The car was extremely dirty on the outside and inside. It also smelled like cigarettes. You could clearly see ashes in the car. Car had burned marks on the seat. The car needed to be maintenance and burned gas very quickly. I had to wash the car before I went out of town. I have used Avis in the past with no problems but going to this location makes me not want to ever use Avis again.
Everything Ive rented from avis there was always an issue. I rent from one location they change the location then inform me there are no cars available and then the agent u spoke with is either not available or cant remember the conversation thats suppose to be recorded. No one at avis wants to take responsibility. This last trip was ot for me. Thanks alot for making us late to our function
I needed a vehicle while i let my daughter drive ours to college due to hers breaking down on a weekend. After experiencing the attitudes from others, I rented from AVIS. They were great and the young lady that checked me in was awesome. Thanks for helping take care of a family in need!

After having the worst experience on Harris T. Blvd location that involved assault to a patron from John and the worst customer experience ever.I managed to make a new reservation with Concord location and was assisted with Gordon.Gordon service was beyond professional with the best customer service provided.I received my rental in and out.Gordon is a great asset to Avis.Send him or someone and his expertise to REPLACE JOHN at the Harris T. Blvd location

This is due to no fault of the location where I picked the car up entirely. However less than 1 hour before my scheduled pick up time I was called to say there were no vehicles available. I had to call to speak to a reservations manager who said the only way he could guarantee me a car was to change my location to the airport which was an inconvenience as it was now a price increase along with having to pay for airport parking which I wouldnt have had to pay for parking before. Amongst a lot of other things when I finally did get a car..the fuse box cover was missing with wires & fuses showing. The car had not been vacuumed out completely along with many scratches being on the outside of the vehicle which I didnt notice until after I reached my destination because I was in a hurry due to being delayed by the previously mentioned inconvenience. This is the 1st Nad experience I have ever had with Avis & I use the company a lot so that says something but I have told several people about this horrible experience already and would not recommend using Avis.
Pick up was fine. No issues. Vehicle was clean and full of gas. The associate I dealt with when dropping off was not only unprofessional, she had an attitude. There was some interior damage I found after I picked the vehicle up. I took pics which showed a time stamp which was 30 minutes after I left Avis. When I made her aware of it, she asked me why I didnt call that day. I told her, can she show me proof it wasnt damaged when I picked it up. When I picked up, no one went over the car with me. She told me she would have to discuss with her manager. We then went out and looked at the car. Prior to, she scolded me for parking in the wrong spot and told me I need to move the car. Never looked at the interior damage. We went back in side and I explained I had purchased coverage that covers the entire vehicle and I did not want to get charged. She had another employee speak to me and told me they would have to take the car out of service and their fleet department would determine. I told him I got the vehicle from their location and he acted surprised. I told him I had full coverage and could have totaled the car and walked away with no out of pocket. The female employee looked up the coverage and then said she would be right back. She went out and spoke to the person that rented me the vehicle and returned stating Im good. I felt like the female associate was not taking my word for it before investigating, and if I parked the car in the wrong spot she should have had someone else move it once I left. The parking lot is shared with enterprise and had 2 spots open. I had to double park it where I was told to move it to. I normally use Enterprise but thought I would give Avis a try. I spent over $600 for a rental. Spending that much should warrant good customer service. Avis a one and done for me.

The lady that was working at the time of my pickup was the worst customer experience I witness. I initially called to let Avis know I was on my way and to confirm the car I reserved was available. She gave me an attitude and then had a smart remark saying I’m busy right now and then proceeded with complete silence for 2 minutes without saying anything to me. I came to pickup the vehicle at the register and nobody was there or a line. She was at the register never said hello to acknowledge me, she just stood there. I proceeded to give her my license and Visa card and she took forever to even grab it from me. I never complain but this lady was by far the worst and most horrible. The car I received was in wreck and smelled. I will NOT be renting anymore from Avis as long as that lady works there, period. I’m a AvisPreferred but I’ll be looking somewhere else. I felt like I was a McDonald’s drive thru, it’s was pretty sad!
All in all, i was done right for my recent rental. Car assigned for me had issues, but your counter person made it right. Very satisfied. Good job!
We reserved a rental from the Concord N.C. for our son and his family to visit us in Florida. Two days prior to picking up the rental vehicle, we learned there may be an issue because of the way the rental was reserved. Rita, the associate at Avis in the Concord airport, told us that she was unable to resolve the problem at the local level and suggested we contact corporate Avis in order to resolve the issue. Avis at the corporate level was no help at all and refused to assist us with the issue. After speaking with multiple associates and supervisors at the corporate level, I once again contacted Rita at the Local Avis airport location. Rita was, once again, extremely helpful and provided me with the name of her district manager, Scott H., and suggested I call him for assistance. District Mgr. Scott H. was very understanding, looked into the situation, and contacted me the next morning to tell me the issue had been resolved and our rental would proceed as intended. Thank you Rita and Scott for caring about a customer and making our visit with family possible.

Im a preferred Avis customer for at least 6 years. During those 6 years Ive never had the experienced i had when trying to rent on 5/17/21 at the Concord NC location. 1st I was told that was not my correct Avis number, after researching it miraculously appeared after about 15 minutes. I picked up my rental this morning and noticed the invoiced stated i had a full tank if which it was not. Then i noticed the my rate changed from 32.00 to 90.00 per day. Will not be renting at Avis any more

Maybe she doesn’t like to help African American customers. I will never use Avis again. Location was Concord Regional Airport at 1215 on 4/9/2021. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I rent a ton of cars, have used almost every rental company, and have rented all across the country. This location and staff is among the top. They are reliable, friendly, and accommodating. I will definitely remain a long term, satisfied customer. 10/10 recommend.

Rick truly saved us!! A competitor of Avis completely failed us and called us 30 minutes before our pickup time to tell us they had no cars and didn’t know when they would. We frantically started calling around and Rick at the Avis in Concord came to the rescue. He was kind, informative, and efficient while we were in a tight spot. Any time we need to rent a vehicle in the future it will be from him.
They gave me a car that wasnt what was in my reservation. The car smelled of cigarette smoke and the car wasnt clean dust on the dash an the exterior was just dirty. For the price I was charged it wasnt worth it
Best rental experience Ive had. I shopped around the Concord area and decided on the airport because of the customer service I received. Other places acted like they didnt have the time to talk to me. But both Bobby and Rita went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my rental.

Husband/wife team working the Avis/Budget rental service. I had the keys to my car before my luggage even came to the luggage return. Super friendly, helpful, and quick. No one was present during drop off, so I was going to leave my keys in the return box, but a cop was standing nearby and said they were probably at lunch and showed me where to set the keys on the desk. It’s a 2-gate airport so all the people that work there know each other. Great experience - I would definitely use them again!

This is how easy it should be to rent a car! Pre-paid online, showed up to the desk at time reservation. In about 5 mins had the keys and was on the road. No uncomfortable pressure to buy add-ons, upgrade car, etc. The woman at the counter was very nice and quick. I appreciate the no “young drivers fee” time period. Definitely will rent again with Avis.
Avis has always been fair and offered me the best rates they could. Their cars are always clean and serviced. I feel safe and secure when I use Avis cars.

A bit surprised by the reviews. I flew into Concord on a last minute business trip. I had planned to Uber to my destination near Uptown. However, after speaking with Bobby, I was able to make quick arrangements to rent a midsized SUV for the day. This turned out perfect. I did not have a reservation and the gentlemen that assisted was pleasant. Of course they secured a credit card number for security (which is done almost everywhere in the world), but I took no issue with this. Would use again.
Whole experience was fast, efficient and little to no waiting. However, the gas tank was less than full and the vehicle smelled somewhat like smoke and stale.
Awesome. I use this location for frequent work rentals and they are super friendly, professional and the location is very convenient to my home. Overnight parking for your personal vehicle is secure and safe and only $5.00 a day. They are great to work with and provide nice, clean cars.

I wish I could give no stars, because Avis sucks!!! I reserved a vehicle on for pick up on January 1, 2019 at the Concord NC airport. As, the regular locations where closed it was advertised to be open until 6pm. I made it to the airport at 2:20pm to see that nobody is behind the desk, Incalled some number they had sitting at the desk and some guy tell me they close at 2 today. Why do you advertise the hours to be open until 6pm, when you close at 2pm!! I will never use Avis car rental ever again.

I reserved a car for today and with a rush I went there and the kid told me He couldn’t rent the car to me because I didn’t have a credit card. I have rented cars before never had an issue like this. Avis at the Concord, NC airport used to be my go to rental place (used them for YEARS). People were fantastic and the service was great. Here recently Aviss wont answer the telephone (no matter how many times I call and any location) at their local locations and I always have to talk to someone at their national call center. They never have rentals available and the service sucks compared to the local service I used to get. I have switched to Enterprise!
I wish there was a half star option. I made a reservation 3 days prior to my trip, had a reservation number, and was told I was all set to pick up my rental vehicle. Once I arrived at the airport I was told by an employee that the reservation number I had was not a reservation number, and my reservation had not been accepted. My husband and I were stranded, and Avis left us no other options because they didnt have any vehicles for us to rent. The story has a happy ending though, I called a competitor and was able to have them pick us up at the airport, put us in a very nice car for a lot less money. I would not recommend this rental company to anyone unless they are looking for poor customer service, and a headache!
