Told that if we did not fill car but let them, charge would be less. Not true! We left over 1/2 gallon in tank and they charged nearly $70!!! Robbery! Will definitely NOT be using Hertz again! Enterprise here we come! Disgusted ! Never never recommend them! Terrible misinformation!!

As a person that is exempt from wearing a mask due to epileptic seizures, a short Hispanic guy told me I had to wait outside. They made me wait for quite a long time till a heavy set woman attended me outside, all I had was one question as I turned in my rental vehicle. I was disgusted by the way they treated me and their terrible service. NEVER will I go back or recommend this place to anyone
I had a good experience with this group. Location wasn’t the most convenient for me but they helped make it work out with p/u and drop off at Bart and flexible with return dates as we extended our trip.

This place is busy! Firstly the employees here are outstanding. Javier took care of all of my needs and concerns. He went above and beyond by getting me into the car I wanted.Logisticsly, this place is a mess. Too small of an office for such a busy business. There definitely needs to be more employees to help customers.I was there for 2 hours, there was a line out the door. There needs to be one person dedicated to answering the phone. By answering the phones, it slows down the process and delays the customer in the office. There is no assigned customer parking. I witnessed people getting yelled at for parking where they werent supposed to be.

I had great service from the two African American men working that morning both were nice and had a handle on a full office. But when the African American girl came in one guy tried to bring her up to speed on whats happening and whos been helped. Pretty disappointed. I was charged for some kind of toll app after the fact, that I did not request nor did they explain to me. $34 extra...no courtesy phone call or communication. I feel like they take advantage. AAA recommended that I use them but I like the service at Enterprise far better. They treat people with respect

This was my first visit to California and the Concord area. I rented a car from a third party because it was the least expensive but it was also filled with hidden undisclosed charges. Brandi at this office was SO nice and accommodating and helped us get into the car. I would definitely recommend this location for future rentals.

I was late for my pick up 9 min. and even though I told her that I would have trouble if I didn’t rent the car (I needed to drive to my work), she didn’t want to help. I really asked her many times and was explaining her why this was so important to me and I ensured her that I wouldn’t take much time, because I had already paid for the rent online. She didn’t help. So when I asked her for a refund, she said I would have to proceed it online. After I got back home and tried to get my money back, I found out that I don’t get any refund because they do refunds before the pick up time. So why didn’t the assistant tell me about it when I was in front of her? Didn’t she know about the rules? She said she was a manager, so I expected her to know such things. In my opinion she is not enough educated to do her job or she is malignant. During our conversation she was smiling like she was feeling satisfaction that I was in trouble.What did I do then? Well, I walked to another rental car place, which was Enterprise. I got there around 6.20pm. They closed at 6pm but I noticed two men seating in the office. I went in and in a few words told them about my issue. And you know what? Even though they had already finished their work, they both helped me with NO complains. They went through the whole rental process with me and they showed me two cars outside the office, I could choose from. They even checked the tires for me. NO complains. I really appreciate them for that. This is what customer service should look like and the propriety as well.

Not a great experience at this location,. It took two hours to get a car that was sitting in the lot when I got there. Unacceptable. The car was so dirty that it had to be cleaned two and a half times, and still not as clean as it should be. I have to say they are understaffed which results in customers time being wasted. I had a previous similar experience with the same location, and never bothered to review it. Not today. I expect a call from them after calling their 800 number, will revisit this rating in case they reach out to me.

Steer Clear of this place. One employee. 7 people in line - and the employee took 40 minutes with first customer. I left when the employee had taken 25 minutes with 2nd customer. At that rate, I would have been helped 4 hours after arrival! first customer was still waiting for their car to be washed - so they had been there clear over one hour. Response from Employee was, Hertz policy is to have one employee per location Enterprise across the street is a 5 star operation, trust me, go there.

Terrible experience!!! When I return the car the guy there was busy and he told me leave the key youre done, at first I was happy it was that ease couse I have to go urgent for a trip to see my mom and when I see my credit card statement I found out that they charge me $143.21 extra, first they said the car has some damage, thats not true, later they said I bring the car late, they said I bring the car at 3 pm two days later and thats a lie, I it was 5;45, 15 minutes before they where close the due day. And when you go to try to get things clear they dont know what to do and they give you a phone number where nobody answer. The guy was right, Im done here, these are the last minutes Im wasting with Hertz.
If there were a negative 5 stars, this place would take the cake. Young lady is completely rude and lazy. When asked what cars were available, she opened her drawer, took out 3 remotes, and clicked each of them from her chair and said there they are, take your pick. When asked if we wanted to purchase the insurance, we replied no, our insurance would cover us, she replied Are you asking me or telling me? with a negative tone. Music so loud you can barely hear them talk. I listened to the other two other representative as well, and they all seem to have an attitude like you are putting them out. And they are right and you are wrong, Your patronage means zero! This was my second time renting from this place, the first time I thought id give them another shot. I have never seen more rude customer service in my life.

If your not in a rush and have 90 minutes to pick up your pre rented car from the 17th of this month this might be the place for you.Only had 1 person for all this reservations amd no one staffed correctly to get us on the go.Once I was next the rental agent was very helpful and nice though they didnt see my reservation till later.
There is a long line in the mornings, the cars are still being cleaned so be prepared to wait. They push their expensive insurance and give their advice on whether you are already covered by your credit cards. Make sure you confirm before visiting to avoid paying upwards of $40 per day. Also if you leave anything in the car of value, you will not have it returned.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I walked in wanting to rent a car, and the lady took a customer that arrived after me because they were friends. The two girls sitting behind the desk are two uneducated slobs who treat customers horribly (if you don’t believe me, just call their number and see how they treat you). We waited an HOUR to be helped when there was only one person in front of us. I’ve never seen a place run so horribly. Avoid this place, the people who work here are pretty incompetent.
My insurance company made the reservation after my car was hit. I called hertz in the morning and was first put on hold for 7 minutes. I hung up, called back and was told they were with another customer and they took my number and never called back. I decided to just go to the office where I waited over an hour and a half after standing and checking out for them to bring my car up so I can leave. No communication, poor attitude, very very slow service! I do not recommend. Then they gave me the wrong car. Supposed to rent a Hyundai they gave me a Nissan which was actually for another customer who’d been waiting over an hour

I just called this facility. Someone picked up and put me on hold for 15 mins. Then I called second time, the same lady picked but pretended as if she never spoke to me. Then again she put me on hold. Not sure whats going on with Hertz. I had a confirmed reservation online and they are saying they dont have cars available.
When I called to make a reservation I paid in full up front. I specifically asked them what I would have to pay at the counter, INCLUDING DEPOSITS and HOLDS, and they told me $21 and some change. This was a month ago when we made the reservation. We went today to pick our car up ready to pay the $21 for fees and taxes and they tell us then that its a $200 hold PLUS $58 for fees and taxes on top of a fee for a full tank of gas. We had no choice but to get the car because with such little notice and leaving for Disneyland tomorrow we do not have time to get another rental car. I am so irritated with this dishonesty and swindling. Do not go here, go to a rental car place that is up front from the beginning.

We rented a car with the Herz office recently, and when we returned it back we forgot to get back our valuables from the car. We realized it just 15 min later and gave them a call and they said our valuables are there and they promised to take care of them. When we were back to the office same day, we were told our car got rented with our valuables in it. Two weeks we kept calling them, and in the end they finally admitted they lost our valuables. Car rental company should take care of their customer goods accidentally left in a car, especially if they got a phone call immediately asking to keep the lost stuff. Otherwise its a very bad rental company.
No service what-so-ever. Rude unresponsive. Both young women that I spoke with there acted as if they were bothered that I was asking to rent a car. First call at 11 am, I was told that we dont have any cars right now, Whaaat? When asked when one might be available I was told in an hour. 2nd call 2:45 PM: I was told that they did not have the rental that I was told to CB in the morning for . Put me on a long. hold until I someone finally told me that they had a small suv when I had specifically requested a larger model. Couldnt post without a star..does not deserve one. HorribleAvoid this location like the plague..Horrible.

This hertz has the worst customer service ever. My insurance company set me up with a rental at hertz and they said that hertz could have a driver pick me up from work so i could get the rental car i had to call FIVE times just to get a ride everytime i called a women named keana would answer the phone and put me on hold and never pick back up then when i called back again she said she was sending a driver and I waited for 30 minutes and a driver never came so i called then again for the fifth time and i spoke with jazmine she was so nice and she sent me a driver in 3 minutes she is the only good worker there everyone else was terrible and i will be contacting their corporate office because that was unacceptable

Terrible and unprofessional service. When I arrived I parked next to another car in front of the building and as I walked in the car wash boy ran up to me and yelled that I couldnt park there as did the clerks inside. I moved and continued but while I was there someone else parked in the same spot and not one thing was said.

I had a horrible experience here at concord Hertz, I would suggest to try a different rental car company. Made a reservation online. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes to be helped. When inspecting the vehicle with the hertz associate I noted the vehicle smelled of smoke (specifically Marijuana). The associate agreed but insisted it was from outside and would go away. I asked if there was a different vehicle and the associate said no. After driving the car a day and air fresher smell that was used to mask the smell disappeared, the vehicle reeked of Marijuana smoke. That evening I called the customer service line, wanting to change because I was concerned of driving a vehicle that smelled of illegal substances. I was told to take the vehicle to the oakland airport hertz because I was working near there the next day, so the exchange would be easy. When returning the vehicle at the oakland airport, it was not easy. The associate at the counter was rude. Asking why I returned the vehicle to them. I explained the situation and said I was instructed to do so because it was simpliest for me the customer since it was near my work. The associate continued to tell me to not do it again, raising her voice. After continuing to explain the situation I was finally given a different vehicle. I am unhappy and upset. I never received an apology and was treated rude. Extremely unprofessional behavior and putting a customer in an unsafe and potentially illegal situation.
I went to rent a car at 12:00pm, they said they would send somebody to pick me up around 4pm, they never showed up, I called them around 5:00pm and they put me on hold for 20 minutes, I call them back again an finally somebody answer the phone and she said that they would send somebody to pick me up immediately.6:15 already an nobody showed up.Buy hey..... they already charge my credit cardHorrible service, dont waste your time.
