DO NOT GO THERE!!!The Manager named Michael is very aggressive. He did a terrible job on my nails. He agreed to fix it when I complained, then suddenly started yelling asking me to get out. He became agitated when I asked him why, I thought he was going to hit me. He refused to issue a refund.Im definitely reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I walked in and only waited about twenty minutes. I showed my nail tech of how I wanted my nails and she nailed it. The shop was clean and classy. I will definitely be coming back❤

Going to this place is a gamble of “Worth it, or Not”The quality of work is okay, not much better than any other standard place.Every time I go, I make an appointment. When I get there, after check-in I either am waiting 30+ mins in the lobby area just to get seated. OR I’m seated right away but am sitting there for 15 mins just to get started.Service is really inconsistent, but they have a parking lot.

I came to this salon for 3 years and will never go back because of a tech named Theresa and whichever man was at the front counter. I had made an appointment, and showed up on time only to be told that I did not pay for my service last time so Theresa does not want to do your nails. Aside from it being completely untrue and having proof via my bank statement and Venmo payments for tips, this was incredibly humiliating. Why would I go back to some place, let alone for years, if I had not wanted to pay? I was obviously very upset and then told that maybe it was a mix up. Theresa was in the back speaking her native tongue and did not even apologize or budge out of her seat. Horrible customer service, rude, and accusatory. I wouldnt return if it were free

Annie is my go to! She does everything! Dip nails, spa paraffin and stone pedicures and waxing! Highly recommend. She is my favorite.She is a true artist/perfectionist.Fairly priced services.

I have been coming to this shop, for over a year now. The men are fantastic, and there are a few woman who are very nice and do good work. I have had a lady burn me, by the third time, i told her, she didnt even say sorry and got mad when i asked for another tech.The work is nice, however, If you make an appointment, there is no structure. They dont write down the appointments, or have a calendar they are doing it all by memory. Ive had appointments and waited over an hour. They also dont always take who comes in first. Yesterday, I went in and after an hour and 15 mins of waiting I had to leave. The techs started on people who came in after me.Ive been going to this place for over a year, and if i go today and experience any of these issues again, I will take my business elsewhere. I tip well, i dont complain and usually im ok with the product.

Some of the staff are passive aggressive and if you do something to upset them, they file your nails very rough. After i asked the girl if she could go easier with the filing, she acted as if she didnt hear me and continued with the same amount of force.They also do not clean the stations after someone has finished with that station, leaving all of the filing dust.

They are awesome and very professional... The owner he is great also... Quiet, relaxing, and very respectable to the customers... I read a couple of reviews I have.been goin here awhile now.. Never experience what they said about the salon if this lady worked there, SHE ISNT THERE ANYMORE I PROMISE YOU THAT..

Great pedicure, not too rough but helped get calluses off. Giving 4 stars because I got my bag stolen here and there wasnt anything anyone could do. Great job, I just wish there was more protection for customers

Had one of the better shellac manis I’ve had here. I can’t remember the techs name, but she was younger, and she applied the polish very carefully and left no gel around the edges or on my cuticles. They looked great! Reasonably priced, clean and convenient location.Update: have gone about 4 times, all good experiences! I’ve never had a male tech but have had 4 separate female techs and all did a nice job! Annie (not sure of the spelling) did dip on my natural nails this last time and she was so careful and precise! They look great (:

I have come to this location twice and they lock their doors at least 30 minutes before the time that they advertise on their door and online. It says they close at 8PM during the week days but they actually close at 7:30 PM or earlier.The second time I came here, it was on a Saturday. I arrived at 6:15pm and they wouldn’t take me even to do a quick basic manicure without polish. The hours on their door says 7pm on Saturdays.All in all, this business false advertises their hours of service. If they don’t want to work past 6:15 pm then change your closing time on the door and online to 6:15 pm. Also change your closing time during the week to 7:30 pm rather than 8pm.I get wanting to leave work on time. I work in a pharmacy and but I would never turn customers away 30 minutes before closing just because I don’t want the inconvenience of having to stay past closing to finish servicing them. If they knew I wouldn’t help them near closing time, they would just go somewhere else to fill the script.

My favorite nail salon. The nail techs always do my nails to perfection. They have never filed my nails down to much. They cut my cuticles perfectly. The Polish and dipping powder here is beautiful. My nails always look good when I leave here. I could come here on a bad day and walk out feeling sexy and happy. Great service from the entire staff.

Was charged for things I didnt ask for not received. I walked in and said I wanted a full set acrylic red and black ombre. I was told to wait. I sat there as he shaped my nails roughly, and was told to wash my hands when he was finished I asked about color he said we dont do that here. Just the two colored dip.

I’ve come here before for acrylic work. It seems they only have a like two nail technicians that do acrylic. The girl is very aggressive and bender my fingers in way they shouldn’t be. All I kept hearing was my bones cracking and literal pain from how she would bend them. And then there’s a guy that’s pretty good. I got an ombré set with him and the results were okay. Ombré is hard to do so I won’t be over critical. However the main issue I have now is.... there is fungus on my thumb. This place took off my old nails (no issues) and put a brand new set for the ombré. I took it off and noticed my nail was crumbling and there’s green residue. I cleaned it up but it still hurts. I’ve been getting acrylics for 4 years and never had fungus. This is the first time I’m experiencing something like this and unfortunately will never be coming back.

This was my first and last experience with this nail salon . I came in and waited patiently for someone to take me . A lady told me to sit down and she began doing my nails. She couldn’t remove a nail to repair so became frustrated and asked another tech to remove the nail . That tech ( a male ) scolded her takinh me and not another women that he claimed had been waiting . It turns out the other women hadn’t been waiting for nail service she was just with someone who was . The lady who started my nails, was told to stop doing them and let someone who had more experience going long nails finish. I sat for 45 minutes waiting with my nails undone . The polish was removed and two nails . I asked a tech how long I would have to wait for someone to finish and he told me 20 minutes and that I could talk to the manager . I looked over at the manager who had just taken a customer who walked in after me ! I sat and waited because I couldn’t go out with my nails in the condition they were . The customer service was horrible and the attitude of the techs were even worse .

I visited here out of town to get my nails done for a wedding I was going to, and found this location and ended up loving the service. I got my nails and toes done and it was very relaxing. Had a great selection of colors.

Went in on a Sunday expecting the best but they’re just like the same Chinese nail salons! My nails look horrible!! The man that did my full set “gel nail” used acrylic powder and put a gel top coat on top and put it under the uv light not to mention horribly angled my “almond shaped nails “ they over charge $28 for a basic pedicure and they purposely don’t have any pricing on the walls just to charge certain people what they want! The lady who did my eyebrows didn’t know what she was doing i have two different eyebrow shapes (one is round the other is boxed)Pros: Quiet, clean

I completely forgot to ask for her name but their is the nicest and sweetest woman their who did my eyebrows today. I could not ask for a more amazing service from her! Before coming here I had gone to a different salon that made my eyebrows look terrible! I came and right away she fixed them! Sensed that their was something wrong with my day and made me feel so much better and made my eyebrow look AMAZING!!! At the end of the day she ended up giving me and my girlfriend free lotion to calm me down. I completely forgot to ask for her name but if her manager reads this SHE DESERVERS A RAISE!!! RIGHT AWAY

Ive only had the no chip mani for a couple of hours, but so far so good. Service was nice, fast. A good assortment of colors to choose from. To leave a tip, bring cash, I had a card and was unable to.

***OVER CHARGED AND REFUSED TO REFUND*** I came in for a gel fill, was told to pick my color from the selection they had in the basket. Got my fill, then at the end was charged an extra $15 for the polish. I asked why bc it was not communicated that there would be an up-charge, the menu of services stated “gel fill $25” (no other up charge was listed in the “add on” services section that matched my receipt either. I was also not given an option of any other colors etc. They stated there is an extra $15 charge for gel. When I said I was not informed of any additional charges and that I was just told to pick my color from that selection the man then stated “that’s your fault then, you should have asked.” ....excuse me?! I expected to pay what was listed on their price list, not anything else...especially when I wasn’t informed of other options OR there being any additional charges. The man also stated “we don’t have every fee listed on our brochure, but it’s in the computer. We don’t have the up-charge listed on there for dip powder, but there is one.” I replied “Actually, yes, you do have that listed as an add on charge, and that’s right here...but NO WHERE do you have this charge listed that you have charged me on my receipt.” They refused to apologize for not informing me, repeatedly stated that it’s my own fault and I should expect added fees. Why should I expect added fees if it is not listed nor was I given any other options or informed?? Their only solution offered to me was for them to physically take off the service I just received and re-do it with different nail polish (which would have taken at least another 15mins+ on top of the hour I was already there for.) ****BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING YOU ON YOUR CARD!!!****

The owner Michael has been doing my nails so many times & just today another male yeld at me that they charge extra for shaping you tips round. If the owner has never charged me for that on a full set and they dont have it written anywhere in the service menueI dont understand how someone can come up with different price every time. offten they changed prices but this is ridiculous. full set comes only square he said since when??????

I wanted to like this place because it’s so close to home but I was treated like trash. I asked for coffin shaped nails. He did almond shape and said I asked for it. Im like no I didn’t and he still insisted I did. His name is Micheal. Then the polish was too thick.He implied he will only do one coat. Lord he did such a sloppy job. I ask to get it off I had to wait an hour to get it fixed. He was so inconsiderate that I had my five year old with me (who also got services done). She was hungry and aggravated. Never again.

I saw this salon when I went to the shopping center on Clybourn/Division to go to the Jewel. I went home and read good Yelp reviews, so I decided to try Grand Nails. There are probably 10 nail salons within walking distance of my home, but I had not found one that warranted a second visit. This salon is spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. I had the combo Grand Mani/Pedi which includes paraffin bath and salt scrub for hands and feet. My manicurist Jahnny was fabulous! As i relaxed in an incredible massage chair, she did her magic. I highly recommend Grand Nails and definitely will return!

No chip manicure started peeling the day after. My cuticles were picked away by a clipper. Cuticles looked like they needed medical attention. Lately I’ve noticed their doors and windows are filthy. (I patronize the Starbucks next door. ). Convenient yes, but I won’t return.

I went for a no chip manicure that costed me $35.00Which is a little more then other places Ive gone to.I dont have a problem paying for good service, but after a couple of days.My polished starting peeling off.I went for then to repair, in which they did.Now I have most of all the polish peeling off my nails.Which is very frustrating, I dont want to go back again for them to fix the other nails.Dont have time to sit there again.I will never go back the ever again.

Lovely time here. The salon is pretty and the lady working on my mani did a nice job on my nails. The level of detail left me in awe.

Hit or miss. Sometimes get great service, other times not. Usually many nail technicians are sitting around in the pedicure chairs which is unprofessional. Most recently, my cuticle was badly cut, causing a scab and an infection. Was hoping to love this place but disappointed in their skill level and cleanliness.

I came in from out of town for an unexpected death in my family, I needed a way to cheer up after lunch with my best friend. We decided to go to grand nails due to its convenient location to where she stays in old town. I walked in, the place was beautiful. Very much reminiscent of back home. I was looked at by all staff and eventually greeted with a subpar greeting then asked what I wanted. I took a look at their menu and chose a acrylic full set. I was then directed to my left and instructed to choose my color. So I did. The gentleman working with me didnt appropriately greet me. He just had me have a seat and asked me what I wanted. In one bit I explained again that I want an acrylic set more specifically with tips with coffin like shape. He began. When he start shaping I took close attention to the shape that it was becoming. He then asked me what was wrong (he was very intimidating because he kind of scolded me that he wasnt done, and still had shaping to be done.) He proceeded and I just sat back and shut up and did a few things on my phone. When shaping was done he asked for payment before polish, I agreed and then he told me $35. I questioned him because their menu said $28. He told me very firmly the price and emphasized how some things are not itemized in the menu. I told him that wasnt fair to me because if my service would cost more this should have been told to me. My best friend came to my rescue as she could see things were getting heated. He tried telling me that I knew better because Ive been there before and thst isnt true because I live in Wisconsin and when I showed him my id he approved to charge me $28. Worst part the nail tech was being aggressive to my friend trying to make her hit him . Bypassing even finishing my nails. I walked out with no paint. Ive heard this isnt his first time acting a fool here.

Had my eyebrows and feet done, first of all my brows looked like trash the lady dont know what she was doing, and when I got the hot wax on my feet the tech didnt know how to apply the hot wax nor remove it and some of their white customers are kind of rude and racist toward black customers.

2019: Has been fantastic!2018:I was so sad to have a bad experience at my favorite nail salon. I walk in and ask for polish change. Mind you I was here 1 and half ago paid $55 for acrylic.It truly makes a difference when you have abhappa attentive nail tech. I picked my nail polish, ask a tech that was doing her nails if she was going to do my nails. She replies YA... I may be southerner and all but Im sure eberywheve else where I do people reply w/ better attitude. She didnt even look at me.She was on her cell phone, then asks me if I want to pay I say yes. I get up she snatches the card from me and when its time to sign, my hand is out to grab the pen and she just drops it on the coitecotop. Who does this. Im sorry, I didnt ask you to do this job.I had a few issues with one of the nails after drying. She says: you put your hand to close to the fan. I told her my other nails arent messed up. Only this one. She says just say what? Just say what you want?At this point Im not saying anything. I just lnok next time I will be sure to get a different nail tech. CC YOU NEED AN ATTITUDE CHECK & CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Service and great customer service shouldnt change whether I spend $8 dls. Or $100dls.2017:Usually shops are super busy and rushing you out. Im giving 2 stars because ive been going to the salon for the past year a few months after they opened and its been GREAT until today. I had an appointment for 10:30am for both a nail and Pedicure service, and I was seated in Pedicure chair shortly after 10:30. I was told my techician will start my pedi soon. 10-15 mins goes by and Im sitting there looking like a fool and the water is getting cold. I asked when will my tech get there, they kept telling me 10 mins and it ended up turning into a 45min wait with no accommodations, no refreshments at the pedi bowl! I frequent the nail salon on a regular basis and I love the atmosphere. I work at a professional salon and I am a nail tech myself and I know excellent customer service is accommodating the client where the customer is always right. I was not satisfied with todays service, bad business!! Never let a returning client leave unsatisfied!
