There is a Suntrust bank within walking distance. Most of Dukes west campus is walkable from TC. Duke medical center is also walkable from TC. There is a Kroger that is in an arguable walking distance; I would never attempt it myself. There are two gas station convenience stores nearby for your emergency needs.Common Complaints: I personally did not have any complaints about TC, so I would like to give my opinion about some complaints I saw in other reviews.- Noisy Undergrads: During my two years at TC, I did see a good number of younger faces, but they were all polite and I have never seen or heard them stumble around drunk and/or high.- Fire Alarms: During my two years at TC, I remember six fire alarms. Of these six alarms, two were false alarms; judging by some of these old reviews, the management seems to be working to reduce the number of false alarms. Conclusion: I would wholeheartedly recommend living at Trinity Commons.
Top notch facilities, top notch staff!
This place is the worst. There are so many hidden rules that they use to charge you. you wont even know you are charged!
The worst place ever. maintenance is poor. its very expensive. its very noisy. your car will get hit in parking and they cant do anything for you.
The ladies in the leasing office are terrible! Talking to me with food in her mouth, never respond my e-mail until I rush to the office. I dont know why this place worth two thousand bucks a month.
Very luxury place. Among the most expensive as well in the area
