Just had my brakes checked for wear and the brake fluid changed. We are traveling and it was great to find these guys. They got us in and out quickly, checked everything out and were a pleasure to deal with. If I lived in Durango these guys would get all by business.

I had 4 wheel drive issues in the front axle which had to be addressed. I took the truck in on a Thursday to have it diagnosed. They had parts coming Friday, the next day, and I had my truck back the following Tuesday. Professional and courteous in every way. I also asked them to do a complete inspection of the truck and after going over my 2003 Dodge 3500,the issues they found, I decided what needed to be done. Pricing was fair, work was excellent. I will be using them in the future if I have any problems with any of my vehicles. I highly recommend them.

Durango Automotive Repair is an iconic repair shop here in our small community. Tony the owner and my wife went to school together here at Durango High. TJ his son now runs the place and Brian a good old friend worked on my truck and did a wonderful job.

I had a great customer experience - responding to my online request, being able to drive me to work, being in communication of the estimate of the work and getting my permission to proceed, and letting me know when my car was ready for pick up. Even asking how my car was performing after the work was done.

Straight forward and honest, I was fed up with engine problems on my jeep/rockcrawler, they had it diagnosed and fixed quickly and efficiently. In this day and age givin our current situation that is awesome, thanks guys!

Highly recommend! I brought in a car for pre-purchase inspection and had such a great experience. It was easy to call and make an appointment, they were extremely timely and communicated well, and when I came back to pick up the car they went over the report with me in detail and even helped give advice on a fair purchasing price. It made the whole process extremely easy for me and now that I have purchased the car I’ll be bringing it back for sure!

I really had to have my exhaust repaired by the end of the week because I was moving. These folks ordered the parts on a Monday, got them in on a Thursday---in the afternoon---then had them on two hours later, some 30 minutes before they closed. I was freaking out, but they made my deadline. Nice folks, too, and as affordable as can be expected for the quality work theyre doing. If I wasnt moving, Id go to them for as much as I could. Very happy with their service.

Also they saved me so much money because customer service ( wonderful genuine man), took the time to ask me questions of what I had done and what I hadn’t, hand picked what services I needed, instead of a complete 30,000 service’ for which the Subaru dealership quoted me $1200.00. We were traveling from Bayfield CO back to MO and had a bearing go on our brakes on Sunday. We had needed to leave for home on Tuesday morn. .We called first thing Monday morning hoping to get our car in for repair. They said bring it in and they would get to it as soon as they could but they were backed up, but when they found out our situation, they got us right in and car was ready before 4 pm same day. Absolutely wonderful service! And price was very reasonable/comparable to what we google on bearing replacement costs.

I had an exhaust leak from a mistake I made putting on an after market exhaust myself. They understood my issue and got me in two days before I was scheduled so I could make it out of town before the weekend. They were quick, professional and communicated with me the entire time. I visited the DM&B for a muffler replacement on my 2011 Nissan Rouge.Most all auto service shops are not very reliable and some have bad feedback reports here in Farmington NM, sad. But! The Durango CO area auto shops do have good service reporting. Durango Muffler has a great reputation for quality and excellent service, one of the original, if not the first muffler shop in Durango? Highly recommended this shop! Great customer service and service Techs.

Durango mufflers was very helpful in completing a free diagnostic on my car that was leaking oil. They provided a list of everything needed on the car, not just the leakage issues, and were timely in their responses and communication. I ended up not have the car repaired due to the costs outweighing the cost of the car.

Promptly scheduled an appointment. Did the work on schedule. I needed an exhaust pipe and hangers. No problems with the work. No bumps or rattles from the exhaust even going over rough roads.

As we know nothing is free or inexpensive. The old saying “ you get what you pay for” holds true in many ways. My old truck was at Durango Muffler for a couple days. The technician painstaking drilled out studs on my engine block with such precision and detail in a cramped wheel well...amazing. After speaking with the technician his only concern was making sure I would follow up with my 200, 300, and thousand mile check up. Worth every hard earned penny of mine.

Durango Muffler and brake were amazing! I went to them because I thought my whole exhaust would need to be replaced. They looked at it and said only part of it needed to be replaced and while they were under it, they noticed my u-joints needed to be replaced asap. I had a very limited budget. They fixed the exhaust and fixed both u-joints for me and all within my budget! They made sure I was safe and that my vehicle worked well. I will be going back to them for my vehicle needs! My 2000 Jeep Cherokee has had a number of issues this year - chewed wiring by enthusiastic critters, electric windows that quit working, and heating/cooling problems. I have taken my vehicles to Durango Muffler and Brake since I started driving years ago. They are always kind and respectful. I recently took my vehicle in to have a brake booster replaced. They got me in and worked with my crazy schedule. It took them an hour to fix it. I had two of my littles with me and since it was cold outside I sat in the waiting room with them. They are both under 2 years old, so there is a ton of energy! The staff was amazing, supportive, helpful, and patient with my kids. They treated us like family. I called this morning to see if I could get my car in for an oil change, not only did they tell me to come in right away but they drove me back to work and picked me up when my car was done. Very friendly staff! I will definitely be going back to Durango Muffler the next time my car needs to be serviced.

Ive taken two cars here and both times I get a workup that is crazy expensive. I get a second opinion and it is more reasonable on what is wrong and repair costs. The last occasion they quoted something wrong that actually pointed back to their work on the prior visit. I guess they dont pay attention to the reports they give.

Top Notch! I will not go anywhere else for brakes! This place is the best and owned locally! Quality people, quality service, and a place I can trust to do the right thing instead of just trying to make a dollar. Shops like this are few and far between these days!

Professional service and good quality

I am beyond impressed with this shop. We have a diesel truck that was accidentally filled up with regular gas then driven. I was thinking it would be unfixable. I brought it in and not only was it ready the next day, but it cost almost $200 less than the initial quote! It is so great to have an honest, conscientious auto shop in this day and age! I seriously am beyond impressed with this experience!

After finding out my car needed much more work than expected or that it was worth, the team at Durango Muffler and Brake put the car back together without a charge so I could transport to sell. They also accepted a coupon that was a couple days passed due to make it easy on my pocketbook.
