POLICE CALLED!Wow, Stephanie OWNS this business but apparently has little to no long term vision. We arrived at the store and my daughter used her bathroom. Daughter is SEVEN so it was gracious of her to allow. On the way back my daughter saw those new “pop toys” and Stephanie offered to give it to her. My daughter said thanks and we wrapped up. After wrapping up, we prepared to leave and realized the car was wafting in smoke. Since it’s a huge penalty, I went inside to note and also, negotiate a discount or a replacement. This turned into exchanging pretty typical arguments and I finally told her “screw you” and indicated I’d take my complaints to social media. She followed me to the truck and demanded the toy back and proceeded to stand in front of the truck and pull a van in front of me. After I refused to give back the toy (how silly, really), she canceled my paid for rental contract. We waited for the police and they gave me a courtesy ride to Enterprise. I recommend just going to Enterprise ♥️♥️
If I could give 200 stars I would! Our train was behind and did not arrive until after close. Stephanie waited at the rent place 4 and half hours after close to hand us the keys. The best customer service I have ever had! Highly recommend this place.

However, I would like to point out some details .1) I find it incredibly surprising that after your daughter took my daughter’s favorite toy without asking, I felt bad and was going to let her keep it, but then you came to me screaming in front of my customers just to get a free rental. Sorry not with me.So I demanded back what belongs to my daughter.I feel very sorry for the little girl, not for you.2) My regular customers know me. They know I am very nice . Therefore, after you told me you didn’t want this Tacoma, I offered you to trade vehicles to the nearest location at no cost . Which you refused abruptly. If there was an issue with the rental, I was happy to even give you a complimentary discount. But there wasn’t . So the only solution was to take it and exchange it .3) Instead of accepting, you started screaming at my other customers who were mad at you for interfering and cutting the line.4) You don’t go to a business, insult the staff and other customers, and expect to receive service .5) There was absolutely no reason to threaten me with writing a bad review if I didn’t give you 50% off .6) next time, be more proactive. Be nice to customer service ( in general ) and you will see a difference.You could have ended with a free rental at the end .But decided to call the police on me for refusing service.7) what did the police do when they arrived ?They Politely asked you to give me the keys back because the Tacoma was still on our possession and you were not authorized to drive away with it.Trying to steal my personal belongings? Inside my back office, when I only allowed you to use the restroom? Come on.Teach your daughter better values next time.
Beware of this location! I rented a car for one day. On return it was inspected and I was told it was fine. Weeks later I received a letter stating that I was being charged $250 for animal hair found on the carpet. I didnt have any animals in the car. Customer service was rude and they used my credit card information on file to charge my account without my permission. Extremely underhanded and frustrating.
This is the WORSE experience of my life! Not only did Stephanie forget to check the car in - we were charged 3 EXTRA days, sent to loss prevention, charged $575, and an extra $250 for vacuuming the car. No one was willing to help me. Stephanie spoke to me on the phone while she was cleaning. Did not care nor wanted to help. She also charged me extra $250 for cleaning fee that I had no idea existed. The customer service is awful and I would never recommend this place. I was on the phone trying to take care of these issues for most of my day. GO TO Enterprise! I am warning everyone that reads this- the WORSE, WORSE, WORSE. Concord Budget would be the most horrendous experience.
I have been renting a car from this Budget location on a monthly basis since August 2020. Stephanie is always very pleasant and accommodating and on most days, has a great selection of cars to choose from. As for the price, in comparison to other Budget locations nearby, this one is the lowest most of the time. Overall a great place to rent cars.
By far the best car rental place in the whole East Bay. Traveling often and previously trying different agencies, Stephanie /Budget has the best rates and most important thing to me about any business is that her customer service is second to none. Ran late a few times/traffic traveling from across the bridge trying to make it by closing time and she waited a an hour after closing time for me to arrive to pick up my rental. Amazing.Other Budget rental agency on North Main-Manager in particular was so rude and very unprofessional. She would not even answer one single question i had over the phone cause Gosh forbid she was closing at noon on Saturday and it was11:56pm. Thankfully that was the last and final straw (3xs)with that agency and then I found Stephanie at the the agencyBudget/Avis at 1790 Concord ave. Night and Day service. Reason why theres such a big surplus of cars at North Main is no one hardly wants to rent from there unlike the friendly and superb customer service you get from Stephanie and her staff. Facts

Located next to the Sears Auto Center, the Budget facility is clean, its staff friendly and helpful. The best thing about it, however, was the ease and speed with which I got my car and was able to be on my way.Although I requested a compact, I ended up with a Hyundai Elantra, which I wouldnt buy, but it was clean, got decent gas mileage and suited my needs for this particular rental purpose. As my own car was in the shop for repair, this vehicle served an important purpose, as a friend was in town and I needed a car to pick and drop her at the airport.As it turned out, my own car had transmission issues, and I was faced with purchasing a new car - which I did. When I told the Budget agent that I needed the car for more than just one day, she was most helpful in arranging for four days (New Years Day included). I ended up renting the vehicle from Thursday through Sunday and couldnt be more pleased with the service.I give this Budget Car Rental Agency at Sunvalley Shopping Center my highest recommendation(s).

Update 2019.. I still continue to rent a lot for family vacations and traveling. I continue to recommend this location for their customer service and outstanding smooth process.. ************ I rent a lot due to my son being in College at UCSB. So I have rented quite a few rentals since August 2015, Around 7 I believe. Always ready for me when I walk in the door. Very pleasant and service is always very good. The ladies always have the Office clean and paperwork and payment done always less than 10 mins. Sign and keys in hand and away I go. Always fast thorough service and I will continue doing business with them =) I would highly refer this location.Thank you ladies for making it a breeze!
They over charged, hidden fees and fake quote online. 86$ and end up paying 200$

Had to change car because the first car needed an oil change... ☹3 stars for the friendly staff, but no stars to Avis for supplying a car that needed an oil change.
