Tim is incredible, I received so many compliments on his nails. I couldn’t be happier with my second set! He and the staff here are so nice, this spa is a relaxing space and clients always seem happy.

Such a waste of time and money! Went there last Saturday for a manicure, I showed them a picture and my nails ended up nothing like that. The quality was poor, sloppy and the lines weren’t even straight. Paid $55+$15 tips. 3 days later my nail broke, even though my technician convinced me to have powder on so that it would protect my nails. I called in for an appointment, sent them a picture with what I wanted in advance and specified I wanted my nails as thin as possible a couple of times. 1,5 hr later they were thick, bumpy and uneven. Paid $50 with the “discount” included from their previous “great job”. Honestly, I think mediocre is the best you can expect from this place. For $100 in less than a week you can get a great manicure elsewhere. Or at least, make sure you know the technician you are going to, don’t go in blindly and don’t rely on them to advice you somebody good.Edit: the owner contacted me and offered a manicure free of charge, directly by her. Will come back with more info after I get the chance to schedule that.

Was looking for a nail place last minute and well i came across this place but what sold me were the reviews!THAT BEING SAID, amazing! I loved the service I received and I loved the atmosphere. Definitely think they are doing a great job and hope the best to this salon!

The guy did not understand English. I asked him 3 times to ONLY change my color, but the old man just kept doing a full manicure and did not do it well. The same day my no chip nail polished chipped. I wanted nail art, but the guy did not understand English, so I didnt even know how to explain what I wanted. While getting my nails done 2 customers came back for nail chip. I never understood why Asian companies only hire there own race.I went back to get my nails fixed and they refused to fix it until I started getting loud and angry and the owner threaten to call the police. I turned my phone on voice translation and the owner lied about calling the police to scare me but couldnt call because they have illegal immigrants working in the Business. The owner also talked bad about me and replied she hate Americans. until I told them I was translating and everyone got quiet and started whispering.Please turn on Google voice translation while in this place and listen to all the bad things they say about Americans.This place should be shut down and I will report this to the BBB.

They were really busy on Father’s Day and was low staff, I came in without an appointment. You would think I had waited forever, but I didn’t . The manager took care of me and was amazing! I been to a lot of nail places around the area, this is the best place.

Tim is the best. I highly recommend that you ask for him. He has never disappointed me. I dont get my nails done often because of the work I do. When I do I go to Tim each and every time. The shop is very nice and spacious. He was recommended to me by my daughter who was recommended by her coworker. So that should tell you how great Tim is.

Love this nail salon however they try to skimp you on points. I have tipped well and had to make sure I get my points. I had a receipt on my phone for proof of points and they refused to give my points. I will be taking my business elsewhere.Maria is an amazing nail artist!

Disappointing and pricy is the best way to describe this place. I came in for the first time to this place to get both a manicure (powder) and a no chip pedi. The pedi came out nice but the manicure was a whole other story!I came in asking specifically for a powder manicure that would have a glow in the dark color, the worker gave me the samples to look at and choose, I chose a lime green neon color and asked about 5 different times to 3 different workers if they were sure it was glow in the dark, point is everyone said it was, they were not glow in the dark at all set aside that I’m almost 100% sure the color they put on me wasn’t even what I chose in the first place. I decided to call them and let them know it wasn’t glow in the dark and the lady’s response was that they did not guarantee any color would actually be glow in the dark, I asked that why wasn’t I informed when I asked about it to begin with or any of the 5 other times. If I would’ve know there was no guarantee I would’ve had so many more options to choose from! I wouldn’t have been limited to about 10 color options! Set all this aside the lady that did my nails made them super bumpy and cut my nails extremely uneven. I will not be going back to this place and I highly suggest others don’t go either.

The place is really nice and very clean. The employees are all really nice. Its very quiet. My go to person is Tim cause hes just amazing in general. Very gentle, polite what else can I say lol.

A little bit of a bummer here. I like to give multiple chances, but unfortunately I had quite a few manicures here (dip) which always ended up chipping after 3-5 days. I’ve had dip manicures at other locations where they don’t have to file down so much of my healthy nail to get a good adherence for the powder. I’d recommend going elsewhere if you’re looking for a good style + a business that cares about your nail health.

Like others have mentioned below, the no chip doesn’t last very long. I had been coming here for years and absolutely loved my experience. However, if I’m paying more for a no chip, I’d hope that it would last longer than a week. This has happened to me about 3 times. And even though they have been kind enough to fix the issue, the issue continues! I would go in to get a few nails fixed and a few days later, the chipping would start. I’ve Given them enough chances but I will no longer visit this place.

Came in for my appointment at 1pm with my friend and they took her for a pedicure, and had me sit and wait for 50 minutes for my manicure. We checked in every 10 minutes and her technician kept saying “5 more minutes”. At the end, they did offer any discount or anything. My friends technician apologized and said she would go speak with her manager and then she never returned. Absolutely ridiculous! Do not come here!

I have gone several times to this place because I love the way they work, but this time that I went on Sunday 3/14/21 with my daughter to do a full set nails, I was very disappointed. Not only cause of what they charged, but the quality of work its lousy. It hasnt even been a week that my daughter and I had our nails done and I already have a broken nail and my daughter had stones on her nails and their gone. I Paid $60 and gave $10 tip. My daughter paid $70 and gave $20 tip. For what theyre charging they should do a better job. Will definitely not be returning to this place.

Ive given this place way too many chances simply because its clean and in a convenient location but Ill never go back. Ive had decent manicures and pedicures before but theyre far from great and definitely not worth the price. Additionally, the man that works there is the rudest, meanest person I have ever met. Twice Ive seen him make customers cry. Hes aggressive and grabs your fingers with way too much force and constantly messes up and blames it on the customer. I have no idea why hes still allowed to work there.

My coworker recommended this place and I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I have been to MANY different nail salons and can genuinely say that this salon did the BEST nail job that I have ever had. The reservation process was easy and we got in right away; my nail tech was Hannah and she is hands down the best nail tech I have ever had. She attended to every single detail and made sure to be precise and very fast. I could not be happier with my nails and will be going here from now on.

I’ve been searching for a nail salon here in Chicago for about 4 years now and I’m glad to say that I’ve finally found it!!! The ladies here are so nice and I honestly cant wait to come back. First time designing my nails and it has been over a year since Ive had a mani/pedi. They wouldnt give up until they got it right. :) Absolutely loved this place!!!

Was hopeful for a great visit after my go-to salon unexpectedly closed. Was promising when we walked in to a very clean, sanitized, open space with plexiglass dividers, spaced out parties, and dozens of colors to choose from. Unfortunately, even with the piles of nail samples, time and time again ‘we’re out of that color, pick another’ until I just told them I didn’t really care what color, I just wanted polish on my toes. Then, the color I asked for initially ‘was found’. Pedicure was nice otherwise. I wish I could say the same for the manicure. Again, after deciding on chrome polish, I was told that 4 different chrome colors I selected were out. This was after my friend already had the chrome base on her nails. The manager came by and instructed both of our nail technicians to use a dip powder to create a similar effect, which seemed to work great and achieved the look I wanted. Unfortunately, the paint job was messy and does not look finished. They finished off the mani as a no-chip, but when it came to checkout, the nail technician said under her breath to add $10 to our services for the dip color, which we were NOT informed of ahead of time. I left feeling less than enthused, which was affirmed a short while after when my no-chip polish chipped within hours and my toes were smudged after being almost dry but the technician insisted on putting an oil on top to further protect them. I am now less than 12 hours in to a fresh mani-pedi with both my toes and fingers looking busted. I’m disappointed, and will continue my search without returning to Wonder nails.

This location is inconsistent. For starters they have a poor system of keeping track of people at the door. Secondly, unless your familiar with the techs you can’t count on a good mail job.

Ive visited Wonder Nails several times. Unfortunately, over time, the quality of service has diminished quite a bit. Last week, my services started out poorly. My technician was on their phone, but later apologized, which I appreciated. As my technician was finishing my nails, a woman came by and commented on how short my nails were. Regardless of her opinion, I am paying to enjoy a service, not to be critiqued. The no chip polish came off within two days. It was clear it wasnt done properly, which again was quite frustrating considering the cost. I will not return.

They do the best dip powder Nails in Chicago. Every other place told me that they couldn’t paint designs or do ombré with dip powder. Jessica laughed and told me they were crazy (she’s right!) and then showed me all the different things I could choose from right then and there. I have yet to bring in an example photo that Hannah or Jessica can’t make happen. They’re amazing, and I can’t see myself going anywhere else. If they don’t have what they need for a design, they order it before you come back the next time and make sure to remind you that they have it now, and offer to do it.Edit 4/3/18: the best artist they have there is Quyen (think that’s how you spell it!). She takes her time, so everything is always perfect. I prefer her whenever possible!

Terrible experience with a woman who’s name I think was Maria. Normally this place is great. What makes me leave this bad review is the fact that there was no remedy for my situation. They told me I had a week to redo my nails but part of the problem was the woman cut my nails WAY too short and burned my cuticles. With painful cuticles and nails that were still way too short only 4 days after my manicure, what’s the point of redoing them? She pretty much looked at me and said “oh well”. She said I had only two more days to get them redone since they were done 4 days ago and that to come in “tomorrow or the day after” and “the manager MIGHT be here”.........Every finger is a different shape, my cuticles are burned and my “no-chip” is chipping after only 4 days. Guess who’s not going back? ::raising hand::

Always super clean nails done perfectly

This place is clean, efficient, and friendly. They have a points system so if youre a returning customer you can get some extra discounts over time. They offer a lot of different services and have skilled technicians to provide them. My technician is Hannah, shes truly gifted and weve gotten relatively close over the time Ive been going there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a regular nail place or if they need something special done like a design.

My go to even after moving out of the area, clean, pretty, friendly, and top notch nail technicians.

I keep going to this place just cause how fast they can be with good job, but they can’t make their mind about charges! I usually go for no chip manicure, once I went to just remove it they charged me regardless I had it done at their store, today I did regular manicure and they still charged me 5$ for removing it although I still did a service!!

I almost didnt come here after seeing recent reviews but Im glad I did. I was seated immediately for my full set with Maria. I was a walk in. She did an amazing job. Very detail oriented. I got medium/long coffin shaped nails. Its hit or miss with rather a nails shop with do them right. The acrylic was nice, even and thin like I like. The shape was very symmetrical and perfect. Will definitely be back.

I have been going to this place for 10 years. Whether it was in the older small location or in the new location, the service has always been great. I have tried going to different places that are closer to my house but I always end up coming back here and now I honestly will not go anywhere else. Everyone here does a great job and on the rare occasion something is wrong they fix it.

This is by far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to! I’ve been coming here for years and even moved an hour away and really missed coming to this place, that I recently made the hour out drive here. And I’ll keep coming back. No one treats me better or does better nails than this place. They take the time to do a really nice job on your nails! Other salons I’ve gone too it’s also a rush to do you nails and they end up breaking or don’t look very nice. Jessica the owner and Jenny, as well as the rest of the staff, will work on your nails until they are perfect! They do many designs, more designs than anywhere else I’ve ever gone. The salon is very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere too. There are so many colors to choose from, and show them a picture of what you like and they will match it, or they can try out new designs on your nails. I will not recommend this place It’s not a place to relax you are rush and I felt as if I was going to a drive thru of fast food, in and out between 30minutes needless to say no pampering or relaxin and if that was not enough my no chip mani started to chip in less than a week, and since I had a mani/pedi too Much $$ for the cheap stuff they use.I guess they were in a hurry so they can play cards Imagine that!

Jessica’s salon is located in Roscoe Village in a very easy convenient location with wonderful staff. I have been seeing Hannah which is my favorite nail girl here. She is one of the best here. She is always accommodates all my needs even if it’s last minute. All of the staff here are amazing. I had Jenny for years and Jessica and just love Hannah though. Jenny and Jessica are very artistic and detailed with any design you choose. This salon is my favorite and don’t think I will ever go anywhere else.

Ive been looking for a new nail salon for a while now, and I think Ive found the best one in the city. I was able to book my appointment online and when the time came, I was taken care of promptly. When I arrived, I showed Hannah a picture, and was surprised at how much she cared when she replicated it. She really took her time (in a good way) and made sure my nails were evenly shaped and coated with color. She even redid a couple of them (without me prompting) because they werent to her standards. I really appreciated this. All of the women working here seemed happy to be there and were supportive of one another. It was a great environment. I am beyond happy with my experience here and I will definitely be going back!

Not real gel like they advertise. Also, theyre very rough and care more about hurrying up than to making sure theyre not accidentally cutting you or ruining your real nail.

I never review anywhere but wanted to share. I came in to get a gel/no chip manicure. I asked how much and he said $30. I decided to get chrome on top. And no one said that would be an extra $15 that I discovered when I checked out. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. Anyway, I found it weird that he didn’t put a base coat on my nail first but I’m not an expert so I went with it. At the end of the service I liked my nails until the next day when the gel chipped on one nail. That has never happened with gel before on my nails. I went back to get it fixed which took probably 30 mins for one nail. The next day or so another nail chipped and then another. Regular polish would have lasted longer. This happened within a week and for $45 this was really disappointing.

The atmosphere is friendly and up beat. The work they do is amazing and worth the cost. I got a full gel set with one color and a small design on the thumbs. My girl friend got the same without the design. They both look spectacular. My only complaint is the difference in cost between the website and the store. The extra $15 was a surprise and there was no explanation as to why. Like I said, the work was worth the cost and I had no issue paying it, they just need to update the website if they are going to charge more so that customers are not surprised.

A great nail salon! I originally went in for a dip manicure but was suggested a dip/ no chip combo to help strengthen my nails and keep them longer so they did a dip base and then no chip over. 2 weeks and its still going strong! Great attention to detail and really friendly service. I went in not really knowing what color I wanted but was assisted quickly and the one woman recommended a fun rose gold glitter! Very professional and great results, my technician took his time to get everything perfect. I also had a pedicure as well and they did a great job to match the sparkles of my fingers to my toes, I just made my second appointment, and will definitely continue to come back!

Had a decent experience while there. Got a pedicure and a dip manicure by 2 people at the same time. Guy who did the dip manicure never cut my cuticles down just filed them with that electric thing which was a little strange. I got my nails done on Friday, 2 of them have chipped already. My last DIP from another salon lasted 3 weeks, no issues. I won’t be back.

I went there for the first time today on a recommendation from my daughter. I am from Washington DC and have been going to the same nail aesthetician for 25 years. Needless to say, I am very particular; but now I have new favorite in Chicago. Hannah gave me a gel manicure and pedicure and truly everything about the service was fantastic. The salon is clean and organized, everyone was friendly and my nails look great! I will be back to visit Hannah whenever I am in town!

Over priced. Terrible work. Told them I wanted classic pedicure for $27. Was charged $30 because he put “special scrub” nails took an hour and a half for poor quality work. Nails are big, clumpy and uneven. Jessica has very nasty demeanor. Will not go back.

First time getting my nails done here and I loved it! Will be coming back because I liked my nail tech so much she was awesome and took her time.

Don’t have the guy do dip bc he doesn’t file them down properly so they look like mounds of nail polish on my fingers. He also didn’t ask me how I wanted them filed and proceeded to make them a square shape which isn’t what I wanted at all. I’ll have to get them redone but I’m not sure I want to come back.

I’m giving three stars because even though my nails got done bomb the colors to my toe nails and my finger nails were two different colors when I had asked for them to be the same kind of pink. Customer service was awesome everyone was nice and not rude like other nail salons I’ve been too, I only noticed because when I went to go try on some heels afterward I noticed them being two different kind of pink. One peachy pink and on my toes were more of an actual pink. I have bad OCD so I kept bugging about them but I hate to be that customer to come back and and be like There’s been a mistake especially after paying $95.00 cause I got designs and everything. Will I come back to do my nails here? Yes I will. Only I’ll make sure they’re using the right colors Especially when your spending that much for your nails.

I came here twice and Im not going back again. The first time i went was for my wedding nails, got a pink ombre. The acrylic nails were so bulky and uneven and the no chip shine didnt last 2 weeks. I paid too much for the quality. I went again yesterday for a fill in and no chip color. So disappointed that the polish is full of air bubbles and the acrylic is even thicker than last time. The nails are not smooth finished at all with many dents and bumps. They over charge, are so rude and dont even try to make them perfect.

If I could give this place a 0, I would. I am an African American woman. I walked in the salon with two other young ladies (caucasion) directly behind me. Jessica asked me what I wanted and then she asked the two other ladies behind me what they wanted. All of us were getting our nails done. Jessica seated both of the other two ladies who came in after me, down first, and then told me to pick a color. I told her that I didn’t want a color, just clear polish. She had me wait until another worker finished a pedicure before I was seen. I informed Jessica that I came in first and she told me that the other two ladies were being seen because her co-worker couldn’t do an acrylic overlay. That was a complete lie. I was very upset about this incident and I was totally offended. I didn’t get loud or be disrespectful. I told Jessica that I would never return and I meant it. The only reason why I didn’t leave was because It was late and I really needed my nails done. It is really sad that racism still exists and that people treat others unfairly based upon the color of their skin and not the content of their character. I will not do back since I was discriminated against. Jessica nor Mimi apologized.

My mother and I have been going here for years...like 8+ years and every time we leave satisfied. Its a beautiful atmosphere. very clean. the workers are very nice and they want to make sure you leave feeling beautiful.

The lady who did my nails took a long time and supposedly made sure that my nails were the same length. I told her that my thumb nails were not equal and still didn’t get it right. Now I have crooked and uneven nails. Had to go home and try to file them myself. Also, you can see holes from the dried nail polish and the poor filling.

I thought I would never leave nail spa I was going to for over 6 years until I stopped in at Wonder Nail Spa. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon near closing time to check pricing and if they had dipping nail powder. They were so welcoming, professional and helpful. Although close to closing Salina did my nails. I was so impressed for first time visit. She seemed to know exactly how and what I wanted done. Mind you it had been months since my nails had been done. Afterwards I made next Appt for 2 weeks. Returned and got nails, pedicure and eyebrows done by Salina. Everything was just perfect. Clean, beautiful place. I like that for pedicure; plastic covers used over wash bowl for your feet. Much more sanitary and modern than my old place. This is definitely my new nail spa!!

They used to do great work here until they moved into the larger space. The last couple times the woman whom I presume is the manager there, was very aloof and doing mediocre work on my and my friends nails to say the least. I figured she was having a day and decided to go back. I had an appt on a wed after work and was still made to wait 45 minutes with no update as to who was going to do my nails and how much longer of a wait it would be. Finally I got up to leave after sitting there at an empty station waiting and then was told that I was next and to come sit at a different station and that she was sorry. It wasnt even busy and I had made an appt! As I left she did say call back tomorrow and she would give me 15 percent off but honestly I just felt ignored and unappreciated. There were a couple girls that walked in after me and got sat right away. I wont be going back and I had been going there for the last 8 months.

I had a bad experience recently I got my nails done two weeks ago a gel full set ombré pink with a granite design. The women doing my nails left my nails all crooked and uneven. I tried telling her if she didn’t know how to do them it was okay I could pick something different but she got all upset. She spent about 4 hours doing my nails when it should take about 30 to 45 min I’m my opinion. I have been coming here since I was in high school and never experienced Getting my nails done this bad. I don’t think that it was fair that I got over priced and paid a lot of money especially when my nails were crooked and uneven. The granite design wasn’t even granite it was like two grey lines painted like a feather. I wasn’t satisfied because I seen on Instagram a day after that you guys did a similar style of ombré with an actual granite design. I just don’t understand why she couldn’t have just said hey I don’t know how to do this I could try something different if you like. I honestly wouldn’t have been mad at all but everytime I tried to put my input she would get upset.

I came in for a no chip mani and regular pedi. It’s less than a week later and my nails have already all chipped or the polish peeled off completely from my fingers. There is also a horrible mold smell under the polish that I’ve never experienced with a manicure before. The quality of service was subpar for what I paid. I’m not even willing to go back in to have them fix their mistakes because of how bad of a job they did.

I was first time in this nail salon, I really enjoyed my manicure and pedicure by Quyen, she was awesome . She spent her time giving me relaxing, perfect pedicure and she was very nice and sweet . I love her and the team . It was pleasure visit this salon . I will certainly come again !Thank u girls

I used to love coming here when they were at the smaller location . Ever since they moved to the larger location the customer service has become non existent . They are unorganized and rude don’t bother making an appointment bc you will still wait an extremely long time bc although they have you check in they never seem to be on the same page on who’s next and skip over people that have been waiting literally hours . The dipping powder I got done chipped and broke off in 3 days never coming back . I’m assuming bc they’re rushing there quality in work has truly suffered . If I could give zero stars I would .

You think with a walkin of a party of 4, that we would be given amazing treatment. This was exactly the opposite of what was given. As my one daughter got her nails done the rest of us waited an entire hour as more and more walkins came in and were attended before us. This is just not fair, and I know not all had appointments and were walkins just like us.

I LOVE Wonder Nails! Ive been coming here for years and I always had wonderful service! Needless to say, my nails always look gorgeous!!
