We went all winter with no heat except from our fireplace because I wanted to find a company that cared about their customers, their work ethics and their employees. We went with Progressive Service Co to do the HVAC system. The unit I had just didnt work for almost 4,000 sq ft. From start to finish, Reggie G, Mitch, Jonathan, Caleb, Robin G, Lisa B took on this job. They made us feel at ease and Reggie told us not to worry. He assured us the team that came out would do a great job. They have been courteous, professional, friendly and helpful. When they were done, they cleaned up even the smallest speck of dirt both inside and outside! Mitch saved the box from the thermostat with all the instructions and then Mitch walked me through adding the App for my thermostat to my iPhone so that I could control the unit from anywhere. I am so glad we went with Progressive Service Company! I have worked in Customer Service for over 25 years and I wish I could give them a 10 star rating because they deserve it. For the first time we slept comfortably with heat on the 2nd floor! Water main gate valve broke and could not turn the water back on after a 10 day vacation. Called Progressive and they fit me in their schedule next day. James was great, clean workmanship and very efficient. Replaced the valve with a ball valve and connecting joints. Works great, should have been done this was from the beginning. These guys came out to repair my HVAC but were not able to due to it being 18 yrs old. They gave me a quick quote and were able to do the install the next day AND only took a day to do the install! So far Im impressed!

A quote was given to replace the commode and have my dishwasher installed.

There were several Progressive Service Companies and the one that I am reviewing had a PO Box Address of 91297 in Raleigh, NC on the bill. The one good thing about them was that they responded quickly. Although they had to come back the next day. The charge was ridiculous in my opinion. It was just over $1800 labor charges after I bought my own tank. It would have been more than that if I allowed them to buy and bring the tank. I needed hot water and did not let it bother me. I then tried to contact them several times to get a detailed explanation of the charges to try and submit to the warranty company. They have GHOSTED me! Unless you have an emergency and they are the only company available, STAY AWAY. They are a complete Rip-Off as for labor charges!

Everyone involved was responsive, informative, professional and incredibly hard-working. James and Kevin ran into some difficult terrain, with tree roots obstructing major portions of our sewer line, but put in several nighttime hours in addition to an already long day to make sure we were up and running. I cant say you couldnt tell they were there but, considering the massive amount of dirt they had to excavate, they even levelled everything back out exceptionally well.

James and his team were fantastic. They sent someone out immediately to assess a damaged sewer line. If you have a large project this is the company you should call. He was professional and upfront about every part of the process. They even made sure to fix my gravel driveway where they had to dig.Cant say enough great things about the crew and you there should be no hesitation on booking them when you get James as your lead.

Tom S. came out and talked with me about a new heat pump system after my 15yr old original unit started having issues. He got right back to me and answered my questions on a new energy efficient unit and gave me a great price on everything I wanted in a new system. The install guys Brandon and Juan were able to get to my home the next day and do the entire install. They were on time, got right to work, did everything on the work order, the work looks great under the house and outside, they cleaned everything up and showed me how the thermostat operates. Progressive performed a major job for us, replacing old lead plumbing pipe in a historic building, about 40’+ of it which involved cutting through concrete to get to it, replacing it with new pvc and then replacing the concrete.They are professional, efficient, and know what they are doing. I wouldn’t use anyone else for a major job like this! Now that they have done such a great job in our commercial building, I will be hiring them for a job in my home. Highly recommend.

The technician on call for late night emergencies went above and beyond to get our plumbing issue fixed so we could get water back on. With a chronically ill person in the house, access to water is very important for us. He worked quickly and fixed issues the last person who worked on it created for us. Thank you Justin.

I arranged a dishwasher installation through Progressive. They handle Home Depot installations where the installation involves more than just hooking up a hose and a wire. In my case the builder of my home used cheap materials without a cutoff for the washer and I had a angled counter. Bradley called ahead and then arrived on time. He obviously knew what was required and identified there would be an additional charge that he clearly explained. It was just for parts. He completed the work making the connections much more professionally and insured I was satisfied with the results. Great job and I will be telling Home Depot the same.

James and Brent came twice to our property to investigate a supposed sewage leak. They spent plenty of time in what turned out to be a fruitless search, since in the end it appears that the leak was not from our system at all but from our neighbor! I appreciated their efforts. It cost a fair amount for them to run a camera down various pipes - money that I will probably not be able to get back from the city - but it was worth it for the peace of mind of getting this settled.

Ryan was fantastic! He was quick and informative. As new home owners we werent aware of proper septic maintenance and he was very knowledgeable. We will use them yearly and highly recommend!

Lowes contracted with Progressive to install our new dishwasher. When Progressive arrived with the dishwasher, they informed me that there was another part that we would need to buy before they could install it. We immediately ran to Lowes to get the part and called Progressive back to finish the installation, but they indicated that they were no longer available and that we would have to schedule for a time 6 days later. On the day 6 days later, I received a call asking to reschedule another 6 days later again. I called Lowes and asked for a different installation company, and we were able to schedule for the very next day. I will not be using Progressive for any of my services.

Arrived in the scheduled slot, got the job done quickly, let me know I wasn’t actually doing this frequently enough (previous owners recommendation was every 5 years) tidied up afterwards. Nice people to deal with. Highly recommended.

At 9.45 Pm found out I had a broken water line inside one of my walls. I called every place in the area for a emergency call and the only company that answer the phone and was willing to come out was Progressive. Within hours Mike Patterson showed up. He was very professional and definitely knew what he was doing.Around 11 pm Mike fixed my issues and couldn’t have been more happy with progressive plumbing.Thank you guys

Awesome service

This was a horrible experience. A $10k estimate that materialized from a Spring check up. The technician wanted to disconnect my heat but was unable to point out to me why. He said that my freon was low but the outside temperature needed to be higher to take a proper reading. So I ask why are you here if you can’t do the job. I also never got an answer to the question as to why are inspecting heat components in March if that inspection is take place in the Fall. And you’re charging me for it now. An absolutely horrible experience. I felt that I was being taken!!

Hey these guys give 5 Star service anytime. They are very dependable and fast service. I have never called them and had a bad experience. Always whoever comes for service they are willing to go the extra mile and with a smile. Let me also remind you they do more then just plumbing they are excellent when it comes to Hearing And Air. So do yourself a favor give them a call for any of your service needs they are fast friendly and provide the highest level of service with customer care being the top priority. As long as they are around I refuse to let anyone else touch my HVAC unit here in my home.

Mr. Boswell was very knowledgeable and concise with his review of our previous system and the new one we were going to purchase. He performed a thorough inspection and the quote he gave me was far lower than any of the other competitors I checked with...for a Trane! They installed the system today, no fuss, quick, and cleaned up afterwards. Progressive is definitely a company to do business with and obtain complete satisfaction.

The service was great and the problems fixed but I think it is important that anyone entering homes should be wearing a mask during this pandemic. All three plumbers never wore a mask at anytime.Frankly, I’m surprised Progressive doesn’t mandate that for their employees to keep them and their customers safe during these unsettling times.

Steve knows his stuff and did his best effort to resuscitate our tankless water heater. Unfortunately, we will need a new one and he gave us great advice on what to do.

Made an appointment due to gas pack not working (no heat house at 50 degress and dropping) appointment time came and went with no phone call...I had to call them, they told me I was next (their current appt was running over ) 3.5 hours after my scheduled time still no phone call, i went ahead and cancelled and scheduled with another company. Called them out for an estimate on a water leak under the house. They came out told us the water tank was leaking and it would cost $1500.00 to fix. They replaced the water tank, even though upon inspection after the replacement tank was in and had a good look at the old tank, it was actually the pipe into the tank that had rusted out. Buy the time it was all said and done, I was charged $1950.00 with the explanation of all the miscellaneous items they had to install to get it to work. NOT happy, dont use them, theyre crooks! Of course, they wont count this in the reviews or let it post!

We recently bought a new dishwasher that was juuuust a few millimeters too big for the space. Harris was so patient and helpful, worked with my fiance to brainstorm and remove some external bolts etc., and stayed late to install it successfully!
