This place is the worst!! They never want to fix anything and are rude ignorant, I’ve been trying to get them to fix a leakage from the upper apartment and they haven’t done anything I would rate this 0 stars I am currently looking to get a home as I’m tired of every problem these apartments give me also they don’t want to fix but they have time to keep charging you rent money

I applied here like 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything from them. I even called to ask for a status update since I had to pay a fee to apply and they said they’d check and call me back but just never did. This place has terrible management and you need to avoid at all costs.

I went to take a look at the property and loved the service I received, looking forward to moving in. I was able to look at the apt I will be moving into, so refreshing to have this type of option now a days.

If i could id give them a 0/5, the office people barely keep up with their residents and have terrible management/unorganized. We already put in a deposit for a remodeled unit and they have not updated us with anything. Not only that, we reported issues from our bathroom, and AC not working and nothing has been done. Irresponsible.

The Otto apartment establishment are filled with a friendly and convenient staff who are willing to help anybody find a new home with great prices! A young lady named Jessica was super helpful in the process of me moving into my first apartment. She explained everything to me in a very simple manner and walked me through all the paperwork and found me a great studio that I’m pleased with. I would recommend anyone who is willing to find an apartment to go visit Otto Apartments, they are great!

Highly recommended! Jessica from the office was super sweet, nice, and very helpful. She has answered all my questions that I had. As for the rest of the staff they are just as helpful!

The leasing agent blew up my phone with informtion regarding the apartment I would move into and once i filled out the application and paid deposit. They wouldnt let me move in & didnt get a refund for my $. I feel like I got screwed.

Maintenance is the worst i was without AC for a whole week and they kept saying that they had fix it when they never did, they even try to tell me stop washing/drying and coooking if i wanted my AC to work.Horrible place.

I rented here for 2 months until I moved out of state. The staff is very nice and friendly 5 stars to them. The outside looks great 5 stars on that and affordability. But the roach problem was insane. It was sprayed 2 times when I was there. I had very little and kept things super clean. They would even be outside the apt. At night people would crank there stereo and sit in there car for 1 or 2 hours between 1 and 5am. I had a group of males knocking at my door for 2 to 5 minutes 3 different occasions between 12pm and 2 am.... They kept knocking after I said wrong house. Set up and appearance is OK and Merriam elementary is great but at night you get some real creeps and the gate had a big whole so you can walk in and out without a code. The gate only worked half the time and people still jump the fence... And the roaches r bad.

One word RUN!!!!!!! Worst apartments ever..... let’s start with the roach infestation. They’re everywhere no matter what you do or how clean you are you can’t get rid of them. When you tell the office they act surprised like come on y’all see these reviews. Go days without hot water. If you like having a parking spot forget about it if you move here bc after 8pm you won’t have one. Pool is never open nor gym. Just stay away and thank me later!!!!!

I didnt have a terrible experience with Cantera Creek. You get what you pay for and its cheap for the area. Front staff was always nice. I never had a huge problem with bugs. It was overall just okay.

If you are tired of life and need some faustration you can go ahead and lease with Otto, this property is the worst ever.The City of Dallas needs to conduct a serious investigation concerning this property. They are fraudulent and highly unhygienic. Most money they collect for pest control, is just fraud no pest control anywhere.How do I even start to mention the terrible services of the property, is it from the worst and naive management; to Dog poo everywhere or loosed dogs everywhere (uncared for), very dirty environment, roaches and rats in the apartment.My unit was flodded couple of months back, this people literally did nothing about it. I still have a carpet that has been flooded for over four times without a pad under it. The management team are full of lies and to me incompetent and fraudulent.My kids are presently facing health challenges due to dusty/damaged carpet, roaches and rats poos everywhere. One star RATING is just for me to log in my review as OTTO APARTMENT is practically ZERO RATING.I have stayed two years in the apartment and its been a faustrating and terrible experience. I am not a review person but I think I need to now continually do this to save a family or single that intend to fall a prey of this apartment management.

They dont even deserve that the women are rude I been here over a year my bills paid every month me and my ex husband split I got to the office five times and ask them give me time the 18 Ill pay rent 18 comes around they turn off my lights in the middle of summer and tell me to get them back on I have to pay 1,998,00 and that they wasnt in the office I had 2,000 I just got and my 1 year old nephew sweating so bad I have to pay 320.00 for a motel cause they couldnt work with me one month the gave me no notices to phone calls and wont let me in my mailbox they shouldnt work here and someone need to check the people living here cause last time I checked you was supposed to have id, social, and so on to rent a apartment my ex husband had nothing and they moved him in

Wouldn’t let me see my unit until I paid a 300 deposit. Then after letting me tour the unit (with someone obviously still living there) i wasn’t cleared to move in till three months later after being told I could move in right after giving them my money. I decided to go with another complex after they ducked my calls during the three months and when I let them know I wasn’t interested anymore they said they couldn’t return my deposit (which I was told was fully refundable) because I “cancelled” on them. Not only completely unprofessional, but downright criminal. So glad that I don’t live here, even if it cost me a pretty penny. Seriously don’t move here and if you don’t have another option then don’t give them a cent until they’re ready to have you sign a lease . Would give 0 stars if I could

Warning if your a Guest!!! there is never Guest Parking available, even if you park in front of the towing sign and register you car in the guest system your still get towed even tho its illegal to tow a car in front of the sign. the towing company is very disrespectful, they claim that the parking in front of the sign is still Resident parking, so beware! if you cant find a guest parking spot dont park there at all. I believe that the apartment and Towing company has some kind of partner money % deal going on

Although everyone has bad reviews, I have not one thing to complain about. Not a single roach in my apt since I moved in. My unit was cleaned, everything works great including the AC! I have been here for a month and honestly I can say I love coming home.

They deserve zero star, the apt look nice on the outside but when you come in, you ll be disappointed..its filled with roaches everywhere, they charge you every month for pest control services.The apt is made with cheap products, refurbished bathtops, fridge and cooker. they only put a white paint on it to look new.only the apt office look nice to attract you here, the gym and pool is for fashion and photos only, you will not be allowed to use it..ask them for key to the gym..they always lie to youplease i beg you dont waste your money here.

This apartment complex is not a good place to move. They come with many problems and have a bad roach problem because of the nasty people they lease out their apartments too. The management sucks, they never answer the phone in the office but ride around on a golf cart trying to look cute and make it seem as if they’re doing a good job. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to my biggest enemy.

These ppl really think that bc they slap some paint on the outside and make some changes to the office that will change the outcome of these apartments! They are horrible and should be torn down! To have your tenants living with roaches is downright ridiculous! They refuse to do anything about the horrible roach infestation and leave a generic response to all of these horrible reviews. Smh My husband and I are moving after just 6 months bc we can no longer take living here. Please do not be swayed by the pretty pictures online or the “new renovation”!

The maintenance here is terrible. Super slow. Took days to get ac installed when it was 100+ outside. When they finally came in to fix it they trashed my bathroom. No parking here ever. Dont waste your money here.

*PSA*Ok, where to start... first of all DO NOT LEASE HERE. Ive lived here for a year and wow. I am speechless at the fact I have lasted a year. Of course these apartments are not the most luxurious and you also do not pay the luxurious price. They are somewhat renovated, I say somewhat because they have granite counters but the cabinets are falling apart. My stove has ROACHES INSIDE OF IT, my bedroom does not cool/heat, there is no parking after 7 PM. Residents are messy, people sell drugs. Its crazy. Like I said you do not pay the luxurious price, but I also do not think you should pay what they charge because every single unit is a mess. DO NOT let the 5 star reviews fool you. If you see a 5 star review it is from the leasing office or an idiot they convinced to make a review. Ive been inside the office while people complain about issues in their apt, I know I am not the only one. Trust me when I tell you that the 1 and 2 star reviews are the accurate reviews. They are about to do renovations again and am I excited to see what BS they come up with this time. They are also under new management, but same employees so the next year will be interesting for this complex. Overall just save yourself, honestly. I hate to say it, but if you want a decent home with no issues, privacy, and clean then buy you a house or go lease a luxurious apt because that is the only way that you will find a home that you are satisfied with. I will not renew my lease and I hope none of you guys have to go through this major headache.

My roof fell on me while asleep. *drops mic*Do not move here if you don’t like, roaches, unprofessional management that lack compassion & communication skills with staff/residents, lack luster living arrangements, unnecessary charges which appear out of no where and lastly, accommodations that haven’t been inspected in years such as a roof not being secured to panels.The only benefit is knowing what NOT to look for in a complex.

Wonderful community and a great staff. They have the best afterschool program in Dallas. Kids-U helps my son with homework and feeds them. They help me out because I dont have to pay for childcare. Yay!

DO NOT MOVE INTO THE OTTO!!This newly purchased (by Investors Property services) renamed dumpyard is the WORST apartment complex i have ever lived in.There is 0 parking for anyone. Even if you live gere and if you have a guest over you can vount on it being towed away. The roaches are rampant. The leasing office is useless. The vuilding are half painted and look like garbage. I would like to rate this place 0 STARS.

I lived here for a while. The reason being complacent and the rent is cheap. However now that it’s “winter” I finally see less bugs. The property has a bad bug (roach) problem. They have pest come spray every Tuesday. Parking. If I come home around 7 best believe you will be parking far from you building or since they have construction you willl be parking on the fire line which the complex lets you do if you have a parking sticker. Okay so weAll know you can’t park on a fire lane, for safely reasons. But it’s being done and is very annoying trying to maneuver your way out of a parking spot. Management, it takes a hot minute to get a work order completed, the office is literally a fashion show for telamundo, no offense at all but it is. I hate that there is no diversity at all. You can never get a clear answer, and never see the manager just the girls who answer the phone, I would say if you move here the property is full of Afticans, I’m not being offensive given I’m a black woman but it is mostly women and men from African, I would say look else where but if you must move here just take what I said in to consideration,

The worst. I moved out about a year ago and never looked back. Whenever I moved in my apartment wasnt ready until the day of move in so I didnt even get to see what the inside looked like. Roaches everywhere the first day I was there. A month or two into living here my apartment was broken into and it took maiyenance about 2 days to finally fix my door... Which they barely did. Drug dealers everywhere. Just awful and gross.

I been living here 4yrs been having a problem when it comes to getting fixed things im my apt.. When i put in the request online maintenance dont show up until a month later i put in a pest control request is been more then a month and they never showed up. Me and my husband have to go frequently to the office and ask whats going on like always they say the request has been put on.. We practically have to tell the maintenance people to come fix our stuff because thats the only way they will come.. So sick of it.. Always turning off our water then they forgot to turn on the cold or hot water have to take uncomfortable showers.. Seriously thinking of not renewing our lease no more.. Also no parking lots after 11 😒

I am living here for 4 months. My unit is totaly renovated but roaches are everywhere even in the refrigerator. The pest control team came but after e weeks roaches still are here.It takes forever to The maintenance team come and fix something.Do not move in here. It is waste of your money

I just moved in at Cantera Creek and I am verte happy with my apartment, everyone at the leasing office is really nice.

I am looking to relocate from another state and have sent e-mails. They dont even respond. I guess I should look at it as a blessing in disguise, because if you cant e-mail someone back when you work in an office environment, you probably are terrible at property management. Judging by the reviews, they sure are awful!

Ive raised my rating 2 stars because they do make an effort. It still needs a lot of work.

Dont even think about moving here!! there is a pool in the community that is open 24 hours, people are in the pool laughing and screaming even at 4 a.m and community managers dont do anything to close the pool at night. you can not have even one night sleep!

Im a current resident and Im counting down the days till my six month lease is up. I shouldve listened to my friends when I was initially getting the apartment. They said to take into consideration the previous reviews, the apt staff should be contacting and bugging you about being a potential client not vise versa, and to explore the neighborhood before you blindly jump in it. Nonetheless, I wrongfully gave cantera creek the benefit of the doubt.The following is a complied list of why I rated the complex so low in such a short amount of time: first day the kitchen plumbing was not properly intact (pool party anyone?); the carpet did a good job hiding the raised nails throughout (ouch!); parking is trash after 8pm ANY day of the week for both residents and visitors; remodeled units may have your cable guy breaking walls to find the wires; my all time favorite, Pizza Hut will not deliver due to, safety concerns for their drivers 🙁; rent is due on the first but the online portal would not show your balance until the day of; the balconys stability is questioned; the onsite laundry facilities have low water pressures; dont even bother calling the office - my theory is that the phone is just decor (kinda like the fake fruit on grandmas dining table); and then theres THE KINGDOM OF COCKROACHES, at first I was like well theres pipelines and idk how clean my neighbors are but even after asking for pest control they emerged at all hours of the day.Well, if youve made it this enjoy the underlying terms and conditions. Once you lease abandon all hope.

Things looked clean when I moved in, but only being in the apt for a few hours the roaches started to crawl out from everywhere- I halted moving my stuff in until the next week so they could spray the apt- approximately 2 days after roaches started appearing in my refrigerator. They are coming out of the ceiling (1st floor apt) and yesterday they started appearing on the outer wall... now being seen in the bedroom. They are not sick or dying and the building is infested- it’s been 7 days since I signed the lease and requested to cancel my lease as of today. I have to throw away my bed and my couch... not to mention I haven’t eaten today since I spent ALL my money- almost $100 on groceries and they all need to be thrown away. I have spent $1600 in the last 3 weeks in deposits, pet fees, rent, and food and I won’t see any of it back and have nothing to show for it. I will be having to pay the rent until it’s leased. So I’m out of all my money, no bed, and nowhere clean to sleep...

This place is the worst after it was bought out. They only do 6 month contracts and they up the prices every contract. Pool - never open or clean. Upgrades or wear and tears on bathtub or counters never repair.

Just going to get straight to the point because this place has a number of problems. Pictures are included to show exactly what I mean. Lived here for almost a year and half and things have just gotten worse as the months go on. When I first moved in my hot water went in and out for months, constantly taking freezing showers, told the main office a numerous of times and could never actually fix the problem for at least two months. For whatever reason they are constantly cutting the water off, yes cutting the water off and it has nothing to do with the bill. Residents have gone whole days and nights without hot water or any water at all. It hasn’t happened too much recently last time we went without water was April 23rd 2018. When i first moved in it literally was almost every two weeks the water would be cut off. I pay to live in a gated apartment and to always have a parking spot. The back gate is always broken/ open and I mean literally ALWAYS. They have “fixed” the gate plenty of times but have never actually fixed the real problem, which is the gate just needs to be replaced completely. The staff is aware of the gate being broken and constantly puts the blame on the residents, however there have been at least 3 times that I can recall to where the gate starts to open and just stops mid way leaving the residents to be trapped since you can’t exit the way you come in. The residents literally have to physically move the gate in order to get out. Parking when I initially moved here wasn’t to troublesome, however for these last 4 months if you’re not home by 7-8pm you will have absolutely nowhere to park resident or not. As I am writing this 24 parking spots are unavailable due to huge storage crates taking up the spaces. And yes again the staff is aware of the parking issues the residents have had and have done nothing besides make it even worse. The first week of Apirl they sent residents letters stating they were providing new parking passes for residents and that by the end of the month they would go back to towing those not registered as a visitor or without a pass. It is now the middle of June and they have yet to fix the gate or start towing. This by the way was the third time they told me they would start to tow and months later still nothing. Not once has the staff updated residents on the parking issue or parking passes which has only gotten worse. It’s so bad to where residents have to park in fire lanes because there are no other spots. It’s getting very annoying because there are a number of cars (that have been here since at least February) that need to be towed and take up parking spots residents could be using. Getting issues fixed around your apartment is such a hassle. They have an online forum you can use however you’ll be waiting at least a month to get your issue resolved. The only way to get things taken care of is to physically go into the office EVERYDAY until the matter is handled. Which can also bare its own problems because they will be closed at random hours for unknown reasons, I find this to mainly be an issue on Sunday’s when for some reason they are just closed with no explanation as to why. Pest control is definitely an issue doesn’t matter if you’re clean, dirty, fog the apartment yourself, spray your vents and doors, request for pest control nothing can stop the bugs from coming. They lack attentive attention for their residents and a yearn to fix problems for residential retention. Now i do understand there is only so much the staff can do especially in an allotted amount of time, and that majority of the issues are things that need to be handled by the apartment management and not staff. The staff does actually try to help and have never been unpleasant to me so I definitely take that into consideration and have nothing but nice things to say about the staff. With that being said be sure if you sign a lease here you’re going to have to be extremely proactive and very PATIENT attitude! Wish I could renew hate moving but these are ongoing problems that are only getting worse.

Roaches are horrible .! First Day I moved in last year roaches was bad . Office management was very nice until they got new management, they so call fixing the apartment idk for what I will not let anyone move in over here, Another thing I dont like the idea of having to pay rent on line and be charged 14.95 for using my card to my own damn rent .! thats unfair .I be glad when my least up .

Very bad customer service there is no education or respect for the customer, its new members for customer service is fatal they treat people like them they want many problems in my stay, I was a resident for a year but it was the longest and most difficult year to live all weeks we had problems the manager never shows up to help and consult with clients every time I visit the office for an appointment with her and comment on the problems I was never attended the person who has as assistant is a person incapacitated for the position she is indiscipline poorly educated and belittling people I do not understand how they hire people for customer service like her if there are better people for that position if the manager reads this comment I would like to have an answer
