If you are interested in an inexpensive fast good regular hair cut Dave is GREAT! Just be aware he has strong political opinions so I would avoid trying to disagree with them. Just sit back and enjoy a great fast regular hair cut and understand everybody has their own opinions and this is his show. My go to place even though my politics the exact opposite!

Went here as a kid and got to meet Hank and Paul back in the day. This is a really classy place and they treated me really good. I got my hair cut today and got reaquainted with an old friend. Best service and haircut and as an adult, now, it takes me back. Keep up the excellent Job, Dave.

Quick and affordable hair cut, but the barber spent most of the time talking about the problem with all other barber shops and isnt interested in cutting trending styles (only sticks to what he knows and likes).

I have been going to get my haircut from Daves family since it was Hank and Pauls barbershop. My family has followed them from their original shop in Chula Vista Mall (building isnt even there anymore) to East J Street to 3rd Aveneue to where Dave is on Broadway now. Dave even went to my parents house when they were caring for my elderly uncle to cut his hair on Daves day off until my uncle passed away. Dave just runs a simple shop that is not noisy and where you can get a good cut, fair price and good conversation. Nothing shady here. Just a great guy whos family has supported Chula Vista and its community for a very long time. I am honored to get my haircut by Dave.

Went in today for haircut and a beard trim. I asked for a fade on the sides and asked Dave to keep the hair on the sides up by the crown of the head so I could style that bit down.(I style my hair as a comb over) He decides hes cutting the side of my head all one length. Instead of fading it. He didnt even use after shave. And he also took the liberty of trimming down the length of my beard when I clearly asked I wanted to keep the length because Im growing it out and all I needed was my sides of the beard shaped up. He doesnt have a head recliner either apparently. Worse service Ive received in a long time. I told him right away the the haircut he provided wasnt what I asked for. All he said was to not pay him so I didnt. This place isnt recommended. Beware.Response.(No. Dave. What I wanted was a good haircut, maybe you should learn to pay attention and listen to your customers. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe you had an off day, who knows. Im not in the least mad, all Im doing is describing what happened, at the least you admitted to it not being what I had asked for and you told me not to pay you which shows your have good qualities in your character.)

Daves good old school barber

I have been coming to Daves for the past 14 years. He always makes coming in for a haircut a pleasant experience. It is like going to an old style Barber Shop.

My son we went out there to do the cut hair and my son love it I would definitely recommend this place.

He gives me excellent haircuts evertime. I am never disappointed.

Dont waste your money with this unprofessional shop. I arrived at 145pm to find it closed even though it clearly says 9am-5pm are the hours.
