This is one of the worst properties in Denver!! Make sure you ask lots of questions, A friend of mine moved into these and the office manager didnt give her a parking pass at her orientation. She smirked in the young girls face, and said oh you didnt know you needed a window sticker!! Your car will towed and they have zero sympathy for you. Reader beware!! I have heard so many horror stories on this place I had to finally write a review. Make sure you stay defensive with this place or you will lose more than just your deposit, which I also have been told is impossible to get back.
I moved here July, so I’m coming up on a year.I have a 1br remodeled apartment . It is really nice and clean! I hate bugs and I haven’t had any here! The staff and maintenance team is great !Only bad thing is there is water issue. About 2-3x a month they shut the water off from 10am to about 12pm. I’m not 100% why they do that so annoyingAnd the washers keep braking. Other then that these are decent appartments
It is unimaginable that this company would partner with Colorado Auto Recovery. This tow company harasses minorities and uses illegal tow practices. This goes to show how Monaco South feels about their minority tenants.
IDK what the old managers were like but the new ones are awesome! They we are really good about getting back to me. And they are doing a lot for their residence. It makes me happy to know that the staff care. The new Company they’re working with is trying to update everything on the property and so for it’s beautiful!
The young lady that helped we was very kind and understanding. They seem to be updating alot of stuff on the property everything they have done looks really good and they said they would be doing more. Im excited to see what they have in store.
DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT!!! THE PROPERTY MANAGER CALLIE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! HER MAINTENANCE GUYS CAME INTO MY APARTMENT AFTER TWO WEEKS OF ME PUTTING IN A WORK ORDER AND FELL MULTIPLE TIMES IN MY CLOSET AND BROKE MY BRAND NEW IPAD AND CALLIE’S RESPONSE TO ME IS “ MY PROPERTY WILL NOT BE PAYING FOR SOMETHING WE DIDNT BREAK” SHE DOES NOT HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS! THEY DONT CLEAN THE PROPERTY!! THEY HAVE RATS EVERYWHERE!! THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NASTY!!!!! I had a horrible experience living here for this to be my very first apartment! I’m trying to save anyone else from this disappointment!
Im not gonna complain about the building itself because considering how low is the rent for an apartment in Denver, I think we had a fair living place.Area close to everything, building has an elevator (sure not working all the times), available pool on summer, laundry room always working, maintenance always efficient and fast and leasing office great!!!I only give 4 stars because of the other people living there: too much noise and screaming at nightime, too much trash in elevator and stairs on weekend, the potsmokes from appartement bellow is toxic for us upstairs and someone tried to steal our car.We lived there for one year just for a maximum saving, but after that we couldnt take it anymore.
Never hear my neighbors. Quiet. I’m on the third floor in a good size one bedroom. My own parking spot under the roof keeps the snow off every morning. The ladies in the office have always been super kind and helpful. Any requests or complaints have always been taken care of quickly by nice maintenance men. They try to improve things like keeping the elevator clean and with an auto air freshener.
New Owners as of Dec 2019 they really care about this property. They have not only fixed but possibly replaced the water heater in building one. They fixed the elevator, it doesnt break down as much. Maintenance is quick to repair. MS is finally getting some TLC with their updated apartments.
Very professional office staff, loved the community and how well maintained it is! Definitely recommend this community!
Callie in the leasing office is amazing!!! This place has completely turned around and I’m so excited to move in!
I just moved here so not much I can really say about my overall experience except that Joe! That works in the Office is an amazing guy that works his butt off to get things done. So for that Im giving five stars, as we continue on are collective journeys reaching for our own stars. Cheers! everybody and have a wonderful day. Jacob V.
One of the worst leasing experiences I have ever experienced. Tried to sign a lease for mid to late July. Was told to wait and see what leasing specials would be until beginning of the month. Once I finally got a call back after multiple voicemails being left they could not confirm the specials that were still posted on the website. When I tried through online leasing no specials were available. Was told had to be manually adjusted later. Tried to sign a lease again but the system crashed and wouldnt let me complete application. Called again and received no answer. Finally got a call back to confirm everything and the apartment that I wanted is now leased to someone else. This place is very unprofessional and I would not recommend even wasting your time here.In response to Monaco Souths response to this review I would not trust them. I did leave voicemails and many things they are saying are not factual. I was told that their phone system was down and they had to get a new modem. If they would have been as thorough with how they deal with potential clients as they were with this review they would have had another resident. They did not answer phone calls or respond to voicemails within 24hrs.
Dont live here. Everything is broken all the time. There is one elevator that is broken at least once a week. The water gets turned off once a week. You might get notified but probably not. Everyone in the office is rude and not helpful. Maintenance doesnt know how to properly fix anything. Homeless people like to hang out here. Cars get broken into, my mailbox got broken into. The package room is always broken so packages get stolen. Save your money. DO NOT live here.
I have lived at Monaco South for almost a year now and really like it. I have noticed that there are some of my neighbors that just throw their trash on the ground so the maintenance guys have to pick it up. I have an upgraded apartment and it is really nice. Pretty much everything was new in it. There is a good chance I will be renewing when my lease is up in November.
Maintenance here is phenomenal! they came and replaced AC and fix my blinds. very professional. very nice guys. Above and beyond.
I used to live there in 1991-1992, great memories. Anyone knows Cindy Daniels? Cheers from France. George.
Food in the elevator for 2 1/2 days elevator is broken half the time. Homeless is everywhere around the property in and sleeping on the property. Trash is everywhere including in the courtyardHanging from trees. I fully regret on moving here
I have lived here for 2 years and I really enjoy it. All of my neighbors and the office staff are so nice. I feel like I am a part of a community. The building got new renovations and makes it very nice. There is now a computer area, that I use a lot! I have already referred my some family members here.
Getting straight to the point; Sandra, the leasing manager that gave me my tour, was THE BEST that Ive ever dealt with! I toured the apartment complex (which was very nice btw), and wound up getting approved for a house a few hours later, but had I not been approved, I was sold on the apartment, and the customer service. Not tampering with another companys employee, but, if I owned or managed ANY property and needed someone who was qualified, that I could trust to do their job PROFESSIONALLY, Id call Sandra immediately!
Although one would think water in a first world country would be an easy one it seems Im only allowed to have a shower if I can some how use it when the rest of the building isnt nothing like water pressure dropping to zero on the hot side for 5 mins
No easy, convenient way to pay rent or move in fees. They refuse to take personal checks or money orders. Money Gram, which has added fees, is the only acceptable payment method. Used to be able to pay rent easily online, but that luxury was taken away because this property enjoys making life more difficult. The back building looks like the projects with trash discarded every where. The office does not seem to care. You get what you pay for.
All in all this has been a terrible experience right from the start. We were told we could bring money orders or cashiers check for our deposit. Show up with money orders and those wouldnt be accepted. Couldnt get the keys to the place to begin moving in before we had the cashiers check, when we clearly had the money and were changing the form. Once we get into the apartment its covered in dust and debris, and there are dead bugs everywhere. The shower is taped up and disassembled. When speaking to the assistant manager it was deemed as not an emergency for them to come and repair it. I did the work myself and there was no apology. After finding a black widow in the apartment, we have to wait an entire week before they will spray for spiders. Us having pets we were forced to buy traps ourselves for the meantime. My car had one front tire flat and they towed it out of the lot with no warning. When bringing this to the attention of the assistant manager they played dumb while giving me the number for the towing company. The company will release my vehicle for 280$ all because of a flat tire.I was having my brothers visit after it being more than a year since I have seen them and we were going to use the pool and cook out. Come to find the pool locked the day of without any email or notification that it was closing. Again, asking the assistant manager about the pool she wasnt sure if it was closed or if maintenance had put chemicals in the pool. When asking her to find out she said it wasnt an emergency. All in all whenever a problem arises the assistant manager, Monica has no clue how to approach a problem and quickly dismisses it as to being maintenances fault. The fitness center is two treadmills and bowflex type of machine. Dont waste your time or your money.
Do not live here. The leasing office are the laziest office I have ever seen. I lived there for five years, and whenever something broke and I would let the office know and they never fixed it and I had to keep bugging them to get it done. If something breaks in the apartment dont expect it to be fixed in a couple of days, expect it to be a couple of weeks to months. They constantly loose your packages. If you ever need to talk to the office about something, I highly recommend that you record every conversation that you have with them, otherwise they will change their answers over and over again. When I moved out I was told that they will mail me my return deposit in two weeks, but it took about 2.5 months. Which is illegal. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!
The new renovations that were done are amazing, I like the location its close to the highway and to Cherry Creek Mall - The staff is great, pets are allowed. I recommend these apartments. Its affordable, Im a DU student, I have no roaches, because Im a clean person, If you are disgusting and dont clean your place, Yes! you will get roaches. The place is well kept by maintenance crew. The snow is removed by the time a get out in the morning. I dont deal with Manager Chris or Julie because I pay my rent on time, and I have no issues. This a good place to live.
I visited these apartments today, and I was impressed with the hardwood floors on the 3rd floor, and the spacious 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. The Management seemed to be coo, but these other reviews are starting to scare me a little. Im too old to be lugging things to the 3rd floor. I can, but Im trying to take it easy. Forget the BS. Spiders? No heat? Really? Somebody please help me out and tell me theyve upgraded quite a bit since a year ago? PLEASE!!
I am a current resident at Monaco South Apartments and I have to say that I love living in it. The office staff are very friendly and polite when spoken to. Whenever I have an issue with maintenance the staff acknowledges my need for help and responds by providing expedited services. The view from my third floor apartment is also lovely. I can see the new pool that they had just installed and the beautiful foliage surrounding the grounds (in the summer). Shopping is also very convenient with Wal-Mart right across the street and whenever Im not in the mood to cook, there are plentiful restaurants nearby to satisfy my cravings! You really get more than you ask for when living here :)
If you have a problem they shrug you off. Nothing ever gets fixed like the elevator it breaks everyday and they let people deface the property and dont do anything about it, and they know who is doing it cause they have been told. And my car has been broken into 3 times here and when you ask them to put in cameras they say no cause then they would have to notify every tenant. So what tell them and you would also get evidence against the people who are leaving trash in the mail rooms and who is vandalizing the property instead of just replacing the glass on the outside door so they can break it again.
Expensive for what you get, but the move in specials made it “cheap” for us to move in. Frequent car break ins (yes, locked cars). Mail has been stolen and so has my child’s scooter. Crime has increased a lot since a year ago when we moved in, and so has rent. (Up 200$/month when we signed our renewal) 😒 But I havnt seen cockroaches or anything so that’s a bonus.EDIT: take back what I said about the roaches.....there here and they are ABUNDANT!!!!!! Also EVERY time you re sign your lease expect rent to increase about 200$/month.
Monaco South Apartments is an extremely rude and unprofessional property manager. I work for another property management group and needed to contact them for a reference. They explained that I needed to fax them a tenant release form. I faxed them the form and rather than fill out the reference they complained that their current tenants would need to give them 60 days notice to move out. When I called to inquire about why they didnt fill out the reference the person answering the phone was extremely rude. The person kept saying I needed to fax that information over (which I already did ) and they could not give that information over the phone. I explained that I had already faxed that info over and he just hung up on me. If that is how they handle a simple reference I would not want them handling my apartment.
This apartment is the absolute worst. Lets start with the fact that the grounds of the complex is almost ALWAYS littered with trash and dog feces. Many tenants constantly pile their nasty trash in the mail room lobby rather than take it to the damn dumpster which is 15 feet further! Literally, on any given day, you will find pee stained mattresses, tattered couches, piles of trash which smell like rancid meat, dirty diapers, amazon prime boxes and miscellaneous pieces of junk mail.On Saturday mornings you can ALWAYS cant a fresh pile of puke either in the parking lot, lobby or on the stairs from someone who has had too much to drink. You call to complain for someone to clean it up, no answerThe elevator is usually malfunctioning several times a week. And not to mention, when you try to call the leasing office to report these issues, NO ONE EVER RESPONDS OR PICKS UP THE PHONE!It is incredibly difficult to pay rent online, so you physically have to hand them cashiers checks or money orders. This is very frustrating! Rent isnt posted until the first of the month, so there is no way of paying early which is ridiculous. In my opinion, the leasing office needs to have extending hours on the days in which rent is due or even open a few hours early, so tenants have enough time to make it to the leasing office to pay their rent on time. For those of you who do not know, the leasing office is open 10am-6pm M-F. For many professionals who work 9-5, like myself, I literally do not have enough time to run to the office after work to drop off my check, as they literally shut down at or slightly before 6pm. So I try to call and stress that I will be there right around 6, or 6:05 at the latest to drop off my check, and NO RESPONSE! you cannot get someone on the phone to explain your situation. So guess what, you get hit with late fees when you tried to avoid this at all costs! And they will say that their system wont allow them to remove the late fees!!Another qualm i have is with the mail system! They will constantly miss mark your packages, writing the wrong apartment number on them. I had a situation in which i ordered a Christmas gift for someone, it showed that it was delivered directly to Sandra, on my Amazon account. She said she didnt have it. I explained to her the note on my Amazon account, that it was handed directly to YOU...she had a attitude. I went down there everyday for a week asking about it and to no avail, she said I looked around the best I can... I asked her, can you please check the name on the labels because maybe one of you in the office wrote the wrong apartment number on it in sharpie and she said No!Fast forward, TWO MONTHS LATER, my package was there the whole time in which i grabbed it yesterday while i was taking care of other business in the office! She KNEW it was there the entire time, and refused to obviously reach out to me to come down, because she knew she was wrong and didnt want to admit to it.This place has given me a headache the past 11 months and I would not recommend this complex. $920 for a one bedroom is not worth it. I strongly recommend paying a little more for peace of mind. Trust me.Oh, and one more things. The boiler periodically goes out. Ive been here for about 11 months, and the water has been completely cut off in out building at least 3 times! Meaning, the entire building was unexpectedly without water for hours! And guess what, you dont receive a notice either. You just have to call and hope that you get through to talk to someone about it. Dont fall for the favorable reviews on here. This place is complete trash! and its unfortunate because I had high hopes upon signing the lease with my boyfriend...but like many others in the complex, who agree with the immense shortcomings of this management company, we absolutely would NOT live here after our lease is up, and would not recommend this community to anyone.Do not rent here. It is an absolute nightmare!UPDATE: Water is off until further notice! Do NOT rent from this trash leasing company!!!
Dont move here. Its not worth the price. Move anywhere else. This place thinks its ok to let people use their elevator as a toilet every day for MONTHS and some days it gets cleaned if you call about it but just as often it doesnt even though they say it will. They refuse to consider putting in a camera and have actually grilled me when I called to request it be cleaned am I sure I dont know whos doing itI am a wheelchair user on the second floor. Someone uses the only elevator that provides access to my apartment as a toilet and the people who work here are totally unmotivated to do anything about it (yeah cleaning pee sucks but I, who couldnt even clean it if I wanted to, pay to live here and WoH says that means its Monaco South responsibility to keep common areas and access points free of filth.Today I called about it while the office was open and was told there was no maintenance today and the woman in the office couldnt just lock up - a JOKE as the office is frequently locked during business hours with no notice (see a lot of other peoples reviews). Then her story changed and she didnt have any cleaning supplies or the code to access the maintenance room and couldnt get them. She said Id have to wait until Monday to leave the house, or get pee on my chair again.Even after my husband called back and informed her this is a Warranty of Habitability violation and we would be filing the appropriate Notice if it wasnt cleaned it didnt get cleaned. It didnt get cleaned - it dried up a bit so its actually not that bad in this video (posted on Maps by me but separately cuz interface wont take it here). Some days there is a giant puddle right in front of the door.Today we still had to wash my chair wheels before I could come back in. And today wasnt even that bad...Put up a camera, Monaco South. And the rest of you: run, roll, fly away just dont rent here.
I could never live here. The change in management reflects poorly on Echelon Property Group. The property manager is rarely available which causes the office to be unattended constantly. Her attitude is abrasive an impersonal.Very sorry to have met her. No way I can imagine how it must be for Tennants there now.
I moved into this apartment complex about 3 months ago. I was attracted to the simplicity as well as the low price for Denver area . Everything seemed smooth until today when I walked to my car to find a orange memo posted on my driver window stating that Monaco South Apartments were authorizing a towing company to tow my legally parked car in 72 hours for expired tabs. I drive a 2007 Jeep Wrangler in perfect condition. I called the leasing office where they continued to support this, saying they are trying to manage “junked” or “abandoned” cars. Though I support this policy, I am completely dissatisfied and angered by how inconsiderate and broad this policy is. I am a paying resident parked legally in a spot on private property and my car is being vandalized and threatened to be towed for one month expired tabs. That is absolutely absurd. I’ve lived in bigger, more expensive apartments and I’ve never dealt with the stress of my car being taken out of my pocession for any reason. I planned to live here for the next few years but I will be ending my lease. This is absolutely invading .
Loved my time here for the money I spent it was a great apartment. My one bedroom was huge and being on the top floor with vaulted ceilings was great!
Its horrible here. Loud tenants who let their kids run outside your door screaming and yelling at all hours of the night, trash everywhere, tenants making false reports on one another because they dont like each other, elevators constantly broken, apartments falling apart, the list goes on. Dont. Do. It. Its worth it to pay a little more to have a livable place to live.
Worst place to ever move into! The water is always either being shut off (sometimes w/o warning when in the shower!) Or running cold for days before they fix the damm problem!! The water ran ice cold for almost 2 weeks in the winter as well UGH! Showering & washing the dishes was nearly impossible!! The AC would suck in the summer has moments when there would be an off smell and the cold air wouldnt work, so you would need a fan in each room to keep cool. AND be extra careful when your rent is due, many times Ive had to have the office people reverse fees or remove duplicate utility bills!! No one in the office is capable of doing their job professionally or apologize for their mistakes! AND so many times Ive had to take 4 flights of stairs with my baby & groceries because the elevator is NEVER working!! NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS !!!
So many problems. kids running around the walkways screaming. trash everywhere. people breaking into cars. management puts in minimal effort and rent continues to increase to point where its not even worth the trouble. would very much recommend looking elsewhere
I have lived here for 2 months. My FIRST month,I was charged a late fee of $75 for paying on the 4th because of a holiday. Deadline is the third. 2nd month, didnt realize utilities were included in rent.....i paid rent. The next day i had a letter on my door, left for the world to see, with my balance and a 3 day time frame to pay my utilities before an eviction notice is on my door. Cant pay it online cuz they locked me out of my online account. SO I had to miss school today JUST so I can pay $157 and avoid losing my apartment. Single mom of 3 kids. If you are a day late,or even a dollar short, they take you for all your worth. I will definitely not be signing another year lease here. 👎👎👎
I posted a picture of a large rat near the dumpster. Please don’t live here. The building is old and the water is of for “emergency maintenance” at least twice a month. You also are not allowed to have any patio furniture, they tried to charge me a $50 fine for one chair in front of my door. I had to call the office twice a week for two weeks to get vomit cleaned of off the stairs, just terrible. Pay $100 dollars more somewhere else. This place is NOT worth it.
My husband and I are current residents here at Monaco South. Moving in was fine and all the staff was very friendly. Whenever we had questions we would call or email and all left unanswered, the only time we could speak with the staff we had to go down to the leasing office. Most of the time, they werent there. Didnt let it really bother us, we understood and they probably were really busy. Until we woke up to find the left side on our cabinets in the kitchen have fell off the wall and broke apart. There is severe water damage and mildew on the wall where they use to be. We go down to office (knowing a phone call wouldnt do) and addressed the problem. They took the work order down and said the maintence crew would be by in an hour which was fine as we needed to take all of our dishes out. The maintence guys came and took photos and said they have to talk to the owner. Its been about 3 hours since then. I called 4 times and no answer and went down to the office and the door is locked. This is the same wall where ants relentless breached before we even had food. I would stay away from these apartments and we are eager to leave.Update: after everything that has happened Ian in the leasing office took complete control and made it not so hard on my husband and I. He gave us many options and kept in touch with us. If anything happens in your apartment, make sure you talk to Ian!
I lived here for ten months and could not wait to move out. Cockroaches and ants. Mold in the pantry when we moved in which they spray painted over. They control the heat for the buildings so you cannot adjust it up or down in the winter, only AC is a wall unit which did not work. Several occasions the power, heat, or water went out - in fact, the water is shut off right now as Im writing this! Never once did I take a shower that was of normal temperature, the water consistently alternated between scalding and freezing. I fear showers now. Paper thin walls. I can hear our next-door neighbors urinating, talking, getting in and out of bed, etc. The blinds are cheap and will fall off if you so much as look at them funny. Horrible management. Good luck ever trying to get anyone to answer the phone. There is covered parking that you have to pay an extra fee for every month (which was not worth it), but when I signed up for a spot in November and tried to remove it from our bill in February, I was told I could not remove it until our lease was up which I was NOT told when I signed up for a parking spot originally. Was told my paperwork was lost when we were moving out that I signed in front of the office manager. This apartment gave me so much anxiety it was unbearable and I am happy to be rid of it.
While the apartments themselves are pretty decent, if you get an updated one, there are some very destructive residents that live here. Full bags of garbage dumped on the stairs left for a couple days... Old furniture just thrown on the ground by the entrance doors... There is constantly trash just thrown anywhere. Kids that throw rocks, and vandalism on almost a daily basis. Not worth the 1300 dollars a month for a 2 bedroom
I will leave a review every single time this property disappoints. This has been the worse living situation I have ever experienced. They have tagged my car twice with unremovable adhesive for tags that were removed by their contracted towing company which I have pictures to prove. I have also dealt with unwarranted fees for renters insurance that I have had since Novemeber. It is April and they are charging me $40 for an address error? I cannot express more to stay far away from this property. If the manager didnt spend her entire shift smoking, she would have time to email me back.
Ive been through so much living in these apartments constantly changing managemnet losing my documents. Last year they attempted to charge me almost two thousand dollars for one month of rent and it took a year to clear up. Last summer I was moved into a new apartment becuase my neighbors were calling me n-words and f-words security couldnt control them and my daughter was witnessing this weekly. So management chose to move me with the promise of my lease dates not changing once I moved in I was instructed to sign another lease with the new move in date for documentation of that move. Now Im told Im binded to stay longer than Im suppsed to because management didnt create the proper forms of documentation. Even tho I have 2 seperate leases signed within weeks of each other. They actually couldnt find my real lease and only had the one for the move which means someone got rid of my original document and no one can explain why I would sign 2 documents within weeks of each other or cares to hear what happend and why. The leasing office is rude never hears people out and have no clue of what happened at this prperty prior to them working there. Im being held accountable for a disorganized poorly ran office. So on top of me being disrespected in front of my children all summer I now have stay and additional length of time because these peopl arent working for tenants. And ita takes weeks if not months to get things fixed. Ive had my apartments spread for Roaches multiple times and I still have mice to this day and all I got in response was a mouse trap and no follow up. They also put all the families with multiple children black brwn and Im assuming ppl with lower credit scores the 2nd building which is highly unkept the pool floods the courtyard and are slow to clean the courtyard for tenants who dont abuse the area. All the foreign families with 3 or more kids live in 2nd building and ita philthy 90% of the time I moved my family away from this place a few weeks ago and have yet to recieve the documents I requested so good luvk with this over price hole.
The hot water has been shut off for weeks, we have to go out for shower everyday!
The worst apartment and services I have seen in my whole life no body car about the residences trash every where, elevators too old and scary, always brok. The admin people they are not helpful. It’s a so bad experience for me. Today 08/29/2018 somebody stole my chairs in the front of my appartement next to my door.😒😒😒 i payed $ for my chairs and they get stolen that’s crazy and is not a safe place to liveLast month my car was stolen for 15 days . I found it trashed in Broomfield .
Ive been living here for a year now and just renewed a lease for another year. If your going to live here i suggest living in the building in the front by the leasing office. They seem to take care of that building more and the pool is cleaner. The back has alot of kids which when its summer there going to come out and play like come on THERE KIDS!!!! Even though parents could respect the fact people do work and dont let kids come out and play till after 12pm. There is a black ant problem and spiders that annoying but nothing that you cant fight off. I havent seen no roaches in my building and my neighbors all nice. I dont like how you have to pay rent by check cashier year check, suggest washing clothes in at the laundromat the dryers dont dry nothing. Leasing office staff changes like clock work but the new office mgr seems really nice and im seen little changes being made. For me its not five stars but my building in the FRONT is okay.
The leasing office is not quick to work with you on anything. The grounds are not well cared for. New holes in the dog fence every day and the maintenance men blow dirt and salt under my drafty door frame. Also moisture has run down my walls and left wey, runny streaks.
I have lived at Monaco south for a while now and I had no problems. Because I lived here for so long, chris offered to transfer me to another updated apartment. I like my neightbors they are cool too.
Moved in 11/3 So Far not to good not too bad. I recommend renting from the 1st two floors if your are living at the 6825 buildings elevators hardly ever work and it is a pain moving furniture to the 3rd and fourth floors outside with no elevator working. Higher floors allow for no noise up top and less or no bug problems you just gotta be crafty with the floor and unit you pick. Maintenance will hot patch elevators and the very next day they dont work. How do handicap people get to the higher floors?? Sad kinda to think of. My heater doesnt work either right not luckily I have a space heater and want to save $. The Good is that the apartment is spacious Id also recommend the 4th floor with vaulted ceilings love the floor plan and hardwood floors nothing was broken or falling off although a deeper cleaning could have been done for sure. Depending on whose your neighbor it can loud or not there are children but they are not an issue when its not the weekend or when its freezing outside or unless your evil spirited. Location & Price & a decent looking place is what im hanging on to so far. Will update after 3 months. The managers are meh, u can tell there just 9-5 and dont have any value or stakes in the residents so go into it with low expectations and try to be chill because there IDGAF attitude can ruin your spirits. The gym is weak but hey its more than nothing so make use of what you got, parking is ok & at least u can find a spot just dont park in covered parking if you are not paying. In all it can either get better or worse long as i get my heater and the elevators fixed then we looking at 4 stars ima simple man looking for simple living.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. This place used to be a 1973 Holiday Inn. The rooms are set up as such and they are not spacious at all. The owner Chris is extremely, extremely rude and is absolutely unwilling to work with you on issues with rent and/or late fees. The neighborhood is rough so if youre a student (I go to DU) or a younger couple who is not on welfare or disability, you are not going to fit in. The police have to constantly show up and make walks throughout the buildings because of shady behavior and happenings. When you move in they are nice and pretend like they care behind the face of a woman named Julie. She lies and says they will work with you and you can have things such as a grill but she has no power and whatever Chris says goes. They leave notices about turning the power off at certain times to do work or pest control for the roaches but they never keep their word. We have had roaches the whole time we have lived here (6 months) and they have done nothing about it and they just keep multiplying and getting bigger. Thank god we only signed a 9 month lease and we will be moving out immediately, I would break the lease if it wasnt so ridiculously expensive. So I say again, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!
I dont mind children but when the parents cant take care of there responsibility and make sure they are not being destructive, thats a PROBLEM!!! 9-12 oclock at night they kicking balls off the building, littering all over the place, screaming across an echoing courtyard its gets to a BIT MUCH. Even more frustrating is the Management Company does the MINIMUM!!! For 3 years We have had issues in our bathroom still not resolved, ( the toilet screws are rusted of, the shower puts more water down the drain than can be used to shower!!! Work orders not complete!!! Closet doors health hazards and have fallen off on family and still NEVER replaced as per work order. Heat is the front room for is VERY in adequate. were told the system is old and not much heat would come from the system and windows are not insulated so it will not hold my maintenance. We had multiple leaks and mold issues which caused health issues. We have been here I would not suggest moving here!!!
The worst experience. From move in, to the noisy neighbors, the smoke smell, and unresponsive front office. I would NOT advise this place to anyone unless you are tight on money and have no other options.
I have lived in building 1 for about a year, and have few complaints. I feel the apartment is a good value for the price I pay for rent. Granted, the apartments are not luxury, my unit is older looking. The pools are decent and the work out room & office area are nice. I especially like their pet policy accepting dogs up to 80 lbs, and reasonable pet rent. There is a park and path near by to walk my dog. My unit has hardwood looking floors, which I appreciate because they are easy to clean. Any time I had an maintanence issue, it was delt with promptly. The maintence staff is professional, kind and efficient. I feel the complex is safe. Recently more lights were added, I like the extra lighting expecially in the winter nights. There is lighted paking (which is plentiful, I never have an issue trying to find a place to park.) The staff pays attention to the appearance of the complexes, the side walks are clean, no trash and beautiful landscaping.
There is a reason this apartment complex is only half full. The parking lot floods nearly 1 foot. the interior sliding doors have fallen on my daughter, pinched her fingers and when they fix it (4 times in 1 year) its worse than it was before. The A/C is a little box unit that somewhat cools the front room but the smell makes it unusable. The heat works sometimes and we have had them fix it for over a year and we still have to use our space heater. we sleep with the back window open and the front room needs a space heater. no one answers the phone when you call the office and half the time you go to the office no one is there. They have a pool, but they lock it up for some reason so it only is able to use for a short period of time. Their state of the art gym is a treadmill and about three other pieces of equipment oh and a yoga ball. They have a service that goes around the half empty parking lot that threatens to tow your vehicle for no reason, some name like Denver Parking Authority (they are a company with a tow truck and have absolutely nothing to do with Denver. I would not recommend anyone move here. All of the tenets I know would like to move but moving is expensive so we are sort of stuck here. They raised the rent without offering any new amenities. Oh ya, there is an elevator that works until it becomes 40 degrees or colder then you are taking the stairs. We have had 3 people trapped in the elevator this year. Colorado is know for having few bugs and of the 6 states i have lived in, not once had I seen a bug man until i moved here. The bug guy typically has a 2 page long list of the apartments he is doing and told me, he visits this complex more than any other he works in. They inspect our apartments more than I had when i was in military school. Long story short, if you move here the only good thing is the location but its not worth everything you have to put up with aside from that. Almost forgot about the mold in the bathroom and under our sink (the water damage goes from the bathroom to the kitchen). The cabinets are falling down so they put a couple of wood screws in it and called it fixed. we have paint chipping off the walls and ceiling (we vacuum it up daily so our daughter or dog doesnt eat it. Dont walk on the grass or anything you cant see. You will step in poop. The laundry areas never work and tends to have at least 1 or 2 out of order(there are only 4 machines). Actually, this week I went to do laundry and all 8 washing machines were overflowing with water, they were all draining on the floor (very dangerous). The dryers tend to take 2+ hours and then when you bring them back you have to hang them up to let them dry. So we can spend 3+ hours doing 2 loads of laundry for $14 or go across the street to do the same amount and only spend 1.5 hrs and $7 (but then your clothes are clean and dry).Oh and last night my daughter busted her lip open when the sliding door fell on her. Thw aame door that was supposed to be fixed but we were told by maintenance, they dont have the right parts but the ones we are replacing them with will work. They will just stick a little at first.
Horrible at best. Don’t move here.
Extremely unprofessional. Terrible neighbors, Terrible apartments and way to expensive for such a run down complex.
Very unprofessional staff, buildings are dirty, hidden penalties are applied without proper notification of policy changes, i do not recommend living here
High management turnover and still has not given me back my deposit
Super old, bad maintenance, unqulifyed technician, and they never come for you on time
Excellent
