We had traveled to Durango from California and noticed the smell of fuel while driving. I called numerous car service places to try and bring our vehicle in, and no other place in Durango would even look at it on short notice. Luckily, I called Village Auto Care and they said it was no problem to just come right over. We brought in our vehicle, they looked at it immediately, lifted it up and did a more thorough inspection. The mechanic was extremely knowledgeable, checked everything to make sure our vehicle was safe and not leaking fuel, and even took my boyfriend for a test drive to make sure the smell was gone. This was truly the best customer service weve experienced in a long time, and are extremely grateful that Village Auto Care took the time to help us out when we were in a bind.

Dave has a great fix for a common problem that will save you hundreds and hundreds of dollars! Honda keys get jammed in ignitions and the dealer only offers to replace the entire unit which was quoted at $600. Dave got er done for $225 + tax. I checked with YouTube university, I checked with another shop, I checked with a shade tree mechanic because my minivan is over 10 years old, how much can you keep putting into it? The other thing I really liked was that he took the time to explain what was wrong and how it might be fixable which isnt always the case with a stuck key. Good people, good shop!

We called Village Auto Care with what I though was a nightmare scenario: we’re tourists, only visiting and our engine keeps misfiring. However, Village made a quick diagnosis, found time to squeeze us in despite being otherwise very, very busy. Great crew of mechanics; stopped in for a same day appointment to have an impromptu oil change service. They also diagnosed and repaired a brake line leak that I was unaware of. Thorough mechanics.

I have had great experience with Village Auto in past but this time they really went above and beyond to Service my car. The key would not remove from the Auto and the keys are coded and expensive and usually requires going to a Dealer ( really expensive). Dave tried to fix for an hour and finally said he thought it would have to go to Dealer. After I left he networked out to a couple of other Pros and sought advice which he got and researched. He then called me back and said he thought he had a way to fix and bring the Car back. I did that today and with the help of Will who was able to contort himself to get behind dash they resolved the problem, the key receptacle replaced was expensive $300 with the needed tool but it was a bunch cheaper then having to drive to ABQ to the dealer. Dave and his crew went out of their way to provide an economical fix. Kudos to Village

The only auto shop in town that aligns cars correctly. I’ve been to every shop in town to have my car aligned and this is the only shop where I leave and the car feels right and doesn’t need to be redone. Will continue to use and recommend this shop, especially for alignments.

Simply put: the best experience with an auto mechanics Ive ever had.Me and my friend Braden were driving from LA to Toronto, and as we entered Durango, a coolant system light came on in my Porsche Cayman. We found Dave at Village Auto Care, pulled in, and very quickly he helped us diagnose the issue. We stayed overnight and Dave was able to fit us in, fix the problem, and send us on our way.I couldnt be more grateful for their kindness as the whole team are really nice people. What could have been a stressful and complicated situation was made really easy by Dave, so, Village Auto Care comes highly recommended!

Dave and his crew at Village are top notch. They are fair and take the time to explain exactly what needs to be done on your vehicle . I have taken my classic Porsche 911 there for servicing and am always impressed by the way they go the extra mile to sort out any issues. They recently solved an oil leak problem by tightening up the oil lines and pump cover, The Porsche dealer had told me to solve problem it would be an engine out situation.

These are some of the most experienced and honest mechanics I have come across. While driving cross county and visiting a friend in Durango, my trucks front brakes started shaking badly when pressed. I called the guys at village auto and they could get me in the next day, which was a life saver to start. I was expecting to pay at least the $275 they quoted me to replace the pads, and possibly the discs also. Instead they found it was only missing a small pin and only charged me for the repair kit and half an hour or labor, which included in it an examination of fluids and brakes. When I picked up the truck and talked to the owner Dave, he was super nice and informative. Everyone at this auto shop is very nice, extremely honest, hardworking, and just all around good people. Absolutely the best. I brought in my 1999 SAAB with a mysterious acceleration/idling problem. They diagnosed and worked on the problem until they solved it. They kept me updated on their progress and got my OK before they did anything that added to the cost. I will definitely return if any new problem arises and for regular maintenance.

My wife and I were traveling through the mountains while on vacation and started to have a strange whining/grinding noise coming from our car that seemed to increase in repetitiveness with speed. We stopped in Durango at Village Auto Care because of the good reviews on Google. I drove the car during the diagnosis to point out the noise, and of course the car decided to be quiet while the tech was in the car. They checked the car over anyway, checked all of the fluids, etc. and found nothing wrong with the car that would cause it to break down while on our trip. So, even though they inspected the car, and used up their time, they didnt charge us anything, which I didnt expect. Everyone there was super nice, and I got the feeling that they genuinely cared and werent there to screw me over. If I lived in or near Durango, Id feel comfortable taking my car here.
