We have loved living at 2828 for the past year and a half. We looked at many apartment complexes in Uptown and State Thomas, and 2828 stands out for the modern kitchen finishes (including gas stove, warming drawer, and wine fridge), great location, and new dog park. Also the management company is great! Once we asked about getting the carpets cleaned in the hallway, and they bought a carpet cleaner the next day. Definitely recommend!

Nice hidden gem. More for the mature adults, who enjoy walking around with their dogs, and some just walking around enjoying the peace and calm environment.

My initial assessment is this place hits all the high notes (location, amenities, and management team). Erica has been absolutely helpful. I was on the fence about buying or renting and decided the best option for me is renting and 2828 nailed it. My new apartment has a complete view of the downtown Dallas skyline, a gas stove (HUGE PLUS), 3 minute walk to Whole Foods and everything else. Looking forward to living at 2828. We have loved living at 28TwentyEight for the past few months. Management is great. The building is being managed well and cleaned well which is important to us right now. Questions and issues get handled quickly which we really appreciate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new place to live!

Love how the property has the amenities and luxury of a big high-end complex, but it feels more like a boutique apartment. Everything youd get from a nice high-rise without the annoyances that come with them!

Omg, Chasity is great! She was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The place was well-maintained and very clean. And its walking distance from McKinney Ave. The complex also has a dog wash, a pool, and an amazing courtyard!! Loved the place and the staff! Highly Recommend!

I recently toured this property with Chasity and she was phenomenal! I informed her that I may be relocating this winter due to my work situation and she was very professional, courteous, and was able to answer all of my questions. I have been here for almost two years. The facility is great and the apartment is the best in town! Gas stoves, double ovens and beautiful cabinets and ten foot ceilings.The current staff is wonderful. Chasity is very responsive, very professional and keeps all the residents on any upcoming news and changes. Thaddeus is also wonderful, always willing to help. Maintenance staff (Roswell and Christina) are the best. They feel like family! They are responsive and so kind. Im so glad I was directed to these apartments.

Visited friends who recently moved to this community and it is stunning! Very clean and the location is amazing. We were able to enjoy dinner down the street on McKinney Avenue and loved walking the State Thomas Neighborhood. This is a wonderful hidden community in uptown.

We are on year two living here and we absolutely love it! Our management team has gone above and beyond to make us and and the other residents experiences in the facility amazing. Recently, the property has upgraded the flooring by the elevator banks, done a full clean of the lobby tile, re-landscaped, and more! I recommend this apartment to all of my friends. It is a little bit on the pricy side, but you cant beat the neighborhood, the people living here, and the staff :). WE

I toured with this property and I absolutely loved it! Thaddeus was very professional, well informed on the neighborhood and property. He answered all of my questions and the unit was priced right to fit my budget. Thaddeus demonstrated caution and showed respect to my health and safety. He wore a mask, offered hand sanitizer, and respected social distancing while still remained personable.I would love to reside at this community and I’d recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, in the midst of this pandemic, my work location changed so I ultimately I did not lease due to the distance from work. If anything changes, I’ll be back!

Have been touring a lot of apartments in the area looking for the perfect fit. Even if I do not end up at this property- this was hands down the best tour experience I’ve had.Touring apartments in Texas heat can be a pretty miserable experience on its own, with COVID, this move has been a serious chore for me. The front office woman who helped me here (Chasity?) was super friendly, informative, and could answer every question I had about the unit we looked at & the entire property (Without having to run back to the office, ask around, or have me wait while searching for the answer at her desk- which has been my experience with literally any other tour I’ve taken). This woman seemed to genuinely care if this was the right fit for me & was supper knowledgeable about the area. Just how i was treated here while still looking & how I could see current tenants were being treated by the staff was worth leaving a good review!!

We moved into the property a month before COVID ramped up and I have to say, living at 2828 has made managing the stress of a pandemic significantly easier! Management takes sanitation seriously and we’ve always felt very safe in our home. Chasity and Thaddeus are the absolute best.Need to get outside and stretch your legs? State Thomas is simply the nicest neighborhood in all of Dallas for that very activity. Whole Foods is two blocks away so we often plan our meals for the day and then take the three minute walk down the street and grab the freshest ingredients for meals cooked in our top-of-the-line kitchen... which brings me the next reason we’ve been so pleased with Chasity and the management. We had a little issue with our fridge when it first moved in and the matter was promptly resolved.We honestly couldn’t recommend this property highly enough. We’ve lived in a number of places in both NYC and DFW, this one takes the cake!!!

I normally wait to leave reviews, but I had such a great experience here that I felt compelled to write this. Im potentially relocating for work at the end of the year, but I wanted to start looking early. Most of the places I toured, I felt rushed because I wasnt moving in anytime soon. However, when I visited 2828, I was blown away by the customer service I received from Chasity. She accommodated a same-day appointment and truly cared about my experience. If I am relocated, I know for a fact this is where Im moving!

Been at the 2828 for a little over a year now and can state that its tough to beat the inside unit quality and space for the luxury and price in Uptown Dallas. Chasity and Thaddeus are Grade A property managers and Roswell handles the maintenance like a champ. Everyone here is always in good spirits despite a downer of a 2020 year!

I just have to say how thankful I am for such wonderful staff! I recently had an issue with my kitchen sink that was a mess, but Roswell came along and took care of the problem in no time.

I have been a resident here for about a year after moving across the country and could not be happier with the building and its staff. Tara and Shallen have been more than willing to lend a helping hand and made it an easy move. I would say everyone is really friendly and we havent ran into any issues. The building its pretty amazing and the high ceilings make the apartments look and feel huge.I am surprised about the bad reviews I am seeing because the building has been great for me.

Ive enjoyed living at the 28TwentyEight tremendously. All the things you look for in an apartment are delivered here. Helpful management. Maintenance responses are timely, if even needed. They do a great job of keeping the common areas clean and looking nice. The units themselves feel luxurious and high quality. After shopping many uptown apartments, I chose 28TwentyEight for the value it had to offer for the price and have not been disappointed!

My husband and I have lived at 28TwentyEight for almost 7 months, and we are very pleased with our living situation. We toured the community in early August with Tara, the Assistant Property Manager, and she was a pleasure to meet with – she is informative, a great communicator, and has a positive attitude. Once we stepped inside the model, I instantly fell in love with the apartment features. The finishes are top notch and the kitchen appliances are high quality. We were also happy to see that each apartment is equipped with a wine refrigerator and found this to be a nice touch. A part from the aesthetics, the other main appeal of living at 2828 is that it is a smaller building with less than 100 units. It can be difficult to find a true boutique apartment when the Uptown area is inundated with large complexes.We moved from out-of-state which obviously requires quite a bit of preparation and planning. Tara was always responsive to any questions we had along the way and once it was time to move into our unit, everything went smooth.Now that we are settled, I can say that our unit has met our expectations, and the community amenities are great as well. The management, Jessica and Tara, and the staff, Christina and Roswell, are wonderful and truly seem to care about the residents. And the other tenants in this building are friendly and kind. Maintenance requests are handled within a day.Living in the State Thomas neighborhood of Uptown definitely has its benefits. The neighborhood is well maintained with beautiful tree-lined streets. There are great neighborhood restaurants, and one block from McKinney Avenue. The area has a lot to offer and is extremely walkable. If you’re considering moving to 2828, do not hesitate!

OMG! after reading one of the reviews about this lady who came with her husband.... I AM IN SHOCK! I had something very similar happen to my sisters husband (theyre both residents there)! My mom told my sister to inform the manager or post a review but my sister said she does not want to get on the managements bad side as they live there. Therefore, i am going to speak up on behalf of my sister and her husband.So my sister and her husband were telling us about shaylen who works at the front desk- she is constantly trying to talk and flirt with my sisters husband when my sister isnt around. She also solicits her services as a personal trainer and claims that she is also a certified nurse. I think its against the law to solicit yourself to your residence dont you think? I really believe that management should do something about this. Its disrespectful and trashy. People pay thousands of dollars, and how do they get repaid...by having to constantly worry about their men from the person WHO WORKS THERE.THAT IS MESSED UP.

I am a current resident of 28TwentyEight, and could not be more pleased with my experience thus far in the community. My home has absolutely lived up to the expectations created from the photos, with great high end finishes that make one forget they are at a rental property. However, there are plenty of “high end/luxury” apartments to choose from in Dallas, but there was one thing that set this community apart from the pack during my home search and that is the service. I have lived in homes through a majority of the major property management groups across the country, and I genuinely believe that this is the most well managed site that I have lived in. The staff has always been extremely accommodating and promotes a certain inclusive environment that I have never witnessed in my years as a tenant at various communities. While the perceived service led me to 28TwentyEight, I don’t think I fully grasped the importance of this until I experienced it first hand. The simple things like making a request that you know will be fulfilled or a staff that seems to sincerely care about your day and recalls details of your last conversation when picking up a package or just passing through makes a difference in making someone truly feel at home.I also believe that the issue of several recent negative reviews should be addressed in this forum. These remarks, which are extremely slanderous in nature, do not accurately represent this community and are so clearly the result of a disgruntled former tenant who sought out as many friends and family members as possible (none of whom seem to have been actual residents of the property) in a 24 hour period to create a barrage of negative comments in an attempt to have someone fired. The leasing agent called into question in several of the reviews handled my move in process, and has always treated me with the utmost respect, never coming close to crossing what one my consider the professional boundaries laid out. Although I am sure it will not be an issue, I hope logic prevails when individuals are doing research on potential homes in the community. Take it from an actual resident - 28TwentyEight is a great place to live.

It is very unfortunate to read all of these reviews that were so clearly written by one person to target an individual and not the property. My wife and I came to look at 28TwentyEight and very much enjoyed our experience with everyone in the office. The tour was nothing less than professional and friendly from both the leasing agent and her supervisor. We even met the head of maintenance and he was very friendly as well.The common areas are on the smaller side but that was to be expected with the small building, they were well kept and didn’t seem crowded. The gas ranges in every apartment are what really sold me and my wife, since we tend to cook all the time.We decided that it was not the right time to sell our house, but we will always keep 2828 on our short list for when we do decide it’s time to make a move. I highly recommend this community to anyone that is looking to live in Uptown Dallas!

So my husband I were out looking for apartments, and this woman in the front desk named Shaylynn or something like that was hitting on my husband right in front of my own eyes. She had the nerve to be rude to me, because I kindly asked her to look at me when shes talking to me and not look at my husband while Im talking to her. My husband was offended by her, and found it to be borderline sexual harassment. Little does this woman know that I was the one who was going to be paying the rent. So unless you want somebody who is in that building hitting on your man when you were at work one day or whatever then, I HIGHLY suggest suggest you stay away from this. Oh, and to top it off- My husband asked for her supervisors card and card to corporate- she then felt the need to tell me and my husband to leave the property or she will call the cops on us. I am honestly in shock as to how such a respectful place can have such a rude and disrespectful woman working there.

*LADIES* if you plan on moving in with your husband, fiancé, or even boyfriend, PLEASE read this first. The leasing specialist that works there, Shallen Mirzababa, is not really someone who I personally believe should be working there and heres why:Once on a rainy day, my boyfriend made his coffee from the machine downstairs in the lobby, and just as he was about to exit the building, shallen tells him hey dont you want your umbrella, youre going to get wet and he replied no im good, she then said oh *giggles*, i see, you like getting wet dont you, she actually made my boyfriend feel uncomfortable especially since she said it in a way that sounded disturbing, like shes turned on or something. I told him to let it go.Now it wasnt until October that she really crossed the line, how? Well, let me begin by saying I DONT KNOW THIS GIRL, AND SHE DOES NOT KNOW ME. She just saw me come and go with my boyfriend a few times.This girl has the audacity to talk smack about me TO MY OWN BOYFRIEND and tell him that she thinks IM A GOLD DIGGER and that I seem like a drama queen and that my bf doesnt need drama in his life.My boyfriend immediately called me and told me to come. I went there, sad down in front of her and smiled, and I said yes, who are you, and why are you talking about me to my boyfriend. Her face turned red and she tried to shake my hand but I did not reach out to shake her hand back. I was like listen, im not trying to create any problems, I just want to know why you are talking about me when I have never even met you beforeShe pulls out her pink Pepper spray and says I need to vacate the property or she is going to call the cops. She followed me to the garage and said Im not allowed on this property ever again and that if i come on the property, my car will get towed and I will get arrested.I emailed Tara, the property manager right away,, but guess what, she never even responded to me.

Shallen Mirzababa shouldn’t be working there or any where else ..... well not as a receptionist she’s needs to learned how to treat people with respect Me personally had a bad experience with her she needs to be fired ASAP !!
