Not going to lie I was kind of scared of all the reviews. But I have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I worked with Jesse Ayende he was super friendly and matched my energy. Very informative and also quick and honest about fees currently waiting on my car so so far so good. coming in was quick pleasant and so far a great experience. I was a little late but still managed to get a car during my grace period. I would say give it a shot why not.

BEWARE OF SCAMS!First of all, if you are renting from another country just know that the final price will be over 500% of the original price because of “local fees”And their system switched my dates for a completely different date and I was charged of a “NO SHOW UP FEE” of 50$ and somebody else booked right away after me.they told me there is nothing they can do about it and that I was lying.

GET THERE EARLY!!! The people who work here are really friendly and give great service, but we waited for 3 hours to get a car. Our reservation was for noon, we got there at 11 and got in our car at 2pm. Other car rental companies were shut down, so I think everybody had to come here. Besides the wait time everything else worked out just fine.

Wuao! Dificult to find a good price and friendly rental car in PR. This place is great. At only 7 minutes drive from the airport. They have a shuttle that pick you up and drop you from and to airport. Fast service. Very friendly, professional staff. Thoughrly explain every step and rules. Offer insurance, epasses, others... We found a greeeaaattt price on a rental and We were expecting a very small vehicle. We got a beautiful brand new Nissan Versa 4d that was very comfortable and gas saver. We are extremely happy With everything. Again, the best staff I have encounter. Not because you renting a very inexpensive vehicle they treat you different, NO great service always!

They had the cheapest rental car, so you get what you pay for but overall it was not bad. Make sure you plan some extra time for renting a car since everything takes a little bit longer. There is a shuttle taking you to the rental location 5 minutes away from the airport. We waited another 20 minutes in line to get our car. The car was clean and worked great. We had it for 6 days and had no issues with it. We returned it and waited 15 minutes to return it and waited another 15 minutes for the shuttle back to the airport.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I booked through a third party and it said that cancellation was free and there was no small print. When I saw all the negative reviews about this place I panicked and cancelled. They insisted that canceling cost $50 and said I had made TWO reservations which I did NOT. So they took $100 from my account. I’ve been calling them and been calm, explaining the situation and they’re very rude. Please don’t even think of renting from this place. There’s also a lot of hidden fees and it ends up costing as much as anywhere else. Go to somewhere reputable and save yourself the headache and money. There’s no way this place ever gets repeat business. They count on new customers who don’t know anything about how horrible they are.

We rented a car for a week in June. We had to wait for more than an hour to get the car. They try to charge you many additional fees which you dont need. Be very very careful with all the fees they are charging. After a week return to home, now both my credit card are hacked and charged again by U Save car rental for no reason. I have to close both my credit card now. try your best not to rent from this place.

I was charged 75$ for a cleaning fee... Even though I cleaned the entire car. I took it to vacuum before I returned it. This is unbelievable and absolutely rediculous. In order to get my deposit back I had to call them as they completely forgot about it

Good place, got us in time and shuttle service to the airport was hassle free. Id add about $300 or so for insurance and another $300 if your under 25 like us. We where quoted around 550 but ended up with $1100 for a week but everywhere else was booked and we would be without a rental car 🚗 so I cant fault them.

Onces out of the airport it was great to see the U-Save van already there and the driver was friendly, we got to the place quick and safe. Arrived at the lobby of U-Save and there was a longgggggg line to wait however once I was called Great customer service Rep. Hector help me with my booking and I was out in less then 5min but still had to wait for 15-30 minutes for an employee to get the car.

Absolutely horrible. We rented through Expedia and they ended up charging us $800 MORE than expected. The employees claimed it was necessary to pay all these extra fees and there was a fee for paying with a credit card as well which would be even more for someone a year younger than the age of 24, while already charging us for not being 25+. We ended up taking the car because we had no other options. 2 days into using the car, all the lights in the car came on and the car was not running correctly. My partner called the company and they hung up in his face when he tried explaining to them the problem. After getting testy with them, they finally agreed to call him back even though they were speaking to me on the phone already. They told us we could drive the car 3hrs back and get a new one. Once we got back they barely even checked the car during the quick inspection and we spent an hour waiting for a new one. They offered no refund or apology. But hey! At least the guy running the shuttle was nice.

Stay away if you can. Big Delays during pick up from the shuttle to the actual counter. Attendant was on the phone with someone else during the whole transaction, very unprofessional if you ask me. Had to go thru two cars before getting one that was actually smoke free. I do not recommend.

Customer service is non existent. Hit you with extra fees that aren’t listed on the website and that you don’t really need. Just plain rude people at the Isla Verde location. This best person I dealt with there was the shuttle driver and he didn’t speak. They don’t deserve your business.

I have used U-save several times over the last few months. Almost every time, Jessie provides me with superb service. He explains every aspect of the rental process extremely well and even recommended points of interest. My honest review to prove why Expedia recommended usave at 47%.The shuttle driver has some serious attitude and almost want to fight with customer because he was chatting with his friends at work while customers actually have flight to catch.The lack of seriousness and professionalism is brining a bad name to the company. Please screen your staff for hospitality mentality before hiring. The driving itself by the shuttle driver is very unsafe.

Horrible customer service! Very unprofessional team including thier general manager Yesede. During my visit, someone scratched the car on the parking lot, and it took me 2 month to get a response from Yesede with estimate. Absolutely unacceptable! They were rude on the phone claiming that very busy and just ignored all my emails as well as requests from the insurance company.

Never in my life had such a horrible experience with a car rental. This one top it. Please stay away from this company if you want to avoid a headache. It was a red flag the minute I walk into this place and see how customers were so angry. I had no choice to take this company due that I missed a flight with 2 young’s kids and I felt it was my only choice. But they change you unexpected charges $100 cleaning fee additional charge if you use a debit card and there vehicles are not in no good condition. The managers and employees give you a horrible customer service. Hector Rivera manager has very poor managing skills. Please stay away from this company you pay for what you get.

Terrible. They ended up charging us $600 more than expected and they took an extra charge of $74 out if our account. Even though we have insurance, they told us we couldn’t rent the car without purchasing their insurance. The shuttle never came to pick us up so we had to pay for a taxi to the rental place. They never answered the phone when I was calling the shuttle for close to an hour. We called the corporate number and they couldn’t contact the office for this location either. When we told them about this, they brushed it off. They charged us for a $300 deposit without informing us of that deposit and the car was not properly cleaned because there was sand all over the floor. Online we were told the insurance would be around $77 for the week when in actuality it was $300. I would not recommend this rental company at all.

The best part was the van driver who picked us up from the airport. Friendly and attentive. Due to covid there is a long line to get out of the airport. Hence not being on time to our reservation, they could not hold the car.I was not too upset, but there was a crowd of unhappy customers that had been waiting up to two hours for a car, some no cars available. Needless to say the vibe was that of angry customers and a staff with hands tied.

Worst car rental experience Ive ever had. After having called to inform them that our flight was delayed, they reassured us that our reservation was still active. I called them multiple times to let them know our status and every time they told me not to worry. Once we got our luggage, I called to check on their shuttle. They said that the shuttle will be at the airport in about 10 minutes. 40 minutes later it finally arrived. The driver was very friendly and we even tipped him. Once we got to the counter excited to pick up our vehicle, we were informed that our reservation had expired. I explained to them that I had called many times to inform of the flight delays and was reassured that everything was ok.I tried speaking to the manager but it was a total waste of time. He asked me for a name of the person that I spoke with which I was not able to provide but they only have a one-person counter so he absolutely had to know who was working that day.Do not rent from this company. You will regret it!THEY SUCK!

If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. The customer service was terrible! From the moment of my arrival at the rental place I was immediately turned off by the long wait time just to speak to a representative about the pick up. This place was classless, the workers were rude, and they were dishonest about the way in which they provide services. Their rentals are assigned by the class of the vehicle (i.e. SUV or Regular 4 door car). If there are others in line waiting for a vehicle in the same class as yours, you have to wait tour turn to receive a rental (which could be hours).I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They are also rude to their tourists who’s are not Spanish speaking.Do better. Your best luck is to Uber or rent at a high end rental company and pay the dividend.

Shady car rental place. Do not rent from them. I made reservations through Carrentals.com and was able to cancel my reservation free of charge (confirmation image attached). However, I see a $50 charge on my credit card statement. When I called the car rental agency, they stated their terms and conditions will charge $50 for cancellations. Nowhere was this stated upfront when I booked through Carrentals.com. Customer service on the phone was extremely rude, passive agressive, and unhelpful. Spare a little more money and rent elsewhere from a reputable name rental agency. DO NOT RENT from U-Save

Completely unprofessional! Stole our deposit, and kept telling us that we would receive it shortly, until finally they said we wouldn’t receive it at all because of the contract that was signed without the terms and conditions provided. There are so many other rental places on the island that we’ve rented from with absolutely no issues. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Horrible customer service! Do not explain or have any patience! I originally booked through orbitz and when I arrived to pick up the car the total amount they were charging me was hundreds more than original price. Also if you don’t have a credit card they will place a 300$ hold on your card.

I never leave reviews However after the experience I’ve had with this location I had no choice.1. COMPLETELY unorganized and certain staff members move with ZERO urgency.2. They told my wife $40/day in additional coverage is MANDATORY without a credit card, however it wasn’t until I googled their $15/day coverage did we realize all the other coverage was added just to increase our price and if I didn’t ask a question they wouldn’t have taken it off. I understand people need to make money but that is a complete lack of integrity and makes me wonder how many people were forced to think they needed the extra insurance.3. I left something in the vehicle we returned which I didn’t realize until we got to the airport. I called and was told to wait. As I’m waiting I could hear nothing but laughing and joking in the background and eventually they hung up on me after waiting for 20 minutes on hold. Still received no answer if they found my item. I called back and the phone keeps beeping “busy” or “disconnected.”Overall I will never rent from U Save again nor would I recommend anyone rent from this location.

Worst rental car place I’ve ever seen in my life. The manager on duty Saturday 7 Aug. at 6 PM was rude and unprofessional. They cancelled our reservation because we were late as if we can control Airport customs. I guess he wanted to closed for the day. Never use them again, the place should be shut down.

I had a reservation for a car which was booked over a month in advance. The reservation was for 1030 and I called at 12 when my flight had arrived to request a shuttle. They informed me they had cancelled my reservation because it was over an hour late.The only way to know about this policy is to click through three screens into an “other” section when booking the reservation. No where else is this cancellation policy stated. In addition, the terms state that the cancellation period is 2 hours and for high season it is 1. High tourist season in puerto rico is December to May. I was left without any sort of vehicle or alternative.

I didnt realize Puerto Ricos time zone was an hour ahead when I made my reservations. I was late to pick up my car and was thinking of canceling due to my tardiness. I called and they reassured me that they had a shuttle waiting outside of airport. It runs every so often to pick up those who are renting. Excellent customer service, AFFORDABLE prices(especially compared to the rental places at the airport), and great selection of vehicles. I recommend and will be using this company for my next stay! I booked through Expedia, which of course online has a different prices, in the term and conditions it says other fees may apply. I.e I was a driver under 25 so I expected the prices to be different in person. Also having your own insurance, additonal drivers,whether or not you want tolls factors in as well.
