I signed up last month and I found a place pretty quickly. I had to make my own appointments, which anyone can do. I would recommend them to anyone. They have new places every day. I was looking to move and I called renting concepts. Doreen explained how they work and what I was getting for the registration/membership fee I was paying. I understood and went to apply. I was given access to their web site, which they helped me keep in touch with the apartment rentals in the areas I was looking, and right around my price range. It was a little bit of work, BUT I found a Place on the 5th day with them, and I signed a lease with the Landlord 2 days later.. VERY HAPPY will use them again and will recommend them to all.Thank you Doreen and Thank you Renting Concepts staff.

This is an absolute scam - the saddest part COVID19 is in existence and these individuals are stealing from other humans who are in need of our primary need- SHELTER. Great service, At first my boyfriend and I were desperate to find an apartment. But we had to take your advice and we are patient, in the end we found what we were looking for and in our budget. Do not get carried away by the reviews When you are looking for a place to live you have to be patient that is the key.

Why do you guys always bad mouth your competitors when you do exactly the same thing and from what I can see, they have a better inventory for the exception of Paterson and who wants to live there? I signed up for renting concepts online by mistake on 7/27/20, which cost $89. I immediately called the agency and requested a refund. The young lady emailed me the reform form. After reading the fine print. I realized they would take out $39 for cancellation. (My mistake for not reading the fine print). Within 10 days, I would get my refund in the mail. I faxed and emailed the form multiple times. It’s going on a month now and I still have not received my refund. I called the office and spoke to someone. I keep getting the run-around. I WANT MY REFUND. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST COMPANY.

Just a short message to say Thank you Renting concepts. I signed up and paid $100 for their services. I found a place in 1 day .. I needed a place asap ! Didnt care if a room or studio or an apartment, found a room in Montclair for $420 a month, The best part is I still can access their web site in order to find an apartment for myself. The girls in the office were terrific and understood my urgency.Dont listen to what those other people say, They were terrific helping me.

I listed my home on Craigslist including a detailed description & my contact number. Folks from Renting Concepts reached out inquiring about the property and letting me know that their clients were interested.I looked up their website and noticed they had taken all of the information I posted on Craigslist (pictures & description) and interestingly enough omitted my phone number from the description on their website. As Im browsing their website I notice they charge a pretty penny $149 in order to get you in touch with the owner which is absolutely ridiculous.Guys, please do your due diligence and look for rental listings through Craigslist and Zillow where you can find the same information and contact details for free....Lets have some common sense.Edit: I stand by what I say above. Additionally, your statement is incorrect. I did not grant approval for my listing to be shared, neither written nor verbal. Oral authorization must be confirmed in writing within 24 hours. Id know as Im the owner. Someone isnt doing their homework...Every person engaged in the business of referring prospective residential tenants to possible rental units must be licensed. Unfortunately, Renting Concepts does not appear to be listed as licensed by the NJ Real Estate Commission. There are numerous complaints in older reviews that will only support my statement of not having granted this company permission to put my listing up on their site.To search for any business that is licensed by the NJREC:state.nj.us > Licensee Search > Real Estate > NameTo file a complaint:state.nj.us > Consumer Assistance, Inquiries, Complaints > Real Estate

Very patient with me . Understood where my frustration was coming from. Finding an apartment is difficult, but she made it look like it was so easy. The way she carried herself and spoke about her goals confidently was great. Even while we were there phones were ringing, shed pick up and try to help them out. this 20 something year old carrying a business on her shoulders. I definitely would recommend Lydia. Hi yes I paid them $100.00 for a 4 month membership, I found a place after about a week. You do have to be on their web site everyday sometimes 3 times a day, they are always putting new things into their site for us to see. One thing good is that they really attempt to help you if your having trouble. I will use them again if I decide to move. $100 was a special they were running. I suggest going into their office rather then signing up online, its cheaper in office, and you get personal assistance. Thank you for reading .

My sister actually signed up in the summer and found a place ASAP. I signed up and I was very happy with how they treated me. I made my appointments, I did find a few rented already but I was able to view a few places and I was able to find an apartment and move in. Thank you Renting Concepts staff you have been very good to My sister and Now very good with me .

I saw posting via Facebook so I decided to reach out about an apartment. When I called as directed I was then directed to their website. I searched the site and decided to read the reviews. Very honestly, the way you guys respond to negative reviews is enough to make me not want to move forward with working with you. Your responses are tacky and unprofessional.I work in workforce development and I teach customer service and you guys are failing at that miserably.You are losing customers before you even get them.Who ever is in charge of your PR is not doing a good job at all.If you are ever in need of assistance with how to respond to such feedback feel free to reach out to me. I went with my wife last week, we were desperate to find a perfect apartment for us and our two children, the staff really helped me and they were contacting me until I found and rented the apartment for my family.

You are better of going through google and/or craigs-list yourself. They do not help you find a rental. All they do is show you listings with the owners contact information (that can be found through google anyway) and ask you to contact the owners yourself. You “pay” them to update their listings.

Worth it to pay i was able to find a nice place heat and hot water inc. On a nice secure town for a great price and lots of parking space even my car insurance is $100 cheaper

Its obvious you put your own positive reviews on 1 hour after someone exposes you as a fraud. you are so lazy you just copy a paste a rental onto your site from another site and then run it on craigslist word for word same as the original post from the landlord, at least be creative. stop being so lazy and do not think people are so dumb to believe your fake positive reviews

Renting Concepts is giving customers FALLACIOUS information. Moreover the employee Karen gave me the private number of a woman and FALSELY INFORMED me that she was a landlord. Furthermore it is DISHONORABLE and CORRUPT to make customers PAY A FEE for a service that was NOT given.

My sister and i were looking to move together, she paid your fee and we spent a lot of wasted time calling from your site. everything we called was either rented or a real estate with a outrages fee or another company similar to yours. i had my sister inform your agent and to please help.....NO HELP, She would look into the rentals from another company? So we spoke to the other company, they said companys take there advertisements off of craigslist as there own and try to sell them as yours. after seeing there site and talking to them we paid with reluctance and had 4 solid appointments today and and tomorrow, Thank you New Jersey rentals, I will be seeking my sisters money back

Fake fake fake fake. Tired of these places taking up my marketplace on Facebook. They do not have up to date information on these apartments but give an illusion as if they do. With their one time non refundable fee they make you pay just to search for apartments that are no longer available and posts that are 1+ year old. Pathetic reporting to the BBB.

I give it zero, they are stealing other peoples listing. none of the apartments they list are actually theirs. on top of it the apartment mangers they do not answer the phone and if they do the apartment has already been taking days or months ago. they are scammers and thieves.

I swear every time I called a number from off their list the apartment was no longer available.

False advertisement. Same ads are on craigslist and their website states no broker fees. But their listings are through realtors. So not only are you paying 150$ for old listings, but they scam you with the broker fee that goes to the realtor. Unprofessional, manager hung up on me when I contacted her about getting my money back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

I went into renting concepts on the 16th of april and got approved for an apartment on the 17th. Im very happy with this service. I would highly reccomend if your having trouble finding a place to rent. The fee is 120 but its worth it! I will return if i need assistance in the future! Hope this is helpful for everyone. 5 stars!!!!

This Company is a SCAM stay away dont give them your money. LYDIA is a liar. They steal ads from creg list and other free sites and repost them I personally talk to a landlord who told me they have never put there apt with them. the price was wrong also. Everything they have on there website can be found for free with all the info, with out having to pay... This people are liars scam artist and not trust worthy at all.they dont even call there clients or work with you at all. While looking for an apt a little over a year ago, my partner and I decided to give this company a try. We went to the office in Clifton signed up using her info and couldn’t find NOTHING. All their listings were from Craigslist which I could’ve gotten myself and have. Then there were plenty that only had renting concepts number. How do u give us a listing of landlord to contact and it’s your own number? Next problem we tell them we want to talk to the landlord, and then they say “oh we forgot to take that listing down”. A few Apts I found a number to reach someone to ask about the ad and the management for the apt said they do not authorize nor do they affiliate with renting concepts. So guess what, we lost out on our money and ended up finding something on our own. Now we are looking for something bigger and of course, all we see is different phone numbers for renting concepts yet when going to another site and finding the same ad, it’s through a realtor who says RENTING CONCEPTS DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO POST THIER ADS.

They’re helpful and found rental place early

This place is a joke. They list apartments/housing on behalf of the landlord. They don’t allow you a chance to view any listing without registering and paying a fee of about $150, for a membership which is for 3 months. So it does not workout for people who wants to view only 1 of the listing they have posted. This place is a scam, Trying to force membership on people.

Similar to the rest of the reviews of this company I need to stress that this is a SCAM. I am an apartment owner who has repeatedly caught this company listings my listings without authorization. Their entire inventory is a fraud, just like their listings!
