I was out of town from Ocala Florida moving a customer back into the villages Florida, we had two truckloads and I needed two front tires. I arrived at Atlantic tire to be greeted by a very nice gentleman polite Nate dress very well. They accommodated me with my tires and oil change fuel filter and everything I asked. They noticed that I had a leak in my radiator and told me to please be careful going home but you should be OK. After leaving I made a phone call to my mechanic in Florida double check on the prices to make sure I was not overpaying if I decided to stay with Atlantic tire. Keep in mind they did not put any fear in me that I would break down they were polite and Again did not push for a new radiator. I drove off had breakfast and decided to go with them. When I called they ordered the parts I dropped it off at 12:30 the truck was ready at 5 PM the price is what they told me it was. The next morning we left smooth ride cut through the storm and got home safe

On January 29, 2018 I realized I had a screw in my right rear tire. My car was drivable, the tire was sealed by this screw, but I decided to fix it a.s.a.p. just to feel safe. I opened google maps and “Atlantic Tire & Service RTP” (5412 S. Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703) was the nearest place to my current location. The accepted my car, removed that screw and told me they cannot fix the tire because “the screw was too close to the edge and there is now space to install the patch”. The screw was visible from the outside from the very beginning! If you cannot help me, just do not touch it! They removed the screw, the tire lost air, and they told me I need to buy a new set of tires! It was total set-up: the screw was removed, the tire lost air, the car is not drivable, the only option is to get a new set of tires. I refused to buy tires from them because I do not think this is professional. They installed me my spare tire (and they did not even know if I had a spare tire!) and charged me $15 for their services (workorder #: 580724).And this is not the end of the story! Driving with the spare wheel was totally uncomfortable and I had to get an air pump to check the air pressure. It was 20 PSI only! The recommended value is 60 PSI for the spare wheel. These people did not even check the air pressure after installing that wheel.I can only describe this service with words “set-up” and “black mail”. Very unprofessional! I will never recommend this service to any of my friends.

Honest shop. I went in with a cut to the tire. They could have went ahead with the replacement and charged me for it, but they said that it wasnt required.Ive been to their location for tire replacements and oil changes a few times. Always found them to be genuine and have had no complaints with the work.

I was impressed by the service I received from their Wakefield location when they replaced a flat tire so I thought Id start going to Atlantic Tire instead of the dealership for routine oil changes.I schedule an oil change and tire rotations, both of which were done in a reasonable amount of time (2 h). I dropped the car off 1.5 h before scheduled time. Staff was not particularly friendly when I went in, but maybe they were busier than normal that morning. Had to wait a short time for a shuttle which was no issue, though I was surprised to hear that I needed to schedule shuttle rides 24 h in advance since I had mentioned that I would be dropping off my vehicle and needing a shuttle ride when I made the appointment the week before.I was told tire rotations were free even if I buy just one tire from them when I got my flat tire replaced. I confirmed this when I dropped the car off, but I see that I was charged for the tire rotations. Oil change costs the same as dealership. Was told my engine air filter was dirty and they could do it as cost, i.e. no labor charge, but it ended up costing me 3x more than if I had done it myself. I looked back through my records and see that I replaced the engine air filter 10,000 miles back.Bottom line is this location did not leave me with a good first impression. They seem to do the same thing that every dealership / service shop does which is to talk you into things you may not need. I have no doubt they do good work, but just be aware they may try to talk you into something you dont need. I would definitely recommend the Wakefield location and will try them in the future.

Just stopped in because we noticed a nail in our tire. Because of where the nail was located, the tire couldnt be patched. They checked my tire pressure and sprayed water on the nail, to make sure it wasnt bubbling. Luckly, they were able to pull the nail out because it wasnt a deep puncture. I quickly drove off, very grateful for their honesty and not telling me I HAD to get a new tire. Fantastic customer service!

Outstanding service and attention to detail.

I had never gone to this place before and had two completely different experiences in the span of two days.On the frist day, I went there they were fast and courteous. They replaced my front tires on time and were polite. On the drive home the car was shaking and It felt like the tires were not balanced. I had to take it back the next day to have them check it out and balanced them properly.Soon the fast and friendly service I expected the previous became me trying to corral them into actually balancing the tires and the custom service wanting. I think I was working with someone named Barry. I was having to pull them along to actually fix the issuse. My score is a reflection of my experience today combinated with my nice experience I had yesterday. Two very different experiences.

First time going to the shop was referred by my neighbor staff was very friendly and professional Tim & Zack. Happy my car issue was fixed and they were able to squeeze me in on a busy Saturday morning. Glad my break lights are no longer on and wont drain my new battery.

The team at Atlantic Tire are patient and professional. I took my lowered car in for a custom alignment after installing an aftermarket suspension. They worked with me to dial everything to my requested specs over 3 drop offs. I was only charged the one fee for alignment services and they were motivated to get everything just right/to my requests. Never had a negative interaction through the whole process even with my specific requests. Great customer service and desire to get the job right.

Away from home and my husband is in the hospital. I had an issue with my tire sensor. Matthew and his staff was helpful and solved the problem quickly at no charge. Having a reliable car is invaluable so it’s nice when away from home to have a car person you can trust.

Work is done quick, and the guys are professionals. Theyll match and complete with other shops in the area and they keep your best interest in mind. Excellent shop which should not be skipped.

Ive been here only twice, but both times were a great experience. The gentlemen at the counter are very friendly and not pushy with trying to sell additional services or repairs.Todays experience was really good. I had done some work on my car yesterday (front suspension), so needed an alignment. I called this morning and they were able to fit me in at the time I asked for in the afternoon. I arrived 15 minutes early, they took my car back after about 5 minutes (so effectively ahead of schedule), and had it ready to go in 30 minutes.Fast, friendly, reasonably priced... definitely going to keep taking my business there.

I drove my wifes car in for an safety inspection, charged labor fee, then being told EBD2 port can not be read, and will need next day check up for $109.Two days later, my wife drove the car to another shop, EBD2 port can be read no problem, and inspection passed.Well, I just lost time and $25 labor fee for something not an issue, and I consider Im lucky not going back up there to get cheated again.

I took my car in for an oil change and car inspection. The guy on the phone was very professional and helpful. He got me set up for an appointment on the same day.Once I was there, the team did a great job and was pretty quick. Thankfully they have free WiFi and coffee, so I was able to do some work.Its always hard to find a mechanic or shop that you trust when youre new to town. I totally recommend them. I will definitely be back!Update:Ever since I moved from Cary, which was just a few minutes from the shop, it has been hard to find a mechanic that you trust. Now that I live in Durham, I have realized that it is worth the drive. I had an issue with my ignition or starter. However the guys were unable to find the issue, because they started my vehicle dozens of times without an issue. Since they were unable to nail down the issue, they did not charge me a diagnostic fee. They even kept my vehicle over the weekend and tried several more times to crank my vehicle. I appreciate the customer service and going the extra mile!

I had a problem with a tire that I purchased some where else. And these guys did a lot, after it was all said an done. I was expecting a bill from, you know where. But I was totally surprised, and Im very impressed with the results. Thanks Atlantic Tire on Miami Blvd. In Durham. Sorry but I have to add to this when I was trying to put my spare tire back up under my truck. The mechanism that lowers and lifts the spare tire was damaged. My truck had never had the spare put on before I went to Atlantic Tire.Now who ever at the shop put my spare ed tied on didnt use the factory tools and so what ever they did use screwed up the part on the lowering crank so that my factory tools wont work. Im totally upset, about this matter. They screwed up my truck. Dont go there for as anything, I wouldnt bring a tricycle there for them to fix a tire on. Thanks Atlantic Tire for screwing up my fairly new truck.

Would have given 5 stars but when fixing my flat tire they used a screwdriver to remove the old balance weights and scratched my rim and left a sharp burr. Why can’t people treat the customers possessions as they would their own?Update: The manager called me and offered to fix the scratches.

I recently got all 4 tires changed, an alignment and a balance on my wheels. It was all great but the balance didnt seem to work out correctly. It still had some vibration at 65 MPH. I brought the car back in and they fixed it. No questions asked. Tim (The manager) talked to me and explained the issue. Of course mistakes happen, but I was super impressed with their effort to correct. Would 100% go to them again.

Stopped by out of the blue to make an appointment for wiper blades change for a very old car. They completed the task in 5 min for me and were incredibly gracious and service oriented. Awesome experience thank you.

Making appointments online is super easy and convenient, very friendly staff, didnt have to wait too long and got to sit in their nice air conditioned waiting room. Cost was also lower than I was expecting which is always a nice surprise. 10/10 would come here again!

Tim and his team were amazing! Friendly and helpful, even made time for us close to closing when we were in a pinch as out-of-towners with car trouble. Pros: For me, the location is amazing. Incredibly close to work. Its by far the biggest pro for me.Prices are also decent. Competitive. Ive gotten an oil change and an inspection here and havent felt ripped off. Ive also looked into the prices for other things and see no issues.Cons: The parking is terrible. I dont know what kinds of contracts they have with companies, but their entire parking lot is almost always 100% full. About 30 spots, including road parking behind the building and often along the sides (making it difficult to get around them on other days).I did take a star off due to my oil change visit.1) The oil change I purchased was supposed to come with a vacuum, which was not done.2) I didnt stay while it was done, as I walked around the shopping center and waited elsewhere (it was a nice day out). They said they would call me, when it was done, but after 45-60 minutes I walked back and it had been finished (and the next cars oil change looked well underway).3) When I paid, I was told your air filter needs changed. We can do it now, once a bay frees back up, if you want. But they had my number! Why not call me and tell me it needed done, when they first saw it, instead of after it was moved out of the garage?

This place failed my car inspection for the license plate lights being out and my tires being bare. They didn’t even turn the lights on in my car. The lights work just fine. My tires are fine.This place just wants to sell tires, I was hoping they’d be better than Just Tires who is the same way. Guess I was wrong!!!It was also very odd that they were unable to print out the inspection information but had no problem at all printing a quote for the tires they wanted to sell me..Will update after re-inspection.Do not recommend.I cancelled my re-inspection. I decided to take it to an inspection station that did not sell tires. The car was passed with no issue.After the cancellation email request, Tim called me. He claimed that there was a gash in one of my tires and said he’d like to see it. At that point it made me uncomfortable considering I told him I passed the inspection and there was no need.Upped to two stars for the call back which means they do care about their ratings.

We have been customers for over two years. I needed a new battery for my Hyundai Santa Fe and they fit me into their Monday schedule. And, it took less than an hour. They have always been courteous, efficient and accommodating. I highly recommend the Atlantic Tire & Service on South Miami.

I am so grateful for the staff at Atlantic Tire & Service off of Miami Boulevard.I scheduled an appointment last minute to have a tire patched, but after getting it in their garage, they asked me to come take a look, and showed me the true cause of my slow-leak was due to my 10-year old corroded wheels. They regrettably shared they would only be able to add a putty to help slow the leak until I was able to order new rims. I was disappointed, but incredibly grateful for their transparency.After waiting for a few more minutes, they brought me my keys and shared there would be no charge for the putty, topping off my air, checking my sensors, or anything else.Atlantic Tire & Service disproves the stereotype that all mechanics are out to get your money, as it is staffed with honest, kind, eager-to-help employees who clearly have their customers best interest at heart.

Had an air leak in one tire and stopped by around 9:00am in the middle of the week. The parking lot was full except for 1 spot as was the same with all the bays.I was told to pull the car as close as possible to the one bay and they checked all tires. They found the typical nail in the tire issue, fixed the problem in 25 minutes and I was on my way.UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE.They treated me like royalty. Friendly, polite courteous and fast. Monday November 4th I brought my truck in without any issues to have 4 tires mounted, balance and an alignment done.That night as I was leaving work I got a call the job was completed but there was a busted brake line. They wanted to charge me to fix the brake line so I paid the bill and had to wrecker my truck back to my work so that I could fix it myself. While inspecting my truck after repairing the brake line I found several scratches on my rims that were not there prior. Not once did anyone there offer to help me with what had happened to my brake line and now I find the scratches. Not happy at all!

Changed oil professionally for my mom but did not return her left over oil. My mom brought her 2009 Scion tC that I gave her on my recommendation to get an oil change here. I gave her 5.5 quarts of oil when a Scion tC only takes 4 quarts with the oil filter. (Manufacturer spec) the car burns some oil hence the .5 quart. I wanted her to get the left over oil so she can top it off when needed. They told her there was none left when there should have been one whole unsealed quart left. It’s only like $8 lost so it’s not a big deal but they will take advantage of you. Definitely not friendly towards elderly women.

Great service. Car had a tire that lost a patch and was completely flat. Need to get new tires anyway. Called and the matched the price found online at a competitor and was also able to get the new tires instore and on my vehicle in less than 24hrs. These guys to quality work.

I highly recommend you seek out another shop if you have any major work being done on your vehicle. I had work done on my truck which required removal of the dashboard. In replacing the dashboard, they tried to hide the fact that they lost one of the plastic slats for the air vent and put that vent on the far end hoping I would not notice. I initially allowed them to just give me a $50 credit but then found a large plastic piece that had fallen between the seats and fit around my speedometer an other dials. I could clearly tell where it went since i could see a silver lining where the piece was meant to go which stuck out like a sore thumb to me. I ended up taking the truck back to them so that they could put that piece in as well as replace the vent after I gave them back the $50. In all honesty, they should have let me keep the $50 for the inconvenience as they got over $2000 from me. Oh but it gets better. Now every time it rains, I can hear water moving under the windshield which ends up draining where the passenger mats are. Want to guess who replaced my windshield??? So I figured since they did such a poor job with putting all of the pieces back for the dashboard, that they probably also failed to replace some sort of sealant when they replaced my windshield but I am not going to deal with these people anymore. Oh and the times I have walked in there, the guy behind the front desk has always acted like I was an inconvenience to them by continuing to bring my truck back in. I never once felt like they really cared about me as a customer and were more concerned about getting their money. Stay far away from this place.

Excellent service, honest shop. They could have charged me for a $3000 ECU but were able to solve the problem by dusting it off and re-installing. Works great, at a fraction of the charge a dealer would demand.

I had my left rear tire go flat, 6/24/2014, on I-40 in Durham and was able to get to Atlantic Tire on S. Miami Blvd and even though I could used 4 new tires for my car I could only afford one and they were okay with that and tire was reasonably priced at $107 for my 2007 Chevy Equinox P235 60R/17 rims. Two months later, today 8/15/2014, I went back to get three more just like the one I already bought. I called the Monday before to make sure they had the tires and they got them shipped in from another location and I showed up today at 8:15 am and I was out of there within the hour. Great People Great Service! I would definitely go back.

Im not sure why there are all these bad reviews, I guess only mad people write reviews so I figured Id chime in.Ive been going to them for years and have never had any trouble. Maybe Im one of the lucky ones? Dunno, but theyve always been nice to me and not tried charging extra for any work done. I get both mine and my Wifes oil changes and usually wait. Depending on how busy they are, it takes 30 minutes to an hour.

I had them change the oil while getting new tires. They forgot to reset the computer. They tried to up-sell me on the tires. Not cheap, not efficient or fast, not quality.

Had a dead battery in my driveway, and called them to see if they had what I needed in stock. They did in and out in less than 10 minutes, with a test of the old battery to confirm that was the likely issue. Installed the new battery and was only an hour late to work.

Awesome service! I was coming in from out of town and blew out a tire on 85. Scared me to death! After fixing it my car still didnt feel right. My hotel highly recommended them. They saw I had another tire ready to go and replaced all four tires. Within 2 hours of my initial phone call I had new tires and the drove me to and from my hotel because I didnt have transportation. I know I wouldnt have had this service if I was home in Northern Virginia. They Rock!

Clearly don’t know or care and make every excuse not to get the alignment correct. Brought one vehicle in and blamed it being lowered(which it wasn’t). Setup another appointment and show up couldn’t do it cause they never asked if it was lowered. Guess it’s not normal to ask questions about the vehicle before hand to make sure you can do the work.

I was on my way home from work when I heard a weird noise with one of my tires. I just happen to be driving by this location and pulled in to check my tire. By the time I located the screw in my front tire they had closed, it was 10 minutes after 6pm. Their door was still open so I stepped in and was greeted by one of the guys at the front desk. I explained my situation and apologized for asking for their help after they had closed. The employee (cant remember his name Kirk, Kyle??) was more than willing to take a look at the tire. He was able to get the screw out and the tire hadnt been punctured so I got super lucky. My point is they could have turned me away, or asked me to leave the car and they would check it the next day, but they didnt he took the time to help me out and that speaks volumes for their customer service.

The best customer service I have received in years. They made me feel welcomed and important although I only needed wipers because mine broke on a rainy day.

My check engine light came on while commuting to work. Mark was able to take my car in even though I did not have an appointment. The repairs were made by the afternoon.

I came in for the state safety check, I failed it because of various reasons. I was able to get them all fixed enough to pass and in the same day. At NO point did I feel like they made up charges because they kept me updated every step of the way. The other reason that I felt so comfortable there was that the mechanic Mike treated my car like it was his car. What should have been a bad day turned out to be a great one because with the new tires and headlights it really made a HUGE difference. I felt like I was driving a better car home. I highly recommend them.
